CONSISTENT and FLASHBACK_TIME parameters in export

This is what I gather about CONSISTENT (Original exp) and its datapump equivalent FLASHBACK_TIME
If i give CONSISTENT=Y (for exp) or FLASHBACK_TIME=SYSTIMESTAMP (for expdp datapump) and start an export job at 3PM , oracle will export all tables (and all other objects ) as of 3PM. Any changes to schema objects done after 3PM will be ignored. I think Oracle internally uses UNDO tablespace for this feature.
From your experience, what are the consequences you had by not setting CONSISTENT=Y (for exp) or FLASHBACK_TIME=SYSTIMESTAMP (for expdp datapump) ?

That you said is right, the Oacle will export all object as specific SCN at 3PM.
When you use consitenty, flashback_time or flashback_scn in your export, the Oracle read consitenty data in the UNDO tablespace. Its common that ORA-01555 happens when you use this feature.
The "Snapshot to old"is caused by Oracle read consistency mechanism. If you have lots of updates, long running SQL and too small UNDO, the ORA-01555 error will appear.
Therefore, When you use the consistent in your export, make sure that your UNDO tablaspace is large enough.

You need to fill only export parameter and tables parameter
CALL FUNCTION DOWNLOAD

FILENAME = <default file name> -> specify local file name
FILETYPE = <default file type> 'ASC'
MODE = <create new or extend> comment mode
IMPORTING -> comment import parameters
FILESIZE = <size of file in bytes> comment
TABLES
DATA_TAB = <internal table to transfer> -> give internal table
EXCEPTIONS. . . . uncomment all exceptions
this FM will download the data from internal table data to local file as like.txt or .xls

Set up the Preflight panel so it checks image resolution. Ask your printer what the appropriate resolution is for your printing process, and set that in Preflight.

You define a form interface to send data from your application to a form.
Integration
The form interface is a part of the Interface form object and is defined in the Form Builder. The form interface of a form is structured in the same way as the interface of a function module in the system. However, form interfaces do not support Changing parameters.
Prerequisites
●     You have created an Interface form object.
●     The application program provides the data that you want to insert in the form. Therefore, you already know the types of the corresponding variables.

Procedure
       1.      Open the required interface in the Repository Browser of the ABAP Workbench.
       2.      The Interface tab is displayed. Under Form Interface, double-click the Import node.
       3.      You see a screen for entering import parameters. This screen also shows the standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS. You cannot change this parameter.
You use this parameter in your application program, to specify the value for the language setting, for example. To display this structure in the ABAP Dictionary, double-click the SFPDOCPARAMS type.
       4.      XML schema-based interface
○     The standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCXML with the type XSTRING is used for sending data from the application program.
ABAP-based or Smart-Forms-compatible interface
○     To insert a new line, choose Insert Line (). Enter the parameter names of the data you want to import. These names are valid for the whole form and do not have to match the variable names in the data collection program. All data types are valid. TYPE can be selected under Type Assignment.
       5.      When you double-click Export, you see the standard parameter /1BCDWB/FORMOUTPUT of the generated function module. You cannot change this parameter.
You use this parameter in your application program, to make the generated form available as a PDF for further processing, for example.
       6.      To display the exceptions used by the generated function module, double-click Exceptions.
       7.      Activate the interface.
At runtime, the application program must provide the parameters. If a parameter has been defined in the form, but is not defined when the application program is called, then the output of the form ends with the program crashing (hex dump).
However, it is also possible that the application program provides parameters that the form does not need. You do not need to mention these parameters in the form; they can also be specified in a different order from the code of the application program. This has the advantage that an application program can work with several different forms.
Migrated Smart Forms Interface or New Smart Forms-Compatible Interface
When you edit the interface of a migrated Smart Form or a new interface that is compatible with Smart Forms, the Tables option gives you extra parameters. When you set the Import, Export, and Exceptions parameters, the system also lets you use the standard parameters from the Smart Forms.
If you have a Smart Forms-compatible interface, you can use the existing application program of this Smart Form without making any modifications. (See also Switching Runtime in Migrating Smart Forms.)
Result
You have defined the form interface and you can use the specified parameter names in the form context.

After looking at a few of the links I found a mathematical equation that assisted me.
Inches = Pixels/DPI
eg: 3 inches = 300 pixels/100 DPI
Using this equation and the fact that iPhone 4s takes photos that are 3264 x 2448 I was able to work out the largest print I could make with 300 DPI.
Width 3264 pix/ 300 DPI = 10.88 inches
Height 2448 pix/ 300 DPI = 8.16 inches
Therefore, the largest print (with 300DPI) I can make of these photos is 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches.
Which is great!
So is it critical for me to change the dpi in say photoshop or does it not matter as long as I don't go above the 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches?
From what I can gather the smaller I resize the photo the higher the DPI and the bigger I stretch the photo the lower the DPI?

How to open a page from a Form and pass parameters to the form on that page

I found a similar example on this forum, but it did not work for me:

But I want to open a Page containing the Form instead of just opening the Form. Is this possible to open a Page and pass paramters to the page, and then let the form inside the Page access the passed paramters. The reason for this is that a Form cannot be based on a page template, or can it? When opening the form i want to keep the left menu, which I can if it is a page based on my template with the left menu.

Hi,
You can do this by calling the url of the page with the form. You can then use p_arg_names and p_arg_values to pass parameters. In the called form you can get the value from p_arg_names and p_arg_values and assign it to the form field.
You can call this code in the success procedure of the calling form.

Those integrated reports in SSMS are not hosted in SSRS, so there is no URL available where you can navigate to.
The reports run in client side rendering mode = RDLC.

Suggestion on how to include image and text in epub export

I have 12 images like the one below that are included in a book designed for print in ID but also exporting to an epub. I built the image in Photoshop because it needed a stroke and the stroke doesn't export from ID (?). Originally I build the entire image in PS with text. That exports fine.It is anchored inline. But the text is a bit blurry. So I tried just using the image+stroke from PS and then creating a text box in ID inside the image. Then the text and image separated when exported to epub. Any suggestions on how to do this effectively?

I would suggest just keeping the text when you export to epub and then building a div border to create the box around the text.

Aperture has the ability to work with files in their existing location. They are called "referenced masters." When you import images, you should select the "In their current location" in the "Store Files:" drop down box. Have a read of the documentation for full specifics. Unsure how you can resolve your duplication; might be some work but next time have a read of the manual first
Information for versions is stored in the Aperture database (library file). The masters can be inside the library file itself, or they can be somewhere else.

Just for background, in what format are you exporting your images? Also, are you able to export them to your hard drive in your chosen format? I haven't tried exporting directly to CD, but if you're able to export to hard drive and copy to CD, that may be one solution.

Same problem here: I never had a problem with the previous versions and now I don't even get my homepage when I click Firefox. Instead, I am getting a blank screen that says "New Tab", only after I click the "Home" symbol I get my Homepage (Yahoo). It's my understanding based on what another long time contributor stated that Share to iDVD converts direct to a MPEG-2 format and drops it directly into the iDVD Project for you. Share to Media Browser saves it to .MP4 (actually .m4v which is what apple uses for iTunes video,etc) then that gets converted by iDVD into MPEG-2. So something about the export direct to MPEG-2 when you choose Share to iDVD is introducing the problem. That's why Share to Media Browser seems to get around that limitation, it uses a different encoding path altogether.
