  • Trying to create reference for application in target server failed;

    I have an ear file that I am trying to deploy using the "Deploy Enterprise Applications/Modules" page on the console.
    The console gives me a message saying
    "Trying to create reference for application in target server failed; Application tsom_oes is not found in config context"
    tsom_oes is the name of my application, or it was. I've changed every instance of that name I can find and still it tells me it is looking for tsom_oes.
    Can anyone tell me just what is looking for it and where it is expecting to find it?
    I ran the verifier on the ear file and it did give me some errors, although none of them seem to relate to this. Specifically it told me it did not like the xml in a tld file I'm using
    and it seems to think Hibernate needs a bunch of JBoss classes (none of which are referred to by my app anywhere). I'm guessing the verify is mistaken on those, but if anyone knows better I'd like to hear
    Meanwhile I don't know why it won't deploy, nor why it is still looking for tsom_oes.
    One more thing I must add: this ear file exposes portlets which I am hoping will be accessible through the portal server. The ear file works on JBoss, but I have added what I think are the necessary sun xml files to make it run here.
    By 'exposes portlets' I mean that I have created a sun-portlet.xml and implemented the appropriate interfaces (all of which work on JBoss).
    Environment:
    Sun App server 9.1 plus portal server 7.2 on Windows XP

    Okay, I found the answer. I had hacked the domain.xml for this some time ago (this task has been off and on a lot) and forgotten.
    I found the tsom_oes reference in there and removed it. Now it deploys.
    Hopefully this helps someone else some day... probably not though, eh?

  • Creating exe for application that contains ARINC and MIL Codes

    Hi all,
    I am not able to create exe for my application that contains ARINC and MIL. To be precise, the ARINC and MIL part is not working in the exe created.
    Please tell me how to create an EXE with ARINC and MIL codes.

    Did you install the according device drivers on the target machine? And no I don't mean the instrument drivers that you use in LabVIEW but the OS device drivers from NI (resp. AIT), that will access the hardware boards and provide an interface to the LabVIEW application. I would expect them to be part of the AIT SDK kit that comes with the boards.

    HI
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0,
    1. Click on the tab for the Connections navigator.
    2. Right click on Application Server and select New Application Server Connection.
    3. Enter a descriptive name for the new connection, and select the appropriate connection type from the drop down list. Click Next.
    4. Specify oc4jadmin for User Name, then enter the oc4jadmin password. Click Next.
    5. Select Single Instance for Connect To, then provide the host name where BPEL is installed, the OPMN port number, and the OC4J instance name (the default for 10.1.3.1 is oc4j_soa). Click Next.
    6. Click Test Connection. If you have been successful, you should see "Success!"
    7. Now, right click on Integration Server and select New Integration Server Connection.
    8. Specify a connection name and click Next.
    9. In the drop down list by Application Server, select the Application Server Connection you just created. Again, specify the host name where BPEL is installed and the port number. This port number will be the same that you specified for the Integration Server Connection to the home OC4J container. Click Next.
    10. Test the connection. You should see something like:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: OK
    ESB Server: OK
    11. Now, return to the Applications navigator, and try to redeploy your process using the Integration Server Connection just created. (It is possible that you will have to close JDeveloper and then reopen it for this to work.)

    I think it is something related to DB2 (on a different server), but i don't know what...
    Many thanks for any help and kind regards.

    Hi,
    It looks like it is around the DB2 set up.
    In the errors you posted :-
    No default primary tablespace exists for the new table
    Unable to create Scehma for application
    So maybe it is down to tablespace or permissions
    Be sure to see the sections in the installation guide regarding DB2, also any information in the 9.3.1 readme
    Cheers

  • How to setup rotation for application.log?

    In order to get the Portal Performance Statistics running, we need to retrieve the page views from file application.log in directory <ORAHOME>\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\application-deployments\portal\OC4J_Portal_default_island_1.
    This file continues to grow and therefore we want to set up rotation, in order to get one file per day.
    We are following note 264373.1 and have read all documents and manuals about logging, but can not figure out how to manage this.
    Can anyone help us? We are working with 9.0.4.1.
    For Oracle employees: see also tar 4193327.994.

    I can't speak for how portal uses the log file, but in general, the way you do it for a deployed J2EE application on OC4J is as follows.
    Deploy the application EAR file. Lets say the app is called Test.
    In the j2ee/home/application-deployments/Test directory, a file will be created called orion-application.xml.
    If you look in this file, you will see an entry which looks like
    <log>
    <file path="application.log" />
    </log>
    This defines the log file for this application.
    Now if you want to setup log file rotation for this app, edit the orion-application.xml file and firstly, comment out the above.
    Note: you can leave the log tag in if you wish, but you'll get double log messages. Remove it if you do this in production and are trying to conserve space ;-).
    Then add in the below to setup ODL based logging for this application:
    <log>
    <odl path="logdir"
    max-file-size="1000" max-directory-size="10000" />
    </log>
    What this does it to tell OC4J to output the log messages using it's ODL format model, to create a directory called logdir (in the current directory) and then to start writing to log files called log.xml in that directory.
    The max file size of log.xml is 1000KB, and the max directory size of the new logdir directory will be 10MB.
    The ODL logging system will manage the log files in this directory according to these constraints -- when a log file gets bigger than max-file-size it gets archived as logN.xml. When the overall directory size gets bigger than the max-directory-size specified, the oldest log file from the list is removed so that the max directory size is honoured.
    I don't think we can specify a rollover period (ie one day) with ODL. I'm pretty sure it's just file size based only.
    I think the above should apply to Portal since it runs on OC4J. In which case, you'd change the orion-application.zml in the <ORAHOME>\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\application-deployments\portal directory instead of j2ee/home/application-deployments/<app-name>.
    However, I can't speak officially for Portal since I don't work with that product. From a pure OC4J perspective the above holds true and works.
    cheers

    Hi Syclopz88,
    You can use 'File Attachment' option in the form which will allow the user to attach documents to the application.

  • Create a mobile application for view BW reports.

    I want to create a mobile application with MDK for viewing BW reports. It is possible ?

    Hello,
    I have a similar kind of requirement here.
    I need to show BW data on wireless device...via Portal.
    This BW data is a query, which is created using WAD.
    In normal case, we just use the SAP BW Report iView, stick the Bex query in it and its all done. But in this case....how am to go about this...?
    Ive read about Mobile WebDynpro but want to know that....Mobile Web Dynpro is an oline approach, does it mean that user will be able to drill down from the Bex query??
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,
    Ritu

  • Error while Creating Prestage Content File for Application in SCCM 2012

    Hi All,
    I am using SCCM 2012 SP1 on Win 2K8 SP R2 box. Database is SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU6. I have trying to create Prestaged content for Applications for extracting pkgx files on DP's. I am getting the below error message for random applications(not for all applications
    but for random applications).
    Content that will be included into the prestaged content file (1):
    Citrix Receiver 13.3.0.55
    Export all dependencies: 'Yes'
    Selected distribution points: 'MPSERVER.GS.WORLD.PRESS.COM'
    Prestaged content file: 'G:\pkgxfiles\Application\Citrix Receiver 13.3.0.55.pkgx'
     Error: Distribution is currently in progress for selected packages: HM0000D9. Please wait and try again
    But if I see this application is successfully distributed to 2 of the distributions points long ago. If I reupdate the Distribution point and then again try to create prestaged content for this application then pkgx file for that application is getting
    created.
    Why this is happening and how can I resolve this?
    Thanks & Regards Uttam

    Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.
