Crypto export control issues when redistributing the JRE
Does anyone have experience or knowledge about export control procedures when redistributing the JRE (or openssl for that matter) since it does contain crypto API's? I have tried to understand the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) but I'm still unclear on this if I were to distribute from freshmeat or tucows. There are alot of references to an ECCD-5D002 list of software that I cant find. I believe the EAR states that if the software is on that list, that it is ok for exportation without review. I was hoping someone in the developer community could answer this foe me.
Thanks for the link. It answered some questions although not the one I'm asking here. I basically just need to know if I can bundle the JRE into an application and distribute it over the Internet or what I might need to do in order to do that.

I'm using a mid 2014 13" rmbp. I reinstall the Yosemite due to the wifi issue, when finished, the iMovie was not installed, I try to download it from app store, but it's not free. How can I get iMovie back?
It's something to do with the main user account (not iTunes account) on my Mac because I logged in with another account and it downloaded fine, I installed it on the HDD and even though the date in App Store was 16th October 2014, it is the full installer of 10.10.2.
To try to resolve this problem, I have copied the installer app elsewhere and deleted it but App Store still will not allow me to download it with my main user account yet just allowed me to update iTunes.
I had a brainwave last night that it might have been related to me changing the default downloads folder to one not on my boot drive (to save disk space on my main boot drive) but having changed it back, tried again, rebooted and tried yet again, deleted my App Store preferences. nothing has worked. -
IDcs3 export PDF issues when viewing in Preview
I appear to be having issues when exporting PDFs from IDcs3. I have drop shadows on text and objects. When i export as a PDF and view it in 'Preview', I get a shadow that extends the area of the object. Drop shadows are not defined, they just have a block blur effect.
The thing is when I transfer the file over to my MS machine, Acrobat displays the PDF perfectly. Is this a problem with Preview or is it something to do with the export PDF settings.
CheersPreview is not capable of handling the advance features of exported PDFs.

TimeZone issues when starting the OEM Agent since summertime switch Germany
Hello gurus,
since yesterday when the system time has swithched to summer time in Germany I have below errors when starting the agents on our systems:

resetTZ failed.
The agentTZRegion in:
/oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties
is not in agreement with what the agent thinks it should be.
Fix your environment.
Pick a TZ value that corresponds to time zone settings listed in:
/oracle/product/agent10g/sysman/admin/supportedtzs.lst
I checked the TZ settings:

which is the reason for the difference of 120min as shown by the resetTZ I assume because AIX system time says MEZ -1 and emd.properties finds GMT+1 which gives a difference of 120min.
I already applied the patch 5632264 to the agent, but the issue still exists.
When I manipulate the envirement TZ to GMT+01:00 the agent starts again, but this is no solution. Also patching the TZ of UNIX/AIX is no solution because this will cause other issues.
Any ideas how I can get the agent working again?
ps. I already tried a reinstallation of the Agent, but the issue still exists.

CS3: PDF-Export Transparency Issue when Image-Links are missing
I have a Layout with a transparent Frame on the top most Layer. For this Workflow-Step I do not have access to the original Image-Links, so I guess that all I see are the embedded Preview-Pictures and InDesign reports that all Object-Links are missing.
If I export this Layout as JPG, the resulting JPG looks like the WYSIWYG in InDesign, which is suitable for this workflow-step. However when I export as pdf, the Frame is not transparent anymore. Instead it is filled with white color and covers the rest of the Layout. In Adobe Reader I can actually select the wrongly covered Picture at the border of the frame and copy&paste it somewhere and it looks fine.
When I provide the original Frame-Picture and repair the missing Link in InDesign, PDF-Export works fine.
I have installed & updated InDesign on a new Mac OS X 10.4.11, so all settings should be default.
Transparency Blend Space is set to CMYK. I tried all default PDF-Export Profiles and tried a lot of different settings in the pdf-export dialogue including different PDF-File-Versions, Simulate Overprint on/off, Color-Conversion disabled, disabling Picture-Compression and much more. I also tried to Print a PS-File and then use the Distiller: same result.
I use Adobe InDesign CS3 V 5.0.2 and tried Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 to display.
Any Ideas?Transparency flattening REQUIRES having access to the high-resolution images to get good results. One of the slogans I teach printers is "Fatten before you flatten." Meaning, replace the low-res images with high-res images.

