Script needed at OS level to Convert XML to FlatFile
Hi All,
Can any one providde me Script to Convert XML to FlatFile at OS Level(Windows Based script).I'd thankful for your suggestions..
Thanks
PullaraoHi !!
You can execute a Unix script running in the XI server from the File communication channel. Ie. if you want to do something which was not part of XI adapter configuation , then you can make use of external unix script and you can execute those from the XI.
For this, write a unix script and place in the XI OS level provided that path is accessible from PI Channel.
E.g
So u can use this in either Sender Channel to modify the data before it reaches into the Integration Server or in Receiver channel it is generally used to transfer the files into different location via Secure FTP

XI can be in any OS.
Go through this again first.

Any Maxl Script to Export and import of Partition
Hi All,
Is there any maxl or Esscmd command which will do an Export or an import of the partition.
Regards,
Krishna.Hi Krishna,
here ,there are 2 things.
Firstly, creation of partition( which is possible through MAXL scripts).Once the partition is made, an XML is created(which is what garycris was mentioning in his post).
Goto any application -> database -> partitions ->right click here , you see "import partition",and the file nature is of XML.When you look at this window , you will undestand .I am not sure of the same functinoality in MAXL.
Hope this info helps

Problem using xsl to convert xml to xml
I have and xml doc that has a format similar to this:
<HEADER>
<ORDER_NUMBER>
<ORDER_DATE>
<LINE>
<LINE_NUMBER>
<ITEM>
</LINE>
<LINE_NUMBER>
<ITEM>
</LINE>
</HEADER>
When I convert from xml to xml using xsl I do not get the second occurence of <LINE>, everything else looks fine.
Please help.
Thanks, JohnHi John,
I also have problems to convert xml to xml by xsl at command-line interface as follows.
CLASSPATH=$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/jlib/xsu12.jar:$ORACLE_HOME/lib/xmlparserv2.jar:$ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/classes12.zip
java oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxsl source.xml -s myxsl.xsl destination.xml
and I received error message as "Error occurred while processing myxsl.xsl: Error in expression: '*|/'."
Actually, the source xml file and xsl script I used were copied from the book "Professional XML".
Do you know what's the problem and could you show me setting for the classpath?
Thanks.

MAXL Script for copying outline
Can we write any MAXL Script for copying outline from one aplication/datbase to another application/database.
Example copying olt from app1.dbb1 to app2.dbb2No and yes.
There is no MaxL statement for copying an outline from one DB to another (Unless you are converting from BSO to ASO). But you can shell system commands like xcopy within a MaxL script (of course you could just do this in your batch or shell script) . Just make sure you stop the Dbs before doing the copy -
Maxl scripts to perform backup of the following
Help me with these (Maxl script to do these backups)
How to take Backup of filters (use maxl script to get filter information of all native cubes).
Since we use xref calc a lot so we need to backup information of location alias.
We have partitioning so we need to get partition information backed up.Hi,
Filter information is stored in the essbase.sec file so it is good start to make sure that is being backed up.
As for extracting filter information by maxl you can do it with something like :-
login admin password on localhost;
spool on to 'c:\temp\filters.txt';
display filter row all;
spool off;
logout;
or if you want to narrow the filter down to a database use
display filter row app.db;
You will also need to change the column width to fit all the filter in e.g.
set column_width 50;
You can also dump the whole security file to a text file if you wanted which includes all the filter information (from 9.3.1)
export security_file to data_file C:\temp\sec_file.txt;
I take it your partitions don't change very often so you can easily just export the partition to xml from EAS, depending on what you are on.
Cheers
John

Can anyone provide me the Maxl script to do this?
We use transparent partitioning , we need to get partition information backed up . Can anyone provide me the Maxl script to do this?
Hi,
The best way of exporting partitions is doing it through EAS and export them to XML, then they can be imported in easily. Not the best way for automation though partitions shouldn't really change too often.
If you have to do it by Maxl then you could use :-
login hypadmin password on localhost;
set column_width 50;
spool on to 'c:\temp\partitions.txt';
display partition all advanced;
spool off;
logout;
You will obviously have to play around with the column width so it will fit all the relevant information for your apps.
Cheers
John

How to delete the members in one dimension use the maxl script
i have question that i want to delete the members in one dimension useing the maxl script, but i do not know how to do it. can the maxl delete the members in one dimension? if can, please provide an sample script, thank you so mcuh.
MaxL does not have commands to alter an outline directly, except the reset command which can delete all dimensions but not members selectively. The best you could do would be to run a rules file (import dimensions) using a file that contains the members you want to keepload rule for the dimension. As typical the warning is to test this first before you do it on a production database

How to change the Existing alias with new alias name...MAXL SCRIPT
HI Experts
I need to change alias name of the existing member with new alias name.
please send me maxl code to change the alias name .
My thought is
1) Old alias should be replaced with new alias name .
2)There is one account that should be rolled out to another parent..these parents are already exsist
3) I need a MAXL Script to change the new alias name .
please suggest ASAP.
Thanks
USERJohn
I heard that we can replace existing alias name with new alias thru MAXL
i.e replace alias name XXXX member with YYYY ;
please correct me if iam wrong ,might be Maxl command is wrong but this is the idea.
Thanks

Dear friends
For converting XML file to SAP, I used TEXT_CONVERT_XML_TO_SAP function module. In this I have some doubt. Pls clarify this.
1. I am getting run time error with type h.
2 I_FIELD_SEPERATOR = ';'
I_LINE_HEADER =
I_TAB_RAW_DATA =
I_FILENAME =
I_TOTALSIZE =
for the above parameter what are the value has to passed.
Thanks.Hi,

Converted XML not showing multiple data entries correctly
Hello
I am creating a PDF Form from a xsd scheme but when I have data that could require multiple entries the converted xml is a mess. I am curently trying to create a way to add fields for multiple children. I created an expanding table and the fields are automatically copied when I click on „+“ or are deleted when I click on „-“ . If I have multiple rows for children then the converted xml looks like this :
The correct xml for multiple data entries should look like this (this is from a xml scheme not made in LiveCycle) :
Even if I copy the fields without creating a table, the converted xml is still a mess just like on the first image. Is there a way to show the xml from the PDF from correctly. I linked the xsd scheme that I am using for the PDF form: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B30LkLSwYgB4SFN5bTkyLW1fOVU/edit?usp=sharing

Command to Export project as Final Cut Pro XML from jsx script
Hi All,
Can somebody get me the command to export the project as final cut pro xml from jsx script.
I was using the extension builder script earlier for cs6 panel development, so we were using pjct.exportFinalCutProXML("pathname");
Now I am working for panel in Premiere CC so working on HTML 5 panel and qe dom scripting(.jsx).
In some jsx examples i got there is script to export sequence as final cut pro xml but cannot get the code for project export.
project.activeSequence.exportAsFinalCutProXML(entire_out_path);
Also please let me know if there are any kind of reference available about all the functions and properties in the pe dom scripting for premiere pro cc.
I am using premiere pro cc 7.1, windows 7, Eclipse Kepler.
Thanks in advance,
Anoop NRWhen you reimport the exported project XML to FCP, do you get the full project or just the single bin/sequence? If you get the full project then it sounds like you need Premiere help, not FCP help ... have you tried asking on the Adobe forums? If you only get the single bin/sequence then it seems you might have inadvertently selected those prior to creating the project export. Try making sure that your FCP Browser window is active and that you have not selected anything within that window prior to using the File > Export > XML command. If that still causes issue then you might try using an earlier FCP XML version.
Hope it helps
Andy
