Costs in order

Hello All,
can anyone please tell me how can I see whether the costs of order settled or not.  I have a PM order where I want to see the unsettled costs if any
thank you
Nivas

Hello Nivas,
When you can see one more status is added in the Order Status such as "VCAL - Variances calculated", You can assume the order is settled. Then follow the path in the Order GO To->costs->Analysis. To view the details.

I am looking to find how the numbers add up.

    Thanks Sridhar,
When I analyse the report S_ALR_87013139 - Cumulative , for a product for a period (with no scrap), I get the following
    Target (Deb) -   46,855.55
    Act (Deb) - 58,315.87
    Scrap - 0.00
    Var W/O- Scrap -  11,269
    WIP- 0
    Control Cost - 0
Here Actual - Target is not equal to Variance. What could be the issue?
Could you please tell me how SAP would update this report  with target & actual costs with respect to open production orders, carried over from previous periods.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Actual Cost of SFG/FG-Product Cost by Order

    Dear Gurus,
We have our SFG and FG maintained with Price Control "S". We have process cost by order scenario.
(We do not have the Material Ledger
Though it is standard price in the "Costing 2" Tab the moving price also gets changed based on the monthly settlements to process orders.
Any report available in SAP to know line item report of such materials so as to know the Moving Price apart from the material master.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Dhanurdhari

    Hi,
Check in CKM3 transaction for the details.
or click the button in the material master Accounting 1 view,MAP button

  • COGS determination for Free of cost sales order

    Hi All,
We have an issue regarding the COGS determination for Free of cost sales order. We created a free of cost sales order. But i need to know whether this sales order items will hit to COGS or not? If so how do i check whetehr its has been charged to COGS or not? and we have an issue raised saying thst one material in this sales order has not being charged to COGS. So please help me to solve this issue. Ihave checked the account assignment in GBB-VAX. And is there anyting to do with the settlement profile for COGS determination?.
    Thanks and regards
    Uday

    Hi,
During PGI a material document and accounting doc gets created which would hit COGS account.
You're talking about one specific sales order in which for one material it didn't hit COGS account or any order you're creating now with that material has an issue? If its a specific material which has an issue always..then something is wrong with that material master setup. Also you can go to the reported Sales order--doc flow to the PGI document and check the accounting doc and if its not posted..check the analysis why its not posted?
And if its one off then I would suggest 2 options:
    1) Reverse the goods movement, cancel the delivery or if billing has already been done..cancel the billing as well. And re-do the cycle. This always ensures correct posting.--> Recommended option.
    2) Manual adjustment in FI.
And settlement profile is Controlling concept..not sure you would get any help on this in this forum.

  • Description on product cost by order.

Can anyone give me a example of differenct product cost ?
    1) product cost by order and product cost by sales order ?
Also what is the difference between those two production order.

    Hi,
In the SAP standard (as per the transaction codes indicated by you) it is not possible to include multiple plants. Either you have to execute for one Plant or for all plants. Probably, in Test run you can execute for all Plants and check the results, and then decide.
    Thanks

  • CO02. Product Cost by Order.

    Hi All.,
When i am doing the Product cost by order for PP Production Order through CO02, it is giving the details of Itemization of cost for only Raw Materials.
Then what about the Production Costs...or at this level.......cant we get the cost of production, production overheads....and also the material overhead.
Please provide information to clarify this doubt....
    Thanks

    Hi Arun.,
Thx for your reply, but what i am asking is different frrom the actual cost line items.
At the order level, when we are checking costs....only Raw material costs are picking, then what about the other costs like
             Material Overheads,
            Production Costs & Overheads.......
    Thanks......

  • REM profile Product Type - Cost Collector Order Type

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a Repetitive Manufacturing Profile, at that time standard Production Type PKMN is automatically arriving from table V_T437S_GES.
and I would like to assign the cost collector order type (self defined) to the REM profile which I am going to create.
where I need to assign the cost collector order type for production type "PKMN" while creating REM profile.
If I copy the exisiting REM profile and I am able to get the cost collector order type  that I am able to see in TABLE : T437S (Repetitive Manufacturing Profile Table). If I create the REM profile newly, I am unable to get the cost collector order type in the table T437S.
So please guide to the self defined cost collector order type for newly creating REM profile.
    Thanks in Advance

    Madhan,
Order type "PKMN", is internally defined by SAP. Forr all cost accounting purpose, we would be using standard order type "RM01" when creating a new product cost collector for material. If required you can create your own order type say "ZM02" using transaction KOT2, please remmember you need to create with order category "05"- Product Cost Collectors.
This new Order type can be used when we are creating product cost collectors for a material.
I really dont find a reason why a new Order type is required to be created. Can you explain why?

