  • Handle the selective search criteria in LOV region based on profile.

    I have a requirement in LOV that the "selective search criteria" functionality should work on basis of the some profile option. Please help me out how I handle it through the controller which is attached with LOVRN.

    Hi
    then is no method provided in OAMessageLovInputBean class to set the criteria programmatically ,SPEL binding too is not possible ,but you can do it in tricky way
    1.) If this is standard LOV than hide this standard lov and
    2.) Create two LOVs one with Selective Search Criteria true and second with Selective Search Criteria false ,both will have same view instance and view attribute.
    3.) Do controller extension and make them conditionaly rendred true or false in process request method ,if you want to this in PFR method then bind them with SPEL.

  • Exact Search Criteria in OAF

    Hi,
    I have developed a Custom OA Page with VO having 9 Columns, all 9 columns are in search criteria having LOV for each column. It is oracle R12 environment.
    Problem:
    When i search for a specific value for column it is returning values in result region starting with that value.
    Example: when i search for a value like 1234, it is returning the values starting with 1234. Actually it is taking as 1234%, hence it is returning values like 12341,12342,12343,12344,12345. Is there any property that i need to set to get results for exact values.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Surendra N

    Thanks Sushant,
    I could able to override the executeQuery.
    I am facing another issue that is with where clause, please find the below where clause that i have used.
    setWhereClause("segment1 = nvl(:1,segment1)");
    By using this i can search exact match, but there is another requirement to search like values. I can search for a value '1234', but if i give '1234%' it is not retrieving the details.
    In where clause can i use LIKE instead of '=' sign.

  • Problem in the search in the LOV

    Hello
    I am having problem in LOV in the form6i.
    i have created 4 item like IT_1,IT_2,IT_3,ITEM_1,ITEM_2 in the table MASTER_ITEM.
    in my lov it is selecting all the items from MASTER_ITEM.but when i am going to LOV Iin the find ,i gave IT_% ,and in the result it is giving all the items starting wih IT,instead it should only give IT_1,IT_2,IT_3.
    Hope You all understand my problem.Is there any way to change this find search criteria in LOV or can have any other solutions to this problem.
    Regards

    Hi All
    Is this such a tough question?There are lot of big
    wigs in this forum.Please spend some of your time and
    have look in this issue.If it has not been solved in
    6i ,is there any patch released for this or it may be
    solved in 9i,10g also.
    Regardsyour problem cannot be solved by a patch because it is not a bug, it is a generic behavior.
    We are all volunteers here, we do it for free and we do whenever we have time, we all have our own work to do.
    One solution for you is to build your own LOV window and use an ESCAPE character in the filtering criteria.
    Try it, it's fun.

  • How to clear last search criteria in ADF form?

    I'm building an ADF form. This form uses JTextField controls. When I switch to Find Mode, I want to clear criteria of the last search that JDev remembered. I've tried to remove ActionListener of FIND button in Navigation Bar, then add a new ActionListener that I created to handle FIND action myself. But the results are not perfect as I expected: JDev still filled the last search criteria.
    For example, I searched with these criteria: Code = 'ABC', the next time enter Find Mode, I want this criteria to be cleared. My code is below:
    JButton btnFind = navApplication.getButton(navApplication.BUTTON_FIND);
    btnFind.removeActionListener(navApplication);
    btnFind.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){
           public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
         navApplication.doAction(navApplication.BUTTON_FIND);
         if (navApplication.getModel().isFindMode())
              txtCode.setText("");
              txtName.setText("");
              txtAddress.setText("");
    });

    Hi,
    Could, some body please answer to my question I raised above.
    Cheers,
    Krishna.

  • Need - Search page with LOV based flexfield item as search criteria

    Our requirement is to make a flexfield item as search criteria.
    Flexfield is having 2 segments Applicaiton and Responsibility, where 2nd segment *(Responsibility) is dependent on 1st (Application).*
    Accordingly, an LOV must get displayed for each flex segment in the search panel.
    We tried to create a page having this flex (DFF) item as a search criteria, but cannot proceed to get results in results region - we tried to use both properties in the query region - resultsbasedSearch and autocustomizationCriteria:
    Any ideas how to make a search functionality having LOV based flexfield items in the search criteria?
    Any other suggestions regarding the solution are welcome.
    Thank you very much.

    try a SQL query that uses bind variables as follows

  • ADF 11g - Query Component - How to set default values for search criteria

    I have defined a VO with named query (with 2 search criteria). I created a page and drop a query with table. It works just fine until this point. My requirement is to set a default values for the two search criteria. For example, I have release and category criteria where they are set to use a drop down. I would like to default the values for the drop down when the page is shown up the first time and query the result right away. Is there a way declaratively or I have to create a custom query?
    Thanks.

