Constrains between two controls
Hi,
i have two controls on the FP, each with values from 0 to 512. Is is possible to connect this controls, that if the control 1 has a value of e.g. 130, the second one can't set to a lower value? I need this for the control 2 as well, so that if you select a value of 30, the control 1 shouldn't set higher than 30. I think its not to difficult, but i don't get it.

For us (or you) to implement something like this, the first step is to define what should happen in each case (what if control is already set higher than your limit....?).
So write-up a table identifying each condition and the action that should occur in each case.
Once the "challenge" is clearly defined the solution will reveal itself.

Hi,
I simply wish to sync two controls in the following way:
1. I have Control A displaying three values (like a combo box) which
cannot be changed by the user, for example: X, Y, Z
2. The second control, Control B, has defualt value, say 100, however
the user can change its value when the application is operated
3. The user first select Control A value then he set Control B value,
for example for Control A's value X he sets Control B's value to 150,
for Control's A value Y he assigns Control's B value to 250 and for
Control's A value Z he assigns 450
The problem starts when i switch between Control A's values (states),
the values of Control B were not kept

I am not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do
If you want Control B to be automatically set to a value that depending on Control A's state, you can use a local variable and a LUT (look up table) in wich you asign a Control B's value for each Control A's state.
Or it's even easier with a combo box since you can use it as a LUT by disabling "Values match labels"

Prompt Constrain between two facts
Hello All,
I have two facts at different granular levels.
My prompt uses some conformed dimensions and some non conformed.
also in my prompt I have
my measure columns as edit boxes as the user want to give filters like >=100 etc.
Now I want to constrain my prompts.
I have a promt from a conformed dimension, I want it to show all the values i.e,
dimension values for fact 1
and dimension values for fact 2.
so basically somethin like
union of all the values.
But it also needs to constrain to other prompts
Is there a way I can acheive this?

Fading between two pages & controlling one MC from another.
Let me see if I can explain this properly. I usually use a motion tween and the alpha channel to fade movie clips in or out. What I am currently trying to do is fade one page out and another in, but it could be one of several MCs. I basically have four "pages" for a website including services, portfolio, about, and contact. I have icons on my navigation bar (which is going to be imported into my XHTML seperately so it can float them according to the users window size). The icons need to navigate between the pages and the pages need to fade in and out (eg. fade in the Services MC when the user clicks on the services icon, and fade out of it and into the Portfolio MC when the user clicks on the portfolio icon). Please keep in mind that the icons and pages are in completely different .fla/.swf files because I couldn't figure out how to float them in Flash after several hours of looking around online, but know I can easily do it using div tags + CSS in XHTML.
If someone could quickly explain how to "gotoandplay" a label in a different .swf file (communicate between the .swf NavBar and my main .swf) as well as fade out of the current MC (whichever page the user is currently on) before fading into new page (according to the icon the user clicks on), I'm sure I could 'fill in the blanks' from the rest of the AS3 and Flash I already know. The page also needs to fade out of whatever page it's currently on when the user clicks on the hide button (located on the page in the main .swf file). There is also several subpages on each page (which shouldn't be a big deal if I can figure the rest of this out).
I'm going to be using this same concept for nearly all of the websites I design & develop in the future and really need to know how to do this for the current site I'm working on. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to accomplish these two things.
P.S. Please keep in mind I'm not an advanced user in AS3, but am very computer savy, and have done my share of programming in the past. I looked around for hours online to try and complete this without using the forum, but have come up with links to dead tutorials and short answers left and right. I'm hoping I won't come across the same here.
From what I've read so far I believe I can use tweening in ActionScript instead of a motion tween on the timeline to fade in and out of clips and believe that's the method to use to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Correct me if I'm wrong though.I'm not looking for a "tutorial created especially for me".... Just perhaps someone that can copy and paste some code from a similar project that they have done so I understand how to do it.
You could have simply put here's a tutorial for how to use TweenLite to crossfade between four pages, and here's one that will let you pass information between two .swf files. If you recently watched the tutorials then it wouldn't take long to find them (maybe you have them bookmarked) and post a couple links.
Anyways, I just found an excellent tutorial on how to crossfade using TweenLite (found here) and an article that explains how to pass information from one .swf to another (here). It took some searching and knowing exactly what I was looking for to find them, but that's a much better answer for someone looking to do those two things than I've found here (or elsewhere for that matter). -
How to Control number of minorticks between two ticks of axis ?

In the example above, I have the interval at 10 and when I set the minorInterval to 2, then I get 5 ticks. The first tick is at the interval and then followed by 4 more ticks.
In your example, in order for me to see 2 ticks between the intervals, then I would have to set the minorInterval to 3.5 .
10 / 3.5 = 3 (2 ticks)
The forumla would have to be something like:
ViewableTicks = Interval / (Selected Ticks + 1);
So, if I created a droplist, with 1 - 9 ticks (because 0 doesn't work if you are showing minor ticks), then when the option is changed, I would calculate the value for the minor ticks and set the LinearAxis component (countAxis) to that new value.

Site to Site VPN Between Two ASA 5505's Up But Not Passing Traffic

i am setting up a site to site vpn between two asa 5505's. the tunnel is up but i cannot get it to pass traffic and i have run out of ideas at this point. i am on site as i am posting this question and only have about 4 hours left to figure this out, so any help asap is greatly appreciated. i'll post the configs below along with the output of sh crypto isakmp sa and sh ipsec sa.

Your tunnel is up and encrypting traffic one way, the other end is not able to encrypt the traffic.
I would suggest to do a 'clear xlate'? Sometimes if you setup the nonat configuration after you've attempted other configurations, you need to 'clear xlate' before the previous NAT configuration is cleared and the new one works.

