Counter of lines in query

hi,
is there a way to put directly in query a counter of the lines of the report without using a calculated cell in a workbook?

Have a look at the following :

  • User Exit for line item query

    HI There,
    I'm not good at ABAP coding and need some help from experts.
    Working on Line Items Query and enhanced the 0FI_AP_4 to include fields from BSEG table, the fields are:
    GEBER - Funds
    FISTAL - Funds Center
    KOSTL - Cost Center
    GSBER - Business Area.
    I used the below code to enhance the datasource 0FI_AP_4, and its taking toooo long to load the data, but its pulling the line item data into BW.
    Please find another code after this....its very quick, either in extract checker or loading into BW, however its not loading all fields into BW. Specially line items like Cost Center, Fund center and Fund fields.
    Please go through the below codes and suggest me what changes i have to make to work as it should be.
    DATA: L_TABIX LIKE SY-TABIX.
    DATA: ZADTFIAP_3 LIKE DTFIAP_3.
    CASE I_DATASOURCE.
    WHEN '0FI_AP_4'.
    LOOP AT C_T_DATA INTO ZADTFIAP_3.
    L_TABIX = SY-TABIX.
    SELECT SINGLE GEBER FROM BSEG INTO ZADTFIAP_3-GEBER
    WHERE BUKRS = ZADTFIAP_3-BUKRS AND GJAHR = ZADTFIAP_3-FISCPER+0(4).
    SELECT SINGLE FISTL FROM BSEG INTO ZADTFIAP_3-FISTL
    WHERE BUKRS = ZADTFIAP_3-BUKRS AND GJAHR = ZADTFIAP_3-FISCPER+0(4).
    SELECT SINGLE KOSTL FROM BSEG INTO ZADTFIAP_3-KOSTL

    MODIFY C_T_DATA FROM ZADTFIAP_3 INDEX L_TABIX.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDCASE.
    Below code is extracting data very quickly but not bringing data for all fields specially line items like Fund Center, Cost center and Fund fields.
    DATA: L_TABIX LIKE SY-TABIX.
    DATA: ZADTFIAP_3 LIKE DTFIAP_3,
    wa_bseg Like bseg.
    CASE I_DATASOURCE.
    WHEN '0FI_AP_4'.
    LOOP AT C_T_DATA INTO ZADTFIAP_3.
    L_TABIX = SY-TABIX.
    Select single * from
    bseg into wa_bseg

    and GJAHR = ZADTFIAP_3-FISCPER+0(4)
    and BELNR = ZADTFIAP_3-BELNR
    and BUZEI = ZADTFIAP_3-BUZEI.

    Hi,
    You can try this.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP
    Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at the level of
    the sales document schedule lines.
    The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine
    VBEP_FUELLEN.
    Thanks

    Can you tell me the function to find and go to error line automatically
    in Old SQL Developer(1.5.X) or New version ?
    I am really expecting the function in the SQL Developer
    because i have to spend long time to find the error position

    Hi <please supply your name>,
    Just to clarify the problem.
    When using the SQL Worksheet , when you run a large query or script.
    If there are errors listed in the Script Runner result window. You would like them made hyper-links, so that when clicked they bring you to the correct line in the Worksheet ?
    If this is the case you can add a request here at
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42626:46:::NO:::
    At the moment we report the line number. The Worksheet line number can be viewed by rightclicking the Worksheet left handside gutter "Toggle Line Numbers"

  • HasMoreTokens detecting and counting empty line

    Hi programmers!
    how can i count empty line in a text file which has the data?
    suppose the text file with data is as follows:
    =====================

    I tried following to execute "IO.print("Invalid record") line
    if(str.equals(" "))  / / also/  if (str.nextToken == false) /also / if (string.hasMoreTokens())
                   IO.print("Invalid record");

    check fm RPY_FUNCTIONMODULE_READ
    Check how it reads the source code and returns it.
    Use a describe statement to the return table
    or try this syntax
    itab must hold a field of char72.
    READ REPORT 'Y123'  INTO ITAB.
    lines_r = lines( itab ).
    also check in se37 for rpy*
    Also check the f1 for read report, there are many other options

