Custom stylesheet using Eclipse

Hi friends,
I have Developed a project in Eclipse 3.3.2 Created my Theme "TEST". Changed my theme as I need. Then Exported the theme using option " Export to Webdynpro". This created one test.zip and po_ie6.css and ie6.css file.
Now tell me how to upload these themes to SAP. I already saw some threads but none helped me.
Let me know the right way of doing this.

I have a problem. I think to modify css file using Eclipse. I download Eclipse Theme Editor ( https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a026b4ce-de48-2a10-7285-fb457ee6c7ed) and I follow documentation steps from documentation but when I try to create SAP UR Project ( after add jar to plugin folder ) this option isn't available. Otherwise how can I modify css file??

Creation of Custom Stylesheet and attaching Globally for all WDA

I want to create a Custom stylesheet and attach the style sheet globally for all the WD Applicaitons.
Can anyone please help me to achieve this requirement.

You can't directly interact with the Stylesheets of Web Dynpro. You only have access to the concept of theme. If your WD Application runs in the portal, it will inherit the portal theme automatically. You can customize this theme using the portal theming tools.
If your application runs standalone, then you would have to use the unsupported Eclipse Based Theme Editor (which can be downloaded from SCN). The are Community create how-to guides on SCN for how to download the theme from the MIME repository, edit it and then re-upload it to the MIME Repository. You then use Web Dynpro Application Parameters to force the usage of your customized theme.

Usage of customer stylesheets

search help icons, the ui element itself, etc...
Would these information be stored in the MIME-Repository?

Yes its possible to change the whole layout.

Extending CR4E using Eclipse RCP plugin's

Hi Sean,I have not started checking this for myself, so this question is more theoretical.I plan to customize and extend CR4E using Eclipse RCP plugin architecture. The two main requirements are to add a custom data-source type/provider to the report wizard, and to add a custom result-set wrapper for the said data-source. Other requiremnets may be more look&feel related.Assuming licensing issues are met, I had a few questions.1. Are there suitable extension points for this in CR4E2. Unfortunately, developing against these extension points is not currently supported. We definitely plan to support building against these extension points in the future, but in the initial release this was just not in the timeframe. The extension points are likely to change in future releases and we didn't want to be bound to the initial definition released in version 1. You can of course use either eclipse or Jdevelopper.
What you need is to consume the web service file (WSDL). You can also use the package UTL_HTTP or any language you work with.

Issue with creation of custom layouts using SAP Help Documentation

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to create a home custom page layout (using web dynpro) in Composite Environment. The default options available in CE are not useful for me. I have followed the instructions and followed all the steps, yet I fail to see the application in CE. The custom page layout is not displayed neither in options and is not available any where.

How to run an application i created in java without using eclipse

Im familiar with running an application i create thru command prompt or eclipse, how do i create a file to run on any computer with java so i can double click the file and my application runs. C# automatically does this, do i need to do an extra step to the jar file?

You need to make an executable JAR file. There are a few ways you can do this but since you are using Eclipse you can follow this tutorial.

The most important part is the manifest file, if you have dependencies on other JAR files they will need to be specified along with the

Custom Report using Metrics of Instance and Server

I need to create a custom report using different instance and server metrics like:
File System Space Available
Tablesapaces
Database Spaces usage
Sort in Memory
library Cache Hit
Data Dictionary Hit
Buffer Cache Hit
I already made the report, but I can´t change the size of the graphic (for a better presentation on my report)....
Do you know how can I change the size of the report?
I think that I´m using a "metric" so for that reason I Can´t change the size ... :(

I am currently having a problem with this report and drilldown to KSB1, the cost centers selected int S_ALR_87013611 are not transferring to KSB1 and thus all the cost centers come up in the call to KSB1, are you experiencing this problem? I am on V4.7

Custom Extractor using FM for Delta Upload

I created a Custom Extractor using FM for Full Upload. The requirement now is that it should be able to handle Delta also.
I used the standard FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE to create my Z FM.
Please suggest me the changes I have to make in this to be able to upload Delta also.

Hi Mahesh,
You can selectively load from BI side (through Infopackage) and for that you should have those selection field defined as ranges in your FM.
As per my genius friend Sidharth Gupta:
FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE is a funct. Mod having a simple interface in which I_UPDMODE is not used. Actually FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE is used for a full update and uses an F2 extraction method. However through ABAP we can try to make it delta capable like below.
*Declare
DATA I_UPDMODE.
Now to capture delta on AUDAT
       I_UPDMODE = u2018 u2018.
LOOP AT S_S_IF-T_SELECT INTO L_S_SELECT WHERE FIELDNM = 'AUDAT'.
            MOVE-CORRESPONDING L_S_SELECT TO L_R_AUDAT.
             I_UPDMODE = u2018 D u2019.
            APPEND L_R_AUDAT.
          ENDLOOP.
This code works however is not flexible as you do not use a CASE stmt on I_UPDMODE.
CASE stmt gives more flexibility which is used in FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA.
FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA is a funct. Mod having a complete interface in which I_UPDMODE is passed to funct mod during its call.FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA can be used for all update types and uses an F1 extraction method. However after writing the funct mod the default extraction method is F2 in table ROOSOURCE which needs to b changed to F1 for ur mod to work. This change from F2 to F1 can be done via test abap code.
Part two of that Article is yet to be published so wait for sometime or follow above mentioned approach.

Custom cursor using image gets resized bigger

I have created a custom cursor using the following code:

draftGrid.setCursor( Custom_Cursor );The cursor is loaded and it works, however - the image I use for the cursor is resized so it gets too big. Any clues on why this happens?
btw; draftGrid is one of my own classes that extends JComponent.

I tried your code KPSeal, and it works in resizing the cursor image back to its original size. However, a gray square of size 32,32 (which is returned by getBestCursorSize()) is shown round the cursor.

Custom cropping using pixel dimension

The banner image module for my website requires images cropped to 940 x 400 pixels. When I use the Custom cropping function in PSE 12 (on a Mac OSX 10.9.2), it only shows a cm dimension. Can I do a custom crop using a pixel dimension?

You should just be able to type 940 px and 400 px in the width and height fields
Another way is to use the Rectangular Marquee Tool and use Aspect>Fixed Size then enter 940 px X 400 px

Custom Login using the Pluggable Identity Management Framework

Hi all,
We are trying to establish 2 ways into our application:
1. via a login form
2. seamless login from an external application
To achieve this we are trying to build our own custom authentication using the pluggable IDM framework.
Basically if a secure page is requested, we want to check the header/cookie/request (don't mind which) for a key which is provided by the external application. If present, the key is validated against a web service provided by the external app, the identity is asserted and the user is entered seamlessly into the application. If the header/cookie/request does not contain a key the user is to be redirected to a login page, where they can input username and password which will be validated against our database.
We've created a Token Collector and Token Asserter class, we've modified our custom Login Module to retrieve the identity created by the Token Asserter but we haven't worked out how to get the alternate login page working for users which don't come through the external application.
Has anybody built anything similar? From the documentation it appears we should be able to achieve our goal using the pluggable IDM, but we're going around in circles a bit at the moment.
Any help/sample code would be greatly appreciated.
