Customized JTable can't find keyPressed() event

I'm writing a new table component that extends from JTable. One of the behaviors to be implemented is to prevent the up and down arrow keys from navigating to an adjacent cell. Problem is, when a cell is selected (and being edited), something is handling the keyPressed(KeyEvent e) method before the table. I tried adding a KeyListener() to the component, but that doesn't help. It never gets there either. I suspect it's down inside the editor component - perhaps at the document level? The table does get the keyReleased(KeyEvent e) method okay.
The selected cell does change, but it does not start editing. Subsequent key events (including keyPressed) are captured at the JTable level and consumed appropriately.
What I need is to capture the initial keyPressed(KeyEvent e) and consume it...but where is it getting handled?

When the editor is invoked it has the focus and recieves the key events.
Good Luck with this... I developed my own JTable extension to solve some of the common problems I have with it. It is a mess.
Beware; there are several bugs still in the JTable. Like you can't operate some JComboBox editors with the keyboard. Also, when in an text editor and focus moves off the JTable the contents are lost.
I also was interested in changing the default key navigation. I recall that this is not to hard but did not do it.

Final Cut x can't find my events or projects

Final Cut x can't find my events or projects. I've tried removing the events and projects and put them back into the right folders again but when I start up Final Cut X, the screen looks like a new installed application. Only "New Event" is on the list. I've even tried removing events and projects and tried putting them back one at a time to see if the reason could be a corrupt file or similar, but with the same result.
I've also tried to take some unused events and projects from backup disks and put them into the folders but Final Cut X still don't see any of it. So it doesn't seem that any of the folders or files are corrupted. I quit Final Cut X as usual yesterday and the problem occured 2 hours later when I opened the application.
I've googled the problem since yesterday but haven't found a solution yet. I've even tried re-installing the application twice but nothings helps.
Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Or have tried anything similar?

Thanks for your quick replies. I'm back again now.
My Projects and Events are located in the Movies folder. The subfolders are called "Final Cut Events" and "Final Cut Projects"
They were originally located here from the beginning.
I did move the folders to backup disks and I've formatted the computer a couple of times since I purchased Final Cut X several months ago. I've always moved the folders back to the very same place each time I re-installed my computer and everything has worked fine that way until yesterday. I haven't moved or re-located the folders for at least 3-4 weeks.

Can't find an event

I loaded some photos into iPhoto, and expected to see a new event, which I would merge with an old event.
But I can't find the new event.   I see the photos in "Last Import", and can undo and redo "create event" from there.
I can go to events and search for the photos by name.    Yep, they're there.   Somewhere.   Possibly each in its own event.    But when I cancel the search, I can't find it (my library is large, and sorted last at the top).    If I can't find them, I can't merge them to my desired event.
Any suggestions?

By Date Descending.   The top event is Jan 2012 Photo Stream.
I tried sorting by name then looking for "Last Import" and it isn't there.
I looked in Last Import and saw one photo is named FortW23.
I went to Events and searched for FortW23 and found it.
I right clicked FortW23 and selected FortW23.   It is in "untitled event".
Now I found it - it is in the bottom, after numbers, lower case, and dates.   Odd.   The subtitle is "Nov 27, 2005 - Jan 29, 2012.
I sorted by Date, then looked for 2005.   There it is!   I merged it with a recent event.
The recent event is now in 2005.
I clicked on the event and selected "Photos/Adjust date and time"    It gave me a window which had the adjust greyed out until I changed the date and got the following:
   The original date and time of your first photo is shown below.
   Adjust it to the correct time, and all 27 photos will be time-
   shifted accordingly.
   Original:    1/ 4/2012 7:31:25 AM
   Adjusted: 1/ 3/2012   7:31:25 AM
              [ ] Modify original files
     The original photos will be adjusted by 1 day, 0
          hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds.
   [Cancel]    [Adjust]
I hit Adjust.   It adjusted the photos, but didn't move the event.
So how do I change the date of the event?

Can one get keyPressed events anywhere other than in Canvas?

