Custom field in catalog

Hi Gurus,
Ext Classic Scenario,SRM 5.0
BACKGROUND: Our catalogs are maintained by a third party vendor.We have requested the vendor to set up a new field in the catalog.Into the new field,the users will enter a tariff code when they are shopping in the catalog.The users know the code details.This field will have to be transferred to SRM shopping cart and from there to the purchase order.
Question: Now what information about the new field do i need to communicate to the vendor..so that he can set it up in the catalog.
Data type is integers/numbers,field length is 10 digits.
Other than that,what other information do you think i need to pass to the vendor?Any check list?
Please let me know your thoughts.

Hi,
The data can be passed in one of the NEW_ITEM-CUST_FIELD[X] fields available in the OCI interface. Refer to the OCI 4.0 documentation for details on the field length restriction on each field (documentation attached)
The data field should then be mapped to the relevent Shopping cart or Customer Field in the SC by use of the Badi BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.

New Customer Field in CCM2.0

I need a new customer field in catalog which I want in the shopping cart as well. I have used the allready created customer fields 1-5.
Do anyone know how to create a new OCI customer fields?

We have allready used the 5 standard customer fields in the catalog and want a new one.
We use the standard for
- "Asset class",
- "No control" (for workflow),
- "Approval" (for workflow),
- "GL account" (different GL account within same UNSPSC class)
- "High Level Articles" which control workflow and it is possible to change price and vendor in SC.
Then I need a new field for a responsible purchasing department (purchasing group). When a user buy an article with an responsible purchasing department the SC must be approved first before it runs the normal workflow.
For the above new fields I therefore need 6 customer fields.
The question is, can I create a new customer field or do I have to use a standard field in catalog and transfer this to a new field in SC??

Custom fields in Shopping cart at item level

Dear Experts,
We have a requirement to create the fields in the shopping cart.
Through customizing we have defined the fields and configured them. Now we could able to see the custom fields in the Shopping cart at item level. The values to custom fields must be the passed from the external Catalog after punch out.
Which BADI should we implement and am i missing anything else.
Please provide pointers to solve the issue.

But customer field mapping needs to be known.

You have to modify below structure, as this structure is providing the field catalog for output display (ALV).
Here you can see there are a lot of include structures, so if you want to add fields in the output display you can add those fileds as an append structure to any of the below mentioned structures (Like ukm_s_account, ukm_s_bp_cms_sgm etc as per your requiremnt and positon at which you need to dispaly your fields.)

Another way is you can go to SE38, and you can create implicit enhancements.One enhancement point is available here in this required area. so create an implementation and add your fileds with data types.This way is also simple.

Issue with custom fields mapping from CRM to ECC.

Hi all,
I have issues with replicating custom fields in a Service order. I have created new fields with EEWB and EEWC. Now the structure has been changed in ECC and CRM. But i have to map this fields to correct structures. Also i need some logic to apply.
But i have addressed in couple of threads about the custom function module as in user exit for FI generation.
But i didnt understand the concept of this custom function module. why is this been used?
Could anyone let me know with an good example on how this has to be acheived.

After you create custom characteristics.
1. Do Assign category.
2. Map contents.
3. Double check your master catalog has the mapped content.
4. Publish master catalog.
As per your message, you are not having any error message during import, which tells me that you are one step to close.

Custom field in item Overview and TCVIEW maintainance

Hi All,
We have two Z fields appended to VBAP table. As of now we are displaying these dields in additional data B tab of VA01/02/03.
However, now our requirement is to move these two fields from additional data b to item Overview table where all the line items are displayed.
If we click the table control icon which is in top right corner and click the administrator button we will se the current field catlog settings however we dont find our custom fields in this list.
We tried to add these fields in TCVIEW table maintainance generator but these fields are still misssing from the field catalog list.
Please let me know if i am missing some thing here OR you have other work around for this.

Am on SRM 5.0 MDM 2.0.
Requirement is 'temp labor'. i have a price form a specific supplier for a specific service is $80 in SRM_MDM internal catalog.
But i talked to supplier and they have agreed on a new price of $75. After I select this catalog item, and view the shopping cart preview screen i see "Price information and total price". I want to add a custom field to the shopping cart preview screen called "new price" to enter $75 as the new price and click recalculate to recalculate the new total price and send this to SRM for follow on functions...
is there standard functionality in SRM7 for this requirement?

Adding custom fields to Va05n output list

Hi Experts,
i am looking to add some custom fields to Transaktion Va05n.
It seems,at least to me, that the underling Program "SD_SALES_ORDERS_VIEW" is not meant to be enhanced. I guess i could do a append to the structure used in the ALV-Output, but there is no user-exit or Badi to fill the custom fields.
Am i missing something here?

You can do "Implicit Enhancement Option" as follow.
1. Adding your customer field catalog at routine "FORM fieldcat_init "
You have to enhance at the end of this routine.
2. Filling you value the internal table at routine "FORM liste_anzeigen".
You have to enhance at begin of this routine before it is display.