    Hello there. So I hope I can explain this sufficiently:
    OUT OF THE WAY: 11g 4.1.1
    I'm going to simplify my data so that it is clear what I'm looking to do.
    I want to have a line chart grouped by date. Let's say monthly...this is easy to do if you are dealing with one specific date and some value you can build the series against with case statements. I've done that a million times.
    The columns of data I'm dealing with are as follows:
    CREATE_DT(create date)
    RETIRE_DT(retire date)
    MACHINE_TYPE(type of machine)
    So lets say I want to see a line chart where each line(data point) is a MACHINE_TYPE and each bin is a month. That month should be any machine with a CREATE_DT below then end of the month and a RETIRE_DT which is either Greater then the end of the month or is NULL(ala hasn't been retired yet).
    In the query for a chart which is
    SELECT LINK,LABEL,CASE()"",CASE()"",CASE()"" from TABLE GROUP BY ROLLUP(VALUE)I guess I'm not seeing how to be able to put these values together so that it walks month by month and figures out the values and puts them in the correct "bin" of time along the X axis of the chart.
    I hope I'm being semi clear as it is hard to explain this scenario. Nope. Clear as mud.
    If time is plotted against the X axis, what measure is plotted on the Y?

    on another note I built this table from the data:

    9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9     9      DataMvrUsing the function:
    create or replace FUNCTION ACTIVE_SYSTEMS

    var1 VARCHAR2(4000):= '';
    start_date DATE:= to_Date('05-JAN-2012','DD-MON-YYYY');
    end_date DATE:= to_Date('08-JAN-2013','DD-MON-YYYY');
    new_start_date DATE;
    BEGIN
    new_start_date:=trunc(start_date,'MONTH');

Sketch the required chart or mock it up in a spreadsheet and upload it as an image or PDF so we can see what you're aiming for.

    Hello Kyle,
    Thats because when using FOR ALL ENTRIES, it will delete the duplicates if the records selected dont have all the primary keys specified in the select query. In your first select query, the field BUZEI is missing which makes the records unique. Change your first select query as this and try
    SELECT
            bukrs
            gjahr
            hkont
            belnr
            buzei   -------> Add this and check

            kunnr
            vbeln

        FROM bseg
        INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE i_output
        FOR ALL ENTRIES IN i_bkpf

  • JDBC:Count Array. SQL query works but fails in JDBC

    Hi,
    I'm using the following SQL query
    "SELECT red.id, name, count(green.id) FROM red, green WHERE area = 'northeast' AND red.id = zid GROUP BY name"
    It executes perfectly from the DB command line giving me the results.
    However when I call it from within JDBC i am getting null values.
    My JDBC call ia as follows( Where lst is the above query)
    rs = st.executeQuery(lst);
    while(rs.next()){
    nidV.addElement(rs.getString("red.id"));
    nnmV.addElement(rs.getString("name"));
    nnumV.addElement(rs.getString("count(green.id)"));
    I do realize that many folks use Integer for count queries but I pull them with as Strings all the time so that's not it.
    The one diffrence between this and my other count queries is that this one returns an array (Vector) of counts.
    Any ideas?

    the problem is probably:
    SELECT red.id, name, count(green.id) ...
    nnumV.addElement(rs.getString("count(green.id)"));you can either use an alias for the column;
    SELECT red.id, name, count(green.id) COUNT_VAR
    nnumV.addElement(rs.getObject("COUNT_VAR"));or use getObject(3) as suggested by drclap.

