Creating script in Batch Processing

I am having issues creating a script in batch processing for any user, including the admin. The error is "Permission Denied - 70". I've rebooted servers, checked shared/NTFS permissions on the folder locations for the application. This is FDM 11.1.1.1, SS and HFM are 11.1.1.2.
Not finding anything as of yet, and we really need this to work.
Any help would be great!
Thanks,

Ed,
This has to do with OS permissions ... not permissions inside the application.
Please make sure that the user you are running the software as has full control of the NTFS FileShare.
Thank you,

  • Script for batch processing

    Hello
    I need help
    I created a batch sequence which set watermark and security to pdf files from one directory. Now i want to create another sequence: 1. set security to none and 2. delete watermark.
    I have a problem with set security to none because every time i need change preferences for batch process to security method=password security by hand.
    Maybe there is a way to change this settings with java script in batch "execute java script"?
    Or how i can change with batch sequence a security method from passsword security to "none" if i know password
    Thanks in advance

    Create a "blank" batch process (ie, without any action), but under the Output Options tick the box to optimize the files and set the optimization settings you want to use.

  • Creating a moasic-batch processing question?

    I 'volunteered' help to do a project for my daughter. For an
    elementary school fundraiser, she wants to create four moasics -- 11X17 images --
    one for each of four classes, with an 'Egyptian' theme -- at least one of the
    images being of the pyramids of Giza.
    The plan is this: several of the mommies will take their digital cameras to
    school this week, and take photos of the children, and then let the children
    snap away fill up the rest of the memory card. Assuming there are five
    mommies, and that each provides a hundred photos -- they're going to put them
    on CD's -- I could wind up with only 500 photos, and these moasic apps need
    tons more images.
    My 'plan', such as it is, is to take these photos and duplicate them as many
    times as necessary, and then change the color cast of some of the different
    batches, e.g. -- some with a 'blue' cast, some with a 'sand colored' cast, etc.
    The idea is, MacOSaiX will choose the blue for the sky, the sand for the sand,
    etc.
    Questions: Given a big enough HD, and using PSE 4, can I easily duplicate
    batches of the originals photos-- say 50 or a 100 at a time? Is there a
    'batch' commend/process that would let me do that?
    Ditto, changing the color -- can I apply the same color change to a large batch
    of photos at the same time?
    The PSE 4 Help seems to say I can 'batch process' all the files in selected
    folders, but it doesn't mention duplicating all the images in the folder. It
    does _seem to say that I could do the automatic 'color' adjustment.
    Any help/suggestions to 'improve' this plan would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Hal

    That is what i ended up doing - basically batching up 100 items and then doing a service callout until all the items are processed (inside a pipeline pair). In this case I guess this works fine, but if this were a web service proxy instead of a MFL file proxy service it seems like the pattern is inefficient - I would do service callouts in the for each and aggregate the responses, then I'd need to call a service at the end (via a route) just to create a response (so it doesn't just echo the original request back). Or is there a better way?

  • Acrobat 8 Pro - how can I backup batch-processing scripts

    Is there a way to backup batch-processing scripts?

    Batch processes are saved locally as SEQU files, with the batch's name being the file name. You can get the path to the folder where they're located by running this code from the JS console:
    app.getPath("user", "sequences")

  • Acrobat 9 Batch Processing - Get PDF filenames from folder?

    Hello,
    Can anyone provide me with an example with how to use Batch Processing (when set to a specific folder/files) to get a list of filenames in that folder? I haven't been able to find any examples online. There doesn't seem to be any built in batch sequences that automatically do this so I assume it will need to be done with javascript?
    Ultimately, I need to automate a process (I was hoping to create a batch sequence to accomplish this) that will allow me to prompt a user to pick a source folder of PDFs and then based on that selection, run a Javascript that I create which will merge all PDFs in that folder into a new PDF, apply some crop setttings to each page, and then prompt the user where to save the merged PDF?
    Has anyone ever done anything like this? I would love to see an example of how this might be able to be achieved.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Have you tried to create a test batch process (now called Actions)?  Actions in Acrobat 10 has the "merge all files in folder" option, and batch processing in previous versions has always included a page crop commad as well as an option for asking the user where to save the file.

  • Save or Export Batch Processing

    I have created several different batch processing in Acrobat 9 for Windows to reduce the size of PDF files as well as OCR the files.
    I do the same thing with Acrobat 10 and I can easily export the processes (it's called Actions) and reimport them into another computer with Acrobat 10 installed.
    My question is, how do I save/export those batch processing steps in Acrobat 9 so I can re-import them when I needed?

    Thanks for the super fast reply. I found them under (it's WinXP OS):
    C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Sequences

  • Batch process Flatten Script not working?

