How to mainatin different country of origin and grade for article.

Hi All,
I have a requirement that in SAP i should have one article for e.g Apple ( i am procuring this article from different country and i have got different grade for the article) ,but at the same time i should be able to differentiate it through country of origin along with grade and size.
I can maintain different EANS for size but how to go about country of origin and grade.
Note: I cant have different article code for the same product.
Need ur help and valuable inputs

I resolved the issue myself and the solution is as under:
When we run the transaction 'MIGO" or "MIGO_GR", internally the system generates a Batch, which can be changed by the User at his interest to any number he likes.
And when this Batch gets created, we can have a Userexit (EXIT_SAPMM07M_003) called to update the Country of Origin (HERKL) as under:
if XXXX - Condtion here....
Populate the field HERKL in the structure BATCH_MASTER_DATA with the desired value
endif.
This will resolve the issue and we can view this Country of Origin in the transaction MSC3N.

Country of origin is not printing in Export Commercial Invoice for US

Dear Abapers,
I am using the standard form to print export commercial invoice. I am using the output type FUCI. In that country of Origin and country of final destination is not printing in the form. The structure V55ENAFT has the field URSPR_HEADER for Country of origin and BESTI for Country of destination. What I have to do get populate the values for those fields.

You may try creating /updating equipment data without entering the country of origin. Since this field in asset master might have been disabled, system will not allow to save data.

The Country of origin field is updated with table MCHA.
(i.e, Country of origin of the material, it is a key of the country in which the material has been produced. You are legally required to specify the country of origin both for export and import) And
It is related to Batch Management.
And
This information (i.e, country of origin) is used for foreign trade processing in different areas, such as in Foreign trade law and Customs law
And you can observe this field in Material master (in two different views: Sales: General /Plant Data (below Foreign trade: Export) & Purchasing data (in Foreign trade: Import) view
(the field is very much useful, in the case of Export sales)
Export: You prove the origin of a material by presenting the certificate of origin. This is issued and controlled by the relevant authority of the issuing country. This authority confirms the origin of a material and the required information with the certificate of origin.
(the field very much useful, in the case of Import procurement)
Import: The relevant authority of the importing country - usually the Ministry of Economic Affairs - stipulates which regulations regarding customs and foreign trade law have to be observed for the certificates of origin accompanying goods.
Note: Purpose
The above filed that is MCHA-HERKL is assigned to Field Groups and that tends to assignment of this field for the batch master data to a field group and thereby influence how the screen is set up.
-> In the batch master data, every field is assigned to a field group.
-> Field groups group together fields that have the same technical procedures. If you show or hide a field group using the field selection control, all fields belonging to this group are dealt with in the same way.

Restricitng entry for country of origin

Hi,
I have a material created in one plant and want to manually extend it to some 5-6 plants.In foreign trade/import data I have enetred one country of origin.
While extending the same material to other plants, system should not allow me for entering some other country of origin by mistake.
Any suggestion please ASAP

Hi Manoo,
When you copy the material just enter material number copy from & next system will ask you for organizational data there right hand side from plant & sloc will be there. Here you enter from which plant & sloc so that system copies entire data to other plant & system won't ask to fill in details again.

Today I got my N8 and when trying to choose the country of origin, my hand touched a different country and I canceled that but now I do not know how to get back to that menu to set the right country USA . Also, how would I check to see if I have Anna or not

New country of origin for European country" CE" Urgent

Hi,
I have to add country of origin code "CE" (Communauté Européenne) for the European community. From beginning of July it is no longer allowed to use "EG" (Europäische Gemeinschaft)
or "EC"(European Community) as short terms for foreign trade export. These both ISO-Alpha Codes belongs to EG = Egypt and EC = Ecuador.
For materials which are produced in Europe but the country is not defined, we have to use "CE" in the future. The printed text must be:
- In German: Europäische Gemeinschaft
- In English: European Community
- Swedish: Europeiska gemenskapen
- Finnish: ???
In material master in foreign trade export view in country of origin I have to add CE as the European community, but I am not able to understand how can I have a European community code CE for all the european countries as CE is not representing a single country.

Multiple Country of Origin for single outbound delivery line item

We are attempting to find an a solution to record multiple countries of origin for a single SAP delivery line.
It seems standard SAP delivery only contains the ability to store a single "HERKL" value linked to the delivery line. (It creates a customs master in EIPO and links this to the delivery header)
We need a solution to be able to record multiple of these values without the use of Batch Management.
The example below demonstrates our requirement:
Scenario: Delivery 1001
- 1 line consisting of 5 eaches of a single part
- When picking we find:
- 3 eaches which where from Belgium
-2 eaches from Germany
without splitting the line somehow we are not able to add mutliple values
Note: We are integrating with an external WMS system and interfacing in these documents using IDOC processing and therefore it would be very beneficial if someone could provide both functional steps (application side) and technical steps (function modules, classes, etc) which can be used

Yes, it will work if items are lot controlled.
(you can use the same logic if the item serial controlled as well...using Serial Number DFF)
However, if the item is a plain item, there is no direct way of storing and retrieving the attributes ...such as country of origin, supplier name, etc ...

BAPI to Update Country of Origin for Delivery Item

Hello All,
I have a requirement as follows.
For an Outbound delivery item (VL02N), I need to update the 'Country of Origin' (EIPO-HERKL). This will come in 'Origin/Destination/Business' tab under 'Foreign Trade /Customs' tab for the delivery item. Could anyone please tell me if there is
a BAPI to do the same.
I think this country of origin is not the country of origin for the material, because even if the material is having a value for country of origin in material master, the same is not reflecting in the delivery.

Update Country of Origin for Delivery Line Item

We are creating a delivery using the function module 'GN_DELIVERY_CREATE'. The data for the creation of th delivery comes from a text file. The delivery is being created properly using the above function module, but we are not able to pass the country of origin (EIPO-HERKL) with this function module. Is there any other function module with which we could create delivery function along with passing the country of origin field or is there any function module which can be used to update the coutnry of origin in the delivery after it has been created. Waiting for your answers.

Hi,
In the given function module GN_DELIVERY_CREATE by you, check the table parameter "XKOMDLGN" in tables, and check the filed SPE_HERKL (Country of origin of the material) in the structure" KOMDLGN". You can pass the value in xkomdlgn-spe_herkl for Country of origin of the material.

Hmm....I don't remember, if country of origin comes from vendor master into inforecord.
Country of origin is very very important for certain materials (especially some raw materials when used (by importing, for example) in manufacturing and circulated within a country or further exported out would need to disclose the Country of Origin of such raw materials used. It can be a finished product imported and distributed within the country or exported out to another country. These are legal requirements (foreign trade regulations) for preferential treatment..
When this product is sold, the customer would also request you for a certificate of "Country of Origin" for similar further requirments for his/her business. It is essential even when you handle duty drawback for imports to claim it back when you reexport the manufactured goods out of it.
Country key of vendor master: It is the country where the vendor belongs. All the communication takes place with the vendor in the language of communication that you maintain in the vendor master record for the country he belongs.
Even though you are importing from a vendor V1, the product being imported might be produced originally by some V3. V1 himself may be buying from V2 which in turn might be a produce of V1.
Manufacturer part number (MPN) etc some lousy stuff is available in SAP. Some how, in all the project where I worked, no client like this. I have addressed the requirements in a simple and easy but customized solution.
