Creating formatted search using DI API

Dear All,
Please let me know if we can implement/create formatted search on a UDF textbox using DI API. Is it possible to create formatted search through code using DI API ?
Regards,
Noor Hussain

Yes, it is possible. Look for the FormattedSearches object in SDK.

  • Executing a full-text search using KM APIs

    Hello,
    I'm doing a KM Folder search using KM APIs. The code looks similar to this
    =====================================================
    IGenericQueryFactory queryFactory = GenericQueryFactory.getInstance();
         IQueryBuilder queryBldr = queryFactory.getQueryBuilder();
         IPropertyName ipn = new PropertyName("http://sapportals.com/xmlns/cm", "lang");
         IQueryExpression queryExpr =
              queryBldr.like(ipn, language.toLowerCase());
         IGenericQuery query = queryFactory.toGenericQuery(queryExpr);
         IResourceList result = query.execute(
         collection, Integer.MAX_VALUE,7,false);
    ======================================================
    Issue: How can I execute a full-text search using these APIs.
    i.e. If the keyword exists in the body of the document, the search should return that document.
    Any help on this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Harman

    Thanks for your helpful answers.
    So, which APIs should I use to accomplish my goal?  I need to search for custom KM attributes, AND the body of the document.
    We are currently running EP6 SP2.
    Should I use the IFederatedSearch API.
    Thanks,
    Harman

  • How to create RMA lines using OE_ORDER_PUB API

    Hi All,
    We are trying to create RMA lines using OE_ORDER_PUB API but every time API creating <b>Standard Order Line</b> line type in application.
    My program is creating order header as a <b>Return Order</b>, i am passing corrent line type ids (1028 - RMA Shipment, 1027 - RMA Receipt) but oracle API is creating Standard Order Lines (ID 1001).
    Can any one tell me about that?
    Thanks
    Ravi
    null

    Check the defaulting rules setup. Defaulting rule will derive the line type based on the order type and shippable flag etc.
    Also check the line flows assigned to the order type in transaction types window.

  • How to do exact word search using Java API

    Hi,
    Can someone tell me how can I write a search query using Ultra Search Java API to return data containing a full word that is sent as a search
    parameter. e.g. If I want to search for a word 'Dictionary' I need to get all the results conatining full word Dictionary for example if I
    have following 4 records
    1. Dictionary
    2. English Dictionary
    3. French Dictionary
    4. AllDictionary
    How can I write a query that returns me first 3 records only as they contain the word 'Dictionary' and not the fourth record as it's not a word.
    Here is what I need to get back and ordered in that way as the 'Dictionary' needs to be first record because the search is on Dictionary.
    1. Dictionary
    2. English Dictionary
    3. French Dictionary
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Looks like we can not do an exact word search using Java API.

  • Creating a mapping using the API

    Hi Brian, I am curious about this use case - what's the reason you are looking to do it using the API? You can create several objects using the API and the most typical use case we have observed is where mapping developers create a pattern or what we call as a "template" - which is a mapping with various properties parameterized. For example you can create a mapping with the filter parameterized, or define a very generic mapping with source, target and the field map between those all parameterized. Once you do that, you can create a "task" for this mapping (known as Mapping Configuration Task) - that can be done using our UI or using our REST API. If you choose the latter, you can pass on parameter values as part of the API request. Suggest you to take a look at our new Developer Portal, and specifically at the sections Templates and REST API there. Feel free to post any further questions here. If you sign up to the developer program there, you will get much more direct help.https://community.informatica.com/community/technology_partner_network Amol

    I was wondering about creating a mapping using the API. It clearly states in the Dev guide that this is possible, but when I perform a get mapping request, I don't see all the information given for a certain object.  For example, I don't see an expression in the mapping object (although one exists when I view the object in Cloud).   Has anyone else done this? Is it easy to create objects via the API?  Thanks!

  • Creating Job material using public API from WIP

    Take the entered component part number and search in the WIP job material requirements. This should use a WIP API. If the material is found, increment the quantity. If material is not found, create the job material using public API. (Provide WIP API details)
    The java object, oracle.apps.csd.schema.server .CsdHvWipJobPvtEO is a wrapper to call WIP API. This should be used to create material requirements is this the procedure to create job material Req.

    Hi Pat,
    What is your SBO version? I've seen several cases in which the login/connection procedure (both in the client and via DI API) has become much slower after upgrading to SBO 2005.
    Do you experience the same slowness when connecting via DI API in a non-WebService setting?
    I would not recommend using DI API in a web service context in the first place. DI Server would give you a much more robust, stable and scalable infrastructure to build upon.

  • Formatted search with DI API

    Hello,
    Can formatted searches be triggered when data is added via the DI API?
    Thanks,
    Sheetal

    Hi,
    As Ad said, it is not possible. The reason is that formatted searches are triggered when UI API events are raised. Using the DI API doesn´tt make UI API events to be raised, so that´s not possible.

