  • Re: Custom Filter for a table

Can someone point me to a tutorial for overriding the FilterableQueryDescriptor to build custom filter for a table?

In the example you provided, the querylistener is invoked only when the user types in the filter field of the table. How do I invoke the querylistener without the user typing in the filter field? For example, an automatic filter without the user typing in the filter field of the table. In other words, a pre-filled filter field. When the table loads at run time the filter field is already filled with the letters "Sa" without user intervention.

  • How to render Inline scrollbars for a table

    Hi All,
I'm using a large table with nearly 30 columns with the width property of the table set to 2200 and No wrap is set to TRUE on all the columns.
Is there any possible way to render inline horizontal scrollbar for the table instead of rendering the scrollbars on an OAF page ?
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Srikanth Enuguru

I cant help you with the Inline scroll bar you are looking for (dont think we have anything like this in OA Framework). But you can ponder over the idea of showing another region using hide/show feature. You can use this region to show all the additional information for which you need so many columns.

  • CC&B 2.3.1 - Custom indexes for base tables

    Hi,
We are seeing a couple of statements in the database that could improve its performance with new custom indexes on base tables. Questions are:
    - can we create new indexes on base tables ?
    - is there any recommendations about naming, characteristics and location for this indexes ?
    - is there any additional step to do in CC&B in order to use the index (define metadata or ...) ?
    Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi,
if it necessary You can crate custom index.
In this situation You should follow naming convention from Database Design Standards:
    Indexes
Index names are composed of the following parts:
    +[X][C/M/T]NNN[P/S]+
+•     X – letter X is used as a leading character of all base index names prior to Version 2.0.0. Now the first character of product owner flag value should be used instead of letter X. For client specific implementation index in Oracle, use CM.+
+•     C/M/T – The second character can be either C or M or T. C is used for control tables (Admin tables). M is for the master tables. T is reserved for the transaction tables.+
+•     NNN – A three-digit number that uniquely identifies the table on which the index is defined.+
+•     P/S/C – P indicates that this index is the primary key index. S is used for indexes other than primary keys. Use C to indicate a client specific implementation index in DB2 implementation.+
    Some examples are:
    +•     XC001P0+
    +•     XT206S1+
    +•     XT206C2+
    +•     CM206S2+
Warning!  Do not use index names in the application as the names can change due to unforeseeable reasons
There is no additional metadata information for indexes in CI_MD* tables - because change of indexes does not influence generated Java code.
    Hope that helps.

  • Can I create a custom scrollbar for my spark datagrid

Basically I'm trying to customize the look of my spark datagrid.
I'd like to change the header appearance and I'd also like to create a custom scrollbar.
If only Catalyst would implement a custom datagrid component. I mean the datagrid is a very popular component, isn't it?
    Thanks

You need the password for free apps as well as for paid apps. The only ways that you can control what your child downloads is for you to supervise while the downloading is taking place or by totally restricting download apps with restrictions.
When you enter your password and download content, you have 15 more minutes to continue downloading before you have to enter the password again. So if you download and app - then give the iPad to your child - he or she can continue downloading apps or music or any content for the next 15 minutes without any restrictions. IF you sign out of your account, then the child can no longer download. IMHO - You should NOT give your password to your child. That really is not a good practice.
You can set restrictions on the iPad so that the child cannot download any apps at all. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions>On. Then you will have to enter a passcode for the device which you do not want to forget (if you do, you have to restore the device) so if you do this remember your passcode. You can then go to the apps settings within the restrictions and Enable Restrictions and turn off Installing Apps.
This article will provide more information for you.

  • Custom fields for FV50 table control

    Hello,
The customer has a requirement to add 3 text fields to the table control in Transaction FV50. These fields are currently not available in the table control at all (I checked the Table settings Administrator). Further, no Screen/Transaction Variant has been implemented either to prevent these fields from being displayed. Which is why I'd like to find a way to add these custom fields to this table control. These fields are the text descrptions for the numeric fields Cost Center, Fund and Business Area.
I've read many posts on this forum regarding potential solutions including the link below which details the SAP std solution. Only problem is this approach adds these fields to the data dictionary tables underlying the screen. The customer says about 1 million records are being generated a month so they would rather not have all that extra data at the line item level.
    Custom column for FB60
If anybody has done this sort of thing via a user exit I'd much appreciate your input.
    Thanks,
    Tarun

    Hi Rob,
Yes, I checked IMG configuration and found that Txn OXK3 allows us to extend the underlying tables and customize the generic fields in the table control. However, the client  has nearly 1 million postings to table BSEG each month and I'm guessing this approach will entail adding the custom fields to table BSEG, which won't work for them. I haven't actually tried this approach because the SAP documentation has some dire warnings about proceeding. But if you have any insight as to whether this can be achieved without extending BSEG (possibly just extend VBSEGS??) that would be very valuable.
    Thanks,
    Tarun

  • Custom sorting for a Table column

I have a Table object with multiple columns. The first is an alphanumeric unique identifier that is usually utilized by clients as String representations of integers. When a client does use integers, the sorting is completely off. Here is a sample list of how Studio Creator sorts this data:
    1
    10
    11
    12
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    8
9I obviously would like 10, 11, and 12 to come after 9. One way I could do this is to sort the values after they have been left-padded with zeros; however, I don't know how to implement this. I created a small class that implements Comparator in a way that will left-pad all Strings up to a max of 25 characters long, and then sorts them.
How can I have Studio Creator sort like I want it to? Thanks.

