Customizing form guides

Hi!
I have created a new form-guide layout. In this layout I have defined a text - area which will be used to enter user-comments. (IE. a custom textfield).
I want the value of this custom-field to be displayed in the PDF when I switch between the form-guide and the PDF.
My question is, when I have created variables in a form design, how can I access them (both read and write) in a custom made layout ?

The layout would then need to be imported into Guide Builder where you can place fields from the PDF form onto your guide panel and thus the binding between th etwo is established.

Yes .... the mapping between the XDP and the guide objects does not change. When you are in guide builder you can take your field (XDP) and ask for an alternate display. This is where your custom component will appear. If you base you custom component off of one of our components then the mappings will be done for you. If you start from scratch, then no mapping between the two will exist.

Customizing the text of next,back, and submit buttons in form guides

Hi,
We are preparing some forms in Turkish language. So, we need to change the text of next, back and submit buttons in the form guides. Is this possible? If so, how? Thanks for your help.

This can be done via Flex Builder. There is a good Next panel button example in this guide:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/es/fggettingstarted.pdf. I believe you can also control the text via the style sheet applied to the guide.

I would not recommend touching the standard tables at all unless you are being guided by the SR. For a record to be in the standard table it should go through series of validations based on the what operation you are performing and some times datas are dependent upon the other tables, and also some times the same records are hit to so many other tables simultaneously.
Therefore I would not recommend this brother.

How to submit a concurrent program from a custom form.

I'm use Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.26.0 (Production) and Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2.
I need execute a concurrent program from a custom form.
In the custom form I have a button and when that button is clicked I want to submit this cocurrent program. I am using the below code.

How to Call fnd_submit.submit_program in a custom Form ?

Hi,
Im creating a custom form based on TEMPLATE.fmb in Oracle EBS R12.
I want to call a concurrent program (called: RVCTP) through trigger WHEN_WINDOW_CLOSED or WHEN_BOTTON_PRESSED whatever..
I'm using this function: fnd_submit.submit_program
How i can call it through the trigger ?
I tried :

How to create a Custom form Template..

Hi Eperts,
I would like to seek a help from you regarding creating a custom form template on custom BO. could you guide me where i have gone wrong in successfully creating a Print form. I am in dead need of this particular solution for a client. It is hampering my entire scenario......
1. I had created a Custom BO and I am trying to preview the created form on the OIF screen.
2. I had created a form on above of the custom BO. This created form and form group is activated and configured as of needed by opening it through ALD (Adobe Life Cycle Designer).
3. I had created a BAC element with some scoping questions and activated it. After activating it i had deployed the Business configuration.
4. my solution got updated with the created and deployed BAC elements and i had done scoping for those elements to make my created form available.
5. I can see my form template in Form Template maitaince under Application user managment WOC. I had made it to be available for all users and published.
6. All the above steps are done success fully with no errors.
7. When i accessed my custom BO and tried to preview the created form i am unable to view it and i am seeing the following window.
Could you help me out in solving this or send me across any detailed document regarding this what you had done previously.

It looks like system didn't identify the form template. So please check if the required configuration for "Preview" modal dialog is done properly. In the SDK documentation, refer to section "8.4.3.4 Create a Preview Button for a Print Form"
If you have already done the steps mentioned in the section 8.4.3.4, but still facing the issue then let me know.

To replace standard smartform by a custom form, to be used in PRINT PREVIEW

I have a requirement in CRM 2007 webUI. If we try to create a sales order, then we have a toolbar option button with title "PRINT PREVIEW". It uses the custom smart form "CRM_ORDER_CONFIRMATION_01.
I have to replace this standard form by a Z custom form. This form has soem additional data required for business needs.
Field technical details of the button is :
1. Component Name- BT115H_SLSO
2. View - SOHOverview
3. Context Node - THTMLB
4. Attribute- BUTTON_8
5. Role key - BP_POW_USR
6. Comp. Usage - CUBT Sales Order
7. Object Type - BT115_SLSO
Please reply as soon as possible.

