Connection could be validated error in production after renewing FAST Certificate
I have renew the FAST certificate in admin and non admin servers and copied to Sharepoint Application server and ran the
PS C:\> .\SecureFASTSearchConnector.ps1 –certPath “C:\FASTSearchCert.pfx” –ssaName “ ” –username “DOMAIN\SP_Farm”
It error out: Connection to contentdistributor fast.contoso.com:13391 could not be validated.
Check your certificates and ssa configuration and make sure that instance of FAST Search Server backend is running.
And I try to run
Ping-SPEnterpriseSearchContentService –HostName "FQDN"
The ConnectionSuccess value for FASTSearchCert should show "True" if the certificate is configured
properly.
Connection success is always false.
I have done IISreset and tried to renew the certificates couple of times. But no user.
Can anyone please try to point me in right direction.

What service pack and CU do
you have applied to your Fast Search for SharePoint 2010 environment?
Are you putting the port 13991 in your Ping-SPEnterpriseSearchContentService command?
For example: Ping-SPEnterpriseSearchContentService domain.com:13391
Can you confirm that your %fastsearch%\etc\Contentdistributor.cfg has the correct port number 13990
Can you confirm that the Fast Content SSA content distributor section is configured with the correct port number 13991 in the UI?
Can you confirm that the certificate is found in the MMC on the SharePoint crawler node is not showing expired (since you have renewed it)
Can you confirm that the Search Service account is a member of the FastSearchAdministrators group
Can you check if the thumbprint for the contentdistributor in %fastsearch%\etc\nodeconf.xml matches what is in %fastsearch%\etc\node.xml (note: It is not recommended
to update these files manually)
Can you confirm that the
steps you followed to generate the new certificate match the TechNet article

the actual name of your SSA (example: “Fast Content SSA”)
Can
you confirm that there is not a special character in your search service account, such as a dollar sign?

OS X Server (Mountain Lion) 2.2
Using a single SSL Certificate for all services.
Symptom:
Users can't log into their IMAP accounts hosted on OS X Server (Mountain Lion) after renewing SSL Certificate
Diagnostics:
Give you an indication whether it's this problem. Some or all may apply:
Log shows all kinds of dovecot errors. e.g.
dovecotd[nnn]: master: Error: service(config): command startup failed, throttling
config: Fatal: Error in configuration file /Library/Server/Mail/Config/dovecot/dovecot.conf: ssl enabled, but ssl_cert not set
dovecotd[nnn]: master: Error: service(config): command startup failed, throttling
/Library/Server/Mail/Config/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf shows commented out lines:
ssl_cert
ssl_key
ssl_ca
Solution:
Go to the Certificates pane of the Server App and choose Secure Services Using: Custom
Set IMAP and POP server certificates to to None
Keep an eye on what the server App is doing to /Library/Server/Mail/Config/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf
Now set Secure Services Using: <My single SSL Certificate for all services>
Keep an eye on what the server App is doing to /Library/Server/Mail/Config/dovecot/conf.d/10-ssl.conf and you should now see all the ssl* settings as you would expect, and pointing to the correct SSL certificate in /etc/certificates
Hope this works for you too!I had something similar happen. When I do anything with SSL certificates it deletes any regular websites. Only the sites that are setup for https are listed.
Couldn't understand why my website wasn't working and it turned out that the system had deleted it. The web server had multiple host set and I had to rebuild all the ones that had used port 80. All the ones that use 443 were fine.

SSPR registration and reset started to fail after renewing the certificates
Hi,
On our FIM 2010 R2 environment (version 4.1.3599.0), after renewing the certificates used on FIM Service/Portal and Password Reset/Registration servers two days back, both the password registration and reset no longer work but instead fails on the last
step of the process. So for example when user browse to https://passwordreset.domain.com and fills in their domain\username and click next, FIM will send a security code (SMS OTP) to user´s mobile phone and once user then fills in code and click Next, the
Communication error 3008 is shown to user. Same happens in the last step of the registration where user reviews that the mobile number is correct before clicking finally next. Once clicked the same error as is with Reset portal is shown to user.
Other changes than renewing the certificates have not been done to the environment after it was working last time two days ago. Synchronization of users/groups create in FIM Portal works normally towards AD.
All servers within FIM environment are on same domain and subnet and firewall is off on all servers.
The following error message as an example is recorded on FIM app log on either of the SSPR servers (two in NLB):

Have you Stop-Start the FIM Service? If not then try this after performing this step. Also, there may be a possibility that the service won't be able to start if there is issue with the certificate.
The SSPR issue is related to certificate only, which might have some missmatch in the thumbprint value or some other problem.
If there is a problem with thumbprint of certificate, then you might see error in the Event Viewer and which can be resolved by making the certificate's thumbprint same within registry.

