Consuming CRM Web Services via 3rd Party system

Hi Gurus
I've created an RFC Function Module which I converted to a Web Service
I've used soapUI to test the Web Service and it's working perfectly.
The 3rd Party wanting to use the Web Service is new to this technology and I'm not much better from a consuming point of view.
What URL does the 3rd party need to call:
WSD
WDSL
The Endpoint
Or am I completely off.
Many Thanks in advance
Panduranga

Hi,
Your question does not make sense.
If you have tested your web service successfully with SOAPUI, you do know the answer.
The 3rd party needs to use the URL that you used for your SOAPUI test.

Olivier

  • Consuming ABAP Web Service in Non SAP system

    Hi
I have created an ABAP web service form the RFC and configured it in the SOAMANAGER. I have tested it in Web Service Navigator using the URL and it is working fine.
Now I am trying to access it from the Non SAP system using Java Code. I am able to access the WSDL using the URL from the step 1 but not able to receive any output when providing inputs.
So I am not sure if I am missing any configuration on the Provider System (SAP) or on the Consumer system (Non SAP) to access the web service. As far I have not configured anything on the consumer system. Please let me know how to consume the web service in the Non SAP system.
    Thank you,
    Rohit

not necessarily an answer to your question, but i find that when creating SAP web services, before we create the code for consuming them, I always test them with the SOAPUI package. with this test suite you can import the WSDL, and run individual tests, seeing the input, output, exceptions, etc. This is a good way to check the connection, the flow and the service logic, before writing any code. This will also let you know whether it is a WS issue, or an issue with your code.
just a thought, from someone who has been there...
http://www.soapui.org is where you can find the SOAPUI. It helped me out a lot.

  • Consuming a Web Service via SSL with Basic Authentication

    Hello,
I have a simple web service (returns a parameter value) and want to consume it. Therefore I have generated a proxy for its in Netweaver Studio SP13.
When I set up the web service to be accessed via HTTP and Basic Authentication (Username/Password), everything is fine. When I set up the web service to communicate via HTTPS, I get the following error message in my client:

    Hi Martin,
that is exactly, what I did.
    - Change Web Service Configuration in IDE
    - Build and Deploy the Service to my local Server
    - Check Service in Visual Administrator
    - Deleted and Regenerated the Standalone Proxy
    - Deleted and Recreated the link between CLient and Proxy Project in IDE
    - Started Client
Here comes the section of the ws-deployment-descriptor.xml of the service. For me, it matches, what the proxy generated.

  • Consuming stateful web service via ABAP proxy

    Hi all,
I´ve got the following scenario. I´ve a ABAP proxy generated based on a WSDL file. The provider is a WebService provided by a tomcat server. (no PI etc. as middleware). The problem i´ve now is that the webservice is stateful so I need a stateful communication between my ABAP report (client) and the Web Service.
I´ve already found the possibiliy to switch on the feature "Session-Oriented Communication" on "Preconfiguration Tab" of the ABAP Proxy Screen. But unfortunately it´s not working.
Anybody knows whether general system settings has to be changed for this. Or anybody has other tips.
I´m currentliy working on the SAP Discovery System v3 which is a Netweaver 7.0.
Many thanks in advance for your answers,

  • Wrong data when consuming web service via ABAP

    Dear all,
we tried to consume a web service via ABAP and used one of the various existing how-to papers from the internet in order to develop everything.
The development was not that difficult, but when we now execute our ABAP, we noticed that
    - the first 100 returned rows from the webservice are completely correct
    - then we receive 10-15 completely incorrect rows (empty fields, redundant lines, etc.)
    - the rest of the data (60 records) is correct again
As we nearly all objects have been generated automatically via SE80, I do not really know where this problem might come from. We double checked the original data and there everything is correct.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your feedback,
    Andreas

  • How to consume a web service provided by third party system from SAP system

    Hi Friends,
Could any of you provide me a clear picture on how to consume a web service from SAP system and is provided by a third party system?
Do we get an URL to create a client proxy for consuming the web service?
    Thanx in advance,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
    <soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
which is the actual adress of the service.
An example service can be found here:
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/xml/">National Digital Forecast Database</a>
    containing the WSDL URL at
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/DWMLgen/wsdl/ndfdXML.wsdl">this address</a>.
You might also want to browse for the amazon webservices which allow you to embed queries against amazon into your application.
    have fun,
    anton

