Control center user role - hide worksets

Dear gurus,
The control center user role is assigned to all the users by default. Could somebody please tell me how to hide selected worksets in the role.
I have an option to delete items that are not configured in that role, I am trying to find out a means of hiding some of the worksets and pages, so that I donot have to delete or modify SAP delivered role and be able to make those items visible when required at a later stage.
any help is appreciated.

There are two roles involved. One is the SAP template, and should not be changed as it can be overwritten by patches etc. The other way can be editted the same as any role. It is the one with the id pcd:portal_content/every_user/cc_user/ccur.
In here you can remove worksets, change the sequence etc or hide its visibility in the navigation area etc.

  • Default Every User Roles missing

    Hi,
We installed the latest version on EP 6.0. After installation, when we looked into the available default roles in the portal, the dafault Every User Roles - " Role: Every User Core (eu_core_role)" and "Role: Control Center User (cc_user)" are missing in the list. Only the "Role: Standard User (eu_role)" is available. Could you please let us now what could be the problem?
    Thanks.
    Bhagya.

    hi,
i could find eu_role and cc_user roles, no eu_core_role is found in my portal content folder. anyhow i assigned eu_role to the user, and when he logs in he could only see the home workset, "portal personalization " is not visible.
i checked the hierarchy of the role in the role editor, but it shows "portal personlization" workset in the hierarchy
could some one lemme know y is it like that..should i enable "portal personalization" workset by my own.
    version : ep6.0 sp12
    thankyou

  • ATG control center

    Hi Folks,
I have a concern here below, if you have any idea, could you please throw here.
what is the module for ATG control center and how the components get executes.
    for example:
If we click on the 'People and Organizations' under 'Control center Users '.
    How the component execution flow.
    Thanks

I think that 'People and Organizations' ->'Control center Users ' get its data through /atg/dynamo/security/AdminAccountManager component using /atg/dynamo/security/AdminSqlRepository. AdminSqlRepository contains the ATG system admin accounts. All of these accounts are initialized automatically during Nucleus startup if they don't already exist through /atg/dynamo/security/AdminAccountInitializer component. AdminAccountInitializer is by default configured to use /atg/dynamo/security/SimpleXmlUserAuthority. SimpleXmlUserAuthority specifies the admin-accounts.xml file to load the account information. While the /atg/dynamo/security/AdminSqlRepository is in DPS module the other component configurations can be found under DAS\config.jar

  • How to hide custom fields in Shopping cart depening on user role

    Hi,
We have some custom fields in shopping cart for basic view. Every thing works fine. Now client is asking to hide all the custom fields based on user role.
I found some function module to fund roles. now my main problem is unable to find the cusotm filed screen field name.
When I tryed to find the screen field name using BBPSC02/03, its giving 'GT_DISPLAY_100-FIELD'. If I try to use this field, its not working.
Could you pls tell me how to find custom screen filed name to hide in shopping cart.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
As Laurent suggested,to hide the custom fields based on the user role, you need to implement the logic in BADi "BBP_CUF_BADI_2".
You have the importing parameter IV_USER in this BADI.
Pass this parameter to tables AGR_USERS and AGR_USERT  to get the user role
    OR
    Use FM: BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL
with USERNAME= user id and can retrieve Table: ACTIVITYGROUPS Field:AGR_NAME
if you want the otherway around
you can also use FM: RSRA_USERS_OF_AGR_GET
with I_AGR_NAME= role and you can retieve Table: ACTIVITY_GROUPS_USERS Field: UNAME(usr Id)
Then check the value for the User role as obtained using the above steps and accordingly set the property for the custom fields to hide them.
    BR,
    Deepti.

  • [SOLVED] Gnome 3.6.1 Control Center Printers and Users "unlock"...

I have an Arch system running Gnome 3.6 with systemd, and without consolekit as is now the standard.
After upgrading from Gnome 3.4 to 3.6, the unlock buttons in both Users and Printers section of gnome-control-center no longer work. (In 3.4, the printers dialog could authenticate but it never actually worked properly - I heard they fixed this in 3.6. I never tried the Users panel back then)
Anyways, I sifted through the source code for the Printers dialog, and it points to the polkit 'org.opensuse.cupspkhelper.mechanism.all-edit' rule. Reading the rule file for cupspkhelper (which exists), it specified "allow_admin" is what this rule wants. Following further research, I added myself to the 'wheel' group which apparently should work. And after all of this? It still doesn't work. I imagine that there is a similar problem for the Users panel, but I haven't investigated in detail.
Any ideas to get this working? Is it broken upstream? Is it my fault?
    Thanks
[edit] I guess I should post some logs, bug running gnome-control-center in terminal doesn't actually output anything. -v adds nothing other than to say it is in debug mode.

    /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.opensuse.cupspkhelper.mechanism.policy

Additionally, I have a newly added suspicion that gnome just needs ConsoleKit.

I should note that this cleared up on its own after a packagekit update it seems.

  • IOS 7 Control Center - Otterbox and Griffin Armor Case Users

I have had similar problems with both my iPad and iPhone getting the control center to swipe up from the very bottom of the screen...the only solution right now is to try and wedge your finger at the very bottom of the screen and swipe up and hope that works, or take your front cover off and leave the screen exposed or put a screen film over it and use it that way.  You could cut some of the bottom plastic away to give you a spot to swipe up but that would make the case look ugly.
There is however an easy fix and it is up to Apple to do this or not:
Just as you can swipe down anywhere on the screen to do a spotlight search, release a patch that does the same for the control center...anywhere you swipe up on the home row area, the control center comes up.
Problem solved...you didn't think this one through by only make it a small strip area at the bottom of the screen and not taking into account armored cases.

