CS3 not responding on fresh Win7 Pro install

It was working fine before on my Windows 7 64-bit. I re-installed Windows 7 Pro, installed CS3 from the cd and now as soon as I launch it I get "not responding." I won't even let me put in the serial number. Any suggestions?

Definitely, probably a font corruption and or font data base.
Or a plug in or simply a conflict in your users preferences.
There is a way to find out, drg the users preferences to the desktop with all applications not running.
The restart he computer. Now see if all is well. You will have to reset many of the applications you haveand may have to reenter some serial numbers.
Unfortunately there may still be other issues besides the users preference such as the font issue.
It could even be something simpler it could be a cache problem for this user. You can clean things up with Cocktail, cost money, or Cache Out X which is free.

Premiere Pro CS3 Not Responding on new System

Can someone please help me out here?!?!? I just bought a brand new laptop. It haves an i7 processor, 8gb of ram, 1 tb of hard drive space, as well as runs on 64 bit with Windows vista 8.1 I believe. As we all may know Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 runs as a 32 bit program. Every time I try and open up a project I have already been working on prior to my new system and try to locate where the specific files are for it to link/synchronize, the Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 program freezes up and "Not Responding" appears causing me to press "ctrl, alt, and delete" to end the program using the task manager every time. Shouldn't I be able to run a 32 bit program on a 64 bit system? What can I do? Please help me!!! Thank you in advance!!!

CS3 Not Responding

I installed, registered, activated etc. Photoshop CS3 on my laptop today and when I went to start it up, it went to about the point where it said 'staring plug-ins...' and then I got the Program Not Responding message and it shut down, before I even got to open a file or even get to that page. I only had the blue blox with text and the grey background, then it shut down. Some help, please?

Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

Photoshop CS3 "not responding"

I can open the program and it will allow me to open a blank file. But, when I try to open anything else (photo, graphics, etc.) the program freezes and I end up having to force quit the program because it shows up as "not responding".
This is my first mac and I've only had it a few months. I am lost. Any help is greatly appreciated.
ETA- yesterday the internet ran very slow, at times it completely froze up. it appears to be better today after i restarted the machine. i don't know if these are related.

It could be bad TWAIN or WIA drivers, Printer drivers, corrupt fonts, buggy plugins (has happened twice), etc.
The most command hang at launch is due to printer drivers timing out (we're just asking for the default printer name and basic information - we have no idea why some drivers sit and twiddle their thumbs for 20 minutes, but they do).
TWAIN is no longer installed by default in CS4, but could be a problem if you installed the TWAIN plugin.
WIA is active by default, but doesn't cause problems that often.
If you have a lot of fonts, especially a lot of off-brand or freeware fonts - one or two bad ones could cause a serious slowdown (as our font parsing tries to make sense of them).
Corrupt plugins usually crash, but we've seen a few buggy plugins do nasty things at launch (one tried to contact a server for activation - that got fixed PDQ).
That's all I can think of offhand.

Dreamweaver CS3 "Not Responding" every 15 seconds or so

I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows Vista, though on searching Google the problem seems to be occuring occasionally on CS4 and CS5 too. Working in code, all activity stops and (Not Responding) appears in the title bar. Nothing can be done for about 10 seconds, when suddenly everything works again. I've tried closing Dreamweaver and deleting the WinFileCache-AD76BB20.dat file and restarting. All works fine for a few minutes then the problem returns.
I'm currently adding twitter/facebook/google plus buttons to my pages, each of these requires its own script.
Can anyone suggest any possible solutions to this problem?

Any chance of anyone having a guess at what I might explore to resolve this issue? At the moment Dreamweaver operates similar to junk - i.e. useless to the nth degree.

Adobe XI slow or not responding on Windows 8 Pro

I am running Adobe XI on Windows 8 professional. Opening a document in XI it is either slow to respond or I receive a (not responding) message. This experience takes place on a regular basis since I have upgraded to XI. I am completely dissatisfied with the upgrade. Is there a way to go back to an earlier version?

To go back you would have to uninstall and then reinstall the old version. However, you might check to be sure you have updated AA XI before going further.

Win7 pro install - missing CD/DVD driver on W500

I just received this W500 and it came with a 320 GB SATA drive. I have a 256 GB SSD drive that I want to use in this laptop. So I extracted the win7 serial number, and downloaded the win 7 pro 64 bit ISO thinking I could rebuild win7 on the SSD drive.
Just after getting in the win7 GUI it prompts me for a CD/DVD driver. Not sure what to do .....
Any help would be appreciated ......

That not-very-informative error message usually means a corrupted download, bad burn, or faulty install media (in the case of a USB install).
Double check your ISO download with the SHA1 hash, re-download, re-burn, ...

