Conversion of MyXML to MS Porject XML
Hi,
I have my xml file. And i want to convert it into ms project xml file. I have all data in my xml which required in ms project xml. I am working on it. But is very complex work. Is there any way to do? Or any one did this before?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Microsoft Project XML schema is quite complex and awkward to use, particularly if your requirements are simple. You may find it helpful to look at using
MPXJ. This provides a standard API which can read and write various Project related file formats, including MSPDI (the Microsoft Project XML format).
Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
If you have further question, I recommend you post to Project Dev forum:

hi all, iam trying to convert xml file to html using xslt.
for that iam using xalan implementation 2.6. this was working fine when i checked it from the application, no iam using servet which instantiates a object of the class and calls the method...and it not working now.
it is giving this errror

...can anyone tell me what the problem is? iam setting the system property at runtime like,
java -Djavax.xml.transformer.TransformerFactory=org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl GetTestiam using the standard way of instantiating the trnaformer like
TransformerFacotry fac= transformerFactory.newinstance() etc.etc.
is it beaucse iam not specifiying the imlementation in the application???if so how can i do that.
thankyou.found the answer !!!
i was using a buggy implementation of xalan. on loading the good xalan.jar and xercesImpl.jar files it started working.
found that there was a memory leak in 2 places. not sure what that meant but some how the virtual machine wasnt getting the right values for the transformer.

Conversion of an Adobe XSTRING to XML
Hi All,
I m working on an Interactive Adobe form and I have bound the pdf_source of the Interactive Form to an attribute which is of type XSTRING. Is there a function module through which I can convert this binary form of data to an XML.
I am currently displaying the value of this attribute in a text edit control and it appears to be in hex format.
Any hints will be greatly appreciated

I am trying to convert a flat file to XML using the Sender File Adapter and I am getting the following error message.

Any help or suggestion please.
Thank you.
Warm Regards,
RanjanHi, Ranjan.
First of all, let's look at the meaning of the error.
> ...Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 2 according to
> structure 'GL_FileUpload_SAPECC_Header_DT1':java.lang.Exception:
> ERROR in configuration: more elements in file csv structure than
> field names specified!
It seems that XI interpreted 2nd line as
Header_DT1 not as Item_DT1 that you meant.
> GL,GLI,4011,3011,,,,,,AU,600,7000,8000,9000,5000,RK,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
That's why it says this line has more elements than the structure
defined(Header_DT1)
And the reason why XI misinterpreted the above as Header is that
you used keyFieldValue with the same value.
> ...Header_DT1.keyFieldValue: GL
> ...Item_DT1.keyFieldValue: GL
According to the following help,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/181077dd7d6b4ea6a8029b20bf7e55/content.htm
it says like the following.
Key Field Name
If you specified a variable number of substructures for Recordset
Structure, in other words, at least one substructure has the value
*, then the substructures must be identified by the parser from
their content. This means that a key field must be set with different
constants for the substructures. In this case, you must specify a key
field and the field name must occur in all substructures.
How about using different constants for header and item if possible?
Good luck. -

Could some one help me in resolving this issue.
Regards
PraveenHi Praven,
couldn't you simply modify your target DATA type so it will be easier to handle?
For example something like:
<Header>
</Header>
<Record>
<Material>
<Number>..</Number>
<quantity>..</quantity>
<quantity>..</quantity>
</Material>
In this way file content conversion will be easier (easy)!

XML file conversion after sender file content conversion
Hi,
I have issue refarding file content conversion.
My input structure is
<MT_RCICrecords>
<TRNH>
<RCIC>
<RECH>
<RECL>
<RCIC>
<TRNH>
Afetr sender File content conversion (csv to xml) it produces xml file as below (since file conversion does not support 3rd level of hierarchy)
<TRNH>
<RECH>
</RECH>
<RECL>
</RECL>
</TRNH>
It does not recognize RCIC.
Now i am trying to map this to IDOC and getting error as
'MT_RCICRecords tag found instead of IDOC BEGIN ='.
CAn anyone suggest me how to chaage this xml output after File content conversion to add RCIC tag in xml file?
I am new to XI so please give me some sample code to.
Thanks.
Yashpal
Its urgent!My problem is xml generated from content conversion is like below
<MT_RCICrecords>
<TRNH></TRNH>
<RECH></RECH>
<RECL></RECL>
<TRLR></TRLR>
</MT_RCICrecords>
and i want it to be
<MT_RCICrecords>
<TRNH></TRNH>
<RCIC>
<RECH></RECH>
<RECL></RECL>
</RCIC>
<TRLR></TRLR>
</MT_RCICrecords>
which is not happening
My input message structure is
MT_RCICrecords
TRNH
RCIC
RECH
RECL
i hope it is clear now