    I figured this out. Thanks.

  • How to edit Existing Search Criteria

    Hi Experts,
    In my ADF application already I have Search Criteria, for this existing I have to add two more fields say 'LOB' and 'CustomerName' as a Dropdown.
    The following LOB values should be available in dropdown and these LOB values should be accessed from DB Table.
    Upon selection of LOB value as ‘SNI’ ,customer name dropdown is displayed and the customer names related to that LOB are populated in the dropdown.
    View Object is created on Read only access through SQL_Query.
    please can anyone suggest me for the same??
    thanks
    Santosh
    Edited by: Santosh M E on Jan 4, 2012 10:16 PM

    For this, you need to create LOV for LOB and a dependent LOV for customer names.
    Ex. you create a new VO for LOB - select LOB from ...... and another VO for customers - select cust_name from ..... where lob = :lob (this is fed by the LOB lov)
    Once you do this in the model, your query component will behave as you want.
    You can watch the video of the Shay's cascaded lov building tutorial here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXwL2_RP7AQ
    Make sure that you set dependency of customer name on LOB in the properties

  • View criteria and LOVs

    Hi I am very new to ADF and just getting started on view criteria and LOVs. Is it possible to create a query panel and table such that in the search section the fields have drop down boxes or select many shuttles ? Right now what ever criteria i give is coming as only text boxes. I want for some fields there must be values retrieved from database and shown as drop down list and for another field I need it to be shown as SelectManyShuttle.
    Any suggestions or examples should be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

    Hi Ravi,
    Sure, there is a way to do this. The attributes in your ViewCriteria should have LOV defined on them to show dropdown list for that attribute. When you include that attribute in your VC, it will show as selectOneChoice or whatever you have defined the LOV as.
    This might help:

  • How to add a new  search criteria in Advance Search Page in OAF

    HI,
    In my application (R12) we can access customer related information from 2 places (2 different responsibilities as mentioned below), both are OAF pages.
    1. AX receivables
    2. Sales online
    From both the responsibilities we can perform search for customer related information as well (Simple as well as Advance Search).
    But Advance Search screen from 'Sales online' allows user to perform search, based on few additional fields as well such as 'Classification' (it's an lov based field).
    Now, User is asking to add that field on search page of AX receivables as well.
    So, how to add one more field (as search criteria), on an standard 'Customer' screen?
    Additional Info :
    1. LOV is based on HzPuiClassificationFilterVO
    2. And this VO is available on both pages. (oracle.apps.ar.hz.components.search.server.HzPuiClassificationFilterVO)
    So can we achieve this by Personalization only ? if yes plz share the steps as well.
    Regards,
    Adi

    Yes. It is possible through personalization.
    1. Create a criteria row under Advance Search
    2. Create a Result Item under advance table columns
    3. Create a Query Criteria Map based on the criteria and result item above.
    Please note the newly added criteria field should be in the Searchresults VO attributes list.
    Otherwise you need to extend the VO as well.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    -Mukesh.

    1) Search panel textinput item should be search allowed true and prompt is need. no other property need to set.
    HERE YOU DONT WANT TO SET VIEW INSTANCE AND ATTRIBUTE SINCE WE ARE DOING FOR EXTENDED VO ITEM AS SEARCH ITEM.THAT'S OK. I TRIED WITH YOUR COMMENTS FOR TEXTINPUT ITEM TOO.
    Comment--
    textinput item created is a simple item without any VO instance , etc.
    There is no question of extended VO item, its a simple textinput item.
    value in this field is going to compare with the values in result table.
    2) Search mapping, only search item id and result item id need to set.
    I'M DOING HERE MAPPING FOR ABOVE SEARCH ITEM ID AND RESULT ITEM ID
    Comment-- Perfect !!
    3) Item created in table , after you extended Vo, view instance and attribute needs to set.
    WHERE DO YOU WANT THIS TO BE SET?? CAN YOU ELABORATE THIS MORE PLEASE.MAY BE I'M MISSING HERE SOMETHING.
    Comment-- you must have created message styled text item in adv table bean, assign VO instance and attribute to it, right?
    4) One more thing Parag, do i need to include where clause for extended VO item in view object??
    for ex:
    where attribute(this is extended vo item)=:4
    Comment-- No need. this will be handled by point#2 above, i.e. criteria and result items.

  • How to get the search criteria value in model

    Hi,
    I've a search page and one of the search item has BETWEEN operator. How can I get the values for this search criteria item in model project ie., inside the VOImpl.java?
    Thanks

    As you gave no jdev version and no use case all I can tell is to look at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/59-table-filter-by-data-range-176653.pdf which might help.
    What do you want to do with the parameter inside the VO?
    Depending on the use case and jdev version there are other possible solutions.
