Currency UNIT at row level

Hi Experts,
I am using BI 7 and my reports are showing Currency Unit for key figures at the top (in row header only)
Whereas I want them to be shown with the Key figure Values.
Current View                             Desired
plant    Sales                         plant     Sales
          USD
US01     100                            US01     100 USD
US02     50                             US02     50  USD
Is there any setting where I can achieve the above feature.
Appreciate your help.
Best Regards,
Pratap Sone

Hi Pratap,
    Please refer the following link for query properties.
[Currency and Unit Display in Business Explorer|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/08/81b98895e911d4b2ca0050da4c74dc/content.htm]
In that there is a setting mentioned for displaying the unit in the header.
Please check and I hope this helps.

  • Improper display with Currency/Unit in drilldown

    Hi ,
    There are 2 KFs in the query , 2nd KF is one level down (i.e inside the triangle of first KF) .
    KF's are :
    Net value
    Net val in doc currency
    when i drill down on Currency/unit it just drills down by statistics currency (i.e for first KF) it doesn't display other currencies for KF Net val in doc currency .
    But when i bring the 2nd KF to same level as first KF (i.e outside triangle) it works properly .
    Can any one tell me the reason if you had a similar case .
    I think it's some front end problem ?
    Thanks
    Gururaj

    Gururaj,
    I think that it is normal behaviour.
    When you drill down by currency, the 1st KF is drilled down. For example, after drill down you have several rows (columns) with particular statistics currencies.
    The currency shown in each particular row (column) acts like a filter for subordinate nodes.
    If your doc currency doesn't equal to statistics currency, nothing will be shown.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Currency/Unit may not be initial

    I have a real-time infocube. All keyfigures in this cube are zero. If I start to plan this cube, I get an error message “Currency/Unit may not be initial”. What is wrong?
    Thanks!

    Are you using IP?  I think you need to specify in the filter what currency / unit you are planning with.
    If using BPS, i would set the unit and currency in the planning level...

  • Currency Unit, error while filtering in a report.

    Hello ,
         We have a report with the Currency Unit (1CURDIM) in the rows. After the query execution when we right click and try to "Select a filter value" for the Currency Unit we are getting a error message saying "System error in program CL_RSR and for GET_CHAVL_NC_FROM_SID-01-(see long text)", there is no long text though.
        Please help....

  • Show currency unit in extra column

    Hi Gurus,
    i got a key figure in query with different currency units loaded. After drill down to company i can see different currency units in data fields.
    For example
    Keyfigure
    100 USD
    200 EUR
    400 YTL
    i want to split this key figure.
    What i want is two colums - one with value und one with currency.
    For example
    Keyfigure1
    100
    200
    400
    Keyfigure2
    USD
    EUR
    YTL
    We have no SPS14 here - otherwise i would enable tabular view in query designer and put characteristic "currency" next to the key figure.
    Any ideas how to reach this?

    Adem

    Hi.
    whats ur exact requirement. I think in BI7 we have solution for this
    in report level its not possible in BW.
    if u want we can do in modelling level for that include one char infoobject in cube in update rules map this object with 0currency,  build one new formula use NODIM function to avoid units, drag that char infoobject into column,
    but its not the perfect solution lets wait for experts answers.

    But
    for BP Code BP002      Item Code I002      Discount % is 15.34

  • Report based row level security

    I have a requirement to have row level security on only one particular report - so a user in the "Accounting" group - when running this report can only see the "Accounting" business unit but not any of the other business units such as "food service" or "training" - however when running any of the other reports - they are able to see all business units. Is there a way to deploy row level security so when a particular report is run that the security filter is applied - and not in all cases?
    thanks very much for your help!

    Kapsnerc,
    One way to solve your problem is to duplicate the column in your rpd and then define security accordingly.
    For this report use the duplicated column and for the rest use the original column to build the report.

    Venkata.

  • Translation using foreign currency units per dollar

    We are currently using the built-in HFM translation mechanism for most of our accounts, i.e., we enter currency rates in dollars per foreign currency unit for both a balance sheet rates and a P&L rate and allow HFM to translate. Is it possible to use the default translation to translate using inverted rates, i.e., foreign currency units per dollar? This would imply, of course, that the rate would be divided into the entity currency amount instead of multiplied.
    I realize that we could do this via translation rules for all of those accounts, but I'd prefer to use the default mechanism, if possible.