    Hi All,
    I'm failry new to PL/SQL... That's okay; there's no PL/SQL involved in this problem, and there's no PL/SQL needed, only SQL.
    That is wrapped within a counting Block that is giving me trouble:
    SELECT
    WOCOUNT.Office,
    WOCOUNT.WOCOUNT
    FROM
    SELECT
    CASE
    WHEN "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" = '1'
    THEN '1-SUNDANCE'
    WHEN "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" = '2'
    THEN '2-GILLETTE'
    WHEN "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" = '3'
    THEN '3-SHERIDAN'
    WHEN "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" = '4'
    THEN '4-West/Central'
    WHEN "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" = '5'
    THEN '5-East/Central'
    ELSE '0-OTHER'
    END                                AS Office,
    COUNT (T1.BI_LMN_SRV_AREA ) AS WOCOUNT
    FROM
    /* Begin Querey */
    /* End Querey */
    ) T2
    JOIN
    BI_SO_DET_VIEW_1
    ON
    T2.BI_WRKFLW_KEY = BI_SO_DET_VIEW_1.BI_WRKFLW_KEY
    GROUP BY
    BI_WRKFLW.BI_LMN_SRV_AREA
    )WOCOUNT
    The sub-query called wocount only involves 2 "tables", namely
    (1) T2
    (2) BI_SO_DET_VIEW_1
    (I put "tables" in quotes because T2 isn't really a table; it's an in-line view. Judging by the name, I'm guessing BI_SO_DET_VIEW_1 isn't really a table, either, but it doesn't matter. You have 2 things that serve as tables, so I'll just call them tables.)
    Since those are the only 2 tables, you can't reference BI_WRKFLW in WOCOUNT. That table is known inside T2, but not outside of T2.
    You can include "BI_WRKFLW"."BI_LMN_SRV_AREA" in the SELECT clause of T2, assuming that doesn't make more rows distinct. T2 will then look like this:
    ...             SELECT DISTINCT
                        BI_SO_DET_VIEW_1.BI_SO_STAT_CD
                        BI_SO_MASTER.BI_WO_WORKORD,
                  BI_WRKFLW.BI_LMN_SRV_AREA          -- New column added
                    FROM ...Then, inside WOCOUNT, you can use BI_LMN_SRV_AREA like this:
    ...         CASE
                    WHEN BI_LMN_SRV_AREA = '1'
                    THEN '1-SUNDANCE'
                    WHEN BI_LMN_SRV_AREA = '2'
                    THEN '2-GILLETTE'
                    WHEN BI_LMN_SRV_AREA = '3'
                    THEN '3-SHERIDAN'
                    WHEN BI_LMN_SRV_AREA = '4'
                    THEN '4-West/Central'
                    WHEN BI_LMN_SRV_AREA = '5'
                    THEN '5-East/Central'
                    ELSE '0-OTHER'
                END                                AS Office,or, to save a little typing:
    ...         CASE  BI_LMN_SRV_AREA
                    WHEN  '1'
                    THEN '1-SUNDANCE'
                    WHEN '2'
                    THEN '2-GILLETTE'
                    WHEN '3'
                    THEN '3-SHERIDAN'
                    WHEN '4'
                    THEN '4-West/Central'
                    WHEN '5'
                    THEN '5-East/Central'
                    ELSE '0-OTHER'
                END                                AS Office,
    Speaking of saving on typing:
    Instead of
    WHERE
                            "BI_TYPE_SERVICE"."BI_PRIM_RATE_SCHED"='001'
                        OR  "BI_TYPE_SERVICE"."BI_PRIM_RATE_SCHED"='001NS'
                        OR  "BI_TYPE_SERVICE"."BI_PRIM_RATE_SCHED"='010'
                        OR  "BI_TYPE_SERVICE"."BI_PRIM_RATE_SCHED"='RHRNS'
                  )you can use the IN operator, like this:
    WHERE              BI_TYPE_SERVICE.BI_PRIM_RATE_SCHED  IN ('001', '001NS', '010', ..., 'RHRNS')
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Simplify the problem as much as possible. For example, you would probably have the same problem if there were only 2 o4 3 tables involved in your query. Try to construct a problem that only has 2 or 3 tables, and post only those tables, and the results you want from them.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

