Credit limit vs financial document

SAP GURUS :
I have taken the credit limit 20,000rs and financial doc value 10,000rs and created a sales order  for 11000rs.But 1000rs is not getting updated in Fin Doc or Credit Limit, plz let me know ASAP from where the system is taking this value?

Hi Bharathi Chary,
First of all I would lol to clarify on the process:
Financial document: Is baically a security which customer is giving as a Guarantee against his purchases / services he is taking from the company.
Security can be in the form of LOC or any other variety
Credit Limit: Credit limit will be reviewed from time to time based on the repayment given by customer over a period of time. In the initial stage credit limit will be the same as the Financial security provided by cutsomer and once the customer becomes regular and starts repaying regularly you can enhance the security even without financial security. Its a regular process.
Enhancing the credit limit will be similar to what companies do incase of credit cards.
Hope this povides understanding. revert back fr clarification.
Reward points if it helps

  • Does Sap automatically updates customer credit limit from Financial Doc?

    Hi Everyone
Does the Sap automatically updates the customer credit limit from the Financial document(Letter of credit) assigned to particular sales order.
I actually want to know that how can i configure the control at delivery order if i assigned the financial document at sales order.Does the system automatically creates or updates the credit limit of that customer to control over delivery order.
If yes then how and i only want to handle credit management in the case financial document(letter of credit).
    Regards;Vijay Kumar

    Hi,
    Hi,
    yes it does.
    Note some important points
Inautomatic credit control field "No Check field", you can enter the number of a requirement with which you can control when credit checks are not carried out. You can deactivate some or all checks. This allows fine tuning on an individual basis for defining credit-relevant transactions and when credit checks do not need to be carried out.
A check should be made to see whether the payment guarantee form has changed (letter of credit, payment card). If the payment guarantee form has not changed and if the old net value does not exceed the new net value, then no credit check is carried out.

  • Report for viewing credit limit block released documents

    Hello All,
Our client's requirement- credit limit check to be carried out and authorised persons can release the blocked orders.
But is there any report at month end to see how many documents were released and who released them  Is there any standard report for viewing these or ABAP has to develop them?  VKM2 transaction- released SD Documents would not show any released documents once billing is done i.e, once the sales documents is released it cannot be known who released it and when, how to track this?. so what can be the solution for this? Please suggest
    Regards,
    RAJ

    Dear Raja,
    Use VKM4 t code.
You can see both credit released sales orders and deliveries.
Put Overall credit status as D.
You can see how much value was released, when it was released. But with which user id it was released you cant see it.

  • Query for credit limit of customers of a particular type

    Hi,
We are using SAP B1 2007B PL04 and want to activate credit limit so that whenever a delivery or A/R breaches the credit limit then the document must go for approval. However we want this to be activated only when the customers are having group code say 110 and not for others.
So basically could you all help me with a query which would do the following
    1. check whether customer for whom delivery or A/R is being generated belongs to group having croup code 110
    2. check if the credit limit set in BP master  for that customer will be breached if the delivery or A/R is made (ie Current A/R or delivery amount when added to current outstanding will exceed the credit limit)
    3. if yes then will activate approval procedure and send the document for approval as per approval template
    Thanks

  • Prevent Credit Limit Change

How can i restrict some users from editing/changing credit/commitment limit (feild)value in BP Masterdata and still allow them to create new BP or edit other feild?
The reason for this is because some users are responsible for creation of BP Customer i.e. Sales and Marketing, but they're not supposed to be permited to change or set Credit limit for BP. Since they can change the Credit Limit to allow Documents with Credit Limit check restriction to be saved and return it back. OR is there is any other way i can handle this?

    Hi Adegoke,
As suggested by Gordon you can achieve it through SDK.  Alternatively you can use Transaction Notification stored procedure to restrict the update.
Define a user table where you have to list the users who are authorized to update the business partner fields.  Or as an alternative to this you can use hard coded user names in stored procedures.  SAP Business One maintains the change log for few of the entities.  So here you can query the change log table for Business Partner; to identify if the value for Credit Limit field is updated.  Once you find a change here you can verify if the user who is updating the record is authorized user and accordingly bypass the update.
I hope the above solution works for you!