    Sofia,
    I don't recall the reason for having exhange rates use different options in the intercompany transaction module (ICT). I was part of the team which designed this module back in 2004/2005, and I suspect this was simply a request by someone at the time to allow exchange rates used in matching intercompany transaction matching to be entered either as a divide or as a multiply. This feature applies only to IC transactions, and has no effect at all on the core functionality of HFM, which uses only a multiply approach. Once intercompanty transactions are matched within the ICT module, the remaining, umatched balances each period are posted to the relevent HFM accounts. In many ways this is like using line item details for intercompany balances, but better since HFM can match at the "line item" level.
    To be very clear:
    1) ICT: intercompany transaction module. This is a module within HFM that allows invoice/transaction level records to be loaded into HFM and matched based on a series of flexible criteria. This is covered in detail in Chapter 13 of the HFM Administrator Guide.
    2) ICP: intercompany partner. This is a dimension within HFM that leverages the Entity dimension, where period end balances for/from each entity's partner is loaded into HFM. Intercompany eliminations are performed according to either HFM's default rules, if you use Consolidation Rules = "N" or "R", or according to your own rules if Consolidation Rules = "Y" and you have provided your own Sub Consolidate routine.
    The ICT module, though feature rich, is not widely used. On the other hand the ICP dimension is used in a majority of HFM applications worldwide.
    I hope this helps clarify the questions.

  • Approval on Row Level

    Hi All,
    I like to set approval on rows where Unit Price is Greater then U_MRP approval should goes to concern heads.
    Is is possible to set approval on Row Level.
    I am using SBO 2005 B, PL 38
    Warm Regards,
    Chintesh Soni

    Hi,
    There is a pdf file relate to approval procedure query that could be used to create approval procedure on the row level. You could also try to browse this link:
    http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/sap/kehinde/archives/approval-procedures-line-level-and-header-level-part-1-9662
    I also try to find the pdf file about it and if I find it I will let you know
    I suggest you to try to create UDF and Query FMS where the UDF is the result of the deviation between unit price and U_MRP.  E.g. Dev_UP. Dev_UP = Unitprice - U_MRP
    The query FMS could be like this :
    $[$38.14.0] - $[$38.U_MRP.0]
    Assign  the query FMS, to the U_Dev_UP and then create a query approval procedure for the U_Dev_UP where the query should state that U_Dev_UP must be as same as zero if not that it should ask approval request. Let me know if you need more detail. Or just mail me.

  • Formatted Search on A/R Invoice Row level

    Hi All,
    I need your help to do some arithmetical functions on UDFs.
    I have three UDFs at row level of A/R Invoices.
    U_MRP, U_AssValue (Unit & Totals -> Amount)
    U_abtment (Unit & Totals -> Rate)
    I want to do below process, but it gives me error.
    Select ($($38.U_MRP) - ($($38.U_MRP)* $($38.u_abtment))/100) * $($38.11.0)
    but it gives me error. Can any body help me to correct this query to set on U_AssValue as formatted search.
    Its very urgent & Important for me.
    Best Regards,
    Chintesh Soni

    Hi,
    I tried by creating UDF as u mentioned. For me its working perfectly.
    i will tell u how i created UDF created.
    MRP --> Units & Total --> Amounts
    AssValue --> Units & Total --> Amounts
    abtment --> Units & Total --> Rate.
    Save the query as A/r in query generated.
    Select ($[$38.U_MRP.number] - ($[$38.U_MRP.number] * $[$38.U_abtment.number]) / 100) * $[$38.11.number]
    Called this query in the AssValue, Qty --> 2, MRP --> 123, abtment --> 123 final output --> -58.
    Please remove http:// and add set bracket over there.
    Above query is working fine.

  • Column level versus row level security in SAP BI

    This is a question. Sorry about the terminology clarification but it really does get to a question. Thanks for your patience and help.
    There is some confusing terminology among BI users so let me explain terms. The terms appear to have some currency in the BOBJ world.
    Row level security = the ability to control access to some data based on the values of a characteristic. Only the data authorized will be selected.
    Column level security = the ability to exclude certain characteristics from display by any user.
    In SAP BI row level security is managed by analysis authorizations (RSECADMIN).
    To the extent of my experience (and I am unable to test it for about a month) column level security can only be managed by authorization object S_RS_IOBJ excluding the infoobject to be controlled with the sub-object DATA).
    However my experience is that any query that reads an infoprovider that contains that infoobject will fail. It won't exclude and present to the user all the other infoobjects (i.e. columns).
    Is this really so and if so is there any mechanism that can exclude columns without forcing the developer to either design an infoprovider or multicube that excludes the infoobject?
    Edited by: Corwin Slack on Dec 14, 2009 2:07 PM

    Two things
    1. I would prefer not to have to rely on developers to implement a restriction in a query. Then I have to police every query.
    2. I am not certain that the authorization isn't checked anyway because the query accesses the cube. (Sorry no test environment available until mid January)
    My preference is that any queries that contain this authorization object just bypass the displaying the characteristic. My frecollection to date is that this isn't what happens. The query fails entirely.

