Correlation - Start orchestration

I have read on MSDN:
"BizTalk Server 2004 does not support convoy processing when passing in an already initialized correlation set into a new orchestration using the start orchestration. This is because convoy sets handle at the database level, independent of already running
orchestration instances."
Is it true for BizTalk 2010 also?
In this case, if BizTalk doesn't support convoy processing then why would someone want to pass a correlation set? What could be some scenarios in this case?
Thanks.

A Sequential Convoy is typically used to process in-order messages from a queue or debatched source. So it is highly likely that the first and following message will be routed almost immediately.
To accommodate this, the engine has special knowledge of the Sequential Convoy Pattern so it can route/correlate the message as expected.
If they allowed passing of a Correlation Set to a Started Orchestration, the engine would have to somehow know that is going to happen and without scanning the entire Orchestration, wouldn't know that.
In the time it takes to Initialize the first Orchestration, Initialize the Correlation Set, Publish the Start Orchestration Message, Initialize the Start'ed Orchestration, register the Correlation Set, etc. is relatively long compared to routing the second
Convoy message.  Thus, when that second Convoy message is routed, it's highly probable that the Start'ed Orchestration hasn't even been Activated yet and you get the no subscriber error.

  • BizTalk Correlation in Orchestrations

    Hello All,
I have a scenario in which in am calling an SP and it gives me a response. Now lets call the messagetype of Request Msg as Arequest and messagetype of Response Msg as Aresponse. There is a node in Arequest called ID. I am in innitialising a correlation in
Orchestration for that ID while sending the data to SP. when I recieve the response from SP I check if it is a 1 or a 0 if it is a 0 I have a receive shape with a following correlation of ID and a different messagetype say Debatch. If I get a 1 from SP I call
a view which will return a response with N number of ID. now I have to debatch for each ID to a messagetype debatch and then publish to the messagebox so that it can be subscribed by the dehydrated orchestrations (the receive shape that I was using for dehydration
earlier!) I am able to do all this but after debatching the orchestration I am getting a routing failure error in BizTalk. When I check the subscriptions for the suspended orchestaration the subscriptions are 1. for the the ID and 2 for the messagetype as
the root node of the debatched message.
    please help

The send would been the result of some receive? you need to initialize on that receive and follow it up on the subsequent receive. That is how a "convoy" is created. A "convoy" is what will help you create the "order" that you
want. A "convoy" can be sequential - same receive location or parallel - different receive locations and/or different message types. Refer
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa561967.aspx for Implementation Design Patterns in BizTalk,
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa561843.aspx for Sequential Convoys and
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa546782.aspx for Parallel Convoys.
You correlate between a send (initialize) and receive (follow) when you want to correlate a request to a response over an ASYNC transport such as Queues.

  • Encountered error starting orchestration

    Hi,
I'm new with OSM 7 and I have many issues not been resolve one of this is
    - after I created an order using "New Order" (Manual) and then Update (with status Submit) in CreateCommunicationsSalesOrderTask.
I received a message "encountered error starting orchestration". I used the CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP cartridge
and that cartridge where not modified except to correct the error which is "Add un implemented method"
and "removing the @overide in one of the method". And also this cartridge has "Warning" Health in the Weblogic.
Do you have any idea regarding this issue?
Do I need first to configure the cartridge or create an orchestration?
And also the order from CRM is always failed same with using SAOPUI
but when I correct the validation I get an error "Variable $inputDoc has not been declared".
I hope you can help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Ace

