Customer master - Group Code in Additional Data screen
Hi,
In customer master, in the 'Additional Customer Data' pop up screen (Extras -> Additional Data), you can find a field for group code (KNA1-KATR6). Where in IMG do I maintain the values for this field?

You can maintain this values in the below path
IMG->LOGISTICS GENERAL->BUSINESS PARTNER>CUSTOMERS->CONTROL->DEFINE ATTRIBUTES->CUSTOMER ATTRIBUTES 6
In the above path you can define the required entry and it will appear in the Customer master configuration.

Srinivas DusiHere is the answer: Yes it is possible. Download the file, using option - File Download. File should include all key attributes & also attributes that needs to be updated. (Key here is to have appropriate assignment ID. )
Use the same file for File Upload (modify attributes like Sort Key as required). -
Display Alternative Account in Additional Data screen of FB03
Dear SAP experts,
Transaction code FB03's screen does have an alternative account column. But I want to display
Alternative account when I click on each account (in line item of FB03 screen) or display
alternative account in Additional Data screen of FB03. I don't know how to do it.

To display the "Alternative Account Number" field in report of the new General Ledger, please proceed as follows:
1) Implement Note 895609 and 939649.
2) To display "Alternative Account Number" in the line layout variant, proceed as follows:
- Call transaction O7R3 and add BSEG-LOKKT as special field.
- Then change the line layout variant. The system now displays the "Alternative Account Number" field.
3) In the line item display in the classic General Ledger (transaction FBL3N), you could enhance the custom selections in transaction SE36 as described in Note 310886. However, in the new General Ledger, the custom selection in transaction FAGLL03 has different sub-areas. Each of these areas corresponds to a structure:
G/L account master record SKA1_FS
G/L account company code SKB1_FS
G/L account line item BSIS_FS
Since the "Alternative Account Number" is not included in the structure SKB1_FS in the standard delivery, please implement the enhancement as described in Note 945932. To include more fields in the custom selections of transaction FAGLL03, you can enhance the structures using an APPEND.

I can use LSMW upload the data from legacy system to sap system., but my manager he did not want to use LSMW.He wants to use BAPI function for upload customer master.
I saw this BAPI function create customer master : BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1,
BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA,
it is not enough field for input data.
example : if i want input : customer code,company code, Sales organiration,Distribution channel,Division.
So This BAPI function have not paramaters input this field.

Customer master Post code and city field Issue
Hi,
I am facing a problem with the customer master, In the address tab postal code N0N 1J2 is giving a default value in the city description tab, However the defaulted value is not the correct one.
Eg. if post code 123 has to display DELHI it displays BOMBAY.
Can you suggest where can i change the defaulted value. Is there a table entry missing that should allow this city / zip code combination? Where are these settings maintained.

my requirement is write a report program to upload a file with records.
I have to capture this records into an internal table and have to update values of 5 custom fields based on ADATANR.

Above mentioned that when the values are entered in the customised fields they are not updating in the to the table mara.
so, the program name and screen number which you are configuring in the spro, in that program name and in that screen number code it as below:
(you could find the field statements in that screen for the standard fields like FIELD MARA-MEINS.)
for example:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
FIELD MARA-zzfieldname.

Field BSEG-HKTID does not exist in the additional data Screen

We are facing a problem while posting the parked document. Field BSEG-HKTID does not exist in the screen SAPLF040 0331.
As we want to avoid entering the field-data at the time of payment proposal run using T.code F110, we prefer to enter at the time of posting a parked document or at the time of parking.
We had checked the field status (of Posting key and GL) and its not available.
We refered note 953374 House bank details: Account ID in the document. It asks to activate the RE-FX component. However, we are not in the real estate business hence not logical to do so. How do we need to proceed?

How to Copy Sales Text Data from Customer Master to Sales Order.

I have Completed Configuration for Central Text for Customer Master for two texts 1)Additional Attachments 2) Wooden Packing
I got these two fields in Customer Master.
I need these data to be copied from Customer Master to sales order. But i am unable get these two in to sales order.
Steps which I have done for Text Determination.
1) Text Id in for Text Object KNA1
2)Placed Text Id in Text Procedure and assigned this procedure to Customer Account Group.

In this IMG activity, you define the rules for text determination. You must carry out the following steps:
Select a text object and define the rules for text determination for this object. Text objects are, for example, the sales texts in the customer master record or the sales document header.
Define the permitted text types for every text object. If the text types contained in the standard SAP R/3 System are not sufficient, create new ones.
Define the access sequences. This way, you define how the SAP System should determine the texts for a text type.
Group the text types together in text determination procedures. The SAP System then proposes the text types from the procedure when you maintain a customer master record or a sales & distribution document. The search for the respective text is carried out using the access sequence which you have stored for each text type in the procedure.
Allocate the text determination procedures so that a procedure applies to the following criteria in each case:
account group customer
sales & distribution document type

Enterprise Structure-Company Code/Customer Master

I have a question here. Consider that there is a production system ABC. Within ABC When I go to the company code transaction within the Financial accounting, I see a list of lot of company codes existing. Also I saw that not all the company codes have their related data, by this I mean that I saw that certain company codes have no data like no vendors,no customers existing for that company code. I just want to figure out whats the real Enterprise structure within the system ABC.
,Not only based on SPRO, but to investigate actual data in some of the data tables...to get a 'real' enterprise structure. since from actual data in tables, we can tell if we're truly selling to what countries etc.
Can you tell me how do I analyze this. Do I check each of the company codes and check if we have any reevant dat for the company code. Also do I see what customer master exists under the particular company code in order to determine which countries we are selling to?

In Data Browser: Table KNB1: Selection Screen, put Maximum No. of Hits as blank and execute (F8 from keyboard).
There you will be list of Customer Master with respective company code.

You can use the Attributes field in the customer master. These can be maintained from XD02-->General Data Button --> Extras (Menu) --> Additional Data --> Attributes.
To maintain entries in the field Goto SPRO--> IMG --> Logistic General --> Business Partner --> Customers --> Control --> Define Attributes.

Adding custom fields to VA01 additional data tab without access key
I have to add custom fields at item level in transaction VA01/VA02.
Is access key required to add fields to additional data screen i.e 8459 ?