Hi there,
I have a form displayed
display.setCurrent(form);
but I would like to receive keyPressed events, in particular "game actions" UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT.
As far as I can tell, this isn't possible unless I have a Canvas displayed. :-(
The form is displaying data (a couple of string items) and the soft key commands.
This is only my second MIDP app, so any help would be appreciated.

1. Don't know.
2. Hopefully you have a backup to restore from. Contacts are separate from iTunes, but if you enabled iCloud, then your contacts should be preserved (if you do not use Outlook, Address Book, etc.)

I can't find my events after the update, event manager X not finding anything either

After updating to FCPX 10.1 I managed to import my old projects but I can't open my old events, rendering my old timelines lost.
I downloaded Event Manager X but it can't find any files on my computer or external. Hopefully I'm missing something crucial and obvious, any help is appreciated.

I'm confused by what you mean you said you imported your projects. What action did you take specifically?
When you updated to 10.1 and first opened it you should have gotten a dialogue asking whether you wanted to update your pojects and everts. Did you choose Update All – or something else?

Where can I find the "event" information I had in iPhoto events in new photos app?

Just upgraded to OS X and the new Photos app and I am having a hard time adjusting from iPhoto where I had (happily) organized years of photos into events. I can see my 771 "events" now called albums in a sub-album called "iPhoto events" HOWEVER, I cannot seem to find/view the little notes or summaries of event information that I had inputted in iPhoto. I often wrote a brief (or detailed) bit of information, anecdotes or fond memories about various "events" and now I am frustrated that might all be gone. Can anyone help?

Oops Sorry Jumped the gun again! i found out how to do it. I was using my jot touch styles which mean you have to hold down the icon on the upper left with the styles then use your fingers to do the pinch and zoom gesture to make it work

Updated to 10.1, now can't find projects/events on external drives

Yesterday, I blithely updated my Final Cut Pro X to version 10.1. Now I am totally lost...
I have gradually got used to the way FCP operates and now, all my Events and Projects are on an external drive, organised in a series of folders; current, finished etc.
When I started FCP yesterday, instead of finding any of my events and projects, FCP created a new Library on my HD.
I use a Macbook Air and do not use my small HD for FCP... how do I tell FCP where all my files are?
I can create a new library on my HD but if I try to move it to the external drive, it is copied and if I delete the original, FCP creates another one on the HD...
Getting lost and confused as there appears to have been a wholesale change of the basic way in which FCP functions.
I don't want to use my HD library as a 'working' library, not least because I don't know how to then find the files, to transfer them to the external drive to back them up.
Also, the HD is far too small for this purpose.
How do I go about persuading FCP to set up and then use libraries on my external drives?

You have to let your projects and events sit in the expected folders in order to have FCP X 10.1 update them to new libraries. If 10.1 sees old events and projects in your external drive (they need to be in the places older versions required them, i.e. at the root level in "Final Cut Events" and "Final Cut Projects" folders) it will offer to update them to a new library.
You should heed Philip Hoggetts' advice about using Event Manager X (now free) to help with managing the transition. You probably don't want to gobble up all your previous projects and events in one mega-library, but give it some form of organization. How can I find what Event a photo is in when that photo is found via Faces?

I've stumbled upon a photo via the Faces category. I do not know what Event this photo exists in, but I'd like to know (this same issue can occur with a photo found via Places of course too). How do I find out what Event this photo exists in? Of course I can pull the date or title data from the photo and then search for that data and visually find the photo from the search results, but I would assume there would be a much much easier method.
None of the information data seems to contain any event data. I would think each photo would contain information as to what Event it currently resides in.

Wait until iPhoto is done scanning for new images in the ".. might also be in the photos below" section, then right click (or Option-Click if your mouse has no right button) on the image, and in the last group of the menu that pops up should be an item "Show Event". While it's still scanning for more faces, the "Show Event" menu item isn't shown yet.

CAN't find Parameters, Events and Approval tabs in the Page Properties opti

I am trying to test the approval process. I have created a page group and also created a page under that. I don't find the 3 tabs Parameters, Events and Approval in the Edit Page/Page Properties option. Please reply me what I have to do to activate those tabs.

In your Page Group properties ensure that parameters and events are enabled. Once they are enabled at the page group level, the tabs should appear in your page properties.

