Create/Access DB Connection Node via Ext SDK API

How do I create/access a database connection in Jdev
programmatically?
I found the top level Connections folder: oracle.ide.model.Connections in
Ext SDK. The documentation says "Top level IDE level Connections Node. Under
this node is where various datastores should be mounted. Examples of these
include but are not limited to Database Connections, Oracle SCM Connections,
WebDAV Connections, CVS Connections."
However, it doesn't mention how to go from there to access sub nodes such as
"Database Connection".
I appreciate it very much if anyone could post some pointers.

Hi Florian,
U'll have to create  table in java dictionary project if u r gonna use EJB's with wrppaer class i.e. ur java class which will reside in  your java project.
u'll have to give ur dictionary proj name to database-sources-aliases.xml of ur .ear project.(i.e. Enterprise appication project)
So it will get a connectin with Dictionary project.
yes you will have to import java bean model in your WD project if u wann give WD interface

  • How to get the current data and time of SCOM server via SCOM SDK (API) calls?

    Hi,
    I need to read the current date and time of SCOM server via SOM SDK.
    Is there a class in SDK that provides this info ?
    Thanks,

  • Why can't I access JMS connection factory via JNDI?

    I'm going through the JMS tutorial and I'm trying to get the simple point-to-point example (http://java.sun.com/products/jms/tutorial/1_3_1-fcs/doc/client.html#1056518) to work with the JMS implementation in AS7.
    I have read the "Administration of the JMS Service" section of http://docs.sun.com/source/816-7153-10/djjms.html#18990 and I have correctly configured:
    - a javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory under JNDI name "jms/QueueConnectionFactory"
    - a physical destination of resource type "queue" with name "Queue1";
    - a javax.jms.Queue destination resource under JNDI name "jms/MyQueue", with property "imqDestinationName" set to "Queue1"
    When I run SimpleQueueSender my JNDI lookup fails because there are no objects bound to the names I have tried:
    java:comp/env/jms/QueueConnectionFactory
    java:jms/QueueConnectionFactory
    java:QueueConnectionFactory
    QueueConnectionFactory
    The last line above actually returns a
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException [Root exception is org.omg.CosNaming.NamingContextPackage.NotFound: IDL:omg.org/CosNaming/NamingContext/NotFound:1.0]I have done substantial searching for this issue on the Net and here on the forums but have yet to find a solution.
    Is it possible to obtain a JMS object through JNDI by invoking an RMI/IIOP-based client without using the ACC??? I am going to next try with the ACC to see if at least that is possible.
    Answers much appreciated!
    Daniel.

    May be able to help if you are on win2k or windows. If so, I had to write myself a big note
    on this one, because it is very frustrating. anyways here's the note, and to my disbelief,
    it worked. I was using an mqseries provider, but the jms context has always worked.
    BIGNOTE: when using jmsadmin for mqseries, do not define ctx(jms), then
    Chg ctx(jms) to create the JMS administered objects on windoz 2k. It is
    Required for Solaris. So on doz, instead of define qcf(boltsQCFnotjta) from
    the jms ctx, do define qcf(jms/boltsQCFnojta) from initalctx. MDB wont find
    Q and factory unless you do it this way on doz.
    I can't remember if this is mqseries specific, or it also applies to Sun MQ. Kind of sucks
    because you have no visibilty of the properties of the queue and factory.

  • How to access a sharepoint site via the REST API in Python?

    I have the following site:
    http://win-5a8pp4v402g/sharepoint_test/site_1/
    When I access this from the browser, it prompts me for the username and password and then works fine. However I am trying to do the same using the REST API in Python. I am using the requests library, and this is what I have done:
    import requests
    from requests.auth import HTTPBasicAuth
    USERNAME = "Administrator"
    PASSWORD = "password"
    response = requests.get("http://win-5a8pp4v402g/", auth=HTTPBasicAuth(USERNAME, PASSWORD))
    print response.status_code
    However I get a 401. I dont understand. What am I missing?

    Try adding the auhenticatig domain to the username.  That may help.

  • Attendee participation status cannot be set to ACCEPTED via Calendar SDK

    As documented on page 3-41 of the Application Developers Guide
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B13866_02/calendar.904/b10893/sdkfxns.htm#1012531)
    the attendee participation status cannot be set to ACCEPTED via Calendar SDK API call storeEvents() if the user creating the appointment is not the owner of the calendar.
    Can you confirm that there is currently no other way to set the value of the attendee participation status via the SDK?
    thankyou,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
    An attendee's attendance status can only be set by that attendee. However, for external attendees who are not calendar users, the owner of the meeting may set their attendance status.

  • Could i save Database conneciton password information on CMC via BOE SDK?

