CRM OLTP reporting

Hi,
I want to know more about CRM OLTP reporting.
I would like to know the basic architecture(Provide link if any), and how does the reporting really works .
Regards,
Rishav

Hi ,
You can do CRM Interactive reporting without use of BI system. You needs to have one Reporting client and one source client in CRM system.
you can find more information about the details steps in below link.
http://help.sap.com/bp_crm70/CRM_DE/HTML/index.htm
In this link look for document C41 .

  • CRM 6.0 ERMS OLTP Report set up

Has anyone used the CRM ERMS OLTP reports available?   Appreciate any comments or advice for set up based on our simple scenario for processing email.   We are on CRM 2007(s) Version 6.0 and at Support Pack Level 5
Our CRM ERMS system is configured to use the SAP SAPconnect Interface and store all emails in the tables of the SAP CRM System.  Every incoming email is routed to the 311 Agent Inbox,  where agents have access to all incoming emails.  Each OPEN incoming email in our system is processed by an agent and once interacted with are set to status COMPLETE.  We do not have any additional business rules defined for automated email processing based on content.
John Burtonu2019s book u201CMaximizing Your SAP CRM Interaction Centreu201D describes E-mail reports that can work with our configuration of ERMS using SAPconnect and Agent Inbox for email processing.
In Section 7.1.3 the Note on page 232, it is stated that for our current version (6.0), several CRM-based reports, known as CRM interactive reports, are available.  The reports are online transaction processing (OLTP) and the data is retrieved directly from the CRM system.
In Section 7.5.3 E-Mail Reports on page 258,  there is mention of a report called Average Handling Time (the actual amount of time where an agent was actively processing the email) that our Contact Centre would like to use.  We would like to start with the standard delivered report but when we (using IC Administrator access) click on the link there is no report available.  Any advice appreciated for set up or required authorization.
More Info:  Agent Processing of Email & Related BI Reporting we have available
All of our available BI reports are based on Service Ticket information.
Agents interact with the emails, processing replies by creating a correctly coded Service Ticket to wrap each e-mail.  The Service Ticket and associated contact account record act like a wrapper, containing both incoming and outgoing emails in the business context.  This allows the correct Organization ID and categorization to be associated to each email interaction via the Service Ticket.  Service tickets created when interacting with email are of interaction type u201CINTu201D.
This is consistent with the manner we drive out Organization and Categorization for our Service Tickets created by telephone calls which are of interaction type u201C202u201D.  These Service Ticket interaction types and statistical information is reportable via the SAP BI 311 reports.  We can tell the volume of Service Tickets created via interacting with email versus the volume created by telephone contact.  We do not have telephony integration with our CRM system at this time.  We do not have any email record data being transferred to BI at this time.

    Hi Donna,
How did you solve this issue? We would also like to report on emails but we are using Interactive Reporting and have no integration with BI. So I wonder if those reports are also possible to use via Interactive Reporting. I do not see any proper OLTP Data Source....
I would be very grateful for advise.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • OLTP reporting does not end

    Hi ;
I try to use CRM interactive reporting so I created an different BI client on CRM.On its logic , CRM client extracts data from BI client via virtual data provider (OLTP not OLAP). I found the function used on CRM from RSO2 so now I can debug it by break-point. but it works in parallel and this function is always called many times not only once and doesnt end (I tried on our test system namely there is a little data.)
Why does it take long time when I display data from RSA1 by not ending? What is the logic behind OLTP provider?
    Thanks.

    Hi!
To answer your question, you should provide some more details. What Reporting Type are you refering to (ACTIVITIES, OPPORTUNITIES, CAMPAIGNS etc.)? In what module did you put your breakpoint and at which line/statement? Also, I do not understand what you mean with "display data from RSA1".
Basically, when you execute a CRM Interactive Report (IR), this invokes one dedicated Reporting Type (previously called InfoType). You can see what delivered IR belong to which Reporting Type in transaction ORDYWB in the CRM client. Also, in this transaction you can find the name of the underlying BI Query that is used in the BI client to read the data. This query belongs to a virtual InfoCube, which is mapped to a transactional real-time DataSource. The function module that extracts the data for this DataSource can be found in transaction RSO2.
When the IR is executed in the CRM client, the query is executed via RFC in the BI client. Then, at runtime, the data is read via the mapped DataSource directly from the CRM client (again via RFC, with the function module that you can find in RSO2).
There are more DataSources involved for reading texts but they cannot be found the same way as described above.

  • CRM Interactive Reporting - No data, Random Errors - C41 followed

    Hi All,
We have followed like others on the SDN, the Config Guide C41 document for setting up CRM Interactive Reporting.
I have two clients on the same box, one for CRM, the other for Reporting (REP).
I have set up a myself connect and checked the OSS notes relating.
    I have ran /CRMBW/CONFIG_WIZARD on CRM and REP and all is green with a couple of warnings;
The unique BI client for system CRD is '260' (logical system 'CRDCLNT260')
Using CRM and BI reporting in the same client is not recommended
I have checked OSS note about myself system and all correct, but this warning still comes up? Is this an issue?
    I also get the following;
Source system connection using RFC destination CRDCLNT260 (should be CRDCLNT260_T)
The connection is a Trusted connection following some notes & comments from the above warning. I had also created another RFC for this as CRD_260_T and made this a trusted as the previous, but this gave more warnings.
BI_TCO_ACTIVATION is all green and i have checked every object in the REP client.
After all this, if I run RSA3 in the CRM client and the OLTP transaction data sources bring back 0 records. I have checked the OSS notes around the myself and the authorisations for the Background user and for the admin user and all ok. I have run a trace also and nothing has come up.
I also get errors in the Web UI when i try to run a report. It asks to check BSP_WD_EXCEPTION_DISPLAY in tx SAAB. I have followed the note on setting this up and this provides some error around a method XML_TO_ITAB. The method is active and syntax correctly. Is this a red herring?
Can anyone shed any light on anything that is not in the guide, but is crucial for this to work?
    Many thanks Geoff.

