COPA pulling different number of records each time?

Dear Friends,
I ran a COPA full load for (with Infosource 1_CO_PA_COSTING and) for a the same range of 0FISCPER (three periods)and the load brought different no of records each time. It brought 30,000 records the first time, 3 the second time and 1 the third time. All these loads were run with in 10 minutes. What possibly is the reason? Please share your thoughts?

Different number of records in RSA3 for Full and INIT

Hi All,
I am about to load the data from 0FI_GL_4 and checked it in RSA3 for the number of records. It returned different number of records when I run the extract with options 'F' and 'C'. Why is it so? This is the first time I am loading the data into BW for this datasource. I would expect the number of records to be same if I do either a full extract or an init but surprised by seeing different number of records.

Hi James,
Probably it's because of the time stamps stored in table BWOM2_TIMEST.
If you run a delta init and than a delta update then the number of the records should match with the record of the full update.

Hi,
you maintain the number assignment for the following documents:
material documents
physical inventory documents
The number assignment for these documents is not to be confused with the number assignment for accounting documents . The number assignment for accounting documents depends on the document type which is allocated to the transaction.
The number assignment for material documents and physical inventory documents depends on the transaction/event type which is also allocated to each transaction in Inventory Management. The transaction/event types are divided into groups of number ranges. A number range interval has to be defined for each group.
You cannot change the transaction/event types. However, you can change the number range intervals or you can allocate transaction/event types to new groups.
Caution: Change in the Fiscal Year
If, at the time of a fiscal year change, you reset the number range in the new fiscal year, separate number range intervals for the previous year and for the current year must be maintained for one month to allow postings to the prior period.
Example:
Interval for 1995: 4900000000 to 4999999999 status: 4900451234
Interval for 1996: 4900000000 to 4999999999 status: 4900000000
If only one number range interval exists for both years and you make any postings to the previous period, the system will assign numbers that already exist in the previous year. This would lead to an update termination.
In the standard system, the transaction/event types and number range intervals are preset for Inventory Management as follows:
Physical inventory documents
Number range interval from 0100000000 to 0199999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- IB Physical inventory documents
- ID Physical inventory documents for counts and differences
without reference
- IN Physical inventory documents for recounts
- IZ Physical inventory documents for count without reference
- WV Physical inventory documents for difference postings in the WM System
Material documents for goods movements and inventory differences
Number range interval from 4900000000 to 4999999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- WA Goods issues, transfer postings, other goods receipts
- WH Goods movements for handling units (HU)
- WI Material documents for inventory adjustment postings
- WL Goods issues for delivery documents (SD)
- WQ Goods movements for usage decisions (QM)
- WR Goods movements for completion confirmations (PP)
- WS Goods movements for run schedule headers (PP)
- WZ Documents for batch status changes
Material documents for goods receipts
Number range interval from 5000000000 to 5999999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
- WE Goods receipts for purchase orders
- WF Goods receipts for production orders
- WO Subsequent adjustment of subcontract orders
- WW Subsequent adjustment of active ingredient materials
Inventory sampling numbers
Number range interval from 0200000000 to 0299999999
This group contains the transaction/event type SI.
SAP recommends that you accept the settings defined in the standard system. In this case, no action is required on your part.
Note
For performance reasons, 10 document numbers are buffered on the application server. In this way, gaps in number assignment can occur.
Actions
Check whether you can use the predefined groups and number intervals.
If you want to change any groups, proceed as follows:
a) Choose Group -> Maintain.
b) Select the transaction/event type that you want to re-allocate.
c) Place the cursor on the new group and choose Edit -> Assign element group).
d) Save your settings.
If you want to define new groups, proceed as follows:
a) Select Group -> Maintain.
b) Then select Group -> Insert.
c) Enter a text for the number range group.
d) Maintain the number interval for this number range group.
e) Allocate the transaction/event types to the number range groups (see step 2).
If you want to maintain new number range intervals for an existing group, proceed as follows:
a) Choose Group -> Maintain.
b) Select a group and choose Interval -> Maintain.
c) Choose Edit -> Insert year.
d) Maintain the number interval for the new fiscal year.
If you do not want to use the year-related number assignment method, enter 9999 in the field Year.
Note on transport
You transport number range objects as follows:
In the initial screen, choose Interval -> Transport.
Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.

Different Number of Records

Good Morning All,
I'm using a SSIS package to load data into the DWH. The source is ORACLE and destination is SQL SERVER. My first question is :
1) There is a column in the source table "FULLDATETIME" datatype "DATE". But when i load it into the SQLSERVER its stored as date with timestamp.
For example in the source column if the value is "05-FEB-14" in the destination table its loaded as "2014-02-05 21:15:00.000".I'm not using any transformation it is a straight load.
2) My second question is i want to schedule this package to just load the delta records, for this i'm using the FULLDATETIME column from the Source table and want to load just the previous date's records. Please see the below queries i'm getting two different
sets of records. The first SQL is giving me 5 records and the second one is giving me 1619 records. I'm confused as both queries mean the same.

If you look at my above queries i'm joining those to load the first table TABLEA every night with the delta records. When you said that the YEAR, MONTHOFYEAR and DAYOFMONTH are not based on FULLDATETTIME i'm confused as all these columns are part of the
TIME DIMENSION table in the Source, on the othr hand in my second query i have FULLDATETIME field and when i run the sql for the 1619 records it shows the '05-FEB-2014' Value. Is there a way where i can load just the records from the previous day based on
these fields (YEAR,MONTHOFYEAR,DAYOFMONTH)?

