Customer fields at header in SC

Hi Forum,
We are on SRM4.0. We want to add a few customer fields at header level in the SC screen.
But while searching the forum I found note no. 672960 which says that
Note that the header fields cannot be displayed for the shopping cart. If you define fields on the header, they can only be filled in BADIs.
I am confused by this, please guide me on how to create header fields in SC and how to fill them and pass thses values to BE.
Any pointers will be of great help.

Add the customer fields in the header level.

We are trying to add a couple of custom fields in header area of FB01 by making a copy of badi FI_HEADER_SUB_1300IM. With this method we are facing a couple of problems
- The custom fields added in bkpf structure, only appears in FB01 just in the case we have go before to FB03 or FB02.
- We don´t reach to save data of these fields in table BKPF.
can anybody help us with these problems?

Cool! I didn't know this BADI!
Playing around with existing implementations I can see that, BADI_SD_TAB_CUST_H, can definitely enhance the Sales order header with additional tab strip screens. Similarly BADI_SD_TAB_CUST_I can be used to enhance Sales order item screens.
Here is what I understand from the coding of an existing implementation
ACTIVATE_TAB_PAGE - takes a module pool program name and a subscreen that you created and adds it as a additional tab page to sales order header screen. You need to pass back f_program and f_dynpro with your program and screen number that you painted
TRANSFER_DATA_TO_SUBSCREEN - can be used to read and pass data to the fields on the subscreen you created
TRANSFER_DATA_FROM_SUBSCREEN - can be used to pass back whatever changes done by user to the respective Z variables in VBAK
PASS_FCODE_TO_SUBSCREEN - Pass the fcode the user selected to your subscreen.
I would suggest that you create a function group and create screens, functions etc within that and use those in these methods. Refer existing implementations. The global data of the function group can then be used to communicate between all the above methods

Thank you for your replies.
There is one custom field in header data called 'SDN Number' of our PO for example and i would like to change this from 'SDN Number' to 'Login Name' as the logic for taking the value for this field should remain the same. Only the display text should change.
So, whenever i login into frontned SRM and process the transaction 'Process PO' i should be able to see 'Login Name' instead of 'SDN Number' in header data of the PO.
Hope i reaced my query in clear way.

Multiple selection customer field at header level... Is it possible?

Y'all,
I would like to know if it's possible to append a table into the include structure (CUF) at header level in the contract and create a search help screen with multiple selection values return.
This requirement comes because we have to mantain a 1:N relationship between a contract and customer field at header level.

Custom Fields notification header

Hi Everyone,
I have a lot of custom fields that I want to add at the header level of a general notification. Is there any way that I can leverage the classification system to do that? Is it possible to create a custom class type or something and have the assignment trigger from either the action box or some button on the notification header screen.

Hello,
Can we define customer enhanced field i.e coding block at document header level under new GL functionality?
We want to track each location wise -division at the document level and also map authorizations based on the same.
For e.g. Delhi being a location. Within delhi division exist like Local bill passing, capex seciton etc.

Hi Mukesh,
I know BADI FI_HEADER_SUB_1300, however this BADI was created for internal SAP purposes.
The only aim of the BADI as stated in note 608694 and the in the documentation of the BADI is the possibility to change the posting date. Further fields eg. custom fields are not supported.
For this BADI the indicator 'Within SAP' is set internally, which means in this case the BADI is only intended for SAP internal use and that customers cannot create own implementations for this BADI.

Displaying Custom field in shopping cart header

Hi all, I know how to add a field to header and item levels of the shopping cart.
- In the note 672960 it says 'Note that the header fields cannot be displayed for the shopping cart. If you define fields on the header, they can only be filled in BADIs.'
However,
We are able to fill in the name of the shopping cart on the third step, which is also a part of header information. Is there a possibility to add a custom field(the user must be able to fill it) and display it in that screen???

Mass maintenance and BDC Recodring of custom fields added in PO header.

Hello Experts,
I have created a custom fields in PO header and used Structure for BADI implementation to update the header with values enterd in custom table.
My requirement is for some selected PO i want to fix the value of one of my custom field at header level.
I have tried both the options Mass maintenance and BDC recording but the issue i'm facing is when i go for mass maintenance it is giving me the ERROR and it seems that we can only do the mass maintenance for sap-standard fields only.
When i go for BDC recording i'm facing the issue that when i do SHDB and start recording for ME22N my custom field is coming grayed out and i'm not able to input the desired value in custom field and complete my recording.

Instead of BDC i'm doing it through the BAPI   "BAPI_PO_CHANGE" by populating the structure extensionin but here i'm facing the error as below:-

WCTL Transaction - Add Custom Field Header level

Hi All,
Here at my client's place guys are doing PoC on WCM (PM being used for last couple of years) and the requirement is to have a custom field at Header level of WCTL (WC Application Change ) with F4 option.
I have created a custom field with z table for master data to it (will be used as check table for this field) and appended it to the WCAAP - WCM: Application using append structure option.
Now I need to add this field at the header level of the mentioned transaction. I searched throgh for any available exits, BADI's or enhancement spots with no success. Even Inforums i couldnt find any help and hence this message.

First of all thank you verymuch for the quick reply.
I tried to search for the BADI definition (BADI_WCM_WAPI_001) and Enhancement Spot (ES_WCM_BADI) (se18) with no success. We are using ECC6.0 with SAP_ABA patch level 10, EA-APPL (SAP Enterprise Extension PLM, SCM, Financials) at level 7.
Does this has any impact on why I couldnt find it or is there something that I am doing wrong... Please guide me...

Purchase Contract Overview Tab Custom fields showing in Header Tab

Hi Team,
I have added Custom Fields in Contract Overview Tab using Structure called /SAPSARM/S_CLL_STR_HEADER in veiw level.
In SPRO Metadata level i have added append structure in INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_CTR.
Path is--> Extensions and Field Controls --->Define Customer Fields on Header Level --> append for Customer Fields on Contract Header.
But custom fields are showing in Overview Tab as well as Header Tab. Here in Webdynpro View level--> Contract Overview Tab & Header Tab both are using same structure called /SAPSARM/S_CLL_STR_HEADER .
Can some one suggest, how can i restrict custom fields in Header Tab, which are not required.

If i follow the process described by you, i am losing fields in Overview tab as well as Header Tab.
but i have to hide fields only in Header tab, but should be visible in Overview.

The OSS note 672960 has already indicated you need to use BADI to address it.
For Search criteria
You can also use user-defined fields as search criteria. To do this, you have to set fields XINPUT and XDISPLAY to 'X' in table ET_FIELDS for the fields you want to use in BADI BBP_CUF_BADI_2 in method MODIFY_SCREEN. The fields defined this way are displayed if you choose the 'Extended search' link.

I am trying to populate custom fields in Header.
I am populating EXTENSIONIN-STRUCTURE with 'BAPI_TE_MEPOHEADER' and EXTENSIONIN-VALUEPART1 with respective values of fields using the code below.

Hi,
You require to implement the Badi ME_BAPI_PO_CUST
Method MAP2I_EXTENSIONIN or INBOUND
for changing the parameter CH_EXTENSIONIN in method INBOUND
or CH_STRUC in method MAP2I_EXTENSIONIN.
in addition to passing the extensionin parameters in bapi.
implement the above said bapi and put a break point in both of the methods (exactly i don't remember)
and check values are populating in the CH_STRUC structure.
