Crystal not displaying UDF

Hello Experts,
I got a UDF on the OPQT table. When created the Crystal report, I added it to the template but when previewing the report the field is bland (even that there is information stored on it).
I've tried everything but can't find the problem.
Do you have any thoughts on this?

In reality there are two UDF and none of them are displayed in SAP.
1 is Alphanumeric with a set of valid values.
2 is Alpahnumeric -regular... (free text is entered).
I do not know what is convert or anything...

Crystal Report V9 do not display decimal value HELP!

I have a field in Informix data type is Decimal(6,2)when i used the field in the report, the decimal is not displayedexample: field1 = 305.50, in crystal report it only displayed 305.00, already setup the formatting. any possible solution?, please help!

have check all the options in my pc and crystal report, all seems to be ok, and have tried displaying an informix field decimal(5,2), and it displays ok (154.23) in my crystal report, but when trying to display the field decimal(6,2) crystal report display decimal up to 99.99, but when it reaches 100+, it will not display the decimal, very weird, help.have tried the formula as well but still doesnt work.any other possible solutions, pls help, thanks.

BEx hierarchies not displayed in Crystal report parameters

Hi All,
I am trying to using a Bex query that has a cost center hierarchy with a variable that allows users to select specific nodes or even cost centers. In BEx reports, this query works fine and gives the users the view of the cost centres in a hierarchial manner. However, in Crystal reports, the query provides a drop down menu displaying a simple list of all the cost centres (not in a hierarchial manner). This confuses the user as to which element is a node and which is a cost centre
Kindly suggest how can we achieve the cost centre hierarchy to appear in the parameters in Crystal.

Crystal Reports not displaying embedded OLE Objects in browser

I am building an .net web application. I am using VS2013 and have my report displaying ok in report viewer in the browser. Only issue I have is i have embedded images, checkboxes and empty checkboxes, to signify if a user has selected certain criteria. However, these images do not display at all. Instead, in Firefox, 'Image' is displayed in its place.
Please help. How can I get these images to display without having to try and figure out how to stream it to pdf and show pdf instead of the default crystal report viewer.

Detail sections not displayed with Crystal Reports 2010 Runtime (SP1 also)

I have migrated a VB app from RDC 9 to Crystal Reports 2010 and I'm experiencing a very strange issue.
In a report with 6 nested groups, the detail part is splitted in 7 section, and the whole detail has the "keep together" flag activated. At runtime, some detail sections are not displayed. There is no suppress condition on the detail section. The missed sections are those near bottom of the page. I suppose that when there is no room to print the section on the page and it should go on the next page, Crystal forget to display it.
I exported the report in Crystal format and reopened with Crystal Reports designer and the missed section are displayed.
The same report is displayed correctly using RDC 9.
If I show the group tree and select the missed section group, the section is correctly displayed on a separate preview page.
I've some screenshot to better demonstrate the problem.
I hoped SP1 will resolve the issue but unfortunately it didn't.

This issue has been escalated for a fix. tracking number is TE5000325237. For anyone wanting to attach to this thread with a similar issue, please note the behavior as decribed in the TE below. If the description does not match your issue exactly, please create a new thread.
Description - Steps to Reproduce;
1) Run the report in the CR 2008 designer - note the second page
2) Run the report in VS2010 app using CRVS2010 SP1:

3) Look at page 2 and compare to page 2 from the CR2008 designer (also, see attached compare.jpg file which is a screen shot of both views) - note missing group on page 2
4) Export to PDF, DO, RTF - same issue

First of all we are not able to see my User define filed in report composer except for light dimensions type. Only we are getting Light Dimension Data Item type only we are not getting Dimension Attribute Data item type.

Formatted Search icon is not displaying for the UDF

I have fifteen UDF's in the Marketing document and I have applied formatted search on each of the fifteen.
But for one paticular UDF formatted search icon is not displaying even though the formatted search is active on the field but it is working fine for other field of same kind in same scenario.
Please help me.

Crystal Report 2013 - Data not displayed

Dear All
I created one report connecting to SAP Tables directly.
a) I made a new connection - connecting to SAP tables directly.
b) It is connected successuly. It shows all related tables correctly.
c) I selected a table MARA
d) I selected the fields MATNR, ERNAM (for example)
Completed the report.
But on executing, the data is not displayed.. It idspayes 0 records selcted.. ( no errors also )
Can someone help me... Why the dta is is not fetched...

Symptom
 No data returns when refreshing a report in Crystal Report.
 Reports based off an SAP Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), ECC, ERP... or ABAP functions returns no data in Crystal Reports.

 Crystal Reports 2008
 SAP Crystal Reports 2011
 BusinessObjects Solution for SAP Integration for XI 3.1
Reproducing the Issue
 Verify from the SAP Customer Relationship Management System that the table or function to which Crystal Report will connect to has data.
 In Crystal Report, create a new report using the connection: SAP Table, Cluster, or Function.
 The new connection will use the Open SQL driver to connect to the table of SAP System.
 Add database fields to the Details section of the report.
 Refresh the report.
 The report returns no data.
Cause
 This is an SAP Netweaver Gateway issue that prevents Crystal Reports from retrieving data.
 When looking at the Crystal Reports logs, you will notice the SAP Gateway Connection to the SAP Netweaver System fails with the error:

UDF side panel will not display

I toggle on/off the UDF display on the Item master data form and the side panel will not display. Has anyone seen this before. This was after some udfs were added via the api. I'm wondering if something got corrupted.

Report does not display data

I have a crystal XI report that when run will not display data; if the report should be six pages that is the number of pages that will be generated. The problem is that the pages show up as blank. If the blank pages are exported the exported file will contain data, if the report is sent to a printer the report will contain data, but no data is ever displayed on the screen. This report has been loaded on 15 other computer and runs perfectly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way if this user logs in remotely and runs this report it will display data.