IBR: Setting up DOC to XML Conversion
Hello,
I need to enable automatic conversion of DOC,DOCX documents to XML format.
I've set up IBR enabling XML Converter component then restarted IBR server. I've configured an outgoing provider from UCM to IBR and the connection is good.
When I check-in a DOC (or DOCX) file it says "GeneratingWWW" but the web viewable format generated still remains a .doc (or .docx) document.
Am I missing something??Maybe there is some additional configuration parameter to set in UCM??
Thank you in advance forn any answer.
Best Regards.I've figured out what's missing so I've solved the problem.
I (stupidly) simply forgot to enable XML conversion on "Primary Web-Viewable Rendition" tab.
Sorry for this topic! ;)
Greets! ;) -
IsValid('xml', myXML) BUG!
isValid('xml' should return a boolean true/false, but if the
xml is bad it throws an error instead. Anyone else have this issue
or find a workaround other than using isXML which works?
<cfsavecontent variable="myXML">
<parent>
<child>A&L</child>
</parent>
</cfsavecontent>
<cfoutput>
isXML: #isXML(myXML)#<br>
isValid: #isValid('xml',myXML)#
</cfoutput>> Well, that is interesting. I'm using CFEclipse and one
of the drop-down options
> for isValid is 'xml'. It returns true if it it's valid,
just not poorly formed.
> My mistake since I assumed it was an option based on
what Eclipse was telling
> me and it did seem to work. It is wierd that it seems to
try and parse the xml.
Yep, it is weird. It might have been some functionality that
was going to
go into CF at some stage, but didn't get finished, but
equally wasn't
removed either. And I suppose the CFEclipse bods thought the
functionality
is in there. Or they could be parsing some internal CF
function list to
create their helpers, not realising that one wasn't supposed
to be exposed.
Still: it dun't work, and probably isn't supposed to, which
is the crux of
the matter.

XML Conversion (what is behind the scene)
hi friends
im new to xml, i just know that we get a structured tag text file which is called xml file. i have come to know conversion utility of fmb files to xml and vice versa by using iff2xml90 and ifxml2f90, i used both of them and done successfully.
now confusion is very basic what is real purpose of fmb to xml converted file in our online application.
my logistic system is online which i developed using developer suit 9i with 9.0.4 applicatoin server, can i get some sort of advantages or extra benifits of these converted xml files within my application ?????????thank u sir for explanation !!!
its clear to me now, we could say there is no runtime use of xml in our form applications (6i,10g)
i need little more time of urs
is there any oracle product which have runtime usage of xml ?
like Jdeveloper or even oracle database inwhich we can generate xml of our data?
if yes then HOW ?
if you could provide any link for detail study or ur comments ?
tons of thanks in advance
waiting for ur reply

System.out.println("Tansformers :"+aTransformer);
aTransformer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.INDENT, "yes");
DOMSource src = new DOMSource(resultDocument);
System.out.println("src :"+src);
Result dest = new StreamResult(new FileOutputStream(new File(filepath)));
System.out.println("desc :"+dest);
aTransformer.transform(src, dest);
but the line DOMSource src = new DOMSource(resultDocument);
is giving me an error like "undefined constrctor" . what must be the problem?

Problem when execute report Conversion Tool XI 3.0 on a client
Hi everyone,
When I use Report Conversion Tool on a client (not on Webi Server Windows 2003) I have an error (a red cross appears) before the conversion.
I believe that RCT can not open the document to migrate.
All it's OK when I use RCT since the Webi Server.
Any help will be appreciated.
ThanksHi,
Thank you for your prompt response.
I have install all the client tool (even SDK, Query Web Service) except Assitant migration source de données, Gestionnaires Vues d'entreprise et Gestionnaire de traduction.
I think I have a problem of rights on my Windows 2003 Server because in the log of conversion (C:Documents and SettingsUtilisateurLocal SettingsTempconversionUSER146731693logsD30860242.xml)
the following lines are written :
Note that I do the conversion with the Administrator login. -
Hi All,
I have to represent a datatbase value 'null' in xml.
I use a thirdparty api(propreitary, not well know and which I have no control) for conversion and null is representaed in xml as
Is this correct?
But while parsing the xml data i get illegel charcter exception for
Also browser(IE, Mozilla) also shows illegal character for
Please advise and tell me the correct representation for null in xml.
regards,
java_indiaThe nul character (unicode codepoint zero, enn u one-ell) is not legal in XML documents.
There are several means of representing a NULL value (a DB undefined value, enn u double-ell) in XML, including implicitly - the value is null if the element or attribute representing that value is not present, or explicitly using a application defined element, or the xsi:null attribute on an element has been used for this (though not strictly the same - see http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2001JanMar/0025.html ).
I'd go for an application specific attrbute for an update that is nulling an existing value, and omitting the value for query or creating a new value.
