ConText Viewer

Hy!
I'm trying to get the ctxv32.ocx control for VB6 from the ConText Cartridge. It does not appear to be in the installation options of Oracle 8i enterprise edition. Is there another way to install it. It would be greatly appreaciated if any one could submit his knowledge on this isue.

SAP Business Context Viewer & Side panel

Hello,
Did anyone implemented Business Context Viewer as a part of their SAP Landscape or planning to do so.
BCV-Side Panel looks to be a very good option for Dynamic reporting. Currently I have ECC 6.0 Ehp6 SAP Environment. Do I need to buy any extra license for this.
From my side I have activated the Business Functions Listed in the SAP Help. Though Side Panel appears on the screen but no data is getting reflected there. What extra settings need to be done to get the values reflect in Side Panel.
Please advise me the best approach in making this happen.

Mapping one node in a view context to many nodes in the component controlle

Hi guys,
I need to map an element (attribute) of a node in the View Context to an attribute of multi nodes of the same type:
Context View:
customer_no
      |
      | -> KUNNR
Component Controller Context having two nodes:
- Node1
     RFC1
        |
        |->KUNNR
- Node2
      RFC2
         |
         |->KUNNR
Above I need to map the (KUNNR) in customer_no node to KUNNR in the RFC1 RFC2 before i execute the two RFCs services.
Note:
if this is not possible would you mention another solution.

Hi,
   As per MVC you cannot map context from view controller to component controller.Mapping can happen from component
controller to view controller.
You cannot create mapping for context attributes. You can map nodes if both source node and destination node both has same structure and same number of attributes. If they dont contain same number of attributes the extra attributes from the source node gets copied to the destination node.
In your case before the RFC execution you can read the value of attribute Kunnr from view and set it the RFC attribute Kunnr before the Function module execution.

APEX Listener Administration not really context-sensitive

Hello APEX Listener Development Team,
in {thread:id=2297381} a problem regarding the APEX Listener Administration has been discovered:
Once logged in, e.g. into the view to be accessed by +/apex/listenerStatus+ with correct credentials, it doesn't matter which other view I call (tried both listenerAdmin and listenerConfigure ), I'll always get back to the view for listenerStatus . This even happens when I explicitly hit the "Close" button of the listenerStatus . I'd expect the following behaviour:
1. When calling a different context (view), there should be a different Authentication Realm so the credentials supplied in the other context don't get resubmitted by the browser.
2. When using the "Close" button, the Authentication should be reset. I know this might be difficult regarding different treatment of Basic Authentication in different browsers, but perhaps it would be possible to add a kind of session state into the authentication realm, so the browser would re-run the dialog for a different session.
If further information is needed, I'll be glad to provide any help I can. If I have a wrong sight on this, please correct me.

Yes it will use localhost based on what machine you are using. So, you can either put in the real machine name or IP or just ignore the validation.

No you don't have instantiate any of the objects. Think of Web Dynpro as a modeling layer implemented in ABAP Objects, but sitting on top of the Object Oriented constructs. You still have some of the benfiits of OO - like event registration, inheritance, methods, etc - but a lot of the OO setup is done and maintained by the framework for you. So although each section of Web Dynpro - the component, the controllers, contexts, views, etc - are all technically ABAP Object instances, you don't have to manage the objects directly.

Table with tree view on master column

Hi,
I'm trying to generate a table with tree view on the master column and I get the table values from an RFC.
The problem is that I need to control some properties like "expanded" or "isLeaf" and I can't add the value attributes to the model node to control the rows.
Any ideia on how to overcome this (what i think is a) problem?

Maybe I didn't explain myself right. I also followed that tutorial with success but in this case i have on my custom controller:
-MyNode (model node)
- Output
- MyTable
- attribute 1 (model attribute)
In my context/view controller the only way i can map that node is by using a model node referecing "MyTable" but this way i can't add any of my attributes to same level of the attributes (is that the ideia right?).
I also tried to recreate the structure in the view with value nodes and value attributes with the same type as the model attributes and then bind them but i always get "Incompatible context element type".
Am i missing something?

BRF+: No context assigned to DB Lookup

I am trying to create a BRF+ routing rule but I am facing since hour a problem.
I am refering to http://scn.sap.com/thread/3324445
When trying to create rules I got the message:
No context assigned to DB Lookup 'Z_GET_ROLEID' yet. Query result includes all data objects !
When I click on ROLE_NAME is got following picture and got a warning.
From SDN blog is see that I should look like this:
So what did I wrong, where is the missing link?

