I'm sorry for my English, I'm italian..well, this morning I buyed my new iPod (60gb) and I follow the istruction for installing software on so on BUT the videos won't get into the iPod!The format that I try to put on are: mpeg, quicktime, move and other but NOTHING!Then I restored my iPod but the software said "impossible to restore the iPod, impossible to write on the firmware" and my beautiful coloured display change into the black and white way with the folder and the exclamation mark...good, it is?
Now I try to restore the iPod with my boyfriend's eMac and now it functioned. BUT the videos still work into iPod and now also in iTunes!!!What the ****?????

I had the same issue, however I used this program to transfer ...avi,mpg,wma..etc...;

If the program is used the converted files will be in a folder called;

I'm pasting this from the Videora site, the settings worked for me when others didn't, enjoy:
Configuring videora converter
0) Start Videora iPod converter.
1) Click setup in the left nav.
1.5) Click the profiles tab.
2) Click new profile.
3) Now, configure that profile:
profile name: ipod
in the video settings section...
mode: MPEG-4 > CBR
resolution: 320x240
passes: one
bitrate: 768 kbps (384 kbps also works)
framerate: 29.97 fps
in the audio settings section...
bitrate: 128 kbps
sample rate: Input
channels: stereo
4) Click apply to save the profile.
Now, you're ready to transcode.
1) Click convert on the left nav.
2) Click the transcode new video button.
3) Pick your source video. Mine was an AVI from a torrent.
4) Under quality profile, choose "ipod", the profile you created using the steps above.
5) Click start.
Now you're ready to get the video on your ipod
1) In iTunes, under the File menu, select add file to library. Find the transcoded one. By default, the transcoded videos pop out under the Videora install directory.
2) Drag and drop to your ipod.
Questions/observations:
1) I haven't been able to get H264 anything to work. Is it broken? How much smaller than MPEG4 is it?
2) 768 kbps video was about 400 megs/hour; 384 kbps video was about 231 megs/hour. I could readily see a difference in video quality.

IX2 - Help to download the firmware to the new 2TB HDD

Brought me the other day StorCenter IX2, but HDD in it was outside (the first not cool plate and the second head snaps).
Gave money for the purchase of two new HDD. Accordingly bought a new HDD, put it into the box and plugged in the power.
Very much surprised once in the beginning to light up white and then red and nothing happens.
As it turned out, this device stores the firmware on the HDD and that he would launch it to install on the new HDD.
Please tell me how to upload the firmware on 2 brand new HDD at 2Tb each.

With IX2-NG unit's the firmware is loaded to the pre-populated disk(s). Only the IX2-DL model has the built-in flash memory for the firmware.
In your situation, LenovoEMC Support should be contacted if you are not able to boot from either of the original disks.
If you do have at least one of the original disks that can boot, you could follow this guide to try loading the firmware to the new disks you purchased. They will be able to advise you on what options you have to get the ix2-NG operational again.

From Kappy (note: with this method, you will need to update to the present OS version using the appropriate Combo Update from Apple Downloads.)
Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities (Installer menu if using Panther or Jaguar) menu. After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button. Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button. Then click on the Erase button.
Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive. If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive. The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive. After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Now complete the OS X installation. At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer. Instead just shut it off. The next user will be presented with the Setup Assistant when they turn on the computer just as it would if new out of the box.

I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

How do I update the Firmware on the Quantum Router?

So the Quantom router is missing a bunch of features the old action tech router had. Advanced filteringis gone, I am hoping a firmware update would bring it back. I go to look to upgade or check for a firmware update and that isn't there either.

The current Quantum firmware version is 0.26.29.
Firmware updates are automatically pushed by Verizon. If you have an older version, reboot the router and it should pickup the new version.

WRT54g V6, constant disconnect.. 2 week old unit.. upgraded firmware -- what the..?