Performance issue when using the same query in a different way

When I execute the same select using execute immediate like:

TextInput control misbehaves when using the East-Asian fonts
I am a little curious about this issue and I would like to get some help from our community. The issue is about fonts when using East Asian languages.I have all East-Asian language installed on my computer (WIN SERV 2003)and I let my flex application to use the local system font(font is not embedded) to get the Japanese character. When I start typing the characters into the Flex textinput control everything works properly as expected until I reach the boundary of the textinput control, the characters gets displayed outside the textinput and I would need to press the enter key to get the fonts inside the textinput . Have anyone experienced such problems when using fonts for Japanese, Chinese etc? Refer the image for more clarity.Please help
This is the expected behavior for Japanese in my experience. The reason, I think, is that for Japanese characters the text input process has two steps. First the basic phonetic characters are entered and then these are selectively changed into kanji characters which can shorten the final input text. So it makes sense to calculate the textbox height after the text has been finally input, not while it is still being input. The enter key is the event that signals the text should be submitted. I don't know about Chinese, but for Japanese, this is the standard way of handling text input in my experience.

Issue When cancel the SD-Billing Document
Hi,
When i cancel the billing document It should debit the Sales account with posting key 40 & credit the Customer Account with posting key 12 (Reverse invoice).
But in my case it is debiting the Sales account with Posting key 40 and Credit the customer with posting key 11(Credit memo) which is wrong posting key in this case.
Kindly advice me how to correct this wrong posting key issue and how can i fix this with correct posting key 12 instead of 11?

Go to OB40 and double click on the required Transaction. Place your mouse on the G/L Account and click on top "Posting Key". Check what is maintained there.

Issue when processing the variable screen Bex 7.0
Hi,
We have a issue where in a query the variables that the user selects are being ignored and the query runs wide open.
Esentially what happens is when you open a query, execute it and then close and again open a different query, the varaibles from previous query selection are carried and even if you change the variable values the user selects are neglected and query rund wide open.
Please let me know if you have encountered such an issue.

However, you can check with SAP GUI patch level, Things are working fine with patch level 8 for SAP GUI 710.
There are lot of compatability issues here and there with GUI710 with MS Excel 2003..

Issue when Calling the RFC from external system
Hi,
I have created one RFC, in which I am using one function module to get the material customer status.
Functional Module name is "QC01_BATCH_VALUES_READ".
When I run this in SAP, it is giving a value for Cusotmer Status. But when this RFC is called from .Net system it is not returning any value for this field.
Even I used a different function module 'CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS' for the same, in this also in SAP it is doing good, but when it is called from .Net, the program is giving dump.
Please help me to resolve this issue

Issue can be either in the .NET program or in the RFC destination creation.
1)
Check whether data types of .NET program which is calling the SAP function module are correct.
If there are issues with data types, program dont report if you dont so explicitly.
2) Check whether RFC destination you are giving in your .NET program is correctly configured in
SAP , verify by testing the same.
Apart from above two reasons, I dont see any other major reasons for not getting correct results.

Confused why my video exports at 640x480 when all the clips are 1280x720
All of my clips are from a canon 7d shot at 1280 60fps mostly surfing so I can slow it down. I added one clip which is at 640 to the project and when I exported the project in H.264 or any other setting it is only at 640. So I went back removed the clip and tryed to export again and it still only does 640 even though all the clips are now at 1280. I would hate to have to edit all over again. Thanks for any help.
Thanks I realized I can click the wrench at the bottum right of the inspector box and change the properties back to 1280 so that helped but I couldn't change the FPS they are stuck on 30 not the end of the world. I think I must have accidently put a 640 clip as the first clip when I dropped into the timeline and even though I deleted it, it kept everything at that setting . It would be nice if you could change the properties after the fact.

Very strange issue when displaying the Account PDF Factsheet.
We have a very odd situation.
We have one users (user1) who has the same business role as everyone else in the office. They can enter the UI (CRM 7), display an account and then click on the PDF Factsheet option. It seems to process and then simple says 'Done', but there's no PDF document displayed. At first I thought it was an Adobe issue, but, if someone in the office (user2) logs into SAP on user1's PC (in the same Windows session), they can perform the same process in the UI and the PDF is displayed, so it can't be a PC related issue, and must somehow be related to user1's SAP profile or role in some way.
Comparing User1 and User2's roles displays no differences, and their SU01 entries are also the same.
Can anyone come up any recommendations as to what it could be?.
I've more or less exhausted all my options.
JasonI think we have discoverd what is causing the problem.
In CRM 7, when you view an Account (BP) the first assignment block to be show is the account details block. If you have this block collapsed (not expanded) or not on the screen at all then PDF fact sheet does not work. If I then expand the Account details block and review the PDF Fact Sheet, it then displays perfectly.
I guess there must be some dependancy of the PDF Fact sheet on the Account details block. I placed a breakpoint (normal and external) in the method of the class CL_UIU_PRN_ACCOUNT, but this code never gets called when the Account details block is collapsed. I'll have to find out what code is executed before this class/method is called.

Issue when starting the config tool

When I have started the Config tool, the "SAP J2EE engine - Config tool" screen comes up. Then I have a pop up which says that "Do you want to use the default DB settings". When given "Yes", it goes connecting to database. During this time I receive the following error message in the command prompt and config tool screen disappears.