Hi, problem solved.
create lookup. context overview is empty.
Now add lookup into decision table so the link to context view is done.
Now the context overview is available. Click on close.
Select your element and it works!

R12 - Discoverer - MOAC access for folders based on views

Hi
After upgrade to R12 , workbooks which were based on org-context views are not returning any data.
When the same query is run from SQL session after settting fnd_global.apps_initialize and mo_global.init, the query returns rows.
We are using discoverer desktop edition 10g. Is this an issue in the way applications context gets set when selecting the responsibility from discoverer?

i followed this note, but it mentions that the correct solution is to implement the ebusiness R12 MOAC as per documentation
if it was an MOAC setup issue, then the same discoverer workbook query should not fetch rows even if it was run from SQL*Plus
I set the apps session using FND_GLOBAL.apps_initialize and MO_GLOBAL.init and ran the query from backend. This works and returns rows.
But the same responsibility and query when accessed from discoverer returns no rows

Implementation of SRM MDM Catalogue 2.0 SP04 (5.5.64.82) .Need inputs on SRM MDM Catalogue>shooping cart view >ITEM DETAIL screen
Following two tabs "Add to Shopping Cart" or "Add to Shopping List" are not working under "Item View" screen when user trying to add items by using these two tabs. Some "java.lang.NullPointerException" error is populating when user clicks on any of these two tabs. Detailed screen shot attached for your understanding
Also, "Quantity" tab is disabled and seen as non editable field - (which is greyed out) - we can not place any value into it.
But the "Add to Shopping Cart" or "Add to Shopping List" tabs are working fine under other screens views like "context view" & "List view" .
Seems like it is a product Bug
Need your valuable inputs at earliest as our go-live date is approaching very near

Hello Karin,
I believe you are referring to Customize Display tab under SRM - MDM UI configuration where standard available are Item Lists, Thumnail view, Context view etc. I do not think SAP provided any options to change the name or add new customize display.

Not able to see data in af:table unless refresh is clicked

We have a table which already has rows. But,when we are navigating to that table jsff page,no data is shown in the table.Only we click on add '+' icon or refreshing the page,I am able to see the data. Am i missing something in jsff definition? Here is the code for jsff page.It is a customiser generated page which comes on runtime.

1) In oracle you really, really, REALLY don't want mixed case object (column, table, etc) names. Lose the double quotes.
2) don't use reserved words (like 'date') as object names.

3) there's no good reason to use CHAR instead of VARCHAR2
4) If you want a date (indicated by your badly named column 'date', make the datatype DATE, not number
5) you need to look at how your NUMBER columns are defined and ask yourself if that's what you really want. NUMBER(1,1) means one digit, with one digit in the decimal location. NUMBER(10,1) means a total of 10 digits, with one of them in the decimal location

Pictures not appearing in after upgrade to SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP7 Patch4

Hello,
Due to some issues in Advanced search we performed the service pack upgrade from SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP5 (with MDM 7.1.03.72) to SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP7 Patch4 ( MDM 7.1.04.146). With this new SP, the Pictures are not appearing anymore under the Hyperlink section anwhere in Catalog browser( Compare, Context view, Item details). With earlier SP pictures were appearing perfectly.
We have done like this:( refer earlier thread - Re: SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 Image display) thanks Sudhanshu, Jitesh and Mandeep for suggesting that solution!
Using the hyperlink field
type : rendered
MIME type : image type i.e. .jpg
URL : web URL
We had gone for this option because we dont want to store impages in MDM, and this worked perfoectly until new SP upgrade.
Any clues?

Hi Bala,
Nothing appears under the Hyperlink section in Catalog browser, though a valid link exists in Data Manager under Hyperlink as type-Rendered, MIME type as JPG and a valid URL.
I have searched Service Market place for this fix of this issue and found that SAP has improved the technology ( from Object Cache to Blob Cache) to display pictures/hyperlinks from SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP06 and MDM 7.1SP04 onwards. We were on SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP05 and MDM 7.1 SP03 before Dev upgrade.
Here are the notes for reference of others who get into same issue.
Note 1450593 - Implementation of BlobCache
This note states "MDM7.1 SP04 offers new image caching functionality called Blob Cache. The old functionality of Object Cache is replaced with the Blocb Cache mechanism in Catalog 3.0 SP06 P1"
Note 1505796 - Images not showing in SRM-MDM catalog (error in BlobCache)
This note talks about the issue in MDM API with Blob Cache. The Fix has been provided in SRM-MDM Catalog SP08 Patch 01.
But upgrade is not something that happens on the drop of a hat, we dont want to do another upgrade, I would like to know if there is a workaround.