    Hi,
    I used to run the this.flattenPages(); in Acrobat pro 8 with no problems, Scince ive installed 9 the batch process requires the enter button to be pressed every time it processes a file??? Is there a work around for this? Im not too good with Javascript, In Acrobat 8 I just had the one line and it worked fine?
    Please help ive 80,000 files to process!
    Thanks
    Mike

    Dont know if you have found a solution or not but you could use this as a work around.
    http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml
    It is a free program that you can create scripts in if you created and ran an Autoit script that would have a
    ;******************** auto it script not javascript ************
    $count = "1"
    $total = "80001"
    While( $count <= $total)
    sleep(100)
    winwait(_______x_______,_______y_________)
    send("{ENTER}")
    ;sleep(100)
    $count = $count + 1
    WEnd
    ;****************** end auto it script ***********************
    You will want to replace the _______x________ with the exact title of your message window that wants you to hit enter on. And the _________y________ with part of the text that is in the window that wants you to hit enter on.
    What it does is loop 80000 times. While looping it waits for the window with the exact title / words in it once it see that it will hit enter, add one to count and do it again.
    While running script if you want to stop the auto it program a blue A is on the lower right side of screen by system clock you can right click on it and end it.
    This may help you get done with them while you are searching for a better built in answer.

  • Batch Process Export Layers Script

    I know how to break down a layered file using the Export Layers Script, and it works pretty well for me.  What I want to know is if there is a way to create an action using this script, that I can apply to multiple files and batch process in Bridge?  I have created an action that in theory should work, but I keep getting stop errors when I actually run it.  Has anyone successfully created an action that can export out multiple layers of multiple files?

    Joyce,
    Thank you.  Your suggestion helped clear my mental log jam.
    Fireworks batch scripting seems to work in reverse.
    Using "Batch Process..." scripting interface 'Export' (as JPEG) option first, 'Rename' (add Prefix) option second, and then follow these by using the history panel's 2 previously saved steps (Numeric Transform, Fit Canvas), batch process now works.  PNG file (list) is saved in targeted folder as a reduced scale JPEG with a prefixed file name.
    Batch Process allows the entire newly defined command sequence to be saved (script.js).  Placing this (renamed) file into Firework's batch look-up directory for scripts (C:\Documents and Settings\account_name\Application Data\Adobe\Fireworks CS4\Commands) does not work.  The file name does not display in "Batch Process" window "Batch options:" Commands drop-down list.
    Batch Process only works by recreating the above steps each use.
    The new (JavaScript) file is 26 KB.  Is script file size limited in Fireworks "Batch options:" feature?

  • Batch Processing when Integration script is used

    Can we set up batch processing when we are using integration scripts to connect to source tables? If yes, then what are the settings required ?
    Thanks

    You need to create an empty flat file in the Openbatch folder (assuming you are using the single period load). the format for the file name is in the admin guide. I generally add this to the batch script before the batch process section.

  • Retrieving Automate Batch processes I created in Photoshop CC before updating to Photoshop CC 2014

  • CS4 open script using Bridge batch processing

    I wrote a script in CS to open a logo file (.psd) and copy it onto a photo
    Since upgrading to CS4 the script will not work with batch processing in bridge. It does work in Photoshop on a single image however.
    Here is my open script....when I batch process it brings up an open dialog instead of just opening the file
    ///CODE
    var activeDoc = activeDocument;
    var logoDoc = open(File("/c/stlg.psd"), OpenDocumentType.PHOTOSHOP, false);

    That didn't work either :(
    I was looking at the OpenDocument.jsx sample in the scripting samples directory and tried batch processing it....it opens a photoshop sample psd file and it worked...though I don't understand the code or why my code above won't work
    /////OpenDocument.jsx code
    //var strSamplesFolderDirectory = localize( "$$$/LocalizedFilenames.xml/SourceDirectoryName/id/Extras/[LOCALE]/[LOCALE]_Samples/value =Samples" );
    //var strSampleFileNameLayerComps = localize ("$$$/LocalizedFilenames.xml/SourceFileName/id/Extras/[LOCALE]/[LOCALE]_Samples/Layer_Com ps.psd/value=Layer Comps.psd");
    var fileRef = new File(app.path.toString() + "/" + strSamplesFolderDirectory + "/" + strSampleFileNameLayerComps);
    open (fileRef);
    fileRef = null;

  • How to create multiple pdf files from multiple batch processing

    I have several file folders of jpeg images that I need to convert to separate multi-page pdf files. To give a visual explanation:
    Folder 1 (contains 100 jpeg image files) converted to File 1 pdf (100 pages; 1 file)
    Folder 2 (contains 100 jpeg image files) converted to File 2 pdf (100 pages; 1 file)
    and so on.
    I know I can convert each folder's content as a batch process, but I can only figure out how to do so one folder at a time. Is it at all possible to convert multiple folders (containing jpegs) to multiple pdf files? Put differently, does anyone know how to process a batch of folders into multiple (corresponding) pdf files?
    Many thanks.

    There are two approaches to do this:
    - First convert all JPG files to PDF files using a "blank" batch process. Then combine all PDF files in the same folder using another batch process and a folder-level script (to do the actual combining). I have developed this tool in the past and it's available here:
    http://try67.blogspot.com/2010/10/acrobat-batch-combine-all-files-in.html
    - The othe option is to do everything in a single process, but that requires an application outside of Acrobat, which I'm currently developing.
    If you're interested in any of these tools, feel free to contact me personally.

  • Batch Process for creating button sets in Fireworks - help

    Hi,
    I'm new to Fireworks still, I've created some really simple
    buttons and I was wondering if it's possible to do a batch process
    on them to repeat a few steps e.g. changing background colour,
    border colour, text colour etc... It would save me lots of time and
    I could make some extra sets then.
    Thanks,
