Creating delay before navigating to another page

All,
i am trying to create a popup with loading image on a page such that if you load this page the "loading... image in small div is displayed like for few 2-3 seconds then the page automatically navigates to another page and pass one parameter value.
here is what i did:
1. added a popup div in my page header and within iam referencig <img src=#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#loading.gif /> this works correct when the pages loads
2. created DA to submit the "NEXT" button,
the problem is that #2 is firing so fast before the iamge is loaded or seen,
so how to make changes so #1 runs for 2-3 secs then #2 executes to go to target page ?

I use the jQuery plugin called blockUI (jQuery BlockUI Plugin)
It basically blocks and darkens the screen (and shows a "loading" animated gif) while the next page is loaded and prevent users from accidentally double-clicking any buttons.
Or from further interacting with the page when they shouldn't be,
eg the IE progress bar is located at the bottom of the page and not plainly visible.
The other benefit is that it actually informs the user than something is happening, rather than staring at a "stuck" screen.

Hi All,
I have implemented a line graph in ADF with "dept no"(in x-axis) and "avg sal"(in y-axis). When I am going to run only this graph page, its showing proper data.
But,when I am trying to navigate from another jspx page (which is under some package) to this graph page, the graph is not getting displayed(graph image is not getting displayed).
In my project I am following package structure for jspx and backing bean.
Please help me to solve this problem.

How to create delay before tween or function in AS?

Hi there
I have a number of cases where I have a tween happening in ActionScript, but I would like it to happen after a delay from the event that triggers it. At the moment I'm creating this delay by having a tween that does nothing (eg. an "_x" tween for which the start and end points are the same) and then using tween1.onMotionFinished = function(){… to create the one I really want.
Is there a way to create this delay more neatly? At the moment what I am doing works fine, but it's still a workaround and if there's a better way to do it I'd like to learn. It'll probably help me out in the long term.

I have made Org Chart in MS Visio 2013 including multiple pages (sheets) & hyperlink provided to navigate from one page to another after clicking on particular box/Icon.
In Ms Visio, its working properly but when i have added this in SharePoint site then when clicking on hyper linked Box then instead of navigating to another page , it is downloading files.

How do you upload the Visio file to SharePoint 2013? Upload the whole file directly or use the Visio 2013 build-in feature to save as to SharePoint site.
Which file format do you use? VSDX or VWD format (Visio Web Drawing)
Which browsers do you use?
If you did not use VWD format, I recommend you try to
save diagrams to SharePoint as Web drawings, we are using Visio Services to make the diagram available for people to view in a browser. Web drawings can have hyperlinks, multiple pages, and other features like a standard Visio drawing, including the
ability to connect to external data sources. (Based on my test, the method worked well for me, it would navigate hyperlink correctly among different pages)
Then, if we can navigate hyperlink correctly, and it becomes ”downloading mode“. This issue may be caused by the browsers add-ins. Please try to disable all the add-ins to test.

Calendar Day Link to Another Page

I have a Page which has Date as LOV with Submit With Select (This is Page 10)
e.g. User selects a date, report is displayed based on date selected. This is done using Select list with Submit. Date is populated using LOV based on query. The default value of date is Maximum of date in on of my date column.
The above think works great. No problem so far.
I want to create calendar view which is another page (This is Page 20) .
Calendar is created using Calendar wizard. In Calendar, I want to link Day to above Page. I can create day link which links back to Page 10 and also report data is displayed based on date selected in Calendar.
Now, the problem: The problem is value of Date field on above page (Page 10) is always set to default value. Although, I have said that default value should only set when session state is NULL.
So my question is why Date (Display value) is not set to value passed from Calendar Page. I have checked Session info and correct value of date is present.
What should I do to correct this problem ?
The other question is :
How to disable calendar day link when there is no data to be displayed ? At present, as soon as I create a Day link, all the Days in Calendar are linked, what I want is, to hightlight/clickable which has only some data.
How should I do this ?

Instead of using the Day Link feature, you can create a link in the SQL query for the calendar region. This will accomplish both of your goals: It will pass the value to your other page, and it will only appear for days where there is a value.
If you look at the Orders page of the sample application, you'll see that the SQL for the calendar is :

I've a splitapp consisting of a masterpage - MasterPage and two detail page - lineStatus & lineDetails.
there is a table in lineStatus page and a line graph in lineDetails page,
when one clicks on show graph in table user is navigated to lineDetails page.
The problem is that graph in lineDetails page is not visible, though <div> for graph is created.
If I load lineDetails page first(where the graph is), then everything works fine and graph is visible.

Navigation from One page to another page through hyperlink in webcenter

Hi All,
I created ADF unbounded taskflow and want to use it in my webcenter portal application for navigation from one page say Page x to another say Page y by clicking on the hyperlink in the Page x. How to do this in webcenter portal application. When I try to add the taskflow in the navigation model it is taking to the blank page instead of taking to Page x. Many thanks in advance.