    Hi Daniel,
Here are the cartridges that have a warning osm_CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP_1_0_0 and osm_OracleCgbuSIFalloutPIP_1_0_0.ear.
Before the cartridge was deployed it have an error.
The error was fixed by following the Design Studio(Eclipse) suggestions.
The two cartridges have the similar errors
    1) The type OrderStateChangeHandlerAutomator.DynamicJMSTransport must implement the inherited abstract method TransportSubSystem.sendRequest (AbstractScriptPluginImplementation, String, AutomationContext, String)
    2) The method getJavaBindings() of type OrderStateChangeHandlerAutomator.DynamicJMSTransport must override or implement a supertype method
    - Also most of the cartridges have a warning, in CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP/model/RECOGNITIONRULE/SalesOrderForOrchestration.orderRecognitionRule the warning says that “Warning 1 of 1: The Order Recognition Rule "BroadbandServicesProvisioningOrderRecognitionRule" also has the relevancy”.
This is the error description from SOAPUI:
Failed to create and start the order due to java.lang.RuntimeException: com.mslv.oms.OMSException: encountered error starting orchestration caused by:Cannot find entity in orchestration model: [email protected]1cd5dba[name=Service.Unknown,namespace=CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP,type=T=ProductSpec@http://xmlns.oracle.com/communications/ordermanagement/model]
And for the "encountered error starting orchestration"
    <Error> <oms> <cht1003vm04> <OSM_Admin> <ExecuteThread: '12' for queue: 'oms.web'> <osmuser> <BEA1-63FB39D01BAC81281F99> <> <1311850752266> <BEA-000000> <completeorder.CompleteOrderHandlerEJB: encountered error
oracle.communications.ordermanagement.orchestration.execution.OrchestrationExecutionException: Error creating orchestration plan at oracle.communications.ordermanagement.orchestration.execution.impl.c.a(Unknown Source)....and so on....
That error logs is same with SOAPUI error logs.
I hope you can help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Ace

  • Use of Self Correlating direct bind in Orchestration send port

    Hi All,
I have seen examples for self correlating direct bind in receive side of orchestration which will be passed as parameter in Start orchestration shape to
get back the response. Could you tell me some scenario's where the self correlating will be used in send port of Orchestration.
Is there any other use of self correlation other than in start orchestration shape.
    Thanks,
    ChampBoss

If you want your called orchestration to behave like an API call i.e.; support a Request-Response pattern while NOT using a TWO-WAY orchestration port then you would need the self-correlation. How else would you respond to the same thread that called you?
    Regards.

    Hi Amity,
I believe you didn't do one of the following
1)you don't have a Product Class created "Mobile"
2)If 1) is done, You didn't map Mobile Product Class to any ProductSpecification
    3) If 1) & 2) are done, then check whether Product Class is getting mapped to ProductSpec properly during runtime, ie., check in OrderItemSpecification. I believe you need to create a DataProvider to refer the ProductClass xml.
    Thanks

  • Debatching and batching

    I have some questions here
1.How can we promote properties in pipeline component
2.Is there any way implement call orchestration functionality using start orchestration
3.Steps for debatch and batch the message .
4.My rules have been configured with the priority 0 and priority 10 in Business rule composor which one will execute first .

    Thanks for the reply
    For 2nd point
implement first call orchestration then start orchestration is in main orchestration,it will work , but  my question was  i am already in child orchestration(implemented start orchestration functionality) ,from here we need to implement call orchestration
functionalists,it means send caller back to main orchestration .
    For 3rd point
    Debatch
I have used envelop schema ,details as follows
1.Created employee schema and followed envelop schema creation steps and used error schema inside .
    2.created error schema(ID,Name and etc)
    Rebatch:
To Do this we need to use aggregation pattern ,for this i am using correlation concept
1.Promoted ID in error schema and created correlation set using ID(set name is ReBatch).
2.In receive shape configured initialized correlation with ReBatch
3.Send shape configured followed correlation with ReBatch .
here i am getting build error is
Error    1    message data property 'BasicXMLEnvelope.PropertySchema.ID' in correlation 'BasicXMLEnvelope.MultiEnvolop.ReBatch' does not exist in message 'RecvEnvolop'    C:\Test\BasicXMLEnvelope\MultiEnvolop.odx
     190    79    BasicXMLEnvelope
I  agree this issue because field element ID is not available in created envelop schema it is available in Error schema.
    any help

  • How to send EDI from WCF adapter to WCF service

    Hi,
    1. I have created an orchestration which is published as WCF service.
    2. I have created an orchestration which receives an XML from WCF client and process it.
    3. I have created a WCF dynamic send port.
Problem: From this dynamic send port, I want to send EDI file to a WCF service that will receive this EDI file. How can I achieve this. Below are my concerns:
-> For creating this WCF service, I need to know the contract of Biztalk WCF adapter which sends EDI file.
    Thanks ...