I tried downloading the latest OS X Mountain Lion and [after a long time... I have a slow connection] I got an error message ... We could not complete your purchase The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.
Everytime I retry or continue the download I just keep getting the same error message!!!
What can I do to get my product?
PMThe only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down. Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.
No trouble at all once I did this.
Reminder: create full backup before you upgrade OS

Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite
HI together,
I'm very annoyed about the fact that I payed for Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium 5 (EDU version) and now I'm not able to use it on my new Mac. The Support team (Chat) from Adobe told me several times that the product/serial or whatever was canceled but this doesn't help me to get the product working and I won't pay again for this software. So what's the reason for cancellation? I can't see reasons for this and I don't understand why Support team can't help me. Already found Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite but this doesn't helped me.

So who is able to reactivate my Serial Number so that I'm able to use my product?

Error msgs in app store; network connection could not be made
Anyone else having trouble downloading apps directly from the appstore on your iPhone or iPad?
50% of the apps do not want to download. The msg I will get is that there was a problem and it will be available for download next time I connect to iTunes. And I already paid for it
Connecting to iTunes on my iMac tonight there were updates available for apps, I clicked to download them and again about 50% of the apps will not download. I now get the error msg that that app blah blah blah could not be downloaded because a network connection could not be made. Even iBooks won't download. Others download fine.
The apps I purschased on my iPad or iPhone and that did not download are nowhere to be seen.
Any insight?

ChristineJust thought I would add that I did every test the help files suggest, no firewall etc.
Strange thing is that after the majority downloaded I had about 55 apps left that could not be updated because of the network connection that could not be made, I downloaded them manually instead of clicking 'yes please do download them all'.
I still came across a few that gave me the msg that an connection could not be made but when I skipped them and came back later to try again it did download. Took some time but I now have them all up to date.
Now see if I can sync the iPhone and iPad.
I run the latest iTunes 10.4.1 (10) and 10.6.8, have not updated to Lion yet.

When I deploy the cube which is sitting on my PC (local) the following 4 errors come up:
Error 1 The datasource , 'AdventureWorksDW', contains an ImpersonationMode that that is not supported for processing operations. 0 0
Error 2 Errors in the high-level relational engine. A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of 'Adventure Works DW', Name of 'AdventureWorksDW'. 0 0
Error 3 Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the dimension, with the ID of 'Customer', Name of 'Customer' was being processed. 0 0
Error 4 Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the 'Customer Alternate Key' attribute of the 'Customer' dimension from the 'Analysis Services Tutorial' database was being processed. 0 0Sorry hit the wrong button there. That is not entire solution and setting it to default would work when using a single box and not in a distributed application solution. If you are creating the analysis database manually or using the wizard then you can
set the impersonation to your heart content as long as the right permission has been set on the analysis server.
In my case I was using MS Project Server 2010 to create the database in the OLAP configuration section. The situation is that the underlying build script has been configured to use the default setting which is the SQL Service account and this account does
not have permission in Project Server I believe.
Changing the account to match the Project service account allowed for a successful build \ creation of the database. My verdict is that this is a bug in Project Server because it needs to include the option to choose impersonation when creating the Database
this way it will not use the default which led to my error in the first place. I do not think there is a one fix for all in relations to this problem it is an environment by environment issue and should be resolved as such. But the idea around fixing it is
if you are using the SQL Analysis server service account as the account creating the database and cubes then default or service account is fine. If you are using a custom account then set that custom account in the impersonation details after you have granted
it SQL analysis administrator role. You can remove that role after the DB is created and harden it by creating a role with administrative permissions.

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X: ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.
Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.

I am using Mac OS X 10.7.5 as of now and when I am trying to upgrade to Mavericks, the App Store is throwing error "The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or not signed".
Is there anything I should do differently? Is anyone else facing the same issue?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Step 1
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting. A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
Step 2
Repeat with this line:

This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
Step 3

Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
You can then quit Terminal. -
Updating InputText after a validation error

I am having problems updating InputText after a validation error.
Im using jdeveloper 11.1.1.1.0
Steps without error validation works correctly
1.-I put 3 in the component "value" (second InputText)
2 .- validation begins, and rightly
3 .- I put the value 1 component "optional" (first imputtext)
4 .- Click the button "move"
5 .- The componte "value" modify its contents appearing 1
Steps with error validation not working properly
1.-I put 4 in the component "value" (second InputText)
2 .- validation begins, and it is wrong. Errror message appears
3 .- I put the value 1 component "optional" (first imputtext)
4 .- Click the button "move"
5 .- The componte "value" does not alter its contents.
Why not change its value after validation error?

After validation fails the new (invalid) value is not set so when you get the value you get the previous (valid) one.
If you want the validation just to warn the user but allow him to continue with executing actions with the new values then you should not use a validator.
You could instead use a valueChangeListener were you can display a message to the user allowing the value to be set normaly.

Hi,
You need to sign in when using Photoshop Elements 12 as it is the method of activation. If you sign out it deactivates that installation.