I use many brush tips from the different libraries frequently - but each time I restart Illustrator I loose my work space set up even if I save it.

Is there a way around loosing the brush palette set up each time I start up illustrator? I often use these brush sets and set up a work space that works well - and then even save it. But when I restart Illustrator it reverts back to the essential brush palette showing only. Is there a way to keep the set up exactly as I like it? I have saved them as user defined - but it still always requires me to cal that up - just wondering if there is a way around this?

There are no apps to do what you want, that's why you can't find any. No app would have access to the necessary API's to do this, thus only Apple could implement such. You can suggest such to Apple here:

Another suggestion is to look at Google Voice. I don't know if it offers these specific features or not, but it is highly customizable.

JDBC Sender - Different number of records selected and updated.

We have a JDBC -> Abap proxy scenario. The JDBC sender is pooling an Oracle database to retrieve data from a table X, each 30 minutes. The select and update statements in jdbc sender are below
SELECT FIELD1, FIELD2, FIELD3 FROM MY_TABLE WHERE STATUS = 1
UPDATE MY_TABLE SET STATUS = 2 WHERE STATUS = 1
Sometimes the message sent to Abap proxy has, for example, 400 records. Looking at runtime workbench, message monitoring, for the same message there is a log like this
Channel SENDER_JDBC_CHANNEL: Query executed successfully. Start update
Channel SENDER_JDBC_CHANNEL: 510 row(s) updated successfully
Someone has already experienced something like this? How can I handle this to guarantee to update only those read records?

Will this parameter serialization work in our case?
1. SELECT XBLNR, WERKS, MATNR, MDV01, BACKFLQUANT, STATUS, SAPTIMESTAMP, PITSTIMESTAMP, PMTIMESTAMP, BATCH FROM PMBPITS.PITS_UNITY WHERE STATUS = '01' and rownum<200 .
2. UPDATE PMBPITS.PITS_UNITY SET STATUS = '02' , SAPTIMESTAMP = sysdate WHERE STATUS = '01' and rownum<200 ( currently the value is rownum < 5 )

Procedure inserting different number of records in GT table

I have procedure, in the procedure a dynamic query is get created. Then query is open using OPEN for statement into refcusror. Then I'm fetching the data into record type object within a loop..end loop and inserting the records in a GT table.
But problem is for the same data procedure is inserting less records, when i recomplie the procedure it began to insert correct number of data.
I wonder whether is environment issue or something else? Please advise if any one faced such type problem.

SD extractors - different number of records in RSA3 and in the table MC*

After deleting setup tables and creating it again
for extractor 2LIS_11_VAITM
I have
in RSA3 - 64686 records
but
in MC11VA0ITMSETUP structure only 14857.
The same situation is for 2LIS_11_VASTI.
Where this difference is getting from?

The reason is that the MC* setup tables "cluster" the data, so there is not a 1 to 1 match in record count. Therefore, you shouldn't validate using record counts between the setup tables and RSA3.

Mysql query returns different number of records from coldfusion and navicat

I'm hoping that someone can suggest a basic strategy to debug this.
I have a fairly large and complicated query that is executed by a function in a cfc.
It returns (for example) 100 rows.
If I use cfdump and then copy and paste the SQL of the query (with the variables, of course) into Navicat and execute exactly the same query on the same mySQL database, it returns 130 rows.
Same SQL string, same database, same data - the only difference is that in one instance Navicat submits the query and in the other, Coldfusion does.
Has anyone ever had anything like this happen before?

Ok I found my own bug. Of *course* the sql queries were not identical.. they could not possibly have been. My mistake was thinking that they were.
The problem was part of the WHERE clause:
AND orderid in (500,503,505)
In the coldfusion code this was
AND orderid in (<cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="#lstOrderID#">)
which of course rendered in mySQL as AND orderid in ('500,503,505')
This was not immediately apparent as the cfdump returns this as AND orderid in (?) with the variable in the array below.

Incremental Counter in SSRS each time report is run

I need to have a header row in my SSRS report which is an incremental number e.g. each time the report is run the number increments by 1. Something similar to a hit counter on a website.
Is it possible to have an internal variable within SSRS which will increment by 1 each time the report is run?
It seems straight forward, but from reading other articles online, it appears not to be.
Can anyone advise?

The most i think you could do is query the ExecutionLog3 view and count the number of times the report has executed successfully. The problem is this log is only kept for 60 days default. I am sure if you wanted to you could adjust the period
of time in which the log is kept (keep in mind it is system wide) or you could pull the data out that you need incrementally and store it. Here is some information on the view.

I have to load hierarchies from r/3 to BW.when i test my hierarchy DataSource in RSA6 number of records its showing is 40,where as my R/3 system has 45 records for the same hierarchy.Can any one please let me know why its showing different number of records and how to overcome this problem.

Just load the data to the PSA and identify which records are missing, you can do this, u have small amount of data. Then you can identify which 5 records are missing and it will help to find the reason as well.

SQL help: return number of records for each day of last month.

Hi: I have records in the database with a field in the table which contains the Unix epoch time for each record. Letz say the Table name is ED and the field utime contains the Unix epoch time.
Is there a way to get a count of number of records for each day of the last one month? Essentially I want a query which returns a list of count (number of records for each day) with the utime field containing the Unix epoch time. If a particular day does not have any records I want the query to return 0 for that day. I have no clue where to start. Would I need another table which has the list of days?