A few ideas;
1) Make sure you are working with [SP 6|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe].

2) Try different resolutions
3) Try to see if there is an updated video driver
4) Make sure there is a default printer driver installed.
5) Run [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip] see if there are any differences in dlls loading on a box that works and the one that does not (CR and non CR dlls).

Report does not display correctly when exported to adobe

Hopefully someone can help me. I am currently running Crystal Reports profession version 10. I have applied service pack 1 and recently service pack 6. I am having a problem with the display of a report within adobe. My report is a bit complex. It is a 8.5x11 one page landscape report. It is set up in a grid format with multiple lines and boxes drawn on it. Here is the report information: Report Definition----

I use the report within a web project. The user requests the report and it returns to the user, an adobe file of the report. However, this is where I am having trouble. On my local development machine, the report displays fine. In CR developer, the report displays fine. When I export the report to Adobe from the CR Developer, it exports fine. BUT when I run the report from my web site, the adobe file that is returned is broken up over 42 pages. What seems to be actually happening is the return adobe file seems to think that the page size is 2in X 4in.. Where it got that, I don't know.The server running IIS is a windows server 2003. It has adobe 8.0 reader on it. I also have Crystal 10 Server Distribution loaded on it. And I have loaded CR10 Service pack 6 on that as well. By the looks of it, you may have a problem with your fonts.

Eurosign not displayed correctly when picked from database

Hi ..
I'm having a problem getting a eurosign stored in an Oracle Database to be displayed correctly in my Crystal Reports 11.5.
When using the built in (preview) Crystal Viewer, the eurosign is displayed correctly, but when I want to print the report directly to a printer or to export it to pdf the eurosign is displayed as a box?
It only haapens when i need to pick the eurosign from the database. If I insert in a textbox on the report, it will show correctly.

What is the source of the text stored in the database. I ran into an issue a ways back where someone was copying news articles from a website into their database and the euro symbol would not display correctly (unless the option HTML Text Interpretation was used).
You might want to do a quick check to see if it is stored as an ascii character using a formula similar to the following;
asc(mid({database, x, 1}))
where x = the position of the euro symbol in the string.
The formula result should be 128.

Substitution string used in custom Report column name does not display in PDF version of report

I am using Apex 4.2.6.00.03, Apex Listener 2 via Glassfish4 and have set up all my applications and reports on this system. We previously used Oracle 10.2, with Apache with a custom fopping document.
My issue is that I have a report that has custom column headings using a substitution string to pull in the begin or end date for the report. When the report is run and displayed, the column headings appropriately display the date. However, when I try to set up the Print to PDF option, the column headings are not displaying correctly.
Is it possible to use a substitution string in the column heading? I am able to use the substitution string in the Page Header and Page Footer and those display correctly.
In the Report Attributes setup I have set the "Strip HTML" to Yes and I have four columns that are using the &"ITEM NAME". string. See below for actual display:
The report column headings in APEX displays correctly (bold is the substitution detail):

In the Print Attributes setup, when I get to the Report Columns section, the Heading column displays the headings as set up in the Report Attributes custom and I am not able to edit these names. See below:
In the version of the report that is Printed to PDF I get the following for display:
Fund Account Description Balance %26amp;P347_BEGIN_DATE. Budget/Goal %26amp;P347_FY. YTD Actual %26amp;P347_END_DATE. Ending Balance %26amp;P347_END_DATE.

First, the misspelled word is a test object and not data.
Second, all data display correctly.
Third, text object is displaying the old misspelled word.
Fourth, I have eliminated the possibility that problems in of my pdf export routine cause this issue by exporting directly from Crystal Reports Viewer. I print the report to the crystal report viewer. The report looks good. The text object is spelled correctly. Then I click the Crystal Reports viewer's export button in the left upper corner and I export to both EXCEL and PDF. The excel export looks good. The pdf export is misspelled. All the export occurs internally in Crystal reports.
Fifth, I found outthat all users who have this problem have the ADOBE PDF writer installed. I am just suspicious that ADOBE writer is interferring with Crystal export
Sixth, I cannot recreate this problem on any of our development and test machines. It only happens on end-user laptops.
Seventh, I changed the name of the report that had this problem and created a new version and installed on end-user laptop. The behaviour still persists. User saved the report as both RPT and PDF. RPT export looks good. PDF version has the spelling problem. Data on both reports is up-to-date and good. I copied the same RPT export to my PC and exported it to PDF, the pdf looks good. That is why I think something on the end-users laptops is causing the export to use some cached template.
One more thing I did was to change the report name in VB.NET project, recreated a new package and installed on end-user's laptop. The same exact problem is still there.
I have worked with Crystal Reports more than 15 years and I have never such a weird behaviour before. I know this sounds very weird. We are all baffled by what is happening.

Subreport not displaying correctly

I posted this in General yesterday to no avail.
I'm having some trouble getting my subreports to display correctly. It is a simple subreport to organize a certain database into reporting the correct information. I expect the subreport to look exactly like it does in crystal reports, but when I view the report in InfoView it shows the first two characters of each line of information and nothing to the right of that.
E.g. I expect this

When I hover above the field, it shows that my field is intact, but it will not display the information I need correctly.

It appears that the code I posted is not the problem at all.Â In the tutorial I mentioned in my OP, it states to use the Report Wizard when creating the 7 subreports, which I did.Â However, when I created my subreports, I selected 4 tables (1 containing the scheduled items and 3 lookup tables).Â Apparently this must've caused a problem, although I don't know why.Â I created a test subreport that only used the 1 table containing the scheduled items, and the data showed up.Â The problem now is that I need the data in the lookup tables to display on the calendar report.