Where can I find an event handling for non gui purposes good tutorial

Hello to all, I am searching the net for a good tutorial about java Event and Event handling that is not GUI related.
All I find on the net are tutorial and examples that are related to GUI components the has pre defined events and handlers.
please help me find good material to learn from.

I'd say goto the Java tutorial (www.thejavatutorial.com) and check up from there. Just because most event handleing is done in GUI's (swing comes to mind) doesn't imply its limited to that. For an example, check out the JavaBeans trail. Beans have ways to communicate with each other when (for example) a change in the bean occurs. Thats done through an event yet isn't related to GUI's in any way.

Custom DSC can't find exception class, error about export-packages

I've got a DSC which has a method that can throw two custom exceptions. It all works, and the exceptions show up available for handling in a process in Workbench, but the issue here is that the server.log has this error:
2013-05-13 16:59:35,353 WARN [com.adobe.workflow.AWS] An exception has been thrown for which the class information has not been exported in the service's export-packages, it is essential for the clients of the service to have the class information via export-packages to handle the exception.
Yet I have added the exceptions' package to the export packages. And I also made a DataTypes entry for each of the two exceptions as well.
Does anyone have an idea how I can get rid of this warning?

HT2513 Can not find past events on my iPhone but they are on my computer

When I look on my Iphone any past event is no longer there. But when I go to my computer it is still on the calendar. How do I get it to not delet it off my iphone. Is this a Iphone setting ot an Ical setting?

I'm not aure but have you tried this: on your phone, go to Settings, then Mail, contacts, calendars, then scroll down to Sync, & choose "All events." I hope this helps.
I'm having a problems: in iCal when I do a search, say for a particular Dr. Appt, it will only find UPCOMING appts.
However, sometimes I need to locate PAST appts, but it only finds future ones. Does anybody know how to make this available please?

I will need a little more information in order to help out. What version of Internet Explorer did you down load it to? Smart print is compatible with IE and the versions that is compatible with are 6-9. Depending on the version, you might see at the top in the toll bar on the very right side a icon that look like this: >>, click on that and sometimes you will find the smart print Icon located there. Right click in that bar and go to Customize> Add or remove commands, and then it will allow you to rearrange the icons and then click Reset.

Can't see my events in iCal

Hi all,
maybe someone can help me with the following scenario.
I synchronize my Sony Ericsson cellphone via iSync to iCal. Afer installing new software on my cellphone, all data got lost (of course). As I wanted to synchronize my data to the cellphone again, I realised, that only birthday events are displayed in my iCal. I can't find my events, even I do a search. The weird thing ist, that iSync can synchronize my events, although the events are not in iCal??? Can anybody explain this to me? Where are my events?
Is it possible, that there is a relation to migration to leopard? Well, this happened shortly afert leopard was released, but maybe I didn't realise it, because I use iCal only for backup my cellphone data. And I can see events from 2007, for example.
The other thing is, that events sometimes get lost. But one step after another ...

thanks for your answer. I've tried it once again, because I had to set up my cellphone once again. At this time, the cellphone calendar and ical were empty. I did a synchronisation via isync. My events are in my cellphone calendar now!!!?
Before I did the synchronisation, I added a few events to my ical. These were not synchrinized!!! These events are in ical now, but not in my cellphone. It's weird.
Is there a possibility of a second ical-library or such?

How do I find an event which is triggered on line selection for ALV grid?

I'm trying to find an event which is triggered when a user selects a row in the ALV grid. I want to add my own code in to add up the total values of selected lines, but can't find any event which will trigger my method.
I found CLICK_ROW_COL but it's protected so when I try and add a method for it:
PROTECTED SECTION.
    METHODS:
    select_row
        FOR EVENT click_row_col OF cl_gui_alv_grid.
I get the syntax error:
Access to protected event "CLICK_ROW_COL" is not allowed.
Am I using the right event? Am I implementing it correctly?

I chose to solve this by removing the line select buttons from the ALV and replacing them with a checkbox defined as a hotspot. I then used EVENT hotspot_click FROM cl_gui_alv_grid to highlight the line and change my totals on a single click.