  • Financial Documents and Credit Block

    Hi all,
I am facing an issue wit Financial documents. I have a customer code who has exceeded his credit limit. Now for one of the Sales Order he has submitted LC, which was created as Financial document in VX11N. This FD is linked to Sales order at Header and Item level as per the process. But still Credit check is happening and the Sales document is gettng blocked for Credit.
As per my understanding, if a FD is attached, system will check the value of the Sales document with the Value of the FD and if the order value exceeds the FD value, then the document will be blocked.
Where can be the issue. Please advise.

PATH: VA02sales order no-Go toItembilling document---payment guarentee procedure

  • Want to change payer and update credit limit data with out delete documents

    Hi Expert,
I have a problem that user feed 50-60 documents ( Sale order & delivery ) with wrong payer. Now we want to change payer and shift credit limit data ( open sale order , open delivery ) from old payer to new payer is any option for this.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Suresh Kumar

    Hi
Ideally in your case, you may have to delete the delivery documents and then recreate the deliveries after updating the payer in the sales order. This is because the source for the partner function in Delivery will be mostly updated as "from sales order" and hence it is not possible to change the payer in the delivery document.
In this case, you have to first find out the relevant delivery documents and delete them
Then you can change the partners in the sales order
Finally you can recreate the delivery documents.
However I would request you to do the following test before following this.
In the SO, change the payer without deleting the delivery. If the partner in delivery gets changed automatically then it is fine. You can ensure this by checking the delivery in DISPLAY mode.
If payer is not changing automatically then go to delivery in CHANGE mode and now check it. If the payer changes automatically now, you are spared with the pain of deleting and recreating deliveries once again.
If both of them fails, then the only way is to delete deliveries first, change payer in SO and then recreate deliveries.
This is applicable only if PGI is not yet done.

  • Credit Limit Check - Exclude Specific Documents / Credits from Exposure

    Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to exclude specific document types (credits) from the credit exposure calculation used during credit limit checks.
The ideia is to exclude "DG" credits in customer GL that are related to Trade Deal/Agreements to avoid over-exposure.
    Let me explain:
Currently, our credit management is configured to "Static" + "Open Items" for all credit groups in the CCA. Therefore, SAP calculates the credit exposure as:
              CE = OPEN ORDERS (S066) + OPEN DELIVERIES (S067) + OPEN BILLING (S067) + OPEN ITEMS (BSID)
Regarding "Open Items", I understand that SAP calculates the net value between all debits (receivables) and credits (returns, overpayments, etc...) already posted and not cleared in the Customer GL account. This rationale is correct since the credits are due to the customers and should be deducted from their exposure (i.e. "you may not pay them if you don't receive").
However, in our case, we also pay trade deals contracts (i.e. trade incentives and trade marketing investments) directly to costumers and apart from sales orders or credit memos. The flow is the following: (1) contracts are managed on a satelite system and interfaced to SAP; (2) contracts are created in the costumer GL as a credit (doc. type "DG"); (3) credits are sent to accounts payable for payment via F110.
Problem is that, contract credits volume is significant and are impacting customers credit exposure and limit check, resulting in greater exposure than allowed. That is, orders are being released while contract credits are open in the customer GL up to the max exposure, but when contracts are paid the exposure goes above the limit. For example:
    Day 1:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 30
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
              Credit Exposure: 80/100
    Day 2:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 100/100 (no additional orders are released)
    Day 3:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 70 (receivables: 70 / contracts: 0 - contracts are paid on day 3)
Credit Exposure: 120/100 (exposure is above customer limit since contracts that were being deducted were paid)
Any ideas or thoughts? Is something wrong in the explanation above? Should contracts credits be treated through special GL?
    Many thanks!

    Hello Julie,
the 2nd, System behavior (how do you interact the credit limit check (yes/no question) via DI?)
    Workaround:
Before you issue the Document, you may do a manual check: BP balance againt Credit Limit, and make deceision.

  • Does Simple Credit Limit Check Include Checking for Open Orders

    Hi all,
I have this issue here where I have configured the system to use simple credit limit check with error message. I did not use the standard/common automatic credit limit check since user insist on a pop-up warning and that the order could not be saved. But, I realized that it does not take open orders into account too although I have set the risk categories. Is it true and what solution is there for this issue then.
Thank you for all your help in inputs.

    Hi,
Please follow the below configuration settings for Simple credit check process.
Simple credit check: In simple credit check the system compares the credit exposure with payers credit limit. The
credit exposure results from the total of the net document value and the value of the open items.
We can set the following system responses at when the credit limit has been reached.