  • Row Level Security not working for SAP R/3

    Hi Guys
    We have an environment where the details are as mentioned below:
    1. Crystal Reports are created using Open SQL driver to extract data from SAP R/3 using the SAP Integration Kit.
    2. The SAP roles are imported in Business Objects CMC.
    3. Crystal Reports are published on the Enterprise as well.
    3. Authorization objects are created in SAP R/3 and added as required for the row level security as mentioned in the SAP Installation guide as well. The aim is when the user logs into the Infoview and refreshes the report he should only see data that he is meant to so through the authorization objects.The data security works very much fine when the reports are designed directly on the table but when the reports are built on the Business View it doesnt work hence the user is able to see all data.
    Any help in this issue is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards
    Kamal

    Hi,
    In order for row level security to work for you using the OpenSql driver, you need to configure the Security Definition Editor on your SAP server.  This is a server side tool which the Integration solution for SAP offers as a transport.
    This tool defined which tables are to be restricted based on authorizations.
    However since you are seeing the issue on reports based on Business Views, you need to identify whether the Business View is configured in such a way where the user refreshing the report is based on the user logging into Infoview.  If the connection to your SAP server is always established with the same user when BV is used then you security definition is pointless.
    You can confirm this by tracing your SAP server to identify what user is being used to logon to SAP to refresh the reports.
    thanks

  • Currency unit in Report painter

    Hi,
    I met a problem when i maintain a report using report panter. Table FAGLFLEXT is used for the library, and I want to using currency translation function. I use Basic key figure "HSL local currency" and CC_HSL translation local currency for the report. But when i run the report, there is a problem, system tell me that can not find the unit of source currency, so can not translated to target currency. The data of local currency can be displayed.
    i set the format of the local currency column, find that even i click "print the unit", there is no currency unit of the data, so I think there is some problem.
    What is the problem? thank you!

    Hi Amir,
    Thank you for your answer.
    I changed the key figue to "Crcy Transltn TransCrcy (Act.)" as told, and run the report again, but still have problem.
    No valid exchange rate for currency translation from  to USD
    Message no. GR640
    Diagnosis
    The system could not find a valid exchange rate for the currency translation.
    System Response
    The system could not translate into the target currency.
    Procedure
    Check the target currency, the exchange rate date and the exchange rate type.
    I am sure i have maintain the exchange rate type and related rate.
    The setting of "Define Currencies of leading Ledger" is "1 Translation taking transaction currency as a basis".
    I think the problem is that the system cannot find the unit of the currency, so the error massage display as "No valid exchange rate for currency translation from  to USD". If can find the unit of currency, i thought the message should be like "No valid exchange rate for currency translation from EUR to USD".
    If the unit can be found, I think after set the format of the column "print the unit", in the report the unit can be displayed. But in my system, can not display the unit.
    What do you think about this? thanks in advance.

  • Pl sql row level locking with wait ?

    Hi,
    I am using oracle 10g.
    I am new to Oracle locks. I have two tables Table1(id_no, employee, salary) and Table2(id_no, employee, salary).
    I need to pull any requested row from Table1 into Table2 only once on demand. I have a procedure to pull data and there could be more than one requests try to call same procedure to pull a row from Table1 into Table2 at any given time.
    I coded below to achieve row level lock. if one transaction gets row level lock on Table1 at 2, so other Transactions should wait till the lock is released at line 2 or 5 to avoid duplicates.
    But below code is not working, I am getting duplicates when I call this using two concurrent java threads.
    How do I control this concurrency issue so that I can avoid duplicate entries in Table2. Could any one please help?
    1.begin
    2.select 0 into emp_cnt
    3.from Table1 where id=id_no
    4.for update;
    5.update Table1 set employee='xyz'
    6.where id=id_no;
    7.select count(*) into table2_cnt from Table2 where id=id_no;
    8.if(table2_cnt =0) then

    10.end if;
    11.commit;

    Welcome to the forums and welcome to Oracle.
    Lets establish one thing right from the beginning ... the Oracle Database is not a Microsoft product.
    There is no general reason to use row level locks, you should not want to use row level locks, you don't need row level locks, and you will almost never have any valid reason to consider row level locks.
    That said there are two situations were it may be necessary to lock a row prior to an update or delete (possibly in a merge) and in those cases you want to use the built-in SELECT FOR UPDATE syntax. (Demo here: http://www.morganslibrary.org/reference/deadlocks.html#dlfu). But we should be clear here ... one rarely needs to use this locking mechanism as the chances of a collision in a well designed application are essentially zero.
    Also as you are new to Oracle please explore the dynamic performance view V$RESERVED_WORDS and do not name objects, columns, etc. with reserved word names not that there is an excuse in any product to name a column "ID." Something Joe Celko has railed about for decades and a tradition I think we should all follow.
    In the case of your posted code example (btw please read the FAQ and learn how to use tags) the solution is SELECT FOR UPDATE if locking can be justified which is unlikely.
