Create .exe from Eclipse Java project

Hi Friends,
I have a spring hibernate project in eclipse. The project contains set of library and config files. I have created Jar file for this project. But this Jar file doesn't recogonise the library and config files which is present in this Jar.
Could anyone please help me to create the executable file (.exe file) for the entire project?
Thanks in advance.

In this forum there are so MANY posts teaching you how to build an executable jar. Search and you will find. Also, search about manifest file.

    I never had version 11.5 installed but I had the create bookmarks option. I had version 11.0 installed and had the create bookmarks option.
    I'm still having problems installing Crystal Reports XI R2. It makes it through the entire installation and then a screen pops up telling me that it can not find "CrystalReports.msi". It is looking for this file in a temp file. I use the browse button and point it to the proper file location but it still won't accept it. The only thing I can do is exit out of the installation. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to do something special to upgrade Crystal Reports?

  • Has anybody created Iview from "Webdynpro Java" component in CE7.1 ?

    Hi All,
           Has anyone created Iview from Webdynpro Java component in CE7.1.
    Because the wizard that appears for creation of Iview has only "Webdynpro ABAP"
    component.There is no option to create iview from "Webdynpro Java" component.
               Althought in portal content--->Template folder i can see there is also
    another template for "SAP Webdynpro iview" which i think is for the Java scenario.
    But issue is, its not coming in the wizard.Can anyone tell me how to make it appear in the wizard ? It will be of great help to me.
    Thanks and Regards
    Ashis

    Hi Ashis,
    your deployed webdynpros are published under "web dynpro applications". just copy the webdynpro from there and paste it into the portal content section.

  • Running eclipse java project on command prompt

    Hi all,
    I have one simple java project and that is very well running in eclipse. I have added some external JARs to that project. It performs this job- it creates connection to server, and listens to the signals from server.
    My question is - how do I run that java project on command prompt?*
    I want to run that using ANT or simply I want to make a JAR file so I can execute JAR on command prompt. I created JAR, but it doesn't contain external jar which I added to the project. So I was not able to run that project.
    Can you please tell me any of the method - using ANT or by making JAR?
    Also can you be little bit more explanatory in reply?
    Thanks

    I want to make a JAR file so I can execute JAR on command prompt.This is very likely a good way to proceed. It is explained in great detail in Sun's Tutorial in the section on [Packaging Programs in JAR Files|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/deployment/jar/index.html].
    I created JAR, but it doesn't contain external jar which I added to the project. So I was not able to run that project.Yes - the jar file you create has to know about the classes and other resources in that external jar. Otherwise, at runtime, the program will not be able to get at the stuff it needs. Usually you don't include that other jar (or its contents) in the jar file you are creating. Instead you provide your jar file with a manifest that describes the other jar's location. Details are also in the tutorial.
    One thing to note is that Sun's tutorial provides a lot of explanatory, conceptual, material. To that end it keeps the context simple and transparent by describing the steps as they would be carried out by someone working at the command line. The Eclipse documentation and forums might provide a more click-this-drag-that "explanation". If you do follow the method in the Tutorial and get stuck, post a description of the actual commands you used and their outcome.

  • I m not able to create xml file in Java Project

    hi all,
    I have created one java project just to try with Ant Builder. I have created one class inside it. and now i m creating an XML file inside that project.
    But as soon as i try to create the File -> New -> File and give the .xml extention of the file this gives error into the project.
    Will you suggest me the solution for that?
    Thanks in advance.

    Assuming that you are facing this problem in NDS, here is the solution.
    Go to Windows--> Preferences --> WorkBench -->File Associations
    In the File Types list select *.xml
    This will display the default associated XML editor as
    XML Editor(default) in the bottom list box.
    Click on add button near the bottom list box and select Text Editor, click Ok.You will see one more entry in the list box as "Text Editor".
    Select this entry and click on the default button.
    Click Ok and close the preferences dialogue.
    Now create a new xml file.You wont see the error this time.
    Please note that this will treat all simple xml files you will create as TEXT Files and always open with Text Editor.You can override this behaviour with right click on the file and select appropriate editor from the "Open With" context menu.
    The error you are talking about is because the XML editor tries to check well-formedness and basic syntax rules for the file that you newly created, actually is a noce feature of the IDE.

