Converting web Url in Ep system
Dear Experts ,
please help me in below my issue
now my netweaver consultant requires to open EP web url in Https mode , upto now it is working in Http only
so please help me how can i convert this from Http to Https

i) Rz10 icm/server_port_1 is set to PROT=HTTPS, PORT=8444 and 8443 and 443 also
icm/server_port_0 is set to PROT=HTTP,PORT=80$$
ii) Restarted and i checked in smicm but in that t-code i tried to activate https but it is given an error rc=1

Error converting web page to PDF using Acrobat 8 IE 9 on Vista
I am getting the following errow when I try converting web page to PDF using Acrobat 8 on IE 9 on Vista. This worked previously but it appears that a recent update to Acrobat caused issues with this functionality. This happened once before and after some troubleshooting the technician wasable to get the functionality working again. The Adobe printer shows up with "Error" however I can still create PDFs from outlook.

Local testing server root and web url
I would like to know if I have correctly set up my local testing server for the root folders. Very new to this.
Local site folder is at C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\.
Test server folder is C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\
Web URL is http://localhost/NIF/
Links are relative to document.
In case it matters, site is using ZenPhoto gallery.
I can see my index page's dynamic content in LiveView, but I'm not sure if I have the root paths correct.
Root of the online website is at http://natureinfocus.com/ with a gallery at http://natureinfocus.com/galleries
Currently an address in DW shows http://localhost/nif/galleries/ where the actual website would show http://natureinfocus.com/galleries/
I've put testing site root in a subfolder since I may have several sites.
Do I have this set up correctly or do I need to change soemthig since I've put the root in a subfolder?
Also wasn't sure if links should be set instead to relative to document or site root?

SSL is enabled in WLS 9.2 and its wrkng fine. And iam able to access login page in secure(https)mode. After this page i need to convert the url from https mode to http. For enabling https i added some code in web.xml. For switchinng https to http i dn't knw anythng.
Pls gve me suggetion.

A web service is created in the external system and I need to access this web service from a BADI. Can you tell me how can I call this web service (the external system is giving me a URL) and how I'll get a return. Please let me know in detail.

Hi. You can call the service via HTTP protocol. Pass them values (SET_DATA), and receive a response (GET_DATA), via xml/html.
In your code you would need to create the xml data to pass them, and evaluate the returned xml.
Process...
Data setup
1) Create the XML to send them
Working with the external service
2) Open the HTTP connection
2a) cl_http_client=>create_by_url (IF_HTTP_CLIENT)
2b) lr_client->authenticate
3) Call the to send them the XML
3a) lr_client->request->set_data
3b) lr_client->send
4) Call the lr_client->receive to return the response
5) Close the connection lr_client->close
Data evaluate
6) Evaluation the returned XML and process.

Receiver service ??? cannot be converted into an ALE logical system
Hi,
I am hoping for some help with an Idoc issue in XI version 3.0. The scenario is like this:
Flat file->File adapter->XI->Idoc adapter->R/3
I have configured a scenario in one system like this that works fine. But in the current system I am getting the error message "Receiver service ??? cannot be converted into an ALE logical system" from the Idoc adapter.
As it is XI 3.0, I have set the Agency and Scheme in the destination communication channel to <Service>, ALE#LS and in the destination party, I have created a alternative identifier <Service>, ALE#LS, SYSCLNT200.
I have configured an ALE logical system name in the SLD.
I have cleared the SLD cache in the integration builder.
The ALE logical system name was not in the SLD when the message first appeared, but I thought clearing the cache would fix that. I have not tried deleting the service and re creating it. That is my next step....if all else fails.
Not sure what else I haven't tried.

On your questions:
1. I checked IDX1 - port for the receiving R/3 is defined as SAPIR1_300 (port: SAPIR1 and Client: 300) and it is mapped to RFC destination of IR1300.
2. Checked RFC destination IR1300 - it is setup as R/3 connection and checked test connection and remote login and both are working fine
3. Checked IDX5 - did find one message (status is successful) corresponding to the file I am sending into R/3 and this entry is an Outbound entry.
Question: Should there be two entries here in IDX5 - one for inbound and the other for outbound?
May be I am doing something wrong here in setting up the interface mapping and endpoints. Anyway when I check the IDOCOutbound in the Soap Header, I see the following:

Do you see anything wrong or missing here. SNDPOR is XI port, SNDPRN is the source partner (file) and RCV... information is all the receiving R/3.

I need a possibility to <b>convert Web Reports</b> designed in WAD <b>into PDF</b>. SAP help portal says: 'You access BEx Web applications and reports in the portal. You will need to add a URL or button group to your template and use the command wizard to create the command ("Export Web Template"). You should be able to find more information in the SAP Help documentation for SAP NetWeaver 2004s, which I know you already have a link to.
If you are on a ramp-up project, you should have access also to the Ramp-up Knowledge Transfer (RKT) in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/rkt-netweaver. This site contains materials that explain the new features, including the new web items and the command wizard. If you don't have access, check with your SAP consultant for assistance.

