Cost center plannig data was deleted in production client

Hi All Please look into below problem.
2008 GP1 cost center planning data(KP06) that is entered in SAP Version 1 and 3 and assessed with planning assessment cycles has been mysteriously deleted from SAP.   The data is entered and re-enterd every month.   There are no line items in GP1.  The data is in GB2 to prove it was in GP1 when a snapshot of GP1 was taken to refresh GB2.   We need a root cause analysis.   Screen shots of GP1 and GB2 are attached for one cost center as an example
Please let me know your opinions and thougts.
While i am executing KP06.in Assurance i am getting Actual and planned costs values, but the same one while i execute in production values are displaying in Actual costs not displayed in plaaned cost.
Please suggest to me tables which which is

Hi,
"deletion" of CO plan data is possible but not "mysteriously...
Just copy an empty plan/actual version to a plan version containing plan data.
T-Codes: KP97 or KP98, the important thing is, the source version needs to be empty, copy "all data" and flag "reset and overwrite".
Pls. ensure that this T-Codes are not executed by mistake.

  • Multiple Analysis Period in Cost Center Master Data

    Hello  Experts
    My client did the mass change of cost center master data through T.Code KS12.  Here, few of the cost centers analysis (validity period is different) like cost center X - analysis period was 01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999, & Cost center Y - analysis period was 01.01.2011 to 31.12.9999.
    Since he did the change (through T.Code KS12) w.e.f 01.01.2011 to 31.12.9999, few of the cost centers created the mutliple analysis periods at cost center level ( i understand this is SAP standard behaviour)
    Now, if he choose the display of cost center - X through KS03, he is getting two analysis periods
        (a) 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2010
        (b) 01.01.2011 to 31.12.9999
    However my client does not want to see two analysis periods in cost center master data.
    Kindly advise is there any SAP standard procedure to revert back / SAP note which can coorect the same

    If there are no postings during that analysis period you can delete the same if not required to avoid the message.
    I will test the same if any other solution is possible.

    Well, it's a little late to reply to the original question, but I found this thread while trying to figure out how to do the same thing myself and thought I would update it with the answer in case anyone else stumbles across this thread while searching as I did.
    You can actually make a change in the valid from date by using a KS01 Create Cost Center transaction and referencing the original cost center to create the additional period you want to add. 
    In this case in KS01 you would fill out the fields in this manner:
    Cost Center: Existing Cost Center to be changed, let's say 1000
    Valid From 2007.08.01
    Valid to: 2007.09.30
    Reference Cost Center: 1000
    Controlling Area: Whatever the controlling area is
    In effect, rather than changing the cost center, you are creating the extra time period from the new from date to the original from date and referencing it to the cost center.
    The end result for us was that KS03 shows the cost center with the new from date and the old to date, which was the change we wanted.
    Not quite as obvious as a change, but it worked for us.

    I do not think that COEP contains the plan line items*. For plan line items it is COEJ. But as suggested by Christian the better option in case you want to create a report is you use COSS/COSP and COST. The latter is for activity type planning (KP26) and the other two are for cost planning (KP06).
    The transactions to view the plan document is KABP and line items is KSBP.
    * Christian, do correct me if I'm wrong. I was not able to see anything with value type 01 in COEP.

    Currently in cost center master data the field -"Person Responsible "is mandatory.
    How can I delete this definition-meaning make it as not mandatory.

    steps to configure ALE :
    1.first u hav to create 2 logical systems for ur 2 clients in BD54.
    2.then assign thm in SCC4 for both clients.
    3.thn crete rfc destination in SM59.create in client from which u want to send only.
    4.create port in WE21 for sender.
    5.create partner profiles in We20 for both clients,outbound for sender and inbound for reciever.
    6.now create distribution model in BD64.
    generate partner profiles and distribute.
    now ur ale configration to send data frm 1 clnt to other is ready.
    u hav diff methods like master data,change pointers,idoc extensions,idoc reductions,...... to send data .

    I done uploading of cost center master data through LSMW.everything is fine but I have one issue.
    I done Uploading from 4.6 now in 4.6 the cost center was created by some one else when I am doing in ECC 6.0 system automatically taking my name as default it means I can not enter in ECC 6.o that who originally created  it  and what was that date. Is there any way to solve it or system will take only mine name in Fields( ERFNM,ERFDT )at cost center History Data while creating Master data.

    Yes, system will take the creator name from the person who actually creates the cost center in SAP.
    It will be filled automatically and you can not change the creator name.
    This is to ensure better audit trail and tracability.

    In my (4.7) version there is a field for "Department".  This field is nothing more than a text field.  You can populate it with whatever you wish and use that field in a variety of reports.  One use would be to enter the legacy department number when going live.  Another would be to group several cost centers in some desired way.  However, if you are looking to group cost centers, the cost center grouping as previously suggested is a far superior choice normally since you can create many different groups whereas this field is limited to just one choice.  Another grouping available for reports is the Category, which is a one letter designation.  Be careful with this though, because it may be used to drive functionality as well.  Like P in my category implementation means "Production" and thus allows labor activities as a feature.

    Hi,
    In Standard SAP we are not able to change the valid date.
    I believe you should do delete and create another cost center with the same parameters and with the new valid date.
    Or....create a programm with Abaper...but I am not sure if it will fix your issue.

  • Problem while changing Business Area in Cost Center Master Data

    I am having a problem while changing the Business area in cost center master data, the system does not allow to change the business area due to the following reasons;
    1.  The transactional data already exists for that cost center
    2.  The desired date required to be changed, falls between analysis period 01.01.2000 to 31.12.2999
    Can anyone help me in order to reslove this issue

    customer is facing the issue and data missing in the table and I told him that yes there is a delete at 11-12-13 18:23:39 in table after seeing the DELETS column and timestamp in dba_tab_modifications, but not sure I am right or not