  • Processing Invoices for Service Entries Via a 3rd Party System

    Hi all
We are using a 3rd party business collab site to allow vendors to accept purchase orders, process their own service entries and upon reciept of a service entry reponse, they will be able to invoice via this 3rd party website.
The problem the technical team (XI/PI) team is having is that the when the invoice comes in, using stand idocs and function modules, SAP processes the Invoice using MIR6.  The problem we get here it that it sees the Service entry as a GRV and the level of the information is no longer at a lower level and come up to a PO line item level.  Is this cause I am using GRV base invoice verification.  But based on this, if a service entry has multiple services, it only processes the last one, and looks at the others as duplicates as they all reference the same PO and Line Item.
Have any of you come across such a senario and what did you do?
What would be the impact if I did not do goods reciept based invoice verification.  Could that cause additional problems elsewhere in the system?
    PLEASE HELP
    Thanks
    Vinesh

    Hi Chandra
Its always preferred to use Business service for communication with systems outside the landscape. As it does not refer to any SLD components and safe to use on internet etc.
What is the use of using a 3rd Business system instead of using business service in my current situation?
If you want to use 3rd party system you need to define party based communication and it acts as a party in production environment. You can also create a Standalone sytem in SLD for your use. Standalone technical system mostly refers to standalone Java applications in landscape.
n both the cases, i can use a file sender CC and pickup the file from a folder using FTP protocol.
What is the criteria based on which i need to take this decision?
If your communication is party based and the 3rd party you refer is a party for ERP then it make sense to use a third party communication and use party name as well.By this i mean business wise. Else its always good to use Business service.
And finally, how are the system name & host name details, which we given during 3rd party technical system definition in SLD useful?
To use this third party system you need to register products on TS else you will not be able to see any Interface etc while configuring in ID. you need to add all details to it in SLD.
    Thanks
    Gaurav

  • Consuming web services provided 3rd

    Hello experts,
I have a scenario SAP -> XI -> 3rd party WS (with multiple actions)
The 3rd party WS contains several actions for manipulating a Business Object.
I would like to define one Inbound Service Interface with several Operations for consuming the web service with its actions.
Everything is okay at design time. I defined all necessary objects based on the WSDL that represents the WS.
The problem is at configuration time:
    1. I can define only one Receiver Agreement for the given Service Interface & Business System (There is no indication or seperation for the different operations defined in the Service Interface).
    2. In the Receiver Agreement I can choose only one SOAP Receiver Communication Channel.
    3. In the SOAP Receiver Communication Channel I can define only one Action for the provider WS.
According to SAP paradigm (backed up by the SAP ProComp Model in the modeling tool available in PI 7.1) one can define an Inbound service interface with several operations. it seems that the configuration does not support this kind defenition for SOAP adapter.
If anyone encountered this problem and have a solution, I will appreciate sharing the information.
    Regard.

    Hi Effi,
Another approach is tho dynamically assign the SOAP Action and then retrieve it in the Communication channel
Use this peice of codeto assign SOAP Action value to
    DynamicConfigurationKey keyURL = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/SOAP","THeaderSOAPACTION");
    // access dynamic configuration
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
    .getTransformationParameters()
    .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    conf.put(keyURL,"<your action>");
    return "";
Then switch on the *adapter specific identifiers (and select use variable binding) *in SOAP Channel and specify as specified in this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/EN/29/5bd93f130f9215e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Also check the Keep Header checkbox
I dont have a XI box here to give a try, so please give a try and I am sure you will get the result.

  • Invoking Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL

I'm trying to invoke a Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL. Basically, the Siebel guide says to post to a url with user/pwd to get a session ID returned from a cookie. I did that using embedded java and have the session ID as a variable in my BPEL process. My problem is with now calling the Web Service to perform the action. I have a WSDL from Siebel, but the guide says to use an HTTP post with the session ID in the url and the XML in the body. How do I do that? Shouldn't the WSDL handle that when I create the Partner Link? Do I need to use more embedded Java for this or can I set up a Partner Link? I created a Partner Link and it shows the methods I want to use, but I get the following error when I try to call it because I don't know where to add the session ID:
    <ErrorCode xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">SBL-ODU-01006</ErrorCode>
<ErrorMessage xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">Internal Error: Session is not available. Aborting.</ErrorMessage>
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Please let me know if you need more information.
    THANKS!

The Siebel OnDemand web services can accept the siebel session token in the URL. Append ';jessionid={%sessionIdFromCookie%}' to the end point. Obviously this has to be done dynamically. Refer to the article called 'Making BPEL Processes Dynamic' (http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html) pay particular attention to the 'Eliminating address dependency at run time' section.

  • Publish ABAP utility implemented on PI system as Web service via PI itself.

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement where we might need to publish a feature related to user management from ABAP stack of PI as a web service via PI itself.
    So scenario might look like
SOAP Client -> PI -> PI (ABAP functionality)
I have seen some blogs on SDN which suggest publishing FM directly using menu options in SE37 (Utilities (M) u2192 More Utilities u2192 Create Web Service u2192 From the Function Module). But then this interface will not be under PI and will be exception to general architecture of having all web services published via PI.
May be its a very simple scenario and I am thinking of solution in complex ways. Any quick inputs from experts on what would be the best way to implement this , will be a great help for me to start quickly.
Can we implement a normal SOAP to Proxy(ABAP) scenario for PI as we do while exposing services on ECC or any other ABAP system as a SOAP service?
Or is there any smart way of handling this scenario?
    Kind Regards,
    Abhijeet.

Thanks Raja & Greg for quick suggestions & your valuable time.
    Appropriate points rewarded.
Greg, thanks for suggesting names of standard BAPI, it will save us from reinventing the wheel by using custom codes.
I will work out on SOAP to RFC scenario & close the thread when scenario works.
Just to Share: Yesterday, just out of curiosity I tried to use proxy scenario where PI system itself was Receiver in our sandbox, the message goes in a kind of infinite loop and keeps processing the message again and again till it turns out to error.
I  tried it using the existing Business system for PI where it is configured as Integration Server & I have also tried to create a new business system for a different client on PI system with role as "Application System", but still the result was same.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhijeet.

  • Web service via integration engine - integration directory tasks

    Hello,
I am new to PI and need help concerning the configuration of web service communication. A new enterprise service shall be exposed to the web. So, service provider is an ABAP AS, consumer is a unknown 3rd party system. Communication should be via the integration server. I have created the data types, message types, interface (query/response) in the enterprise service repository, and the proxy and proxy class in the backend. The corresponding client is already defined as a business system in the integration directory. There are also communication channels of type xi assigned to that business system. I am not sure about the next steps. My assumption:
    1) create the 3rd party system as a business component
    2) add the new interface to the receiver/sender (where?) tabs of the business component
    3) create a communication channel of type SOA and assign it to the new business component  (to receiver or sender?)
    4) ...enough for now
Probably I forgot something important, but I am not sure... I appreciate any help.

Here my own "answer" after trying several things.
The reason for the errors above are the namespaces. My incoming message contains some external namespaces which disturb the Integration Engine SOAP processing, but not the J2EE SOAP Adapter.
So I skipped the IE SOAP way, receive the SOAP data via plain HTTP adapter, and remove the SOAP header data in an XSL-Mapping. This gave also some trouble with the namespaces, but after some adaptions finally works fine now.

  • No result while creating a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard

    Hi,
I've tried to create a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard in SE80 by using URL/HTTP Destination but nothing happens. After the popup with logondata for the WSDL I get the CRM start screen and nothing has been created in the given package.
    technical details:
    I use a CRM 5.0 system with SP15 (SAPKB70015).
I created the provider service at a 7.10 system with SP5 (SAPKB71005) via SPROXY, SOAMANAGER and WSPUBLISH and get the WSDL-URL from Service Registry.
The Service Registry of the 7.10 system serves as central Service Registry.
    Has anybody an idea ?
    Christoph

    Guy,
    Thanks for your reply.
This problem has been solved. Since I haven't turned on everything that to use transaction SOAMANAGER needs. After complete the switch-on works, the problem never happens again.
    Thanks again.

  • Is it possible to extract vacacy created in Global HR or provide a link to 3rd party system on vacancy card?

    Hi,
We have a client requirement either to extract vacacy created in Global HR or provide a link on vacancy card to 3rd party system ?
    Regards,
    Manoj

Generally integration would be done using web services, the available web services are documented in OER. I am not familiar enough with HCM functionality to comment on the specific feature, I will ask a colleague to comment.
