All,
Iam trying to create a typical tabs as shown in the below jquery link
http://jqueryui.com/tabs/#verticalbut after referencing all scripts at the html header and the code for the body everything is distorted. Can somebody please help me on this jquery code?

You should use/reference the jquery UI components that's already shipped with APEX

How to create tabs in a region

Can you tell me if it is possible to create a multi tab region. I wish to use the functionality available for tabs at page level but on a region within a page.

That is actually something that I had to do not very long ago - the form page got so long that users wanted it divided into logical groupings of page items and then have a row of tabs along the top that allowed them to display these grouped items one group at a time.
What you need is a hidden page item called, as P1_REGION. Then, on your page, create a computation for this item that runs Before Header and sets this to a Static Assignment value of 1 - this computation should be conditional on P1_REGION being null (this just sets it to a default value of 1 when the page is first loaded).
Then, for each region on your page, you determine a region number that it will use. Make each region conditional on P1_REGION being this number - use the "Value of Item in Expression 1 equals Expression 2" condition - put P1_REGION in Expression 1 and your selected region number in Expression 2.
Now, on your list's defintion, you set "Set these Items" to P1_REGION and "With these values" to the appropriate region number for each list item.
Finally, to highlight which region is currently selected, on the list item, in the Current List Entry section, set "List Entry Current for Pages Type" to "Exists SQL Query" and the Condition to:
SELECT 1 FROM DUAL WHERE :P1_REGION = 1(adjust the value at the end as appropriate for each list item).

Create an empty midi region

either merge the MIDI region with the original MIDI region in the Arrange area, or copy
and paste all chords at once.
I'm trying to create a few lead sheets that will display chord symbols, and ideally the melody as well. Sounds like it's easier to write in the chord symbols manually using the chord tool from the text box, but how do I create an empty midi region as stated above? The score editor will only open if there is information in a region somewhere. I could play one note I guess...but how's this empty thing work? Also, would you recommend using lead sheet from staff styles in the layout menu? Most jazz charts use a piano staff, melody up top, chord changes in the bottom. Perhaps I need to work backwards and set up the staff styles first, then record into them?

Or you could write your own using divs and css, it wouldnt take very long as I have done it a couple of times. It might not be the best solution, but I made each tab section an action apart from the page you are currently on and used a separate jsp for each individual tab page. The html was replicated at the top of each page. Each clickable tab header had an action behind it fired by javascript.
It requires a page refresh on each tab click and multiple jsp's (one for each tab) so might not be the most appropriate solution but it works very well and looks good.

Within a SAP Portal Tabs are not used like you want them to
By default Tabs are used inside an iView and not to "tab" between iViews on a page...
The most straightforward solution would be creating a custom PageLayout that you can assign to your page.
I would sugest to implement this custom PageLayout with DIV layers and trigger "tabbing" via JavaScript eventing.

APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_API Error while creating a Interactive Report Region

I am getting the following error while creating an Interactive report region on a page. (version - 4.1.0.00.32)
Error Unable to create Dynamic Query page.
ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped stored procedure "APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_API" ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_API"
DBA complied package but the error persists.
Does anyone know how to debug this

Hello ???,
We are experiencing this too at login in an application. The error is caused by violating the constraint WWV_FLOW_DATA_IDX1 on columns FLOW_INSTANCE, ITEM_ID in table WWV_FLOW_DATA. So for some reason the value of an item in session state is set multiple times.
When looking at the Access view (statement below) I see that there are multiple logins per second for a user (I have seen 12 times as maximum).

from WWV_FLOW_USER_ACCESS_LOG_V
group by login_name, application, access_date
having count(*) > 1
order by access_date descSince this count of logins varies from 1 to 12, it looks like it is not caused by the application itself, but I also don't have a clue what the root cause is.
Is there anyone else with more information on this issue?
We are on APEX 4.0 and Oracle 11g and the applications have all been built in this environment, so no upgrades have been performed.

