  • What is the best way to see what toshiba software can/should be installed?

I'm thinking about formating my A100-454's hard disc, starting from zero and installing Windows Vista Ultimate.
I would like to know what (last version, and preferently, in portuguese language) software/drivers should i install. Is there any webpage that gives that information?, without being "dumped" by a search that gives "any software any drivers any version" downloads (yes, i'm forgetting the filters...:) )?
I ask because, as you all know, the laptop cames with many software/utilities installed, and, at least i, don't really know "what does what " and i would like to see a page that objectivelly, would say "for A100-454 ... install these software and drivers, this software does this, this software does that..."
    Regards, from Portugal

Select your model and download the drivers for your operating system.

  • Can "they" see what sites I'm connecting to?

I connect to the internet on my MBP through airport extreme which is connected to a LAN. My question is, can the LAN admins or ISP providers or ANYONE who's in "charge" up there see exactly what sites and pages I have browsed to? I know they can see whether or not I'm connected and using the internet, but how much can "they" see exactly?
I have my firewall enabled as well as firewall logging, blocking udp traffic (whatever that is) and stealth mode. Just curious... I guess I'm a bit paranoid!
    Thanks for your help.

    Ehlimana,
I was a system administrator in a computing lab. We were up to our ears (and a few other body parts!) in computers. We created an inventory database of all our computers and then I created a system that would query the main switch for the company and retrieve all the MAC numbers of computers using our network.
When someone connected an unauthorized computer on our network, within a few seconds I would have a window on my desktop computer showing me the computer's MAC number, IP address and what jack they were plugged into, and a small map showing me which cube the person was sitting in inside the building. If it was through our wireless node, I still had their MAC number.
With that, I had several tools at my disposal with which I could use to find out what they were doing and look at the sites they were visiting. Even if their packets were encrypted, I could still see what site they were visiting.
Not only that, we also had access to the logs, so even if someone was authorized, we could still go through the logs and see who was looking at what.
The point is, whoever owns the network can pretty much see anything they want to see on the network. If you want to keep your surfing private, do it at home on the network you own. And always make sure you have all your security precautions in place!

I'm trying to view a site that sends a message that I don't have the most recent graphic card drivers to view with.  It suggests I have the ability to view, but that my drivers might be disabled.  I don't know how to check to see what graphic drivers my macbook (end of 2008 model) have enable.  Can someone help?

You don't need to care about graphic driver on Mac OSX. It includes in OSX and run the driver your MacBook need.

  • What happened to the option to see all your purchased movies alphabetically?  I can only see recent purchases and then I have to look by movie type.  With over 500 movies purchased this is a huge pain.

What happened to the option to see all your purchased movies alphabetically?  I can only see recent purchases and then I have to look by movie type.  With over 500 movies purchased, this is a huge pain.  For instance the movie Airport 77 is classified as Drama not action?  But it is action?  I have to look at both types to find the film.  I will stop buying films via AppleTV if this is the way it is going to stay.  I am not searching for films in this crazy manner.

Same issue here. Might have to do with size of library. I too have over 300 purchased movies. "ALL PURCHASED" folder disappeared yesterday on all my AppleTV's. My son only has 20+ purchased movies and his still shows "ALL" folder. However, I had him log in under my account and "ALL" folder is missing??? I hope Apple gets this resolved quickly. I too do not want to flip through various Genres looking for movies.

  • Is there a way to see what data Apple associates with your profile?

I'm asking this question in the iCloud.com discussion, but I'm curious about this topic more generally. Apple's privacy policy states that they may store information like occupation, zip code, past purchase information, etc. I know Apple offers the mobile opt-out option at oo.apple.com.  But I'm curious if Apple offers a way to monitor your data profile without opting out.

Actually, no. Here is what I am curious about: Apple's privacy policy says that they use information about your demographics, activity and past purchases to show you advertising and stuff like that. I was curious if there was a way to see what Apple "thinks" it knows about you, basically the cookie data they have associated with your account.

the ipod hi-fi is the other side of the room to the mac

You can connect your Mac with an airport express (wireless) and then plug the airport express with your iPod HiFi (either optical or analogue). You can play the music from the iTunes with your Mac (without using the iPod).