Error in converting Web Items from 3.x to 7.0

We are converting web items created in 3.0 to 7.0 using the program RSZW_ITEM_MIGRATION_3X_TO_70. It is converting all items, but the items that are not assigned to a library in 3.0 are not getting assigned to a role, although I am using the check box - 'Put unassigned items to role' and giving an existing role. I can see the converted item using the 'Find' functionality.
And maybe because the web items are not assigned to a role, when I am trying to convert a web template, it says that these web items need conversion.
Please let me know if there is any solution to the problem.

Every workbook that was created with the BW 3.x system, when you open it in the new BI 7 system, the system will prompt that message for migration.
But only after you save the workbook (that you open with BI 7) in the BI 7 Analyzer is the workbook really saved. If you don't save it, it will continue to show that message and you'll continue to have it in version 3.X
Also be aware that after you migrate (save in BI 7 version) the workbook will no longer be executed any more in the BW 3.x version, only in BI 7.

We have an internal web based system in which we would like to 'print' one of the screens as a report. However, when we use the Convert Web Page to PDF option, the resulting PDF doesn't look anything close to the web page. We are wanting to use the Convert Web Page option so the links to the images remain and can be clicked on and viewed from our internal servers.

As you can see, the two do not resemble each other very much. The image thumbnails on the PDF screen are located at the bottom of the web page we are converting.
We are receiving the same results on two different computers running two different OS (Windows XP and Windows 7) with two different versions of Acrobat (Acrobat 6 Professional and Acrobat 8 Professional).
Does anyone have any suggestions? The Convert Web Page option also doesn't work well on eBay Order screen either. I stopped using it years ago but a coworker would really like to be able to share our QC Inspection Reports with other people in the company easily.
Any help and suggestions would be apprecitated.

Thanks again for the reply. I am using the Convert Web Page to PDF selection on the Adobe toolbar which is available in IE. I printed the page from File >> Print and it looks good except no links. It is also printed in a Portrait style page layout.

When I used the Convert Web Page to PDF from the Adobe toolbar, it looks like it is attempting to 'print' it in a landscape mode and that may be where the problem is.

tks, bye.I am not sure if web service is a right fit for your issue but web service is accessed from another system using a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) which will be generated when you create a web service using SE80 or by running the wizard.
The other system might not know that you file is ready, I suggest to write a sequential(repetetive) program in the target system and check by using the URL and check if the file is ready. If the file is ready pick the file else repeat the step. -

Have you ever tried using generic module properties of analysis item. There are implementations such as com.sap.ip.bi.rig.format, maybe you can ctach up something trying that. I didn't try it myself yet though there can be solution through using modules.

We upgraded the XI 3.0 to PI 7.3 system. We already have existing SAP system(ECC, APO, CRM Etc.). I am trying to change the Related Integration Server of Business systems of Type Web as ABAP to another Related Integration Server, the system is throwing below error.
This error is throwned because we have not maintained Configuration URL in Business system.
Please let me know how to over come this problem.

Convert file url to http url in jsp
Hi, is there a way to convert file url (file:/opt/test/test.pdf) to http url? I have tried so hard and still stuck on it. Please give help. Thanks in advance!
I found another solution to dispaly my pdf file on browser without storing the pdf file to application real path. My application generated PDF file and stored it to some place like /opt/report/**.pdf. Then define ContentType("application/vnd.fdf"), use java InputStream and outputStream to operater file.
I deeply appreciate the help from everyone in this forum. I hope my solution could help someone who have the problem like me.

Error Converting Web Page to PDF?
Just recently my adobe acrobat 9.4
refused to convert web pages to pdf. I get the following message:
Error Has Occurred

Char:3
Error: Permission Denied
URL:res//C:\ProgramFIles/Commonfiles/Adobe/Acrobat/ActiveX/AcrolEFavClient.dll/AcrolEcaptL RE.HTML
Does anyone know what this means and why it just started occurring after I've had the program for a few years?
I tried the modify/repair function which does nothing and uploaded all updates but I'm forced to resort to copying the relevant info
by copying to a word program. Any ideas?

Are you mean the problem lies in the browser? rgmorey said he update to the latest IE version but he still has that issue. I don't have this problem and I use two browsers, IE and firefox.
I install a pdf creating tool and it can be served as virtual printer to save web page as pdf. And it also allows you to add password and compress text or image of pdf file to reduce the size. In my opinion, a better way to preserve webpage content to largest extent is to save webpage as image firstly then convert it to pdf file. -
