Creating a hyperlink to send text message

I am creating a website in iweb.  My question is:
Is it possible to create a hyper link that enables visitors to my site to send me a text message?
Such as:
CLICK HERE TO SEND A TEXT MESSAGE FOR A QUICKER RESPONSE
The visitor would click and then have the capabilities of sending a text message to my iCphone.  Is that an option in iweb?

No, it is not an option in iWeb.
If you want to do this, then you will have to write the html link code yourself and enter it into an html snippet, or you really need to use a third party application or widget to allow you to do this.
Just as you have html links, such as the:
<a href= you can try <a href="sms: (insert your mobile number here)">Text Me</a>
This may or may not work, but most likely you will need to hunt around for a third party application where you can copy and past the code into an html snippet in iWeb to get it to work.
Remember nowadays, that nothing is that easy to accomplish in iWeb and iWeb is very old software and you probably need to look at re-building your site in more current software - just look at this forum for the many alternatives available.
It is not really a good idea now to use iWeb to build a site from scratch - you need to be using current and up-to-date software to do this.

  • How to create a "Group" to send texts to easily?

I'd like to create a "Group" with a name that would be easily available to send text messages to - without having to enter individual contacts each time I text.  Seems simple enough, but there's no place in "contacts" to "Create a Group".  Any suggestions will be appreciated!

You would have to use an app for that.  Some will create groups and allow you to send sms messages to the entire group (such as Speed Names).

  • HT4623 Unable to send text message from iphone 4 to a non-iphone.

I have just bought an Iphone 4 with ios 7.1.
And when i am trying to send text message from my phone to a non-iphone devices it just showing a green (text background & loading bar), but still after some time the message was not getting delivered.
As per the apple support. I have already put +91 for all my numbers even deleted & create new contacts.
But the problem is still there.
I have also tried to change the setting for iMessage (On/Off).
    So, please suggest.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did understand that part, but didn't get
wheather you could reply to a message you had received. I understood that
you could not originate a new text.

  • Sending text messages to email addresses

With my previous (dumb) Samsung phone I used to send text messages to email addresses all the time and everything was fine. Now, it turns out that when I send a text message to an email address with my iPhone 4 the phone sends it as MMS instead of text, and the problem with that is that my provider (Bell Canada) charges me extra for these MMS messages. I do not normally use picture or video messaging, but when I'm trying to create a message to an email address with MMS disabled, the phone tells me this cannot be done unless I enable MMS.
I can receive texts from email addresses just fine and they come in as text messages with no extra charges for me. How can I send a plain text message from iPhone to an email address without going through MMS?

Dododo, I have your same exact problem, right down to my last cell phone (samsung) that did it perfectly using only my included unlimited texts.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I think it sends them as MMS because bell sends the texts to email from the iphone as words on a notepad-like background that arrives in email as a picture attachment.
My problem is that I'd like to turn my 3G off when I don't need it, to save my mb's. Therefore sending emails right from the email app is not a viable alternative, when text --> email used to be free on my old, basic cell phone.
    Any suggestions/solutions are appreciated

  • Nokia X3-02 can't send text message to only one of...

i can't send text message to only one of my contacts... what happen? what should i do? help me pls... tnx...

    Hi,
You can send the other contacts SMS but not only one contact, Right?
Then the issue is with your contact, maybe the number is not right or not the right format.
So check your contact  number with number which you can send SMS.
Maybe it is best to delete that contact and create new contact which the format is the same with the others.
    I hoe this helps.

  • Why is my Z10 sending Text Messages to my Contact's Home phone numbers over their Mobile?

I send Text Messages as Chats (sent to multiple recipients which I can then later send subsequent messages to) because as far as I know there isn't a way to setup a Distribution Group with the Z10.
When I select Compose, and then select a Contact, it is selecting some Home phone numbers instead of their Mobile. WHY?
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Can't send text messages (can only recieve). How do I change Service Center Number

Hello. As my subject states, i can't seem to send text messages (but i can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that i need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." but "service center" does not appear when i go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do i find this?

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

    Hi LASalem,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPhone is not sending/receiving messages to certain devices the way your would expect. To begin the troubleshooting process, I suggest working through the troubleshooting information in the attached article.

  • After I upgraded my iphone 4 with the ios 7.1.1 it locks up sending text messages.  It will send a few, then mid conversation I will have to turn my phone off and back on, sometimes a few times, before it will allow me to send or receive messages again.

After I upgraded my Iphone 4 with the ios 7.1.1 it locks up while sending text messages.  I can usually send a few then will have to restart my phone(often more than once) to get it to send and receive messages again.  I have done a back up and complete reset and that has not fixed the problem.    Have been told that the ios 7.1.1 just isn't compatible with the Iphone 4 so that's why it is locking up so often, but I am hoping someone else may have a better answer since it can't be undone.  Thanks!

7.1.1 is certainly compatible with the iPhone 4. Just try a reset first.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • Is there a way to block someone from sending Text Messages ONLY?

I would like to block a family member from sending text messages but I do not want to restrict calling abilities in case of an emergency.
I have gone to My Verizon>>Safeguards but this option only seems to allow you to block on an "All or Nothing" basis.
Is there a way to prevent someone from sending you text messages while still allowing phone calls?

Thanks for your response. I have an I Phone (I Messages) but the party that I want to block does not have an I Phone.