    Hi,
How can we create WCF service to receive the EDI sent by the BTS. What contract should be used for receiving this EDI file in WCF service.
What changes have to be made in the orchestrations to send the EDI file to the WCF send Dynamic port. Below is the code i am using.
    EDIOutboundPort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.Address)="URL Address";
    EDIOutboundPort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.TransportType)="WCF-basicHttp";
Please correct me if i am wrong
    Thanks
"How can we create WCF service to receive the EDI sent by the BTS. What contract should be used for receiving this EDI file in WCF service" - This is two different questions.
"How can we create WCF service to receive the EDI sent by the BTS"  - Using BizTalk WCF Services Publishing Wizard, the wizard would ask for the "Create BizTalk receive locations in the following application " for creating
the receive location for the message published to the exposed WCF service. Through this receive port/location, the service would receive the message.
In this case, I am not sure why do you want to expose the Orchestration as WCF Service when you want to send message to this Orchestration/WCF service (which after converting from Orch) through another orchestration. You could either use call/start orchestration
to send message from one to another.
"What contract should be used for receiving this EDI file in WCF service" - may be this question is not correct. You have created a Orchestration which you exposed as WCF service. So while creating the Orch you know the type of message this Orchestration
is bound to, so use the same contract. Or as mentioned in my earlier reply, use "Consume WCF wizard" to consume the WCF service which would create the web message for you.

  • Scheduled pickup and email of File from folder location

    Hi,
I have a scenario where we need to pick up a file from a folder location on a particular date of a month and send it via email to an email id.
For this, we have planned a design where I have a SQL receive adapter which will poll a table in SQL and return a boolean value indicating that the file is
to be sent on the particular date. This instantiates an orchestration if the boolean returned is true.
once the orchestration instance is created, in the next steps, I am trying to receive the file from a folder location. I am getting a build error here. Mentioning "you must specify at least one already-initialized correlation set for a non-activation receive
that is on a non-selfcorrelating port".
Can you please suggest how I can correlate on these locations.
    Regards,
    Ujjwal
    -Ujjwal

    Ok got,
If my understanding is correct, you have an orchestration with two receive shapes. First receive shape is for
SQL to receive the trigger message and in second Receive shape you expect to receive the message from Folder (file location)
since you have two receive location in your Orchestration you have a convoy and you have set correlation for your Receive shapes. Initialize the correlation set
in first Receive shape and follow the correlation set in another Receive shape.
But for your requirement, even when the flow of your Orchestration moves to the second Receive shape (which is configured to
file location) it not going to pull/receive the file into your Orchestration as you expect.
    As said, read the
schedule task adapter and use to trigger the file receive process on particular date of a month and have send
port with filter for the Receive port name (which has Receive location with schedule task adapter) and configure this send port to send email.

  • Failed to create componenetID error.

    Hi,
We are using OSM 7.0.3 and O2A cartridges.
In our one business scenario CRM is sending one revision order.
While creating this order in OSM its failed with below error message.
+"oracle.communications.ordermanagement.ws.InvalidOrderSpecificationFault: Failed to create and start the order due to java.lang.RuntimeException: com.mslv.oms.OMSException: encountered error starting orchestration caused by:Orchestration plan could not be generated due to unable to determine order component Id for order item: xxx"+
I think something is missing in incoming request but im not able to find it.
To debug this issue i have enabled debugging of class "oracle.communications.ordermanagement.orchestration.generation.OrchestrationXQueryFunctions".
And i got below things in logs. But there is not much inforamtion available about
    1. 'osmfn:ancestors("CommunicationsSalesOrderLine","parentChildHierarchy","CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP")' and
    2.osmfn:ancestors("CommunicationsSalesOrderLine","relatedItemHierarchy","CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP")''
So its diffcult to find out what is missing in incoming request?
Any Idea due to which fields these function failed?

    Hi,
I am facing exactly the same problem with OSM 7.0.3 while creating a new order.
Have you managed to find any solution ????
Which OSM 7.0.3 build are you using?