    Prasobh

  • Product Cost by Period and Product Cost by Order

    Hi,
For one client can we go for a group of materials(FERT) with Product Cost by Period and for some other group of materials materials (FERT) Product Cost by Order.
My question is can both the concepts be used simultaniously for one client?
Any difficultieis if you follow both the concepts simultaniously.
I Would greatly appreciate your replies.
    Thanks!!!
    -Kumar

    Hi
You can very well use both the scenarios at same time.. Absolutely no issues with it...
Ensure that your Prod order types are separate for both the scenarios....
Prod Order type for Cost by order will have FUL as settlement type and the order type for Cost by period will have PER....
So, your user in shop floor needs to have that discipline of selecting the correct order type..
If your identification is based on some field like Material group, you can also put a custom ABAP check which wil give an error message incase wrong order type is chosen
For eg: Mat group ABC is allowed for cost by order... Order type for cost by order is Say, ZPP1... Your ABAP code can check if Mat group  is ABC and order type is not ZPP1, then issue an error message
To put this check, use BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE

  • Shipping cost at order level

    Hi all!
I have a problem regarding shipment cost in order.
I know that i can have shipment info in order, with path EXTRAS -- > SHIPMENT COST INFORMATION. (and that's ok).
But if i want insert the result of this simulation in PRICING PROCEDUREat the order level,
its going to log and if i open LOG.
its saying no delivery is created so there is no shipping document.
    regrds,
    balaji

    Dear Alba,
This is only simulation of the shipment cost to choose the better shippiment type(better shipment service at low cost).
Shipment cost no need not enter in the sales order price.
This will again get calculate when you create shipment cost document (VI01) with reference to the shipment document.
The shipment cost will calculate based on the pricing settings under Shipment cost.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Reg:Product Costing  by order Configuration

    HI all,
How to configure Product Costing by order.
plz send me the configuration steps.
    regards
    JK

We have  a make-to-order (sales orders) scenario where standard cost estimate is updated in material master as standard price for finished products. We use CK40N to update the price.
We also have a make-to-order ( projects) where we do run standard cost estimate in CO version 1 but do not update  standard price in material master.  The standard price is zero in material master , before GR from production.
In a make-to-order scenario , you can choose to implement  to update or not update standard price in material master.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Creation of a new costing variant to cost production orders

    Hi all,
Currently the business is only able to cost a vehicleu2019s production order at the standard cost value which is determined at the start of the year.
During the year a number of the purchasing values will be updated with a new contract price, this increase will not be reflected in the standard cost until the end of the year.
The business would like a new costing variant which will cost an already created vehicle in SAP by its production order at the u201CCurrent Costu201D (current purchasing info record value).
It will need to be calculated in the following way:
u2022Purchased material - at purchase cost from info record (see below for applicable exchange rate).
u2022Manufactured material - child material to be at purchase cost (from info record). Routing cost (labour\overhead, etc) at current criteria.
u2022No allowance for CPI.               [WHAT_ DOES_CPI_MEAN_?]
    u2022Exchange rate: ideally, fields are provided to input exchange rate. If this is not possible then apply current monthu2019s exchange;
u2022FRAu2019s - current rate from the info record.
u2022Summary of total material cost by origin code with ability to drill down to line level.
u2022The output of the report will need to be similar to the layout of a production order but with only the current value displayed.
We have some problems to understand this request: we don't know the transaction which is used by the users to costificate a production order and what does it mean "CPI". We are not sure on the feasibility of the costing variant requested because it must consider both actual costs and standard costs.
It should costificate in this way:
(Actual Cost of Row Material * Bom's standard qty) + (Standard price * Standard production time (in the routings).
    Could you help us?
Many thanks to all of you, best regards.
    Alanis

You can create a new costing variant with  a valuation variant that points to inforecords for material prices. Go to OKKN t-code and create the required configuration and start using the new costing variant to measure the current cost of making vehicles.

  • Material costed, production order with no target cost

I've a case of production order and I don't where to find information to solve it.
I've a product A costed from March. Standard cost is correct.
I'm creating a production order now. The cost estimate is calculated during the delivery.
I've confirmed order by CO15. I've created a variance by deleting 2 items in bom of order. And confirm less than wanted on other component. But I don't think these variances are linked to my problem.
In CO02 and cost analysis : target cost of my product equals 0.
I've checked my prod cost variant and choices are : std price, L price from PIR, moving average price.
    Thanks for your helps
    Christophe

How can I see that ? I've checked that material cost has taken the bom during the cost explosion. Components are also costed.
I've noticed that target cost appears after variance calculation for product.
