DAC ETL Load Failed

Hi,
I have followed the:
Oracle® Business Intelligence Applications
Installation Guide for Informatica PowerCenter Users
Release 7.9.6.3
E19038-01
Documentation to install OBIA.
I ran the Sample DAC ETL Load for EBS Financials - Receivables and after it completed 225 out of the 296 tasks it started to fail. I have 70 Failed tasks. I am trying to find out how to debug this. Do you guys know where the log files are stored at.
The Status Description says "Failure detected. Please check log file."
What is the best way to approach this for debugging?

Get the workflow name using DAC Task and look for the log file from location
<Install Dir>Informatica<version>\server\infa_shared\SessLogs

I have mannually checked the Datawearhoues schema, couldnt find the table there. How do i create it. And when does it create it.

DAC ETL tasks failing with Error Code

Here is a copy of just 1 of the tasks that fail. I did search for this and found reference to increasing DB Processes to 500 but that had no effect.
I have tried to reduce the number of Maximum Sessions in Setup to but it had no effect.
Some of the tasks completed. The remaining stay as Failed even after re-running ETL.

Error While running the ETL Load in DAC (BI Financial Analytics)

Need to increase temp tablespace.

Dac 10g etl plan fails without error

Hi
The dac execution plan fails all of a sudden with no failed tasks. There are about 460 tasks in the plan and 300 of them run fine and the rest are just remaining in the Stopped phase. They have a status meassage description like "One or more of the tasks that this task depended did not notify of completion. Stopping.".
I do not see any failed tasks and do not understand where is the fault. I have re assembled subject areas, re generated the parameters and re built the execution plan, but still no luck. On looking the dac etl plan log file I found a message like "896514 SEVERE Thu Nov 24 23:39:10 EST 2011 DANGER: We will hang..."
Please help me if any one has seen this message before.

I faced the same and fixed it by applying the cummulative patch.

Unable to see Data on Dashboard after running ETL Load in DAC(BI Anylitics)

I have Installed and Configured BI Anylytics and my ETL Load is running Sucessfull. But when I open the Dashboard
I am Unable to see the Data. We are configuring Out-of-Box. Can any one please help me.

I did not change anything.I just run the ETL and can see Payables Dashboard.and unable to undestand why I am not able to see General Ledger and Profitibality Dashboards

ETL Load error

Hi
When i ran the ETL load for Project analytics , it errored out.
In the DAC , these 3 items errored

While executing ETL load on a Windows 32-bit machine with DAC v10.1.3.4.1, we were able to execute 24 tasks out of 317 successfully. Then it fails with the following error message:

Incremental load fails with the error LM_44127 Failed to prepare the task

Guys,
I have created a custom mapping and cretaed a execution plan for this mapping in the DAC. The full load completes successfully. But when ever the incremental lod is run , i am getting the below error and the task fails(The SDE load completes sucessfully , but the SIL load fails with the below error).

Hi,
Yes you are right. At one sever where I was getting error, DateTime was in USA format and Where It was running successfully was in AUS format.
I changed from USA to AUS and I did another changes:

DAC ETL tasks Completed with Error Code 36331

Dear Sir,
I have an execution plan task completed with error code 36331.
I know it must be somthing wrong with the workflow.
We are using BI APPS 7.9.5 with Informatica 8.1.1 SP4 on Windows Server 2003.
I don't understand is why DAC didn't fail the task for this error code?
How can I get to fail the task for such error.

Need help finding the row where BI load failed

Hi all,
We use an ETL tool to load data from our staging database into our production data warehouse environment. The environment is Oracle 10g Release 1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server. The ETL tool is Business Objects Data Integrator. At hand the issue is that the data load failed due to an Oracle error
ORA-12899: value too large for column
When I examined the table definition in question, the load fails on one of the table columns in staging since the column is a VARCHAR2 with length of 5 and the ETL load wants to load a value for the table of length 13.
One possible solution is to change the column definition to accomodate the data load. However, since this is a production system, I cannot do this right now.
Is there a method to find exactly what row it failed on during the ETL load for the table in question?