    Hi,
    i have changed the DB connection information via BOE SDK(Servername,databasename,username,password,etc.),
    but it seems that the password was not saved.
    After sdk program running over, i still  need to maintain  the password on CMC if i want to schedule on InfoView or CMC.
    if i schedule the report using BOE SDK, i also need to add code:(just for run time of sdk program)
         cusLogon.setPassword("initial");
    or cusLogon.setCustomPassword("initial");
    May i save the password information on CMC via BOE SDK (not to maintian it on CMC manually)? or that is impossible?
    whether is because the security reason? or i don't find the correct approach?
    Thanks.
    code:
    newIConnectionInfo.setUserName("username-here");  //  this changing could be displayed on CMC -> "Database Configuration"
    newIConnectionInfo.setPassword("initial"); // this is of no effect

    Hi jinling xiang
    I followed your thread...on
    how to achieve synchronization after DCP connection string changed via sdk
    i have modified the DCP connection string using method: metaDataProperties.setProperty("SI_METADATA_BVCONN_ATTRIBUTES", new string here) via BOE SDK for java, and then
    checked it through Query Builder
    :select * from CI_APPOBJECTS where SI_GUID=' DC(DataConnection) GUID' ,
    it appears ok, the DCP connection string has been changed.
    I would greatly appreciate if you could help us to achieve the same ...we are on the same path that
    there are around 182 connection that is using Teradata R2 V6 DB Engine and we need that to update
    to the Teradata 13.
    If you could help us in sharing the API code that will be a great help to us.
    Thanks

    We are getting the below error in our production server & also other servers(UAT, Staging). Only option is to restart the OSB server.
    Test connection is working fine and able to connect the database without any issue. We have enabled connection leak profiling and also, provided the inactive time outs , still does not work. Need your suggestion for the below error.

    Its hard to say what is going on.  Though the message says the error is in obtaining a TopLink session, the exception stack has nothing to do with TopLink, and the error seems to be coming from oracle.tip.adapter.db.toplinkext.NameEnquoter.init() directly calling weblogic.jdbc.wrapper.Connection.getMetaData() on what must be a stale or closed connection.  This looks like a DB adapter application, so you might want to post this question there as they might be able to help configure your datasource appropriately for the application.

  • Can you create a Remote Access VPN connection to tunnel DMZ LAN and Inside Networks simultaneously?

    I have a customer that has a ASA 5510 version 8.3 with IPSEC Client Access that includes some of their networks on the Inside interface.   The issue they are having is when their mobile users connect with the vpn client (which is using split tunneling), they can no longer access their web server applications that are running in the DMZ.   Without the client connected, they access the web servers via the external public IP.  Once they are connected via vpn, their default dns server becomes the internal AD DNS server, which resolves the DNS of the web servers to the private DMZ ip address.
    Can a Remote Access VPN client connection be allowed to connect to both the DMZ interface and the Inside Interface? I had always only setup RA VPN clients to connect to networks on the Inside Interface.
    I tried adding the DMZ network to the Split Tunnel list, but I could not access anything it while connected to vpn using the private IP addresses.

    Yes, you should be able to access DMZ subnets as well if they are added to the split tunnel ACL. You could check the NAT exemption configuration for the DMZ and also check if the ASA is forwarding the packet through DMZ interface by configuring captures on the DMZ interface.
    Share the configuration if you want help with the NAT exemption part.

  • Can PS3 access NAS connected to an airport extreme n via wi-fi?

    We have currently an airport extreme n with two HDD attached. 1 is back for desktop macs and the other is general storage and media storage. The extreme is the connection point for all devices in the household. This is due to none of the devices being in one spot or near the extreme which is located at optimum location to cover the home. Cabling is not an option at this point. Specifically our PS3 which is our TV tuner, blueRay/DVD player and media centre. Only issue is I can't directly access the media HDD attached to the extreme using the wi-fi. Otherwise this setup works reliably 24 hours a day. The HDD is the correct format and so is the content. I have read that it is due to apple not supporting UPNP (sorry if I got that wrong). Due to other issues I've decided to upgrade the setup to add a NAS, probably a 4 bay. Reasons are for raid backup of media files and further expansion and storage flexibility without disturbing the media. Any way I can find lots of choices of products that say they fit my criteria. The only thing I can't find out or confirm is if the PS3 will be able to access the NAS media content if it's connected to the extreme and accessed by the PS3 via the wi-fi connection.
    Cheers,.

    I assume that you plan on connecting an Ethernet-ready NAS device to the Extreme. If so, then it should be accessible from the PS3 via either a wired or wireless connection to the base station.
    UPnP would only be necessary for access through the base station's NAT firewall to/from the Internet.

  • Can I access my Time Capsule via web, even if it´s not connected to a mac??

    Can I access my Time Capsule via web, even if it´s not connected to a mac??

