Convert fmb and rdf  files to fmt and rpt on unix

Hi,
I have to convert the all the fmb files under the Oracle Apps code tree to fmt.
Also, I have to convert all the rdf files to rpt.
I am doing this exercise to search for a particular string in the code of all forms & reports.
Is there any utility which help to do this conversion.
I am using Oracle E-business Suite installed on Sun Solaris server.
Thanks,
DR

Thanks it helped and Just to add little bit on it
for i in `ls *.fmb`
do
f60gen module=$i userid=$unpw forms_doc=yes batch=yes
done
Might help someone too.

  • Convert FMB to XML File on Unix

    Hello,
    I want to convert a FMB-File to XML in my HP-UX-Middletier-Environment.The Script frm2xml.sh is only shipped with IDS.
    Can someone upload the frmf2xml.sh from a linux or Solaris IDS-Enviroment?
    Robert

    So if we were to keep text-based source files, the process would have to be:
    - check-out to local working copy
      - convert XML to FMB
        - make changes using Forms Developer
      - convert FMB to XML
    - commit to svn
    I'm concerned about the side-effects of the conversion process (edge-cases, incompatibilities), and I also expect that even with some automation, the above will be a pretty slow process that will slow the team down. I guess we'll probably stick with fmb.
    I guess as a compromise, it may be worthwhile generating the xml or fmt alongside the fmb and committing both. At least we'd then have a text-based file to compare revisions with. So the process then becomes:
    - check-out to local working copy
      - make changes using Forms Developer
      - generate XML from FMB
    - commit both to svn
    I'm still baffled as to why Oracle has chosen a binary source format, even 15 years ago. This basically precludes a vast number of tools and techniques that are essential to the software craft :(

  • Adobe DNG converter is corrupting NEF files. The color is way off and it's not the camera white balance.

    I was using the converter for a few months and it was working fine. Now it will convert the files, but the color is really messed. I know it is not the white balance, because the same files convert fine to TIF files through Nikon's software. I am using this converter for Nikon d610 NEF files. Here's a sample DNG and the same image in TIF. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    When you use the DNG Converter to make a DNG from an NEF, the DNG Converter applies the default Camera Raw settings.  When I open your DNG it looks fine, but when you open it, it looks off.  That is because you've some how set your Camera Raw defaults to have a bunch of customized settings specific to a particular picture, instead of having them all be normal settings.  Below you'll see what Photoshop is saying the settings of the DNG-Converted-JPG are, with the non-defaults marked in bold.  The main problems are the WB being custom and a bunch of HSL setting changes.
    Here is what Photoshop reports that the JPG was created using:

  • Put report .rdf file and .xml customization

    hi frnds,
    where can i keep .rdf file and .xml file (for customization)? shall i keep on application server? now, to generate report i've written one script ...where can i keep this?
    -bhavin

    Hi Tim,
    Context: R12 France Telecom (FT) migration from 11i
    FT Reports are complex and the quantity of data / size of files generated by reports can reach up to 20Go. So I need to convert RDF to DATA Template because RDF can not generate some so big files (limit=2Go in 11i and may be 10Go in 12)
    I experience some troubles / issues / limits with reports conversion to XML.
    1 - some Data templates are not generated because of error : [052107_102109040][][EXCEPTION] java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0. I sent you 2 mails in the past with error detail but have no answer.
    2 - Data Templates are not directly usable because Reports include call to packages stored in PLL files. Pakages definition are well include in XML file generated by Report converter (1st step of conversion) but are not take in account when PL/SQL routine generation (Data template generation).
    Can you help me especially for the 1st issue
    I'd like to show a XMLP demo to FT using the Data source generator XDODTEXE in GL. I see XDOGLDEMO and GLGENJRNDT concurrent programs but there is no Data Definition / XML Data Template associated. Can you tell me if it exists a Data Template and where it can be retrieved from.

    Hello Kathie,
    Please let me know what exactly are you trying to do using Adobe online service.
    You might try accessing the same service for some other PDFs and check.
    Have you signed up correctly at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials.

  • Convert DVD and other video files for playback on  iPhone, iPod, PSP, etc.

    So, how are your holidays going? Or, if you're reading this on the weekend, how'd they go? Watching various sorts of DVD movies and videos is a better idea for a pastime during your free time. To make your holiday be more colorful with movies, I prefer to recommend an application to help you guys deal with different kinds of video resources, no matter the DVD files or footages shot by camcorders, or videos in formats of FLV, AVI, MKV, etc., in a word, the converted videos will be supported by whatever portable devices you have, including PSP, iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPhone (3G), iPhone, Zune, Zune 2, Blackberry, Nokia, Creative Zen, Sony Walkman, iRiver PMP, Archos, PS3, Apple TV, Xbox, iPAQ, Pocket PC, Mobile Phone, etc. The software is Pavtube Video DVD Converter Ultimate, which combines DVD ripper and Video Converter together, and enables you to edit and convert any DVD, video, audio and image files to other popular formats including MP4, 3GP, FLV, MPEG-4, AVI, MPG, MOV, 3G2, VOB, FLAC, MKA, OGG, WAV, AC3, M4A with super fast conversion speed and excellent image and sound quality.
    The detailed user guide will be shown in the following part:
    Step 1: Add video and DVD file
    You are allowed to add videos to this program via clicking "Add Video", and add DVD files to it via clicking "Load DVD". DVD files can be loaded in three ways: "Load DVD ROM", "Load DVD Folder", and "Load ISO/IFO".
    Step 2: Select output format and set destination folder
    Videos and DVD files can be added to this program at the same time, after that, you can click the drop-down list of "Format" to select an output format for your portable devices. The format profile provides you with formats for iPod, iPhone, PSP, PS3, BlackBerry, etc. Meanwhile, you can click the folder icon at the end of "Output" to decide where to save the output files. Moreover, if you want to combine multiple files to be a single file, you can tick "Merge into one file".
    Step 3: Set advanced settings
    If you have the needs of adjusting video and audio parameters to make good control of the output file quality and size, you can click "Settings" button to do it, and all the options like codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, audio channel, etc. are changeable on the following window.
    Step 4: Start conversion
    As soon as the above steps are finished, you can click "Convert" button to start conversion, the following ripping window will show you clearly about all the conversion info. After finished, you are able to find out the output files via clicking "Open" button.