    Hi Geoff,
firstly, you seem to have done quite well so far if you completed the config wizard successfully. The warning about reportin in the same client being not recommended comes because you apparently also configured the BW client (REP) to be a client for interactive reporting. The wizard is supposed to run in the source client alone, not also in the BW client. But don't worry, it should not do any harm.
The warning Source system connection using RFC destination CRDCLNT260 (should be CRDCLNT260_T) has the same reason: You run the wizard in the BW client, where the BW client is connected to itself via myself connection CDRCLNT260. Just leave it that way and don't change anything.
Technically everything seems to be correctly configured. Now you are wondering why you don't see any data. This can have various reasons. Most likely, your user is not assigned as the person responsible to any sales document. For this to work, your user must be assigned to a business partner, and that business partner must be assigned to a suitable place in the CRM org model either as employee or manager. The employee must be the person responsible to all documents he wants to see in the reports, or a manager of such employees.
The last problem about the Web UI is nothing I can help with. I propose you open another post on that.
    Best regards

  • Error while installing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Report Authoring Extension set up

    HI Experts,
I am trying to install Report Authoring extension tool to work with MS CRM 2015 online reports but unable to install, getting below error even though I am having VS 2013, SQL Server 2014 and Data tools for VS 2013 installed on my machine.
Please help me to fix this issue.
When I double click the error getting below error.
Error : Business Intelligence Development Studio is not installed for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
When I click the details , getting below error.
    Thanks
    Baji Rahaman

The Report Authoring Extensions (any version) don't support VS 2013. Currently the Crm 2015 Report Authoring Extensions support VS 2012 and VS 2010, and the Crm 2013 Report Authoring Extensions supports only VS 2010.
By the way, the error you posted suggests you're trying to install the Crm 2011 Report Authoring Extensions

  • CRM Interactive reporting, error while running RSA1

    Hello Experts,
I had configured CRM 7 with BI 7 system for reporting. Now I am trying to implement CRM interactive reporting using a different client (as reporting client) of the same CRM system.
While my CRM - BI scenario is working perfect, I am not able to configure the CRM interactive reporting using 2 different clients of the same system, When I am trying to run tx RSA1 from CRM reporting client, I get error "Logical system name has been changed".
Can anyone help me in this?

    Hi Vicky,
There must be some error in your logical system assignment.
I request you to run these reports  Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK ( In CRM Client ) and     Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK_BI( Reporting Client) in order to resolve the errors. These reports will clearly point out the errors.
Have a look at Note 1263075 - CRM Interactive Reporting Configuration Check for the reports.

  • SAP CRM Interactive Reports in Interaction Center

    Hi
I am trying to use SAP CRM Interactive reports. I am aware that we don't need a separate  BW serve for it. Do we need a separate local BI client or can we just use them through the IC_MANAGER Role?
What are the settings to enable interactive reports?
How can I create Interactive reports through the Analytics role?
    All help is greatfully appreciated.
    Thanks

  • CRM Interactive Reports - CRM and BI Reporting client same

    Hello all,
I am setting up CRM Interactive reports in CRM 7.0 wherein the CRM client and the BI Reporting client are both the same. I know it is not recommended by SAP, but our requirement is very less.
I am following the steps as mentioned in the Best Practices C41. But, when I am trying to set up a source SAP system in RSA1(Section 4.14 of C41), i get an error saying that 'Source system XXXCLNTYYY already exists'. This is the same system which has already come under the BI node in RSA1.
Since we are using the same client for both the systems, how do I rectify this error?
    Please help!
    Regards
    Debolina

    Dear Srinivas,
One of the purposes of CRM Interactive reporting is quick-enablement of frequently used reports. Ofcourse these differ in all aspects with BI reports. These are faster and accurate when the data population is small.
It is not suggested to use dedicated BI server for Interactive reporting.
Anyways we can use both Interactive and BI reports simultaneously as per your client's requirement.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • SAP CRM Interactive reporting Enhancement Workbench - How does it work?

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to enhance the SAP given reporting areas in CRM Interactive Reporting tool. I have the SAP documentation, I know I have to use transaction code CRMD_IREW; but I am not sure of the rest of the steps SAP has given.
Does anyone has any experience with this; can anyone share their thoughts and possible configuration steps and if possible please give a brief overview of how the fields get added to the reporting area, do they get added to the datasources first and then we need to manually add them to the virtual cubes and also in BEx query and then it gets reflected in Reporting area or how does it work?
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks & Regards,
    SRV

    Hi,
In general, we add enhanced field to extract structure by appending method.
later we  can implement logic at COMD or by using BADI to fill the data for added field.
do test run at RSA3 and replicate into bw side.
About CMOD Logic, WIth help abap epxert you need to find relation between data source base tables and added field base table. then only we can fill data to into it.
Can we know what is your data source?
Which field you want add from which table?
    Thanks
