Creating a Link to a Page on my site

I have bought a company and I got this MacBook and there is a Website built on iWeb. The Website is
www.crossfitmyrtlebeach.com
Under Trainers there are 3 trainers showing. I added the 3rd trainer, Sean. But the other 2 trainers have a link where you can learn more. When you click on it it takes you to a page with more information and that link is the only way to the page. I want to set one of these up for Sean. How do I do this?

I have an urgent requirement of creating a link to web page (URL) to a billing document.
I call the function module "GOS_EXECUTE_SERVICE" with :
ip_service = 'URL_CREA'
is_object-objkey = no billing document
is_object-objtype = 'VBRK'
is_object-logsys = 'BO'
ip_rwmode = 'E'
Then, I enter the title and the address.
And, I have the message : "The attachment was successfully created".
But when there's nothing in the attachment list of the billing document.
(Tha table SOOD contains the record )
If any one has some idea about his , how to achieve this functionality, can you please help me.

Want to create a link on seeded page which can pass the values of LOVs

Hi,
I have a seeded page.. and i want to create a Link on the page which will redirect to new custom page...
When user clicks on the link, the values of some LOVs should be forwarded on the custom page......
I created a link through personalization... But I have doubt about how to attach the values of LOVs through url....
Is it possible to do the same???

Yes the LOVs are created through personalization....
Since i dint want to touch the code... so i created everything through personalization.....
The only problem now is to get the values of these LOVs in URL....
Is there no other method other then extension to do this???

How to automatically create a list of all pages on a site?

Greetings,
I am trying to find a way to create a list of all pages in a site folder.
Site map creators don't do this. They only list pages that are linked on other pages.
The point of making a list is to create a page of links to all pages.

The main advantage of a server side solution is that it's dynamic - as you add pages the links would update automatically. Otherwise you will need to manually manage this page.

Create a link to a page from a report query

I have done this 10s of times but for some reason its not working this time.
I am creating a link in a report sql query region. When the user clicks on one of the rows in the sql rpt region, it will take them to the page where they can edit the record selected. I select edit the report attribute in the report region, then select the column that will display as the link. It is the column that is the pk(app_id).
I go to the column link section. I enter the target page(8), select what icon to display, enter the item name that is the target for a value in page 8(P8_APP_ID).
And finally I enter the value that will be copied to P8_APP_ID. That is I enter #APP_ID#(row item from source page). I then run the page and click a row in the rept region(page 6). HOwever I get an error of ORA-01403: no data found. I look at what value was copied into the targe page item and its not what I expected.
I go back and verify I set up the link correctly but this is what I see for the page item and value to link to and copy its value.
Instead of P8_APP_ID and #APP_ID# as I entered, the #APP_ID# is getting changed to &APP_ID. I can't figure out why this is happening!!! Every time I enter
#APP_ID#, APEX is changing it to &APP_ID.
Any ideas folks?

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me to use your own APP_ID. APP_ID is already the application ID of the current application.
Give app_id in your query an alias and see if that works.

I need to create a link on a page, while hiding it from the options

I am making a website for my work, which is a glass company. The options at the top to click on will be home, commercial, residential, and contact us. When you click on residential i would like to have links for windows, shower doors, ect. I want to be able to click on windows and it go to another page to show information about them, the same thing with shower doors, ect. but i don't want thoes titles to be at the top of the page. Is this possible.

What you're referring to is a drop down menu. Those can't be created normally in iWeb. They can be added to a iWeb page but require an HTML snippet and javascript. Some possible javascript solutions have been posted in this forum. Search for drop down menu. Also do a Google search for drop down menu to get a number of sites with possible solutions.
Or, you can create a separate Residential page and put photos of windows, shower doors, etc. on it and use them as links to the pages for the windows, shower doors. Those pages don't have to be included in the navbar. You can turn it off in the Inspector/Page/Page pane.

You can use the Hyperlink Feature and link a bookmark, please follow these instructions :
1) Place your cursor at the Destination Point and insert a Bookmark :
2) Give a name to that Bookmark :
3) Select that Text on which the user will click (Right Click -> Insert Hyperlink)
4) Select that Bookmark which you inserted a while ago

Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. I need to know how to create multi-links on 300 page docs

I need to know how to create multi-links on a 300 page document, showing "return to main Menu". Ideally placed on the bottom right of each page. I have adobe acrobat Professional.