  • Receive complete SOAP Envelope as message

    Dear all
I have a web service that I have to consume which has a signature value in the SOAP header. In order that I can validate the signature with the message I would like to receive the complete SOAP envelope as (XML) message (<envelope>...<soap-env:header>...</soap-env:header>...<soap-env:body></soap-env:body></envelope>).
    I couldn't find a solution for this.
Currently I use the WCF-Custom adapter to receive the multi part message (xml schemas created with svcutil) and receive the body as XML file. I also know how to access the SOAP header in the message but I would like to know if its possible to receive the
    complete envelope as message.
    Best regards
    Jerome

Orchestration subscription includes value for BTS.MessageType context property, this mean you can't start orchestration with the soap envelope message type because the XmlDisassembler Component will discard the soap:Envelope content and the messaging engine
will only get the soap:Body content – so at the end of the process, BTS.MessageType context property will be set to the actual message type of content under soap:Body section and the orchestration will never start with the type soap:Envelope.
In case you need to process the entire soap:Envelope inside orchestration:
    Use PassThruReceive pipeline.
Define message of type BTS.soap_envelope_1__1 message inside the orchestration (Message Type > schemas > from referenced assembly > Microsoft.BizTalk.GlobalPropertySchemas).
Use Xml Document as the incoming message.
Assign the incoming Xml Document message to the BTS.soap_envelope_1__1 message.

  • Error with Run Program Service in invoke runbook.

I made main runbook (it do some things) and on the end i pute invoke runbook. In this child runbook i have
Run Program activities with Java srcipt.
When started this rb finaly i get error Could
not start Orchestrator Run Program Service service on 10.56.7.17 - Access is denied. (code 5),
but when manually i run this child runbook with any chaneges and this same date it works well.
In this Run Program i set that it ryn from admin acount but that don't nothing changes.
    Where is problem?

When you run it manually (with Runbook tester I assume) the Runbook will use
your admin credentials to perform all of the actions. When it runs scheduled or with an invoke from somewhere else it will use the credentials of the user account you've assigned to the Runbook service.
As a test, check which user is assigned to the service (via services.msc) and make that one a temporary local admin on the target machine. If it works, then you know it's permissions related to that specific account.
I give up ;), Yes, I testing by Runbook tester. But not shure that we understand :)
I  have two scenarios (i can't put images, i need to verify my account).
    1) One runbook. Exp. name" child. Inside is Run Program, that program is on different server.
Its work only when in options this activity i set local admin account from that server.
2). I created new runbook - parent. In this I put invoke runbook linked to that child. I do not change anything else. Now i will try run it (from tester, web console or scheduled) i get error
Could not start Orchestrator Run Program Service service on 10.56.7.17 - Access is denied. (code 5).
What I do wrong, what I think wrong?

  • Collect BPM - Start process and correlation in one Receiver

I'm using collect pattern based on timeout. Somehow in my infinite loop, in the receive step, I cannot combine "start process" with creating correlation and using it. All in the same receiver. When I try to activate my BPM, in the processing log I get, "start process" trigger removed.
Can someone throw any light on this....I've being trying this for over few hours now. I cannot get start process and correlation in one receiver. I must be doing something wrong.
Even the copied BPMCollectPattern removes the start process from the receiver.
    thank you,
    Pam
    Additional info:
The first message received starts the process within an infinite loop and activates the correlation "Correlation" by using IDoc message tyoe. Each subsequent message uses this correlation. The messages are received in the container element CollectMessage. In the loop the received messages are attached to the multiline container element CollectMessageList.

    Hi,
We are also in SP12. So start process is not a problem, because you are getting an Information saying that "start trigger removed" right? It is not an error.
Are you getting this eror "expression must not return multiline value" after your complete Integration Process desgin ? If So...
I think you are getting this error in Transformation Step where you are doing N:1 mapping. In this step you are mentioning Interface mapping right? Once you mention Interface Mapping in Transformation step you need to give Source Message Structure as well as Target Message Structure. According to my understanding you are getting error here. You can check these errors, while design time itself. If your entries are showing with Red Border then it is understood that there is an error.
So if error is here then I think you need to check your N:1 Mapping. In this mapping your Source side Messages should be 0...unbounded. Similarly in Interface Mapping also. Just check for Source Message Occurences...
I think it will solve your problem.
    Thanks,
    Moorthy