    Yes, but the issue is the IP address. If you have a static IP from your ISP it is easy.. Or if you use another router with dyndns it is easy.. but Apple make it exclusive to their network so you can have loads of issues without a computer to function as a client for dns.
    Look up remote Time Capsule access .. there is plenty of info out there.

    Hi,
    While testing an OSB proxy ,which uses a multi datasource to connect to a remote database, from the sbconsole.I am getting exceptions and it is not able to create/access the TopLink Session.

    Have you created XA data source? If yes then make sure that in connection factory you are assigning the JNDI name of data-source in XAdataSource property (NOT in datasource property). Also make sure that your datasource is up and running and you are updating the dbadapter after creating connection factory.

  • Is there a way to create a virtual network using C# and the Azure SDK/API?

    I don't see a clear way to create an Azure Virtual Network using the SDK.
    I have all the methods to create the virtual network configuration, but no way to submit it:
    IList<string> VirtualNetworkAddressPrefixes = new List<string>();
    IList<string> LocalNetworkAddressPrefixes = new List<string>();
    IList<NetworkListResponse.DnsServer> DNSServers = new List<NetworkListResponse.DnsServer>();
    IList<NetworkListResponse.Subnet> Subnets = new List<NetworkListResponse.Subnet>();
    NetworkListResponse.Gateway Gateway = new NetworkListResponse.Gateway();
    IList<NetworkListResponse.LocalNetworkSite> LocalSites = new List<NetworkListResponse.LocalNetworkSite>();
    IList<NetworkListResponse.Connection> Connections = new List<NetworkListResponse.Connection>();
    VirtualNetworkAddressPrefixes.Add("a.b.c.d/cidr");
    DNSServers.Add(new NetworkListResponse.DnsServer() { Name = "TestDNS1", Address = "a.b.c.d" });
    Subnets.Add(new NetworkListResponse.Subnet() { Name = "Subnet-1", AddressPrefix = "a.b.c.d/cidr" });
    Subnets.Add(new NetworkListResponse.Subnet() { Name = "GatewaySubnet", AddressPrefix = "a.b.c.d/cidr" });
    Connections.Add(new NetworkListResponse.Connection() { Type = LocalNetworkConnectionType.IPSecurity });
    LocalNetworkAddressPrefixes.Add("a.b.c.d/cidr");
    LocalSites.Add(new NetworkListResponse.LocalNetworkSite()
    Name = "On-Prem",
    Connections = Connections,
    VpnGatewayAddress = "a.b.c.d",
    AddressSpace = new NetworkListResponse.AddressSpace() { AddressPrefixes = LocalNetworkAddressPrefixes }
    Gateway.Sites = LocalSites;
    Gateway.Profile = GatewayProfile.ExtraLarge;
    NetworkManagementClient netMgmtClient = new NetworkManagementClient(CloudCredentials);
    NetworkListResponse netlistresp = GlobalSettings.mainWindow.netMgmtClient.Networks.List();
    netlistresp.VirtualNetworkSites
    .Add(new NetworkListResponse.VirtualNetworkSite()
    Name = "TestVirtualNetwork",
    AddressSpace = new NetworkListResponse.AddressSpace() { AddressPrefixes = VirtualNetworkAddressPrefixes },
    DnsServers = DNSServers,
    Subnets = Subnets,
    AffinityGroup = "East US",
    Gateway = Gateway,
    Label = "LabelValue"
    I have also created the entire XML response and sent it to the NetworkManagementClient -> Networks.SetConfiguration() method, but it appears this command expects the virtual network to already be in existence. If anyone could give guidance, it would be
    appreciated.

    Hi,
    As discuss above , we have to create the XML response  ,before that first you have to
    GetConfiguration() details of existing virtual network.
    string.format("@<NetworkConfiguration xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xmlns='http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2011/07/NetworkConfiguration'>
                <VirtualNetworkConfiguration>
                <Dns />
                <VirtualNetworkSites>
                <VirtualNetworkSite name=""{0}"" Location=""{1}"">
                <AddressSpace>
                <AddressPrefix>10.0.0.0/8</AddressPrefix>
                </AddressSpace>
                <Subnets>
                <Subnet name=""Subnet-2"">
                <AddressPrefix>10.0.0.0/11</AddressPrefix>
                </Subnet>
                </Subnets>
                </VirtualNetworkSite>",Networkname,location)+(@"<VirtualNetworkSite name=""demodsf1"" Location=""West Europe"">
            <AddressSpace>
              <AddressPrefix>10.0.0.0/8</AddressPrefix>
            </AddressSpace>
            <Subnets>
              <Subnet name=""Subnet-1"">
                <AddressPrefix>10.0.0.0/11</AddressPrefix>
              </Subnet>
            </Subnets>
          </VirtualNetworkSite>  </VirtualNetworkSites>
                </VirtualNetworkConfiguration>
                </NetworkConfiguration>")
    you have to append the node for existing node with new values , i got it its adding new virtual network