Hi Alex.
I totally agree with Sudhanshu's comments. If you create a custom specific field it will always be a read-only. you can also use EForm for such usecases. Also in case of SRM-MDM Scenario, the price information field holds a standard behaviour which can't be manipulate for custom specific fields.
But if you want to achive this through the exisitng repository schema and the BADI. then you can follow the steps given below:
1. If you want to hold the value for the new price, you can create a new custom field (New Price)of type "Text" in the repository and store the price information in that field.
2. In the configuration screen, you can add the "New Price" to all the views(Result Set, Shopping Cart Preview etc).
3. In the "Shopping Cart Preview", now you can view the existing standard price information column and the newly created "New Price" column. Now you can change the quantity based on your need. Now when you click "Recalculate" button the standard price column will change and not the "New Price" column.
4. Now you can map this newly created field to any of the custom fields which were provided by default. (like NEW_ITEM-CUSTFIELD1).
5. You can make use of the BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to perform the remaining calculations.
6. The BADI will hold all the catalog related data in its OCI structure. Before transferring the data to shopping cart you can modify it by multiplying the quantity with the "New Price" value and send the updated price in the OCI standard structure "NEW_ITEM_PRICE".
Now SRM shopping cart will hold the updated "New Price" for the item shopped through catalog.

Adding custom field in pricing condition structure (BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI)

Hi,
I need to add a custom field (ZCITY) to the structure : CRMT_ACS_H_COM and I need to populate this field in the BADI: CRM_COND_COM_BADI in the method : HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
However, my concerns are:
1. How to add the new field to this pricing structure? Is there any specific procedure to do that?
2. And once the field is added and populated with the value in BADI, where the pricing calculation takes place based on this custom field? Do we need to to implement any other BADI's or any pricing routines? I am little confused here.
Could you please help me on this?
Bottom line is : A custom field calles ZCITY needs to be added to the pricing structure and freight cost determination should take place based on this new field ZCITY.

if the field is used in the condition download from ECC please also check SAP note 514952.
1. The field is added via the field catalogue maintenance at IMG: Customer Relationship Management -> Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Define Settings for Pricing -> Maintain Field Catalog. As you save or generate the field catalogue the structure will be updated with your field.
2. Whether you need to implement a JAVA routine for the pricing of this particular condition is defined in the corresponding pricing procedure.

Custom Field in KOMKCV and KOMPCV are not recongnized while Account Determi

Hi All,
I want to do account determination in Billing based on two fields in Sales Order. One is Order Reason at Item ( Custom Field) and other is Sales Document Type (AUART).
I have added two custom fields (ZZAUGRU_ITEM and ZZAUART) in Account Determination Communication Structure KOMKCV and KOMPCV. I am also populating these fileds through User Exits USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMKCV and USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMPCV in Billing. But when I see Account Determination Analysis I see Yello Exclaimatory marks for these two custom field. Eventhough these two fields are populated in KOMKCV and KOMPCV structures I get the error "Access KOFI not carried out (initialized field)" for these two fields. Account Determination configuration and all require technical coding ( user exit upodate) are in place. I have also update access with selecting fields from field catalog inside access sequence and saved. But I am not able to determine G/L based on this access. In debug mode I am able to see my two ZZ fields populated in KOMKCV and KOMPV. But there is some issue in this area somehow access is not able to recognize fields KOMKCV-ZZAUART and KOMPCV-ZZAUGRU_ITEM.
Kindly suggest if I have missed anything.

Please follow the below mentioned step:
Go to IMG SD --> Basic Functions --> Account Assignment / Costing --> Define Access Sequence and Account Determination --> Maintain access sequence for account determination.
check on KOFI and select the access sequence and check whether the required table entries are maintained. Select the required one and again double click on fields. Check whether all the fields are flowing or not.

Need to add custom fields in Report RM06EN00 ( Tcode ME2N ) in the Output

Hi,
MY requirement is i need to add 10 custom fields in the standard program RM06EN00 whos tcode is ME2N.
i have appended the fields in the EKKO table and they r now available in the dynamic selection screen of the report RM06EN00.
But i need to display this fields in the output and these fields should also be available in the change layout of the ALV report which is displayed when u click on the change button after pointing the cursor on the PO number.
I am looking out for any enhacement though which this requirement can be met. however my second option is to copy the standard report to a z program and modify it. but i think it will not going to be east and it may take a lot of time..
Need both advice and answers for this soon.

If you have want to add fields in Field catalog from se11 Add fields in this structure MEREP_OUTTAB_PURCHDOC using append structure and activate and execute ME2N with BEST_ALV IN SCOPE LIST U WILL find in change layout.

Passing Custom fields to Req and PO

Hi,
We are on SRM 5.0 and ECC 5.0.We are using the classic scenario .I am trying to transfer the catalog ID from SRM shopping cart to R3 Req .There are number of threads in this forum that describe the procedure, which i understand.
But now if the Req is converted to PO in R3 either manually or auto, does the custom fields also get transferred automatically ,if i maintain the same custom fields in CI_EKPODB & CI_EKPODBX? or is there anything else i need to do.

Hi
Besides BBP_CUFMAP, you have to of course :
- create the same Zdata element datain ECC as you have done it in SRM.
- maintain CI_EKPODB with append of your Zdata element
- create CI_EKPODBX and activate it !
Then you will be able to sea your Zdata element (or CUF) in the EKPO table.
You don't need to use BBP_PO_INBOUND !