    We're not supposed to talk about DVD conversion according to the terms of service ...
    So I'll assume these VOB files are from your HOME MOVIE DVDs you burned yourself and suggest the Videora iPod Classic Video Converter.
    http://www.videora.com/
    It's a really nice program that converts not only your HOME MOVIE DVD VOB files, but AVI, MPEG, and others. You can set the CPU usage from high to low with five settings, it has a queue which you can add multiple files to, and it will minimize to the taskbar for compact convenience. There are other Windows programs that do much the same, but I prefer Videora. Oh ... and it's freeware!!

  • How to convert FLV and F4V files to other media formats

    How to convert FLV and F4V files to other media formats
    Nowadays, every one can download their favorite videos from video sharing websites like YouTube, Hulu, MySpace, Google Video, metacafe, Yahoo! Video, Reuters.com and so on at will. However, these video files we got are usually in the format of FLV, or F4V, which are not workable by most portable devices, or some video players and video editors on our PC. With the intention of solving these problems, this guide will show you how to convert FLV and F4V files to other video and audio formats in detail.
    1. Download, install and run Pavtube FLV Converter
    As soon as you run this program, the following wine red interface will show up:
    2. Add files, set output format and destination folder
    Input FLV and F4V files to this program by clicking on “Add” button, and select a format as the output format in the drop-down list of “Format”, meanwhile, you can press the output folder to specify the destination folder or just use the path set by default. Moreover, “merge into one file” enables you to combine multiple FLV and F4V files to be as a single file, if you have this needs, just tick it.
    3. Set advanced settings
    Click “Settings” button, the following interface will pop up. You can change the parameters like screen size, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, etc. on it to optimize the output quality or compress file size.
    4. Convert
    After all settings are done, you can press “Convert” button to start transferring, and then the following window will show you the conversion info in detail. According to the info you can manage your time and disk space properly.
    Pavtube FLV Converter can definitely complete the conversion at a swift speed with excellent quality; also it adopts an advanced audio-video sync technology, so that audio and video match very well in the resulted files. Therefore you need not worry about these issues.

  • Oracle Report6i - Report and Spreadsheet in one rdf file

    Hi ALL,
    My user wants to have an Oracle report with header, titles etc. and also a CSV file in the same Report or rdf file.
    I am thinking of using a parameter to select either the Report or the CSV file or both.
    I know I can do this in 2 different rdf files.
    Can it be done in the same rdf file? If so someone please help me on this. How can I create 2 different
    data models, 2 different layout models etc in the same rdf. That is what I am after.
    We are using Report6i which is a bummer but the Company is going .NET and does not want to spend

    Thanks,

    You may do the regular Oracle report as usual and create the CSV file in After Report Trigger using PL/SQL coding, like ....
    V_OUTFILE := text_io.fopen(L_FILENAME,'A');
    V_OUTSTRING := 'EMPLOYEE TYPE/DEPARTMENT WISE DETAILS';
    TEXT_IO.PUT_LINE(V_OUTFILE, V_OUTSTRING);
    --EXCEL FILE HEADS
    V_OUTSTRING :='EMPLOYEE NUMBER'||CHR(9)||'EMPLOYEE NAME'||' '||'DEPARTMENT NO'||' '||'SALARY'||' '||'DESG' ||' '||'EMP MOD';
    TEXT_IO.PUT_LINE(V_OUTFILE, V_OUTSTRING);
    --V_out_file := Text_IO.Fopen(L_FILENAME,'w');
    FOR C1_REC IN C1 LOOP
    V_OUTSTRING:=C1_REC.empno||CHR(9)||C1_REC.ename||' '||C1_REC.deptno||' '||C1_REC.sal||' '||C1_REC.desg||' '||C1_REC.empmod;
    TEXT_IO.PUT_LINE(V_OUTFILE, V_OUTSTRING);
    END LOOP;
    --IF Text_IO.Is_Open(V_OUTFILE) THEN
    Text_IO.Fclose(V_OUTFILE);
    SRW.MESSAGE(100,'File '||L_FILENAME|| ' Generated Successfully....');

    Dear  Olga12,
    Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
    When i suggested the solution to my client  for creating two separate templates attached to same data definition , they declined and argued that  we cant create 2 separate templates for all reports( more than 200 reports).
    Is there any way to create the PDF/EXCEL from same RDF other than creating two separate templates ?
    Thanks ,