To figure this out you need to do the following:
First determine the action profile for the transaction in question in the IMG.
CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types
Display the detials of the transaction and you will see the action profile. Next copy that action profile by using transaction SPPFCADM. Then in the action defintion for the print action, replace the standard smartform definition with your z-form.
Finally go back into the transaction definition and assign the z-profile to your transaction type. Please note you should only do this with "z-transactions".
I'm not going to go into further detail as this is basic CRM configuration and is valid for all releases. Please look at the best practices guides, or do a search in the CRM General and Framework forum for further information on how to do the configuration steps.

How to set date field in custom form to default to {NOW} plus one year.

I am developing a subscription site. I have the custom form for inputing a users information. I have the subscribe date set up as a default field of {NOW} that works great.
Now I need the renewal field to default to exactly one year from the subscribe date.
Any help would definitely be appreciated.

How to register a custom form under "LEASE -- TOOLS"?

This is my first form development in Oracle Apps.
I have a requirement of building a custom form and to display it under LEASE -- > TOOLS.
I could register the form under a menu by the following steps:
1. Application Developer --> Forms : Enter the custom form name
2. Register a new form function
3. Attaching the form function under a menu
How do I register this form under Lease--> Tools?

How do I register this form under Lease--> Tools?I believe you could follow the same steps but attach the form function to the submenu (instead of the menu itself).
From the Application > Menu, query the main menu to get the submenu, then query the sub-menu and attach the form function.

Digging into the XFA data from AS in the form guide

So I'm delving into the wonderful and wacky world of making custom layouts for Form Guides in Flex Builder, and I've got a question that hopefully y'all can answer or point me in the right direction.
So I've taken the SampleRepeaterAccordion file from the SDK and I want to modify it so that the 'title' of each accordion pane is drawn from the one of the fields in the pane itself. These values get populated in the initialize event of the subform the repeater is built off of, and the values do not change.
So I see that the title is an Hbox with a label that pulls the name of the panel and adds the index after the name. I've been able to modify that statement to pull the item that the repeater instance is based off of using the currentItem property of the repeater. So I have something like:
label="{rpt.currentItem.Resource.value}"
(where 'Resource' is the name of the field in the subform that I want to pull the value from).
This puts "[object Object]" into the label of the HBox. I want the value itself, however. I tried .rawValue instead of .value, but that came out blank.
So how should I be going about fishing data from the XFA form in the action script of the form guide? Or am I headed entirely the wrong direction? I didn't see any docs on this sort of thing. If I missed them, I'd appreciate a pointer to them!

Did you find any solution for it. Is there any way to tell in form guide that which field on the repeater I want to display in header.
I was also thinking of making it in flex a custom component to do that and also add filtering capabilities. do you know how can we filter records in repeater accordion or grid

Issue with Custom Form opening in Oracle apps

I am not sure if this is correct place for this question.

I have created a custom form and tested in forms 6i. I have moved the fmb and fmx files from my local machine to unix box and registered the form in oracle apps (11.5.10).
However, when I open the form from oracle apps, form opens OK but some of the field in form are blacked out-I am able to see the field but its black in color. When I type in field and highlight it with my mouse, the value I typed shows up.
What can be issue here?
I moved both fmb and fmx from my local machine to UNIX box.

Have you resolved your issue? I've run into this before. I failed to subclass all of my objects properly from the APPSTAND.fmb in accordance with the [Oracle Applications Developers Guide | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/acrobat/115devg.pdf]. If you have your items subclassed correctly, double check to make sure your Forms Builder is using the correct color pallet.

Personalize Form to call anothet custom Form

Hi,
In the Invoice form(APXINWKB), when I select the matching method as Purchase Order and click Match, it opens the matching form(APXPMTCH) and I enter the PO number and click Find, it should open the customized form. I customized the form APXPMTCH. Can I call the custom form using personalization. Can anyone give me the steps for this.

You can user personalization to call another form. However, that approach involves using the tools menu.
It seems you would like to change the form that is opened when you try to match.
In that case, try the following.
Go to the FORM screen in Application Developer responsibility and create a new record for the new form you have developed.
And then go to the FUNCTION screen and change the form that is attached to the "AP_APXPMTCH" function.
This way, when the invoice workbench calls the PO matching form, it should open your custom form.
