Corrupt File (Error 4) Please Please help!!

Hi All
My mac crashed (for the first ever time!) when my portfolio must have been on in the background and all of a sudden it's saying the file is damaged! i've tried the different ways of opening/loading/moving/using a different machine but still no luck!
Is there any way you guys could help me, i can't afford to buy the quark/id2q converter so any help would be extremely appreciated! (i reaally need this asap!)
The file is about 140mb, what kind of support/advice do you guys offer?

It's a violation of the license agreement for anyone to repair the file for you, it it's possible, but for less than the cost of buying two plugins and a Quark license if you don't already have one (you need both Quark and ID and the plugins for both to attempt a recovery), Markzware will atempt to recover the file for you. I have a scenario where i am writting data in a file in appending mode with filter 'compress' addition using open dataset, on Al11 for the first set of records it works fine but if this file is accessed again for writting data in next select statement ( its between select endselect),the file is getting corrupted, if i try to open this file corrupt file error come. can someone help.

Hi Gunjan,
Unfortunately, you can't do in that way. The behaviour of that OPEN and FILTER 'compress' clause is to create a compacted file, to be read later, but it can be appended... all your writes go to a pipe and when you close the file this is sent to 'compress' program or other filter and than a compacted file is created.
You can't go back and start inserting again after close it.

The addition FILTER must not be used together with the addition AT POSITION or for the access type FOR UPDATE.

Try this:
Open your picture file
Access the clone stamp tool
Hold down the ALT key on the keyboard and left click on the area from which you wish to clone, then release the ALT key, and click to place the pixels at the destination
TIPS:
It is a good idea to open a blank layer at the top in the layers palette, and do the cloning on this layer. Be sure that "sample all layers" at the top is checked. You can change the layer opacity if necessary
Use the bracket keys next to the letter p on the keyboard to increase & decrease the size of the cursor
Let us know how you make out with the error message now.

The log file indicates there are permissions issues on a couple of files and they are not being removed. This is preventing the installation of the new version. Please run the uninstaller, posted here Uninstall Flash Player | Windows, and post an updated FlashInstall.log file, and a screenshot of the files remaining in the /Macromed/Flash directory after running the uninstaller. Please only run the uninstaller and do not attempt to re-install at this time.

One of the most common causes of these errors is that you are using a higher version of the export utility compared to your RDBMS version. For instance, you might be using the Oracle 10.2.0 exp utility against an Oracle 9.2.0 database. Use the 9.2.0 exp utility instead. Metalink Note 132904.1 discusses the compatibility matrix between exp and database versions.

Why deleting ? It that only one way to fix this problem ?
What are the others doing in such cases. Or am I the only one person

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Note: Try these steps only if you remember the password so that you can authorize ADE again
1.Go-> Go to folder.
Go to folder dialog will appear.
2. Type ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions
drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:
