Customer Exit question

Hi All,
I am working on a report which shows the status of employees whether they are available or not. There is "status change date" in the report which is also key ( employee ID is another key ) and shows only status change. The problem is since this date is key and only brings status information if the status changed at that day, I cannot see who is absent today.
           In other words, lets say my status changed to absent yesterday -> if I run the report for yesterday it will show me as absent, but if I run the report for today since my status didn't change, it wont show anything.
           I need to write a customer exit for the date to find previous change date and bring the corresponding status. I will appreciate any help
Regards

If you try this you dont need en exit.
Along with the status, bring the date also so that you can also see the status on a given date.

  • Customer Exit query question

    Hello Experts -
    I have a characteristic which has the text: "04 Parts 25%".
    I need to use the 25% part in a calculation.
    Can I use a customer exit to parse out the 25% and use the exit in a formula variable and use the formula variable in my calculation?
    If yes, which customer exit should I use? EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 is for Global Variables. Can I use this same exit? I'm confused about the I-Step part also.
    Can someone please help?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hey its simple
    Create your project in CMOD and assign component EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001
    doublen click on this and put your code in ZXRSRU01
    If you know ABAP then its very easy here you put your code in 3 events
    1. I_step1 : suppose your variable name is A and you wann populate F4 help just append values in i_val.
    Code : CASE i_vnam.
    WHEN 'ZICCALDAY'.
    IF i_step = 1.
    LV_CALDAY = SY-DATUM - 1.
    ls_range-low = '00000000'.
    ls_range-high = LV_CALDAY.
    ls_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    ls_range-sign = 'I'.
    APPEND ls_range TO e_t_range.
    ENDIF.
    2. I_step2 :Put your code here
    CASE i_vnam.
    WHEN 'ZVCPREYRCAL'.
    IF i_step = 2.
    READ TABLE i_t_var_range INTO LS_T_VAR_RANGE
    WITH KEY vnam = 'ZICCALDAY'.
    LV_CALDAY = LS_T_VAR_RANGE-high.
    CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
    EXPORTING
    I_DATE = LV_CALDAY
    I_MONMIT = '00'
    I_PERIV = 'V3'
    IMPORTING
    E_BUPER = LV_POSTPER
    E_GJAHR = LV_FISCYEAR.
    LV_FISCYEAR = LV_FISCYEAR - 1.
    ls_range-low = LV_FISCYEAR .
    ls_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    ls_range-sign = 'I'.
    APPEND ls_range TO e_t_range.
    ENDIF.
    WHEN 'Variable1
    3. I_step3 :
    Thats it
    If any query revert back
    Need any doc give your id will send u the same

  • Fun BEx i_step 2 Customer Exit / ABAP Question!

    Hello Gurus
    We run two queres, one has a restriction on ZCOMPCODE (which is an OpCo), the other on ZCOMPHIER (Which is an OpCo Hierarchy).
    We have too many cubes under our multiProvider so to aid performance we have an 'InfoProvider' Customer Exit Variable in our queries. This restricts the cubes to those relevant to the selected OpCo by indexing against a predefined table.
    The code works for ZCOMPCODE.
    ZLASTHIER has a one to one relationship with ZCOMPCODE so we want to enhance our 'InfoProvider' Exit Variable to incorporate restrictions on ZLASTHIER.
    Ie currently we have:
    LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO ls_var_opco WHERE VNAM = 'ZVAR006'.
    (Where ZVAR006 is on ZCOMPCODE)
    I want to enhance this so that if VNAM = 'ZVAR007' (which is a variable based on ZCOMPHIER), it will convert it.
    I need to tag something along the following lines into my code:
    If VNAM 'ZVAR007' = 'H1'.
    ls_opco = '001'.
    ELSEIF 'ZVAR007' = 'H2'.
    ls_opco = '002'
    etc etc
    Im not very good at abap but im sure I can't be miles off!
    Any help appreciated!
    Tom

    Hi
    Basically the requirement is to get Company code corresponding to the Hierarchy in ZVAR007 and then restrict to the particular Infoprovider. Plz let me know if my understanding is correct.
    Here we go :
    LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO loc_var_range WHERE VNAM = 'ZVAR007'. "reads Hier value
    If sy_subrc is not initial.
    Select comp_code  comp_hier from table
    into itab1 where comp_hier = loc_var_range-low. " selects company code from thetable which has comp code - hierarchy mapping.
    read itab into wa_itab. " not giving condition assuming there s only one record.
    "Add the same code as in the user exit for Comp Code, to select the Infoprovider based on the company code selected(wa_itab-comp_code).
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    ENDLOOP.
    Plz let me know in case of issues.

  • UserExit or Customer Exit for F110 - '*' on Vendor Line Item Payment Run

    Dear all,
    Background
    Currently in F110, when processing for vendor payments, the item text ( or segment text) is only printed out when item text begins with an asterik ' * '. The asterik is meant to indicate that this document/item is posted from external system. You may do a F1 on the text field for detail explanation.
    In the event, asterik is not present on the item text even if the text is not blank, it will not be printed at all.
    Here are two OSS notes on the asteriks: 312623 and 1292333.
    Include: F110SFS0_SATZ_KOMPLETTIEREN
    *------- Segementtext
      IF REGUP-SGTXT(1) NE '*'.
        REGUP-SGTXT = SPACE.
      ENDIF.
    Requirement
    User is requesting for item text to be printed at all time, when the text exist, regardless of ' * '.
    Question
    Does anyone know of a user exit / customer exit that i could use to do modification for SGTXT ?
    Would appreciate it, if you could share your suggestions / experiences - on this matter, even if it doesn't need to be resolved through user exits.  Thanks in advance

    BTW..you have fot following exits for F110;

  • Displaying Customer Exit Variable with derived value from another ODS

    Hi All,
    Sorry if this question has been answered before.  I searched the forums and could not find anything specific to my problem.
    I am new to BEx Query.  Customer is requesting a variable(s) be created which will be displayed as a column along with other CKF and RKF.  This query is a payroll query for US/Canada.  This new variable will be based on the user input date for the query.  We are to take this date and go look up the actual pay date for the pay period to which the user input date belongs.  The pay date is stored in another ODS.
    So far, as far as the changes to the Customer Exit ZXRSRU01 are concerned, I would perform the logic when I_STEP = 2.  Do a basic selection off the second ODS, derive the pay date, and store in range table E_T_Range.
    The data displayed off the user input date is displayed in rows.  This is done six times, going back seven days for each row (first row is data for period user entered date to user entered date - 7 days; second row is data for period user entered date - 7 days to user entered date - 14 days; etc ...).  For this to happen  correctly, I am assuming the variable(s) are to to have characteristic types 'Not ready for input', 'Mandatory', 'Customer Exit', and 'Single Value'.
    My question is ... How do I display the six variables in columns (how are they to be defined in the query) and the characteristics I list above, are they correct? Does this need to be a replacement path variable?
    Thanks.

    Hi Amir,
    What i can understand from u r requirement is you want to few columns that will show something like below,
    User entered date = x
    Period of X to Period of (X-7)       Period of X to Period of (X-14).....
    This can be done by CMOD for variable only.
    Logic steps :
    1) Take the user input.
    2) Find out the period by using T009B table and store in temp variable.
    3) Do day -7 and find out period for the same
    4) Assing period of X to ls_range-high range and X-7 to ls_range-low.
    Let me know if you have any doubt

  • Customer Exit Variable in formula to get values for multiple keyfigures

    Hi to all,
    I have query as defined in following scenario:
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (based on KF1)     C_KF2 (based on KF2)     u2026     C_KFn (based on KFn)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
    C_KF = calculated key figure
    I need to create a customer exit variable that will search through selection e.g. CHAR_X/KF1 and give some result. I need this variable for every keyfigure (KF1-KFn). Using customer exit variable is the only solution.
    My question is: do I have to create formula variable (customer exit) representing every keyfigure separately (VAR1 u2013 VARn, like in below example)?
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (using VAR1)     C_KF2 (using VAR2)     u2026     C_KFn (using VARn)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
    Or is it possible to create one general formula variable since the way to retrieve the value in variable is always the same (like in below example)? In this case, how do I pass the value of the respective keyfigure to this variable?
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (using VAR_X)     C_KF2 (using VAR_X)     u2026     C_KFn (using VAR_X)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
    Thanks for your replies, points will be awarded!
    Cheers

    That is my concern, the value of variable is not the same.
    What variable should do is:
    take KF1 id, go through values for CHAR_X, get back one value
    This value would always be different, and also "KF" part in code of variable should be different, based on the column where the variable is being used (so, in column C_KF1 ,variable should "pick up" id of KF1, etc.).
    I hope it makes it more clear. For now, I do not have the code for variable yet, I am just interested in concept whether it is possible to pass the ID of keyfigure dynamically so I can make decision how to model this request.
    Thanks

  • Customer exit variable in Planning filter - IP

    Hi,
    I am new to business planning. I am trying to use a customer exit variable in filter, while performing check system generates message "RFC failue error". the logic is written to get the current year. But I am not able to use this variable?  Can you please answer me this question... Can I use Customer exit variables in planning modeler filters or planning functions ?

    Hi there,
    Yes you can, and it is used very often in both.
    Probably your variable is wrongly defined.
    What you can do is create a query over that aggregation level, and insert the planning filter in there. Put some key figure on the query and put a breakpoint on your variable customer exit code. Execute the query and debug the variable code to check the error.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Diogo.

  • Custom Exit to count No: of Employee based on User Input Date

    Hi There,
    I have a requirement to Count the no: of Employees for each Position Id. This count value changes with time (Time-dependent).
    So, when the user Keys-in a date at the Query Execution-Prompt, it should take the date value and then count the no: of employees for each Position Id.
    Next, it should display text  like If Count = 1    "Single"
                                                      If Count =2     "Double"
                                                      If Count >=3   "Triple"
    I was informed that we should create a Calculated Key Figure and then introduce a variable in it with Replacement path as Customer Exit.
    My Question is: Could any one provide me the logic to implement the Customer Exit for above requirement. I kow that I need to implement this is BI ABAP editor as Include file.
    Further, I referred following Forums links. However, I need more information.
    counting the number of rows.
    Customer Exit Variable Code
    Any Suggestions!
    - Anil

    Hi,
    As I understood, first thing you may not have text for a key figure (will not be able to display "Single", "Doüble" etc..)
    Are you doing reporting on master data or cube?.
    If it is a master data the it will be better to include count at staging level. You just need to include one key figure count as an attribute and assign 1 over there. You may usee this key figure directly in report.
    If it is one cube/DSO then just create one CKF assign value as 1 in report in that. Use Exception aggrigation for this CKF reffering Position id in report. Dipslay this key figure.
    I hope it will help.
    Thanks,

  • BW Authorizations - Query variable with processing mode as "customer exit"

    Hi,
    Iam new to BW authorizations and have not yet worked on customer exit before. I was going through the documentation at various sites but I could not get the end to end description on how the query process( when using a variable for an InfoObject) works in case of customer exit.
    Let's assume that I am using  a query variable with processing mode as "customer exit" and at the exit I  write some code to extract user's authorizations from a z table. if this is the case, then when an end user runs a query,how will the the system know what value needs to be filled in the variable for the requesting user. Are the user details  also sent to the code along with the query variable? If so how. If I mis-understood the process then forgive me and let me know the correct process.

    Hi!
    welcome to SDN!
    customer exit variables need programing by user. so if you create a customer exit variable, you got to right a program which extracts values into this variable. we can do what ever we want in program, SAP will not deal anything ´with customer exits.

    A               Blak       S              02/05/2010            120
    As per the above example i need WSP value of Latest  Date(2nd Line Item)
    In the Run time I will have mandatory selection for customer (Interval) and Date (Interval)  . As per my requirement when user enters the date and customers i need to collect all SKU's with customers and then I need look into billing  DSO from there i need to collect the latest WSP for each SKU and need to display in my output.
    So Pl provide me the code and also let me know On whcih characteristic I need to create the customer exit variable.
    Appriciate Your Help.

    Hi Uma,
    As your explanation I need to consider the customer in Billing DSO then relavant SKU i need WSP.But my question is
    when we are excuting report on a particular date i will get some SKU's for particular customer.So need WSP for only those SKU.But as mentioned we r not passing any SKU in the code.So will it  create any issue.
    If possible
    Can U elobrate your explanation.
    Select the records from Billing dso using the customer and date given in input, in where conditon.- ?
    Requirent : My report is combination of Non-SAP + SAP(AFS).
    All my sales data at the custome rlevel will come from Non-SAP and Invoice and Billing, WSP will come from SAP.
    Sp perticular customer wht are the sales ( SKU wise) that i am extracting from Non-SAP for those SKU data only i need to display WSP.

  • Behavior of customer exit variables (used as prompt) in a workbook

    Hi All,
    We are on NW2004s. I am using a customer exit variable in the prompt for my query then saved the query as a workbook.
    1. When I run the query the customer exit routine/program is called and the selection screen variable is populated with the correct value.
    Ex. Calendar year variable is a prompt variable defined as customer exit variable that gets the current year.
    when you run the query the prompt for calendar year shows "2007" as default value. this is correct.
    2. when I run the workbook using this same query, it looks like it is not executing the customer exit program. The value in the calendar year prompt is whatever the last value used when the workbook was last ran.
    I also placed a breakpoint in the customer exit program (EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001) to check if it is being called and it looks like it isn't.
    Is there a configuration/property that I should enable/check to make sure that customer exit variables used as prompts works in workbooks? Is this a bug? Anybody else have issues with using customer exit variables as prompts in their workbooks?
    Thanks in advance,
    Malou

    Hello Marilou,
    See the abswer I got from the 1st response on my question
    Save and reuse variable option in 7.0
    It may be a good help.
    Variables seem to be an understated item in the documents.

  • Node variable in query - Processing type customer exit?

    We are on NW 2004S. I created a hierarchy for an info-object along with several nodes and child nodes.
    I also created a node variable in a query for this info-object. I have the following questions with regards to using node variables in a query.
    1) Can I use a node variable with processing type 'Customer Exit". My objective is to set the value of the node variable in the user exit.
    2) If answer to first question is "Yes", how would I code the node value in the user-exit - Example code or some pointers to that effect.
    I really appreciate your thoughts on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,
    As far as I'm aware this hasn't changed in NW2004s, (in any case it still works), so:
    1)Yes you can, no difference with other type variables.
    2)In userexit EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 (include ZXRSRU01).
    There's different options depending on at which stage you want to change it:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f1/0a56f5e09411d2acb90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    If you do a forum search on above technical names I think you'll find plenty of coding samples, but if you want something more specific, I'd be happy to help you out.

  • How to do coding in the customer exit

    Hi I have found the customer exit by finding "Call function Exit" in the program. Now my question is how to do coding for that exit as I can not enter it directly in CMOD.

    Hi Suchender,
    in TA CMOD you first have to create a Z- project. Then assign an enhancement.
    The assigned enhancement offers one or more components. After assigning the enhamcement,
    display the components. in case enhancemnet is a function exit simply double click it and you will navigate
    to function builder. there you will find an include, where you can place your coding.

  • Authorization with customer exit variable (CP, BT, EQ)

    Hi SDN-Experts,
    I have a question concerning the new authorization concept.
    I created an authorization for 0COSTCENTER which also contains the 3 special characters 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAIPROV and 0TCAVALID. I inserted a customer exit variable for 0COSTCENTER. The exit reads datasets from a db table which contains authorizations for the actual user. The authorizations have different formats, e.g. "1000", "1000;1200", "25*" etc.
    The internal table e_t_range is filled as followed in the exit:
      i   eq   1000
      i   bt   1000   1200
      i   cp   25*
    This does not work. It works if I only use "eq" OR "cp". But not both at the same time.
    How can I achieve to use the different authorizations in the db table for the bi authorization?
    Thanks in advance...
    Joerg

    Hi Olivier.
    Yes, the variable is defined as selection option and I did also try to use "EQ" instead of "CP".
    I tested again with another variable which is "ready for input" and is not used in an authorization. The Variable is filled in the customer exit. This is the code:
    WHEN 'ZJGR_COSTCTR_TEST'.
      l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
      l_s_range-opt  = 'BT'.
      l_s_range-low = '0000001000'.
      l_s_range-high = '0000001200'.
      APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
      l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
      l_s_range-opt  = 'CP'.
      l_s_range-low = '0000002*'.
      APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
    The result in the variable screen in BEx Analyzer is the following:
    1000 - 1200;0000002*;
    And it still does not work. It seems that you could not mix EQ, BT and CP. But this is exactly what I have to do with the authorization variable...
    Do you have any other tipps that I might try out?
    Thanks,
    Joerg

  • Variable multiple single value filled with customer exit used in FOX form.

    Hi guys, I definitly need your help in the following scenario:
    I have variable (multiple single value) filled in a customer exit and use it in web template. There it is used in the drop down box for selecting a special date in the analysis item. And there comes the first question:Why the results from the customer exit are written in the way "date1; date2; date3" in one line? They should appear line by line in rows. How can I influence that? I tried both data binding types, "variable" and "characteristic".
    Now a button raises a planning function with a fox formula which should write the selected date (from the drop down box) in a customer table using "call function".
    I always get the error, that I need to restrict the variable to "single value". Why do I have to do that and if necessary how can I do that? Other planning functions without the fox formula also work properly with using the selection from the drop down box.
    I appreciate you help.
    Kind regards, Anja.

    Hi Vamsi.,
    Try this code.
    WHEN 'PREVIOUS_YEAR_1'.
    IF I_STEP = 2. "after the popup of user entry
    LOOP AT I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO LOC_VAR_RANGE
    WHERE VNAM = 'ZCURRENT_YEAR_PERIOD'.
    break-point.
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
    WA_YEAR = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW+0(4). "Year
    WA_MONTH = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW+5(3). "Period
    WA_YEAR = WA_YEAR - 1.
    CONCATENATE WA_YEAR wa_month INTO WA_FISC_PERD .
    CONCATENATE WA_YEAR WA_MONTH1 INTO L_S_RANGE-HIGH .
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    ENDIF.
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    endif.
    Assing points if it helps you.