    Solved.
I continued down the path of the object that implements Comparator and left-pads all values with zeros up to a total length of 25; I also sorted alphanumeric characters after numeric characters. I overwrote .compare(), .equals(), and .toString(). The issue was that I had to create a custom Converter for the TextField to be able to write updates to it.

    Hello there
I have the same issue: chaging the background color of some column headers.
My application is using a custom skinning and when i had headerClass property with a custom class defined in a separate css file, the page generated specified first the class from the skinning and then my new class definition. But my skinning is specifying a background color so the color is not overriden. Any idea?

  • Create custom scrollbar for Spark Datagrid

I had a custom scroll bar for a MX datagrid.  But recently I got the new Flash Builder 4.5 and it said to use the Spark Datagrid component instead.  So I changed everything to Spark, but now I can't find any info on customizing the scroll bar.  Is this possible?  Should I go back to mx?
According to the documentation in Flash Builder:
"The Spark DataGrid control provides the following features:
    - Custom skins to control all aspects of the appearance of the DataGrid control"
So I'm hoping it's possible but I can't find any info either way.

Thanks.  I'm not sure exactly how I did it, but I started with this document in Flash Builder Help:
"Setting a custom horizontal scroll bar skin on a Spark List control in Flex 4"
I copied the code and changed "s|List" to "s|Datagrid", modified it accordingly for a vertical scroll bar, and I deleted references to "base color" so that it would compile.   Then, I copied in VScrollBarTrackSkin.mxml and VScrollBarThumbSkin.mxml from the Flash Builder directory: Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.1\samples\themes\zen\src\zen\skins.  And I removed the references to the swf files so that it would compile.  Then I embedded my own png images, e.g.: source.up="@Embed(source='/images/thumb.png')". And I got a scrollbar!
Only problem is the example does not have up and down controls.  But I figured this out from looking at the zen skins (VScrollBarSkin / HScrollBarSkin) and copying in the code for the up and down buttons as well.  Now it's working pretty good.
[I did not use any of the Flash Builder wizards/GUI to create the skins or files.  I just created the files individually (as in File - New - File).  Perhaps there's a better way to do it, but this worked for me.]
I'm not sure why you suggested looking at "ScrollerSkin".  This didn't lead me anywhere, though perhaps I was not clear in my question.  But I greatly appreciate your answer, for saying that this is possible, otherwise I would have given up!

  • Customizing Object for table TB019?

    Hello all,
Can you please tell me the Customizing Object for table TB019? The only object I could find was DNL_CUST_CUST3 but this includes TB020 and not TB019.
    Rgds
    Priyanka

    Hi!
I think you already found the object. It is the TB020 that triggers the override. It is very often so that the language dependent tables are the ones being transferred.
A genereal methodology to figure out which load object is involved for a specific R/3-table is to go to transactionse16 in CRM and check the SMOFTABLES-table.
The field R3TABNAME is where you put in your R/3-table. It also allows generic searches such as TB0*.

  • User - exit for STKO table (PCSD0003). How to update customer field.

    Hello,
I made a user - exit for STKO table.
It works like a formula field - calculate total weights of the specification components.
    But there is a problem!
When I add new components  into my specification  or change them, my customer field is now calculated.
I always need to click a Customer tag and explode a user subscreen. Is there any way to sort the problem out?
I want to recalculate my customer field every time I change components?

    Hi,
There is a specific user-exit for delivery-creation/delivery processing/change delivery status.
the program name is MV50AFZ1. Inside this exit, there is a particular sub-routine called as
    FORM USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIPS.
    endform.
May be probably you can try this. This also needs an access key for changing the SAP standard program.
Another way is you can use the BADI : LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC
This BADI influences processing of delivery data, during creation and changing of deliveries at specific points described in the interface. The BAdI methods enable you to read, write, determine, delete, and save your own delivery-related data, and to change the standard delivery data.

  • FI substitutions for custom fields in BKPF table

    Hi,
We are having trouble making the substitution work for the custom header fields in table BKPF.
We have tried straight substitutions, exits and populating the fields on the interface table ACCHD.
Nothing works. But the substitution for the custom fields in BSEG works.
We did activated these substitution rules.
Do we need to have blank instead of "X" in the GB01 table for the field BEXCLUDE ?
Did we miss any thing here or we cannot use substitutions for header custom fields ?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Dave,
Currently, In BKPF table we have entries as follows:
For BOOCLASS "008" we have BEXCLUDE as blank
where as for "015" we have BEXCLUDE as "X" .
Do we need to change this "X" to blank as well ? Also I do not see the custom fields in GB01 table, but I see them in BKPF table though.
We have already regenerated the rules by running RGUGBR00 program.
    Thanks
    Steve