I upgraded firmware to the latest(november one). I reseted both router and cable modem and all 3 computer using it.
I've tried something like 100 MTU number, and I still get the same disconnection problems.. seems the power LED is blinking while I get disconnected.
it seems this is a pretty bad router, that gets overwhelmed when you download too much on two or more computer simultaneously.
all my computers are using WIRED connections.
I need help before I terminate this unit with a large wooden club.
really need help, if linksys doesnt want to lose a customer forever.
ps:also -- whats up with the cheap 2mb flash and 8mb ram on this version? earlier version of this unit had 4mb flash and 16mb ram.. im very sad to see you guys downgrading with higher version numbers.. nice marketing!

I mean I tried 100 different MTU number from 1500 to 1000, with nothing happening..
I've sent 3 emails to support, they all say they gonna answer within 24 hours and answer to all 3 of them within days.......

HT3288 my track pad is jumping around all the time and constantly clicking i tried updating the firmware but the computer states all is up to date, the probleme comes and goes and I'm not shire what triggers it

my track pad will sudenly start jumping around the screen and clicking very rapidly, since te problem began it operates diferently from normal when ever it apears to be working correctly, specificly i can no longer grab items without removing the tracking finger from the pad before clicking to grab an item, if i do not it will procede as if i double cliked somthing, conversly if i disable the two finger tap double click i am unable to double click anything, sometimes whilst apearing to funtion normally it will scroll from side to side if i do not remove my thumb from the bottom of the pad, again these are during the rare instances its not jumping about the screen cliking, and reaking havoc on what ever im working on any help would be apreciated thanks.

You have some type of hardware problem. More then likely the battery is swelling and putting presure on the trackpad. The only thing to do is take to Apple and have them check it all out, replacing any parts that are needed.

Apple TV Keeps dropping , Just got a replacement today but does the same whats the problem

I went today to the Apple store in Fashion Center in Las Vegas , NV . Replaced my Apple TV Box 3rd Generation 1080 P and when the technisian gave me the new one told me if you will still have the same issue contact support? What a joke so they will charge me money to talk to them.

This is a real joke i Google my TV Box and saw that since 2012 they where having issues with it and no one had let us know.I kept restarting the Apple Tv till last night when it got on my nerves and Googled it and saw that there was a problem that was going on for Two years.

My experience is that the dropping connection looks like a firmware 6.x issue, whereas losing home sharing already occurred in firmware 5.x Actually, I felt that the losing home sharing problem was at least partially solved in firmware 6.x
I also know that the home sharing issue is quite complicated and may be not related to the Apple TV at all (but more to the network / sleeping computer / iTunes).

If I bought my Linksys in Canada, can I only upgrade the firmware in the website of linksys canada?

I am home sharing songs from my computer (library) to another authorized computer (library), the songs will import, but once i sync the iphone (4s) to this computer the songs are shaded and will not import onto the iphone, what the heck is going on?

I am transfering songs from one computer to another using home share. Both machines are authorized in home sharing. The songs import from (my) windows computer to the other (my wifes) authorized MacBook Pro, computer just fine. Once the songs are in the library and i try to sync her Iphone (4s) to her computer the songs ar greyed out and i can't play them nor see them under iPhone after sync is complete. What the heck is going on? BTW, the songs that i have imported are either songs i burned from a CD or songs i have purchased from the iTunes store, so they should sync no problem!? Help please.

If you look HERE on the little flash demo you can see in the LCD screen of the touch that this picture of the touch HAS EAX. If the touch had EAX and creative removed it just before selling it then it must be easy to put back in.

so i have a 1st generation 20GB ipod the big ole white one. i got it from my mom it has been cared for very well but it is old. i went to turn it on one day and i got this goofy lookin symbol that come up on the screen after the apple start up icon. it won't play any music or nothin. Some of the things that can result in this symbol are dead hard drive or loose cable connecting hard drive to the iPod's motherboard. Though, usually if you have dead hard drive, you'll get error telling you to restore iPod in iTunes (and restore failing with some strange numeric code). There could be other types of problems that can result in this symbol showing up. You could try restoring iPod from iTunes, or putting it into disk mode and checking if you can see or reformat the hard drive with Disk Utility (if you have Mac). See if you get any errors, and go from there.
