Creating external repository for standalone VM server install

Hi!,
I installed standalone VM on server with 2 250GB hards drives.
Need more space so now trying to add a 2GB external eSATA or USB drive.
Looking at the documentation I did not find anything for standalone servers.
Please help

First of all I created master repository for ODI on SQL Server 2003 via Microsoft SQL Server, it did not work.

It is highly recommended to use the JDBC Driver for SQL Server 2005, even if you are using SQL Server 2000. In ODI's pre-populated lists, it is not there - you will have to (1) get the driver yourself, downloadable from the Microsoft site. (get the driver v1.2, not the 2.0, and use a JRE v1.5, 1.5 or 1.6. The 2.0 driver from Microsoft requires the JRE 1.6)
(2) use the
Driver: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
and the URL: jdbc:sqlserver://<myserver>:<myport, default 1433>;database=<mydb>;selectMethod=cursor
these are not automatic, you will need to type them in.
The database must be configured for connections from tcpip.

Hello MDM Gurus,
I am new to SAP MDM. I want to create MDM repository for Material Master. What I unddertand is, I can create repository using Bussiness Content shiped with MDM software. I will copy *.a2a file to archive folder of MDM server and unarchive repository. I have following question for you.
1. HOw do I use export maps and import maps which I found in Busines contenst\Material folder?
2. How do I use MDM Lookup Tables which is xml document in Busines contenst\Material folder?
3. Why is the use of MDMGX_55520_Material.txt file which I found in Busines contenst\Material folder?
4. What is the use of *.xsd files and how can I use them?

save all the map files on your loacl machine. open import manager and select file-> Import, browse to the .map file and save the map with a meaningful name. now next time connect to the source file you want to import and OPEN the map saved.
2. How do I use MDM Lookup Tables which is xml document in Busines contenst\Material folder?
Businees content contains the standard ECC refernce tables like countries, regions etc which can be refreshed from ECC. for this you have to configure MDMGX, defining all the ports in MDM and in ECC the tables from which data has to be refreshed. refer to below threads for details.

This helps us in configuring the table extraction from ECC, refer to thread-> Extract Data usnig MDMGX

Schema files are used for syndicating the records from MDM to source system. Say we want to syndicate material master from MDM to ECC and in ECC they will be posted via MATMAS05 IDoc. these schemas are the structure of IDoc which will contain the values which will be syndicated from MDM.

Error while creating external alias for BSPs & DMS

Hello All,
Has anybody encountered the below error dump while creating the external aliases for Business Server Pages and Document Management Service?
The error dump I have received is "ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY"
"A Row with same key already exists"
The error has ocurred in the program "RSICFTREE".
I am getting this above described error while navigating to the "Target Element" tab.
Can anybody help pls?

Hi Tony,
Somehow I solved this issue. I dont remember what exactly I did, as it was sometime back in December. I think I used the Wizard initially to do the configurations in Solution Manager and again i tried to do the same manually as the earlier one threw some errors.
It seems the wizard proceeded half-way through and hence the entry was made in the database already and hence that error.

How to create a sitemap for Apple Wiki server?

Since the content of a Wiki server is very dynamic, can the server generate a site map automatically?
If I manually created a sitemap, where should I put it so that it will show up in the root of my site?

I have created a DSN in a web server (a Public IP machine) that is mapped to a Oracle DB.
In my Excel using VBA coding, with the help of RDO object I will call the DSN in the Web server using the connection string like "DSN=ORS;UID=SDATA;PWD=SDATA;"
This is working fine and in this case the client machine doesn't need Oracle client to be installed or any TNS entry.
The user can run the Excel report by clicking a button and the click event connects the DSN in the web server (through its URL) and routes to the mapped DB and fetches the quried data.
Please note that the above DSN is created based on Microsoft ODBC for Oracle driver.
But the issue is using the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle driver I couldnt call the SP with Ref Cursor.
When I searched in Internet I came to know using the provider oraoledb.oracle we can call SP that uses REF CURSOR.
Now my question is what is the driver name that I can use to create a DSN to make use of the provider oraoledb.oracle for calling the SP with REF CURSOR from Excel VBA coding ?