Import a picture to be a button, place it, activate HYPERLINK tool, draw a rectangle around the whole button, in the window popping up select the link behaviour, submit with OK.
Then copy & paste the button object to every page. I don't know whether pasting it on every of the 300 pages can be automated, but if not, it is still done quite fastly.

Can't create multiple links on same page

This is odd...when editing a page in Contribute, I can create
a link (of any type), but when I go to create another link, I get
the error "You are not allowed to perform that action....". (We are
in Contribute 3.11 and using DW templates with very simple editable
regions.) However, if I publish the page then go back into Edit
mode, I can create the second link! But then the same error occurs
if I try (right away) to create a third link.
This is frustrating and I can't imagine I have to publish the
stupid page after every link. Anyone have any ideas as to why this
might by happening? Thanks in advance!

Link for text page on Flash site

How do I create a text page for my Flash site to enable
"crawlers" to find it? Because my site is all Flash
(ctmgroupinc.com) web browsers can't find it. I was told a text
page can be created and linked to the site. This will allow
crawlers to find the key words. Does anyone know how to create
this? Is there a template I can start with? I'm html coding
challenged.

How to create a link to a page in Portal

I have a portal application that has a page with multiple
portlets in it. On one of the reports i want a link that will
rerun the same page but with the value you clicked on returned
through the parameter list to be used with a bind variable for
that report. What is the proper way to do this?

Max, yes it should be possible. What you would need to do is
set up your query like this:
select
column,
link_to_function,
more_columns
from table
where
column = get_value_from_session
what link_to_function would do is create an HTML link to a
function (we'll call it save_value_to_session). That function
will save the parameter you want to the the global session, and
then do a refresh of the page you are on. When the page
refreshes, get_value_from_session will pull the right value from
the session and base the query off of that.
I just put another post up about how to link forms and reports
on the same page. The sql code you would use would be very
similar to some of that. let me know if you have any questions

How to create dynamic links in one page with div panels

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 with developer toolbox.
I have a PHP page where I have two separated tabbed div
panels.
I want to show dynamic summary of data from database in one
panel.
In the other panel I have a table with dynamic text.
I want to click on a link in the first panel with the summary
data and see the whole record in the other panel table.
How do I tell the dynamic link to send the wuery and show the
data in the detailed panel without having to reload the whole page.

Webapps. How can I create a link to a page instead of showing the details-view

I want my client to define what page a webapp shall point to in list-view, instead of showing the details view, but I cant figure out how. I have tried this, but it seams that tags don't work inside links:

The problem is the format of your tag. If your field name in the web app is "My Custom Link" then your tag is {tag_My Custom Link} (note the spaces).
Cedric is right though, make sure the field is a textfield and not a hyperlink field in your web app. If you use BC's new "Develop" tab up top you can navigate to your web app detail layout in /Layouts/Web Apps/<yourwebapp> and find "list.html". Then, you can use the toolbox on the right (click the data tab) to insert tags without having to guess. You can choose your custom field and insert the tag.

Menus created using manual won't link to other Pages

Created a site and had a menu created using manual which was linked to sub pages within the site. The menu was for specific pages not requiring access from the sites top level menu.
The menu was working but now it is not possible to edit or replace the menu as there does not seem to be any way of adding the link to the required page. The dropdown box to the side of hyperlink stays greyed out and can't be accessed. This is only happening to links added using the menu widget under manual, ordinary text links seem to be OK.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Confirm that there are no objects overlaying the navbar. How did you change the background, from the Inspector/Page/Layout pane?

How to Create Blank pages & no links for more pages

Hello,
just started using iweb ...is there a way to create a blank page not associated with pictures, podcasts movies etc and I want to create a site with multiple picture pages but i dont want a link for every single page on my heading or that area between my header and the body.
whats happening right now is there is a link for every page in my site on the heading if i keep this up my heading will look like a big paragraph

If you want a page not to be displayed in the navigational menu, then just click on the Inspector and click on the Page tab (second from the left). Under the name of the page (which you can also change here) there is a box to include page in navigation menu. Just uncheck that box and your page won't show up. Of course, I assume you will have a link to the undisplayed page(s) from other pages that are in the menu.