  • Count of lines

    Hi
    The following is the scenario.
    For EX:
    Plant............Article............Count
    P100............A100............1
    P100............A200............1
    P100............A300............1
    P400.............A400...........-1
    P500.............A500...........1
    Overall Result ...................5
    The above data is in the cube.
    I created a condion in the report to display the stock in -ve QTY (Keyfigure HIDE mode)
    when i exeucte the query the following is the result
    Report Data
    Plant............Article............Count
    P100............A200.............1
    P100............A300............1
    P400.............A400............1
    Overall Result..................3
    Now My client dont want to see the articles in the report, they just want to see the number of line items which are in negative so i want the following thig in the report
    Plant----
    Count
    P100................3
    P200................10
    . So on...Can we achieve this?

  • RSBBS Jump: AR Line Item Query to R3 Customer Line Item Display

    I am attempting to create a 'Jump Target' from the 0FIAR_C03 AR Line Item Infocube to the R3 FBL5N Customer Line Item Display transaction.
    The query that the jump is to be performed from an Aging query.
    The user will be running this query for all transactions posted up to and including the end of the previous calendar month. The posting date is provided by the user when submitting the query (via variable 0P_KEYD2). The aging report works just fine.
    Where I'm having the problem is when the user wishes to jump to the R3 transaction FBL5N to display the Customer Line Items. The user wants the 'Line Item Selection' in R3 to inlcude 'Open Items' (this button should be selected -- it is the default setting) where 'Open at Key Date' is to be derived from the query result in the Excel workbook.
    I have created the RSBBS Sender/Receiver Assignment so that it goes and retrieves the line items from R3 for the correct customer. However, I have not been able to figure out how to populate the 'Open at Key Date' with the end Posting Date (OPSTNG_DATE) from the query.
    I've tried every combination I can imagine in the 'Assignment Details' section in RSBBS, but so far I have not been able to make it work.
    Has anyone else out there tried this?
    If you have, were you able to populate the 'Open at Key Date' (ALLGSTID) field in the R3 FBL5N transaction? If you were able to do this, how did you do it?
    All ideas appreciated . . .

    I'm still hoping that someone can help with this issue.
    Here's a repeat of the original question:

  • How to Count schedule lines in IDoc ORDERS05 using XSLT Mapping

    Hi Experts,
    In a Scenario where we are sending Purchase order (ORDERS05) to SAP SNC using XSLT Mapping,
    where in we need to count the no. of schedule lines against the Purchase Order line.
    As in Schedule line segment there is no such provision, so it needs to be handle in XSLT mapping to count the schedule lines.
    Can you all please guide me how to go about the same.
    Regards,
    Nitin P

    Hi Satish,
    Thank you very much for the reply,
    as there is only Quantity and other information is maintained against schedule lines how we can count the schedule line repeatation against PO line ? Is that very simple as you suggested or some other consideration also needs to be taken.
    Please clarify the same and let me also know if there are some standard documents also for the same.

  • Fix table header line of Query in default web template WAD 7.0

    Dear all,
    I would appreciate if somebody could help me to set parameters to fix the header line of a Web-Item DataProvider (Query) in the default web template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN for the BEx Web Analyser. I mean I want to see the header line with the characteristics and key figures description even if I scroll down in the query.
    My idea was to create a second frame in the template and to fill it with the same DataProvider just with the header of the Query. The problem is that the performance of the query would be badder if we load two Dataprovider/Query instead of one.
    Many thanks in advance for your answer and help!!!
    Best regards

    Hi Dion,
    Thank you very much for your answer! I have tried to find a paramter in the web application designer to do that, but without success. Now I have included a new container with the same Analysis Web Item, but it does not function! May you have a better idea??
    Thank you very much in advance for your help. I'll also post my question in a BI-Forum as you suggested.
    Best Regards