  • Facing problem with running exe from my java code

    Hello,
    I have to run the exe from java code for which I m using Runtime and Process classes. The exe runs in the following way on command line
    C:/ myexe -j [now press enter]
    input sentence followed by ! [now press enter]
    And after this exe gives the output.
    So is there any way to achieve this programmatically in Java?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    I m confused .. how can i pass input to the Process through InputStream? I think it will need OutputStream for that.
    Here is my code...
    import java.io.*;
    class CallToExe
    static BufferedReader br;
    public static void main(String[] args)
    File F = new File("C:/Chasen.exe");
    try
    if( F.exists())
         System.out.println("Exe exists");
         Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
         Process proc = rt.exec("C:/chasen.exe");
         br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in));
         int a = in.read();
         System.out.println(a);
         String res = br.readLine();
         System.out.println(res);
         while(!res.equals(null))
         System.out.println(res);
         res = br.readLine();
    proc.waitFor();
         proc.destroy();
    catch(NullPointerException npe)
         npe.printStackTrace();
    catch (Exception IOEx)
    IOEx.printStackTrace();
    But it doesnt work as my chasen.exe needs arguments from stdin.
    The way exe works is as follows.
    on command prompt>>
    C:/chasen.exe -j [ Need to press ENTER here]
    input statement . [ Need to press ENTER here too]
    Then output is displayed on command prompt which can be taken from InputStream of the process. But I m not able to properly run this exe itself with all the arguments frm Stdin

  • How to Create .EXE from SSIS Package

    Hello All,
    Can you we create .exe file from SSIS Package in SSIS 2012
    Please share suggestions on this.
    Regards,

    SSIS doesn't create executable files.
    The closest you have to an "executable" is the deployment to an Integration Services Server (the ispac file)

  • Executing another exe from a java class

    Hi All,
    I want to execute another executable from a java class. I am doing that with the help of Runtime.getRuntime().exec(String) function.
    My executable runs for quite sometime and it keeps printing something to stdout consistently.
    I want to read whatever this exe is putting out to stdout as and when it is put out, not after the whole process has finished.
    Now, Runtime.getRuntime().exec(String) just spawns the exe in another process space and I am not able to get its handle, maybe I have missed something.
    Is there any other method/way to do what I want to?
    TIA
    -Satish

    Now, Runtime.getRuntime().exec(String) just spawns the
    exe in another process space and I am not able to get
    its handle, maybe I have missed something.
    Is there any other method/way to do what I want to?Acutally, Runtime.getRuntime().exec(String) returns a Process object. Use this process to "talk" to the program you just launched. For your needs, try Process.getOutputStream(). Take a look at the API for Process at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/lang/Process.html
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create context sensitive help and call the role based help from my Java Project?

    Hello All,
    I am new to Robo Help. I have created a Robo help for my Java Web Applicaion. My application is role base i.e some user's will not see some of the pages of the application. So I want to hide those pages in Robo help as well. I tried creating multiple TOC for different Roles.
    My Question is
    How to call robo Help from my application?(I will be calling using java script. If it is with RoboHelp_CSH.js where can I get that and How to implement it in my project)
    How to implement role based help?
    Thanks,
    Siva.

    I answered that. My point in asking whether it matters was that if it does, then you cannot use content categories and point different users to different categories and not allow them to see the others.
    The alternative, as I said, would be to produce different outputs for each role.
    As it does matter, then using webhelp you will have to use your RoboHelp project to produce a number of outputs, one for each category. Your app would install each webhelp into different folders and when your app determines the user role, you will link to the appropriate help.
    There is another thread running where it has been explained by Willam van Weelden that you can achieve what you want using browser based AIR help. If that form of help can be considered, then the thread is at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4914753?tstart=0#4914753
    Browser based AIR help must be run from a web server. It cannot be installed locally.

  • Creating setup file for java project

    hi
    My project has java files, properties files,batch files as well as two jar files,mail.jar & activation.jar(for importing packages).
    I have to include these jar files while setting environment variables.
    Now i want to make setup file for myproject to provide quick launch from desktop ,can anyone pls help me how to include these all files into a single jar file. and how to make setup file
    Pls Help
    Thanks a lot !!!

    JAR files can contain any type of file that you want so you could use the following command:
    jar cf jar-file input-file(s)
    (the c tells jar to create the jar file; the f says the next item is the name of the jar file; the jar-file should be replaced with the name of the jar file; and the input-file(s) should be replaced with the name of the files you want jarred).
    In general, batch files don't do much good bundled inside a jar file. If you really want a way to bundle all of your files and have them installed, then you might want to look into JExpress or one of its competitors. Full disclosure, I work for DeNova (the mfg of JExpress).
    The advantage of an installer over a jar file is that you can distribute your files plus create a native executable to launch your java app, set up an uninstaller, etc.