How to create a service for Oracle HTTP Server

I hope someone can help me.
I would like to create a service for an Oracle HTTP Server.
We are running APEX 3.2 on an 10.2.0.4 database (not XE).
We have a Windows XP system.
To run APEX on a 10g we need the HTTP Server.
Unfortunately no service was created while the installing of the Oracle HTTP Server.
How can I create a service later. After the installation.
I know that you can create a service with Instrsrv.exe and Srvany.exe. But I dont know wheather I can use this in this case.
I need an .exe file for that.
The HTTP-Server has the opmnctl.exe.
But I have to write opmnctl.exe startall when I start or opmnctl.exe stopall when I want to stop it . How can I realize that in a Service?

How to create a repository for data archiving?

We have a content server installed 2 months ago.
We want to store the archived data either into the content server DB (even we know it's NOT
recommended) or better into the file system on the content server.

Fail-over options for Standalone Print Server

Our organization recently set up 3 2012 r2 Print Servers to handle 3 separate sites. Each printer server contains only the printers within the site - which makes each server a standalone print server. I'm concern with the issue of not
having a fail-over plan in place, in the event one of my server should fail. Does anyone have any fail-over suggestions.

How can i create work directory for Tomcat4 which is installed on Mandrake

I installed Tomcat4 with the help of JPackage on Madrake Linux. It is working fine. But Unfortunatly my work folder in tomcat4 is deleted. I restarted my Tomcat, But the work folder not created. my application is not working. I need help from u people. Is there any other options to create work folder. Cant create connection Pool for MS SQL Server 2000 with Microsoft Driver

i am using bea weblogic server 6.1, i cant create connection pool while using MS
SQL Server 2000. i have installed JDBC Driver SAP1 from microsoft website. when
i give the following class name for JDBC driver and the connection url and click
apply while selecting the available server, a number of exception appears in default
server (that is the connection pool cannot be created..... cannot load the driver
class).

Driver= com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
when i use the above setting in a JDBC simple application in Jbuilder

but in at Bea connection Pool is not created with these settings. i do give appropriate
username and password in properties field in connection pool. Thankx for any help!

Creating RMAN Repository for 2 production databases

I have 2 production databases DB1& DB2 .
I want to create a recovery catalogue database which will be used for storing the RMAN repository of Database DB1 and DB2 .
What steps do i take to do the same.Can anyone guide me.

How to create extra partitions for windows 7 after installing boot camp

i am pretty new at imac so bare with me and i really need help.

OS X version 10.9.5 ( i think its os X mavericks ??)
iMac 21. inch , Late 2013
iMac model identifier iMac 14,1
i installed boot camp windows 7 and it works perfectly, after i tried to create two partition using disk utility for windows 7 (ms-dos) format because i really want to separate my files on other partition instead of everything on Boot Camp drive. after i restart choosing windows OS i cannot go back to windows 7.
i hold option on the keyboard but does not show window 7 so i went back to Apple ox s , found my boot camp hd on the desktop with files in it. checked boot camp assistance showing
" The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows. "
i read alot of article about but i don't seem to understand much about

Also i do not have boot camp installed yet because like i said, it messed up my boot camp after i created the partition thats why i removed boot camp, right now i only have APPLE OS

How to Export Repository for standalone environments?

Hi All,
Can someone help me understand if it is possible to run export repository command and export out certain repositories in case of a stand alone environment?

It's not possible to run utility commands like exportRepository, startSQLRepository without ATG installation directory.
If ATG is installed on the machine where code is deployed, U can use them.
Otherwise, U can use dyn/admin to export repository data.
Steps:
Go to repository component path location. i.e- http://domainname:port/dyn/admin/nucleus/atg/commerce/catalog/ProductCatalog
Execute <export-items/> command in text area, it will export all items for that repository along with dependencies.
If u need to export specific item-descriptor use <export-item item-descriptor=""/>

Can't set up repository for Database Mobile Server 11g (DMS)

I'm trying to install DMS on GlassFish. After installed GlassFish and DMS. I started to run /admin/repwizard
1. First screen, i gave Host name, Port number, Service base on GlassFish info
2. Second Screen, l let the SYSTEM password blank (can't see any request to create password for SYSTEM before)
When i press next, after 2 minutes, one dialog with mess: "Socket read timed out" appear
Please help!!!

More info: i'm installing on CentOS running on VirtualBox