Creating another page

I read this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6754098 which quite doesn't help me out. I'm using iweb and I want to create a portfolio page that has thumbnails and text that hyperlinks to another page within my domain name. For example, if my website is mywebsite.com , at the top of my homepage I would like a portfolio link, if clicked on will take me to a page within mywebsite.com that has thumbnails and/or text. Each of the thumbnails/text on the portfolio page would link to it's own page within mywebsite.com.
I followed the directions on the previous thread using Lightroom 2 but the links take me to my web.mac.com gallery page. I would like for the links to stay within the websites's name. Hope that makes sense. Here's a good example: http://www.natebenson.com . If you notice, on top of his page is a portfolio link which takes you to his portfolio page which has 3 links on the right side. If you click on those links, it takes you to another page within his site with gallery images? How can I achieve this? Thanks so much for any help.

This site has a link to the portfolio page in the main menu. The links to the other pages are a sub menu.
After you have created the sub pages, create the sub menu in a text box and make each link to the appropriate page in the "Link" inspector. Copy and paste it to each sub page.

Navigating to new page after insert

I would like to navigate to a specific page after the user hits insert on a form application component (I still want the insert action to take place). I have wirtten a pl/sql procedure to do this as follows:

If I run this routine independently of the form component, it works fine. However, I have added it to the insert button as follows:

run_in_same_window;
Now the insert works fine, but the navigation to the new window is ignored. I have tried coding in a delay before the call to run_in_same_window, but this doesn't seem to help. Any ideas???

Hi,
You should not use pl/sql proc and javascript to do this. Oracle already provides a functionality to achieve what you are trying to do.
On your portal form, on the "successful submission of form" section, you should call your url in the following way:
go(myurl) ---- where myurl is your url.

How can I put a message in a page after an action in another page?

Hi everybody, I know that what I try to explain is a bit difficult to understand without know all the context but I try to do it the same:). I have a datatable that contains a list of student. In another page I insert a new student. When I click on "save" button I save the new student and I return to the page with the datatable. The problem is: when I add a student I must notify the user that the student is added correctly with a message in the 1st page like "The student is added correctly". This message must display only after I added the student not when I see for the first time the page with the datatable. How can i do this? Thanks to all.

I use your suggestion but it doesn't work. I create a bean named MessageHandler with scope request. In its constructor i put an empty value for the variable addStudent_message, and in the page that the message should be I have this line of code:

How do you hyperlink a rollover to another page from within your iweb site?

Ive made a bunch of rollovers for my iweb navigation bar. If youve created a rollover you know you have to link the images to a image hosting site. here as you would just normally drag and drop a image from your desk top. Because of the way iweb works, if you are using images from a image hosting sit, you can no longer adjust the characteristics of the images i.e. colors, size, and in this case the hyperlink. More specifically you cant change the hyperlink to a page within the iweb site.
So the problem im trying to figure out is how to link the rollover to a page within my iweb site.
now you can actually change the hyperlink of the rollover. however you must do this by adjusting the html within the snippet of the rollover. The problem i found is that iweb doesnt creat sub domains for each page. a entire iweb site with multible pages uses only one domain which is the homepage. so i cant just type a subdomain of another page into the snippet hyperlink because the subdomain doesnt exist.
here is the link to my site. youll notice i did figure out a work around with the "contact us" button but its a huge pain in the butt. i had to create a new domain and a new site then attach the referal index.html to that new domain. todo this for every single button is very difficult.

perhaps if there was a way to create a subdomains like springgardenranch.tk/contactus withing iweb for each page. but i dont even know if thats possible.

How to setup the Hyperlink from one page to another page

I am new to Oracle APEX. My requirement is to setup a Hyperlink from one page to another page.
Currently I am displaying 4 columns in the report of Page 1. The report is like below,
Survey Response Count_of_Cities City_Name
AB Y 2 LONDON,CHICAGO
AB N 3 DELHI,MUMBAI,CHENNAI
AC Y 1 LONDON
AC N 4 TOKYO,HONGKONG,BANGALORE,HYDERABAD
But the revised requirement is I need to show the City_name in another page i.e. Page 2 when the user clicks on value of the Count_of_Cities. i.e. If the user clicks on 3, In page 2 the values should be appear like below
DELHI
MUMBAI
CHENNAI
If I click on the 4, the values in the page should be like below,
TOKYO
HONGKONG
BANGALORE
HYDERABAD
Currently in Page 1 I am hiding the City_Name and created a Hyperlink on Count_of_Cities. When clicked on Count_of_Cities it is navigating to Page 2. But the values for City_Name are not showing properly.
Please sugegst how I can show the City_Name values in page 2?
Please let me know if you require any additional information.
Please provide the solution. The requirement is urgent.

Can someone tell me whether it is possible to create a link to a page in another page group? If yes, how?

Here is what I have done to get around this. It appears to work with a quick test. Let's say that on a page in page group B I want to navigate to pages in page group A. In page group A I create a navigation page with my links - lists of objects, page links, etc. As noted in the discussion I can only add pages from page group A to this list. Then I publish this page as a portlet. On my page in page group B I add a small (narrow) portlet region and add my page group A navigation portlet with the page links to it.
The limitation to this approach is that I cannot mix links from different page groups in my portlet, but if I needed this effect I can always make a series of little navigation pages from different page groups and intersperse them as portlets on my page group B page.