PSE 10 won't open "CREATE" tab - stalls at "Initializing" (Mac OSX 10.6.8)

Hi everyone,
I just purchased a copy of Photo Shop Elements & Premiere Elements 10 and can't get PSE to work properly. I can't use the "Create" tab - which is really annoying because it is the main reason I wanted PSE 10 for... So far I've tried 3 clean installs without any success - it always stalls at "initializing."
My computer meets the minimum system requirements:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.54Ghz, 100gb of free hdd space, 4GB RAM and OSX 10.6.8 running.
The rest of the program seems to be ok - but I can't access that tab... I'm beyond frustrated by now...
Can anyone help me out here? I'd really appreciate it...

Hi Barbara! The Creat tab does open in organizer - but when you select an option ex. photo calendar, it switches to pse and it stalls at initializing...
I tried EVERY fix suggested on the link you posted and nothing worked - except creating a new user account. I just created a new Admin account and It works!!!
Don't know what is wrong with mine though... I'd have to copy my photo library to the new account which is kind of troublesome and a pain to do... Plus I'll be having to switch from one account to the other to access the rest of my content (migrating all of my content to the new account will be VERY hard to do and take even more time)... Oh well - at least I get to use all of the functions in PSE!

Accessing a specific tab and/or region via an URL ?

Is there a way to change the tab of a page using an URL ?
I have the same question concerning the regions of a page (if so it would be working like a frameset) ?My situtation: I have a HTML Portlet containing a custom Menu using Javascript, and I want the links to point a specific tab or a region of my page. => I guess I could use the 'changetabs' and 'regionid' parameters next to the 'pageid' in the URL.
Any kind of hints appreciated !

Hi,
A portal page cannot work as a frame. Each region is a html table and a portlet in it is also a table. They are nested.
Tabs are links. You can copy the url of the tab by right clicking the tab and paste it as the menu link.
You cannot copy a region because it is not a frame it is a html table.

Well think of it I believe the scenario is too bird viewed hence the solution can't be exact.
But thinking of a possible solution every time a child operation fails have a catch block where you you go back to system if the parent needs to be deleted if yes, call Delete Method on the parent.
Note: Make sure that the decision on whether or not the parent record needs to be deleted will depends on the question "Does Parent Record already has several other children associated to it or not"

Hi,
You can use following sample code to create advance table columns dynamically with colum groups as well.
It assumes that you have already created advance table with ID EmpTblRN.
Below code returns column heading dynamically and if you keep your VO column names and attributes
same in all the cases (COL1, COL2.....) then you can easily use a loop to create advance table columns.
It is attaching VO attributes to OAMessageStyledText bean in the last.

Help with validation on a manually created tabbed form

I have a manually created tabbed form that I'm having trouble creating validation on.
The page is a Resource Staffing page where PM's can forecast the Resources that will be needed for various projects. The forecast can be for 12 - 18 months.
The requirement is to display a message to the user if they are trying to save a row without forecasting any time. It's possible they may not know how may Resources or the length of time needed when the row is created. If they respond that they want to save the row without time the MRU will create the record. If they answer that they do not want to save the row they are returned to the page without loss of information.
The month fields on the page are defaulting to 0 (zero).
I've updated the Save button to Redirect to URL and in the URL Redirect I have: javascript:confirmNoTimeSaved()

The 'CANCEL2' is just a Branch I'm using to branch back to the page without clearing Cache. I do have 'Cancel' button on the page and the Branch created for that clears the Cache.
While debugging the javascript I get into the VB Script on the testVal = MsgBox(isTxt,vbYesNo,isCaption) line and the browser crashes.
Can someone help with this requirement?
What additional information can I provide?

The code above is my attempt at this requirement, however, the browser crashes when it gets to the VBScript on the MsgBox call. I don't have to use this approach. Does someone have an idea how to solve this?

This can be done with Adobe Acrobat.
Certain kinds of document conversion (e.g. conversion of Word documents with heading styles) might do in CreatePDF too.