    I did solve the issue....
If you have a Griffin case you can push the protective cover film away from the case and then use a dremel tool to lightly sand the plastic in the right corner to the shape of a half-circle.  Be careful not to dremel the plastic, but once you are done you can put the cover back on and now control center works perfectly as long as you use your finger in the bottom right corner.
    Easy mod and fix.

  • User Library - User Roles RoboSource 3

When using RoboHelp Server 7 and RoboSource Control 3.1,
there is a short help topic that describes the User Library - User
Roles - and each permission (what it enables or disables). This is
pretty brief information. I'm having many different issues with
getting permissions set up for each of the authors on my technical
writing team at my company. Does anyone out there have any more
information (more details) on what each permission does and
enables? I don't think I should have to assign all rights,
especially admin and subadmin to all of my users just to get
everything working the way I want it to.

Finally got an answer from Adobe customer support. Having
gone back and forth for a while with a web case and getting no
where fast, I called and talked to the customer support
representative on the telephone. A couple of things helped clarify
my issue. First of all, the difference between X5 and RH7 source
control is that the default behavior when deleting using the client
is now to "hide" topics rather than delete them from the database
permanently. You can keep users from bringing those topics back by
not giving them the unhide right. The only way to actually delete a
topic from the database permanently now is to use the RoboSource
Control Explorer, which breaks the project. Of course, I just check
out the folder fpj file, modify it myself, and check it back in to
fix that issue. But who wants to do that all the time? And not all
of us understand XML and are able to do that. OK, so that is the
first issue. One has to understand that hiding is deleting now. But
on to the second issue. Why was the topic I was deleting only being
hidden from me and not all of the other users are our team? Turns
out I should not be giving Admin and Sub-Admin rights to myself as
an authoring user. Only the "Admin" user account should have these
rights, and only for administration, only use the Admin account.
After removing these rights, I was then able to delete topics and
the topics would then not show up for any of my team. I also found
another issue resolved by taking these rights from my authoring
user account. When I had the admin and sub-admin rights, I could
not re-import topics another time. I would get a message that said
the topic already existed in the project. After removing the
rights, I could then choose to overwrite the existing topic or not.
Thus, my other post in this RoboSource Control forum about wanting
more than a one-liner on user rights is even more important. I
submitted a feature request for better documentation of user
    rights. Let's hope someone listens!

    Hi,
I have the same problem, too.
I installed DSEE7 on Solaris 10 SPARC. The installation went smoothly and there was no error occur.
I cd to the folder /opt/SUNWdsee7/bin, login as root user, and the run the command ./dsccsetup initialize.
After that I login Weblogic 10 server console as the weblogic user and installed the dscc7.war file. The installation also went smoothly and no error at all. I got the following error when I tried to open the page http://host:port/dscc7:
An unexpected error occurred while checking the status of Sun Directory Service Control Center.

  • Deploy data ware house with control center

    Hi,
I am a rookie in data ware housing and in ETL process. I have sucsessfully deployed our sequneces, tables and dymensions. As next step we would like to deploy our mappings. The deployment was finished with errors:
At the first 'bigger' mapping we received the following error message:
RPE-01012: PL/SQL-Mappings can not be provided in this target schema. The traget schema and control center has to be in the same instance.
The role OWB_USER must be granted to the target schema. Use the OWB security interface to convert the target schema to OWB-user.
At the second 'simplier' mepping we got the following warning message:
ORA-06550: PACKAGE BODY, line 0, column 0: PL/SQL: Compilation unit analysis terminated
    ORA-06550: PACKAGE BODY, line 1, column 15:
PLS-00304: Body of 'PRODUCT_MAP' is without specification complied.
    ORA-06550: PACKAGE BODY, line 1, column 15:
    PLS-00905: Object DWH.PRODUCT_MAP is invalid.
    ORA-06550: PACKAGE, line 171, column 1:
    PL/SQL: Declaration ignored
    ORA-06550: PACKAGE, line 171, column 24:
PLS-00201: Bezeichner 'OWBSYS.WB_RT_MAPAUDIT' must be declared.
    Anyone solved something similar?
    Thank you!
    Regards, Robert

The issue is not relevant any more.

  • Control/restrict user access

    Hi,
we are currently on EP7.0,would like to find out if we are able
to control/restrict number of users from accessing an ESS transactional
    page. Thanks.

    Hi Eric,
access to portal content is managed with help of portal roles. Basically, you assign portal content (worksets, portal pages, iViews) to a portal role (see SAP Library  <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/4f/bceaffeb8c114ebef8255b63079c7c/frameset.htm">Roles and Worksets</a>). To make the content available to a certain set of users you have to assign the portal role to the users (see SAP Library <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ed/845890b89711d5993900508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">Assigning Roles to Users and Groups.</a>).
If you would like to restrict access to a certain ESS portal page remove this page from the standard ESS role and create a new role. Assign the ESS portal page to this new role and assign the role to all users you would like to give access to the page.
Make sure you set the right Merge-Ids and Sort-Ids in order to display the ESS portal page at the right point in your portal navigation structure (see SAP Library <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/53/89503ede925441e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">Merging Navigation Nodes and Defining the Sequence</a>)
    Best regards,
    Martin