  • Is there a way to see what apps are on the phones under your account?

Can anyone tell me if you can see the apps that are on each phone under your account?

As noted earlier, your Google account lists the apps you've downloaded for your account.  So unless someone has your Google credentials, they're only visible to you.
As Jakeman1 said, log into Google Play from a computer (or request the desktop version from a mobile device).  On the left, click Apps.  Then underneath that, click My Apps.  Just to the right of that, click the drop-down next to All Apps and you can see what apps have been downloaded by device.  You also can assign nicknames for the devices via the Settings (the gear in the upper right-hand corner).

  • In explorer when I go to my banks sites - I see a lock - what should I look for in Fkirefox

I have only used explorer - so I am new to this browzer. When I visit my bank or am about to use paypal I see a lock, so I know the site is secure - what should I look for with Firefox?

They've been silly and removed it.
I've posted my thoughts on this here.

You now need to click on the icon on to the left of the websites address on the address bar!!!
So if you look up now you'll see mozilla.com icon on the address bar!
Edit; '''In addition this would be a workaround for FF5 to get the Padlock back!!'''

  • See what routes your eigrp advertises to you?

    Hello guys,
Today I realized that I do not know a command that could tell me what routes my eigrp neighbor advertises to me.
I am on the hub ASR routers which terminates many DMVPN tunnels and I would need an effective way to see what routes one of the remote routers advertises to me, similar to advertised-routes in BGP
    How can I find it?
    Thanks a lot!!

The only thing that I can think of is to filter your topology table with:
    sh ip eigrp topol all-link | i ^P|<ip address of neighbor>
You'll get back all routes in the topology table, but the address of the neighbor that you filter will show and no others.
    You'll get something like below:
    R1(config-router)#do sh ip eigrp top all | i ^P|192.168.12.2
    P 2.2.2.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 409600, serno 8
            via 192.168.12.2 (409600/128256), FastEthernet0/0
    P 3.3.3.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 128256, serno 10
    P 16.16.16.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 2560025856, serno 9
            via 192.168.12.2 (2560025856/2560000256), FastEthernet0/0
    P 192.168.12.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 281600, serno 1
    R1(config-router)#
If that doesn't work, the only other thing that I could think of is a tcl script to filter it out for you.

    John

  • Is there a way to to see what text messages you have on your iphone from your computer?

Ok so my phone turns on.  People can call me and I can swipe and answer their phone call.  The only thing that is wrong is that I can not see what I'm doing on my phone.  The screen just has a bunch of lines going up and down it when I turn it on.  It's like the matrix without the color green. I can plug it up to my computer and sync it and manage music and stuff like that.  So picture this, If I was blind, then I would have no clue that my phone did not work.  So now on to the question.  Can I see the messages in my phone or possibly anything at all? Is their a way to plug my phone up to my computer via usb cord and be able to see what I'm click on by like pulling up some window on my computer?  Or could I just access my messages and phone calls to see if anyone has called or texted me through clicking on specific folders inside or outside of itunes.  I have a Macbook Pro by the way. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks!

Thanks - but I don't want to delete entire threads, just most of the history in all threads. For example, is there a way to transfer all of my text messages, in all threads, from only from the last 2 months?

  • Is there a CUCM API which can be used to see what calls are in progress?

    Hello All,
I am trying to build a basic monitoring application which will display a list of calls in progress along with endpoint information such as IP address etc
Is there a CUCM API which can be used to see what calls are in progress?
    Thanks
    Matt

    Matt,
It looks like another person had a similar question before, see the following thread:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/9697836/can-use-axl-or-other-api-get-calls-progress
Also, according to the comments seen on that post, I was able to find the JTAPI developers guide, see more information below:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/jtapi_dev/8_6_1/jtapidevguide/overview.html
If this still does not satisfy your question then, the best you can do is post this inquiry on the Cisco Developer Network on the following link:
    https://developer.cisco.com/site/devnet/home/index.gsp
    Hope this information helps,
    Marco Rojas.