  • Getting started... orchestration and reverb

At long last, I am the proud owner of Logic Pro 7!
This program is so excellent. All the pro apps are eons above what I expected. Sculpture especially, but space designer too.
The main reason I'm posting this is for tips on getting started with the orchestral sound. I've got some orchestral sample sets, and i was hoping to get some starter tips on good reverb setups for them to get the most authentic, film-score sound i can.
Is there a site that offers downloadable space-designer IR's or other logic downloadables? presets for compressors or EQ's, etc.
I've bought Logic to score films... does anyone have any tried and true methods for orchestral setups. I'm really looking for what best string of reverbs works best, and sounds best. I've heard of using reverb on a certian section alone first, to put it in space (a small reverb on a violin section), then washing it with a hall reverb. Any recommendations? Space designer presets?
    Thanks!
    Chris

the trick is not just about reverbs, but also about attack and decay levels on your instruments and eq.
most sample libraries (including VSL) record instruments with the mikes too close to give an attack/decay and frequency response that resembles what you would hear from an actual orchestra. EWQLSO have addressed this but have other problems.
putting the instruments into a space relative to one another is certainly the key (including panning). the thing to do is to listen to a good film score, especially recorded by shawn murphy and listen to reponses of sections and individual instruments in relation to the their dynamics, note range etc and try to adjust your individual instruments to match this.
take for example a harp instrument. how would you hear a soft harp note compared to a loud harp note from the audience (or the OH stereo pair)? how do they compare to the sample instrument you've got.? for a start, from a distance the range between the 2 dynamics are much closer from far away than they are close up. the bass in the note dissapates over distance compared to the highly directional upper frequencies. the attack is not nearly as detailed over distance.
simply sticking different reverbs on or trying to find a "fix all" reverb will lead to frustration in my opinion. you need to do a lot of judicious placing, adjusting of attack and decay, and especially pulling out bass and lower mids. maybe even lifting the the upper mids a bit to give some clarity, all to push the instrument back into the hall. this will stop the muddying effect you get from using samples and leave space for your basses and cellos and other instruments that need to be heard in the bass spectrum.
so, a brief and basic setup might look like:
strings (ie all of them seperated NOT a pad and all adjusted individually) to bus 1 -> a little reverb
winds (likewise) bus 2 -> a little lower mid taken out, a bit more reverb.
brass (as with winds) bus 3 -> maybe eq'd a bit further than the winds and a bit more reverb as well.
percussion, bus 4 -> generally, because they are very loud instruments, they have been recorded at a respectable distance and sound right uneq'd. the timp is a different matter though, depends on what samples you are using.
piano & harp bus 5 -> have similar issues as one another and can be bussed with the percussion or on their own.
the advantage of doing things this way is that it makes mixing really easy because sections are often doing things together.
you rightly pointed out that you should have a reverb for the entire band to put them all into the same space. currently i still favour my outboard lexicon rather than space designer but it is absolutely brilliant. i sometimes use it as part of eq process for example with the brass or the percussion. but in the end i generally prefer it without. often less is more, and that is certainly true of reverb.

  • BPEL orchestration, correlation sets.

    Hi,
i'm a beginner, i have to coordinate those three projects:
is it possible with bpel 2.0?
i tried using correlation sets but bpel engine stop during the invoke in "proc.bpel".
i think it happens because "proc.bpel" doesn't know where to redirect its message (Auth first receive or Auth second receive?)
    Thanks.

    I have three bpel processes: Portal.bpel , Auth.bpel , Proc.bpel
the full orchestrated sequence of calls is the following:
    -Portal invokes first Auth
-Auth receives the call and then reply to Portal
-Portal then calls Proc waiting for a Reply.
-Proc, before replying to Portal, has to invoke Auth.
in this exaple, Auth has two Receive in its process: the first from Portal, the second from Proc.
When Proc calls Auth is not able to distinguish which Receve to point, so Auth.bpel process fails.
I've tryied to map the two different variables received by Auth (one from Portal, the other from Proc) into two different correlation sets, but it doesen't work.
    sorry for my bad english.
    thank you very much

    Hi Paul,
We are using a third party tool called UMT Project Essentials 2012, recently we have removed the tool from sharepoint central admin and uninstalled from the server.
We tried deleting some missing assemblies features web parts which are referencing to that tool but still we are not able to start the workflow and the same issue persists.
below are the log file for your reference.