I am doing the scenario of stock transfer between two plants of different company codes.
I have some issues in Billing for this..
What are the settings do i need to to for Pricing in SD point of view.

Supplying / Receiving

I created Customer 5555 w.r.t sales area of supplying company code (2000/10/00)

With RegardsDo the following steps for STO Customizing:-
1. Create a customer master record for the issuing plant.
2. Create a vendor master record for the issuing plant, and enter customer account number in the Customer field on the Control screen.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the receiving plant.
4. Assign the plants to the customer master record in Customizing for Materials Management (MM), by choosing Purchasing <Purchase Order < Set Up Stock Transport Order< Plants.
The Process Flow would be as follows :-
Create a stock transport order, following the standard procedure, and send the order to the issuing plant.
Issuing plant has processes your order, and when it is ready to ship,the storeperson at the issuing plant issues the goods using a transfer posting. The excise clerk there creates an excise invoice.The excise supervisor verifies and posts the excise invoice.It then sends the goods to you, together with the excise invoice.
Once the goods arrive, you follow the standard procedure for incoming excise invoices:
The excise clerk captures the excise invoice, using the stock transport order as the reference document. The storeperson enters the goods receipt, again using the stock transport order as the reference document.Alternatively, you can first enter the goods receipt and then capture the excise invoice.
The excise supervisor then posts the excise invoice.

Distinguishing between two instances of the same portlet
Hi Experts,
Is there a way to distinguish between two instance of the same portlet in different browser windows?
I'm looking for something like URL parameter passing, but just for portlets.
The problem is, I want a way to pass a parameter between views in a portlet, but in such a way that if another browser window is opened and navigated to that portlet page, the parameter won't be the same. Perhaps I can explain better with this example:
Page A has a portlet on it which has a textbox and 2 buttons - the first button stores the value in the textbox in the PortletRequest (or PortletURL) and if you click the second button the portlet navigates to a different view which displays the value. If I navigate with a second browser window to Page A, however, and only click the navigate button, that value which was stored by the first instance of the portlet will still be shown. I want them to be independent, I don't want changes in the one's PortletRequest to reflect in the other one's PortletRequest.
Any ideas?

JPWhy not use two instances of the same portlet, i.e. create two channels of the same portlet.
The behave the same, have the same application logic, so all you need is to transfer informations between the two portlets.If you want this within user space use the portlet session, otherwise access the http session context /application context and store the data there.
The behavior would be controlled by the portlet preferences, so channel a (instance 1) would be configured to run as controller and channel b (instance 2) would be configured as receiver. -

The name of this technology - WDS.
HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP connect to one of this routers (copper).
Second device (my NETBOOK) connect to second router (WiFi).
I have good communication between NETBOOK and HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP via WiFI-bridge.
In usual case NETBOOK can find (and can Ping) network printer and make a print some files.
But my Ipad or Iphone can't find HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP (using Eprint). Ipad and iphone connect
to router across WiFi.

Swap between two different item categories in sales orders for sub-contracting
Dear gurus,
my requirement is to have the ability to swap between two different item categories for sales orders for sub-contracting.
This should be controlled by a combination of the material and a value maintained the Usage field in the Customer Material Info Record (for example by entering a ‘V’). A combination of Sales Doc Type, Item Cat Group and Usage should result in the creation of a purchase requisition.
In the event that a process order is required instead of a purchase requisition (i.e. the product is to be manufactured in-house instead of sub-contracted) the user must have the ability to change the Item Category within the sales order to produce a process order.
The user would just change the item category within the sales order, and the system would automatically remove the purchase requisition assigned to the SO, and create a process order and assign it to the SO.
Can you suggest any possible solution?

In my system, I checked. First created sales order with third party line item and then changed item category to normal item category.
Till Purchase order not created, I can change Item category of my sales order line item.
In this case SAP inform by log and once save delete purchase requisition of that line item .
For this you need to assign another item category as an manual item category in SPRO Item category assignment.
After this user can manually change item category to other one manually, if PO do not exist.

Inserting a clip between two clips
I'm trying to insert a clip between two clips yet still having everything from all V/A 1,2,3,4,etc. layers to move along with whatever clip is moved down the line. Everyone keep saying: Use the ctrl key! but all that does is indeed move some of it down but it cuts bits of the video in the process. I'm not sure how to solve this. I simply want to drag and drop an item between two clips and not cut or mess up any additional V layers.
You can load a title into the Source Monitor by dragging it there from the Project Panel. But you can also use the insert command directly from the Project panel, via either the context menu or the same shortcut.
Be aware that if the sequence has In/Out points set, then the Insert & Overwrite commands will insert the selected source into that range. This is known as 3-point or 4-point editing (depending on whether you have both in & out points set in both the source and the sequence). If In/Out points are not set in the sequence, then the source is inserted at the playhead's position in the Timeline.
Also, source patching controls which tracks the clip is placed on. If you're not familiar with source patching, this tutorial video is worth watching. -

I would like to implement Drag and Drop between two windows for example in Windows I can take URL Address form browser and drag it and drop it in to any control that excepts String like TextField.
I would like to have the same behavior with my Java Text Controls.

Can you try it in a different user account. If it works in a different account, then it is likely something in your current user account that is messed up. If it doesn't work in another user account, then it is likely something with Mail, itself.
You could try downloading and installing the 10.6.7 combo update. That may repair what is wrong. -

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to send MIDI between two computers using a direct USB to USB connection (no MIDI interface). I have not seen this done before, I don't think, but I don't know why it shouldn't be possible.

I don't think there's something for midi over USB; however, there is an experimental tool for midi over Ethernet. It's called iMidi, and it's written foor PPC, and there's no native Intel version. I tried it with my PPC eMac and Intel iMac, but it took a lot of processing power