  • Formatted Search - Using field index to refer to UDF in many documents

    I have some UDFs in my marketing documents - say U_VALUE
    I want to write a fairly complicated formatted search and use it for the same thing across all my marketing documents.
    I don't want to use
    $[ORDR.U_VALUE]
    in my formatted search as this will only work in the sales order document.
    I want to use something like
    $[$4.0.0]
    which brings back the cardcode independant of the form we are looking at. However
    $[$U_VALUE.0.0]
    will not work!
    Hoping someone can help!
    Edited by: Daniel Abbatt on Apr 10, 2008 6:16 PM

    Yes you would have to have a UDF called VALUE on the marketing document for this example to run and even then it will error!
    That's the point, the code above will not work, SBO only seems to be able to know about ORDR in a sales order and OINV in an invoice. So if I am in a sales order, it errors on the reference to OINV, even though the code that uses the
    $[OINV.U_VALUE]
    is never actually accessed by the SQL. I guess this is because SBO does the substitutions before it executes the code.
    All I am basically trying to do is create a generic formatted search that will perform an action using the value of a UDF, say some formatting, the problem is I want it to work with any marketing document.
    The only way I can find to access a UDF though is by having to use the
    $[TABLE.U_FIELDNAME]
    way, which seems to mean by definition I can only create a formatted search to access a header UDF for a single type of document. I cannot create a generic formatted search, that reverses the string for example, and use that formatted search across all marketing documents.
    I know you can access normal fields also by their item reference, i.e.
    $[$4.0.0]
    , but this syntax does not seem to work with UDF, even though the system information shows the item reference as U_VALUE, I cannot use the
    $[$U_VALUE.0.0]
    which would be ideal...

  • Create Formatted  Search by code in a user form

    Hi, I want to create a formated search in a user form but it doesnt work using my form id (STEC_EXTRAS) as the search.FormID.
    I created the formatted search by SAP (Shift+F2) and in the table of formatted searches the formid appears as 2000001000
    ¿Where is the relation between my id and the id SAP uses?¿Any SAP table or conversion rule?
    Thanks for the possible help.

    Hello,
    When You create a form, the id (Type) can be set up by  Add function, ..... it is staring form 2000000000 ...
    Maybe Your "ID" STEC_EXTRAS is the Unique ID of the Form...... not the Type
    Public Const WM_USERFORM As Integer = 2000000000 ' User defined forms minimum ID
    Public Const YOURFORM As Integer= WM_USERFORM + 1 ' My form id will be  2000000001
    oForm = m_SBO_Application.Forms.Add("MYFORM", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormTypes.ft_Sizable, YOURFORM - WM_USERFORM)
    'this is the same as
    oForm = m_SBO_Application.Forms.Add("MYFORM", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormTypes.ft_Sizable, 1)
    ' or the same as
    Dim creationPackage as SAPbouiCOM.FormCreationParams
    creationPackage  = SBO_Application.CreateObject(SAPbouiCOM.BoCreatableObjectType.cot_FormCreationParams)
    creationPackage.UniqueID = "MYFORM"
    creationPackage.FormType = YOURFORM
    creationPackage.BorderStyle = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormBorderStyle.fbs_Fixed
    oForm = SBO_Application.Forms.AddEx(creationPackage)
    If you use  STEC_EXTRAS as FormType, You will see in the CSHS table STEC_EXTRAS as the FormId
    Dim creationPackage as SAPbouiCOM.FormCreationParams
    creationPackage  = SBO_Application.CreateObject(SAPbouiCOM.BoCreatableObjectType.cot_FormCreationParams)
    creationPackage.UniqueID = "MYFORM"
    creationPackage.FormType = "STEC_EXTRAS"
    creationPackage.BorderStyle = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormBorderStyle.fbs_Fixed
    oForm = SBO_Application.Forms.AddEx(creationPackage)

  • Problem in Creating Delivery Note using DI API

    i am using DI Api with Delphi Language to Create a Sales Delivery Note based on the sales Order.
    But Each time when i add, a new Record gets Created rather than the new Line.
          Document:= IDocuments(FCompany.GetBusinessObject(oDeliveryNotes));
          Document.CardCode         := 'A001'
          Document.Lines.BaseType   := 17;
          Document.Lines.BaseEntry  := 84;
          Document.Lines.BaseLine   := 4;
          Document.Lines.ItemCode := '001A';
          Document.Lines.Quantity := 10;
          Result := FODLN.Add;
    In this case,new rows are added each time in the tables ODLN and RDR1.
    How to avoid this.As this creates a individual Delivery Note for each time i add than to the Order Number.

    HI,
    The problem : Do not specify ItemCode if you specify Base document.
    So
    1st case
    Document:= IDocuments(FCompany.GetBusinessObject(oDeliveryNotes));
    Document.CardCode := 'A001'
    Document.Lines.BaseType := 17;
    Document.Lines.BaseEntry := 84;
    Document.Lines.BaseLine := 4;
    Document.Lines.Quantity := 10;
    Result := FODLN.Add;
    or
    2nd case
    Document:= IDocuments(FCompany.GetBusinessObject(oDeliveryNotes));
    Document.CardCode := 'A001'
    Document.Lines.ItemCode := '001A';
    Document.Lines.Quantity := 10;
    Result := FODLN.Add;
    1st case creates delivery note with only one row with reference to Sales Order
    Take care: BaseLine comes from 0
    2dn case creates delivery note with only one row WITHOUT reference.
    if you have more than one rows, use the
    Document.Lines.Add to enter another row