HP Laserjet Pro 200 Printer Not Responding Wirelessly to Macbook Pro 13 Using Mavericks OS

My printer has worked fine wirelessly since upgrading to Mavericks in Jan 2014. Last week my printer stopped responding both wirelessly and with the cable. I can print wirelessly from my I-Phone and I-Pad. I have reset the printers (deleted them) and reinstalled the printer software (downloaded software for Mavericks), and now the printer and scanner functions work only with the cable installed. I can once again print wirelessly using my I-Phone and I-Pad, but not from my MacBook. I am connected to the same network, and I am able to access the Internet and have all other network functionality, I just can't get the Mac to recognize the printer over the network. During setup, it doesn't even recognize the printer over the network. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

I see by your post that you are unable to get the printer recognized on the Mac through the wireless network.
I will be happy to help you.
Try and ping the printer on the Mac.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, then click applications, then Network Utilities.
(you can go to the finder and type in Network Utilities)
Click on PING from the bar at the top of the window.
Enter the IP Address of the printer and click Ping.
Did you get any replies back?
If you are not able to add the printer by the default button from the printers and scanners window then you need to make sure the router supports bonjour packets and can do multicasting. You can contact your router company.
The router might have just had a update causing this issue.
Since the Mac is not seeing the printer automatically then you could try manually adding the IP address in.
You can add the printer as a IP Protocal to see if it will work.
Go to the Apple, system preferences, printers and scanner, (some systems print and fax) click the + button, then select the IP icon across the top, type in the printer's IP address, select jet direct below and then apply the settings.
What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Some drivers not working in fresh XP SP1 install

My latest machine is set up for dual boot. The general use OS is XP SP2. The nForce drivers were installed from unified package 5.10. All hardware is working fine, and no problems.
The OS for digital recording however, is a different story. I'm using XP SP1 installed in a different partition. SP1 is usually recommended over SP2 for music multitracking purposes. I installed the exact same nForce drivers from the same 5.10 package. Device Manager is reporting two problems. The multimedia audio device drivers are not installed, and the Realtek Ethernet drivers are not installed. The nVidia Ethernet device works with no problem. I did not uncheck any options during the driver install.
So basically, I have no sound, and am only showing one Ethernet device. I've tried re-installing the drivers, but get the same result. Also tried updating the audio drivers through Device Manager, pointing the wizard directly at a folder full of the 4.57 nForce audio drivers which I've downloaded as well. The wizard doesn't even see them.
Funny how my recording OS is the one with no sound... hehe. Although I doubt it, are there any known issues with unified package 5.10 and XP SP1? Anyone have an idea of what might be happening?

I do not know of any issue between SP2 and 5.10. It could just be a bad install of WinXP. I would do a fresh install on that partition again. It should solve the problem.

Core Audio Drivers not Found Error (no Logic Pro Installed)

I am receiving the following error in GarageBand 08 and was hoping someone might be able to assist.
When recording with a USB mic in GarageBand 08 (MXL USB.006) I sometimes get the following error: (Core Audio Drivers not Found). The error occurs after I have completed a recording session and removed the USB mic. (The error occurs regardless of if I close GB before removing the mic; but only occasionally)
In checking the GB preferences, the Built-In audio option has disappeared from the drop down menu entirely for both Audio Input and Audio Output (although it still can find the USB mic if I reattach). In the Utilities folder, audio preferences, the Built-In audio option is also missing from the drop downs. (Not grayed out -- missing).
In researching the problem, it looks like a similar problem occurs with the Logic Pro suite but I don't have that installed on my Mac (and never have). In contacting MXL support, they noted that it was a problem with Leopard and they didn't have a fix.
At this point, I'm looking for either (1) a fix I've missed in my research or (2) an easy way to reinstall/replace/find the drivers without having to restore my system from backup. I've received the error three times now and restoring from back up - which clears the error and restores the drop down - is getting tiresome.

Thank you for the suggestion! I believe that was the issue the first time I lost the drivers. Unfortunately, even resetting the inputs and closing GB before disconnecting doesn't guarantee my Built-In audio won't disappear. Thank you for trying though!

Imovies not responding on mac book pro

Thanks for the reply, in the end I deleted the projects from the project files, it works fine now, one of them must have been corrupted?
It does mean though all the projects have gone but as I convert them to movie files and save them I have not lost them, I have just lost the ability to edit the master versions

IPhoto part of ilife '11 will not start after fresh Lion re-install

iphoto 9 will not start. It is from my ilife 11 disc.
Oh, I buy a new hard drive. I install lion successfully. All software works as it should. iphoto is installed then automatically updated by the auto update. Now iphoto will not open and says that it needs updating. I run automatic update and it says everything is up-to-date.
I found another post about downloading the iphoto 9 update and running that but it will not let me. So my iphoto is useless at the moment.
Can anyone help or has any ideas. I do not want to re-buy iphoto 9 on Apps store when I already have it (in theory anyhow)
