How I can Display my Message in Custom Integrator Excel Sheet
I have try the following but I still did not get the custom error message
while I have enter the record in Application Developer->Application -> Message

current Message text : This entry not Allowed

I have done an ALV report using reuse_alv_grid _display , out put is fine , but when i click on excel view icon i could only see an excel sheet without any data ., but when i use export to local file and choose spread sheet its giving the data in excel, but the user wants to click only the excel view icon., please help me out.
Note : i have already tried changing the macro security in excel to Low .see it will give you the Status message as ...

it means the Excel Integration was not done in you sap system . ask basis there will be a Patch for it ... once it was applied automatically in all the ALV the excel view will work

Web ADI - How to display messages in Excel
Hi,
I'm building a group validator in java in WebADI and I run into two problems:
1) One row in Excel can have both errors and warnings. The colour of the smiley depends on which message was uploaded last. But if I have an error I don't want to have it displayed as a warning (if the last message is a warning)!
Now I have a check so that if I find an error I will not upload the warning message. But if the error is found by another validator, how can I see that? Is there any way? Are the error messages stored anywhere?
2) I want to upload messages to the rows in Excel even if the upload was successful. There is the possibility to upload error and warning messages but I want a green smiley and a message on the row level. Does anyone know how to do that?

Disable the parent iviews message area before calling the child(popup) window. Then you can get the message in the child(popup) window.
According to documentation, oldest (parent) message area would be used if there are more than one windows (in a layout).

I have modified custom integrator which was working fine. I have added one column in template and the lov is working fine.
Issue is that when i upload the file to oracle it showing error as ''sql exception occurred during pl/sql upload".
I have tried executing the same from back end but it was working fine from back end and inserting properly in interface table.
Kindly suggest for the issue.

You can get the error message in excel sheet itself by using the following piece of code.

FND_MESSAGE.SET_TOKEN ('ERROR_TOKEN', ERROR MESSAGE);
FND_MESSAGE.RAISE_ERROR;
Create an excpetion block and include the above piece of code whilde catching the exception.
APPLICATION- The applicatio in which you create message
APPLICATION_MESSAGE_NAME- The message Name
ERROR_TOKEN- You must create a token in application message
ERROR MESSAGE- You can see the error using SQLERRM.

Applescript to read Excel sheet
Hi All,
I'm a learner of applescript and I have a problem to solve so any help will be very appreciated.
I have thousands of photographies in a folder called "images0". I just want to organize this photos by customer (every customer has its own folder)
I have an Excel sheet with this information: column A: CustomerId / column B: photography name / and column C: name of folder (customer)
How can I read this Excel sheet to make an applescript that automatically move every picture to its correct folder?

I have reached to create what I asked for by taking examples from internet. I have done it step by step following my needs and for sure there is a better and easy way to do it but it works anyway!
Now I want to create a repeat (loop) for that script but I do not reach to make it work!
I have done the script with this features:
1. Open and filter an Excel file with a given value through a dialog box
2. Select the rows filtered and create a txt file with these content on it (the content are files names)
3. Create a folder with the same name as the given value in step 1
4. Move files from the source folder to the destination folder
Anyone could help me please?

let me once more clarify with ur requirements .
User is uploading an excel sheet.
U doing validations on the records and getting the error in records.
Displaying the uploaded excel sheet to user to rectify the errors.
and then update the databse with the correct records.
So for the above
use WS_upload ,GUI_Upload FM for uploading the excel sheet in itab.
using this itab ,Dynamically add one more column for the errors.

Date format error in excel sheet
When i try to download ALV grid display report into excel sheet using the following procedure
Menu - List - Export - SpreadSheet - Radiobutton Table - Radiobutton Microsoft Excel- Then an excel sheet is downloaded but the date format is of some random number like 40182 but actual date is (01/04/2010 format MM/DD/YYYY) .
But when i try to download using the procedure Application Menu bar - Local File - Radiobutton Spread Sheet - Giving the path of the file. When i see the date is in (01/04/2010 format MM/DD/YYYY) which is correct.
I want to know what are the settings that needs to be done for downloading the excel sheet with the first procedure which i mentioned above.

Unable to display double values in Excel sheet using JExcel API

I am writing code to generate report in the form of Excel Sheet using JExcel API.
Everything is going fine but whenever I want to put some double values in a cell it is only showing 2 decimal places. My problem is "I want to show upto five decimal places".

#NumericZero Enhancements
To display a numeric zero in place of an error message, you can enter #NumericZero in any of the three Replacement text fields. When you use the #NumericZero option:
· Excel formatting for the cell is retained.
· All calculations with dependency on the cell will compute correctly and will take the value of this cell as zero.
· This numeric zero is for display only. When you submit, the zero value is NOT submitted back to the data source.
You cannot set display strings for cells that contain an invalid member or dimension name (metadata error). Metadata errors produce standard descriptive error messages.
Errors are prioritized in the following order from highest to lowest. The error message for a higher-priority error takes precedence over that for a lower-priority error.

The DI 11.7 installer can be used to upgrade a DI 6.1 local repository (e.g. the upgrade is supported). This will migrate all jobs and flows. They will remain intact, however, this is always a major migration effort and should not be taken lightly. If you do upgrade, please make sure this is a planned effort with rigorous testing and validation. You should also ensure that you consult the release notes and [supported platforms documentation|https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000712240&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202] for the 11.7 package you intend to install. The DI 11.7 documentation also contains info about how to install and configure the Excel Adapter, and what functionality it provides.