1) Yes, DML error logging is nice feature but it is New Feature in Oracle Database 10g Release 2.
2) Some tools (e.g. Oracle Warehouse Builder) enable you to run your "mappping" (ETL job) in 2 modes - set based (single transaction INS/UPD/DEL/MERGE) or in row based mode (PL/SQL loop, row by row processing). OWB even enables failover mode (I failed in set-based mode, let's failover to row-based mode to find out where is the problem; the errors will be reported in log; you can set maximum number of errors before the mapping terminates with failure status).
3) If you do not have this functionality in your tool than I suggest: Try to understand the transformation and investigate the source data. You can usually find the culprit in the source data. Sometimes you can even extract the SQL behind the transformation and run CTAS (create table as select) and find the exceptions.

ETL load for Project Analytics has many Errors

I created new thread for the ETL load error we are having. Our ETL loaded with the followign status
Total Number of Tasks 302
Number of Succesful Tasks 82
Number of Failed Tasks 214
I went to the failed tasks at the bottom and looked at the log files and the target tables. For many of them there dont seem to be any problem.
For example the task SDE_ORA_Project had the status as Failed. When I clicked Details for the line , it said

Analyze W_PROJECT_DS - Failed
And I opened the log file ORA_R12.DATAWAREHOUSE.SDE_ORAR12_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_Project.log under folder SessLog. I just took few lines to show you the status

The session completed with [0] row transformation errors.
Then i went to the target table W_PROJECT_DS and it had 326 records. THis is the same for many of the failed ones. Remember , our first load failed due to accidental shutdown of the server. This is the second run after I did "Reset Data Sources"
So the otehr problem is our dashboad still shows sample data ( 1.Overview,2.Rankers&Toppers,3.History&Benching,4.Tiering&Distribution). Some of the Project Ananlytics loaded. So i dont know why it did not change. We are using Administrator user. SHould we use a different user.

Windows 8.1 SOFTWARE registry hive load failed on Windows Server 2012

Hello,
I am participated in custom Windwows Software backup/restore project development that requires load of Windows SOFTWARE/SYSTEM registry hives from target OS system drive connected to Windows system.
On all Windows version except Windows 8.1 program works correctly but when host system (on that programm run on) is Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 and target system is Windows 8.1 registry hive load failed with following error:
Failed to load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: [1009] The configuration registry database is corrupt.
After run of 'chkdsk /r' error still remained. All requred security privileges (SE_BACKUP, SE_RESTORE) are applied. All systems are 64-bit.
Generally even system registry editor (regedit) could not open SOFTWARE hive from Windows 8.1 with following error:
Cannot Load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: Error while loading hive.
But when host system is Windows 7 or Windwos Server 2008 then SOFTWARE hive loaded without any problem.
So is there some Windows 8/8.1 registry hives validation mechanism or additional security checks tha prevents load of registry hives fromother OS instance?

The procMon tool shows RegLoadKey is failed when it tried to load the hive on Windows 8.1 (8.1 based WinPE also). On Windows 7, I didn't see the error (Shows Success instead of REGISTRY CORRUPT). Once the hive is load & unloaded on Windows 7 OS, the
check sum of the hive is changed, and I can load the updated hive with regedit in Windows 8.1 OS.

Procurement load fails with socket error in biapps 11.1.1.7.1

While performing a procurement load via CM, my load is getting failed with one of the mapping SDE_ORA_RequisitionlinescostFact and below is the error that is occurring.
Failed child steps: SDE_ORA_REQUISITIONLINESCOSTFACT (InternalID:17404500)
ODI-1217: Session SDE_ORAR1213_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_REQUISITIONLINESCOSTFACT (10930500) fails with return code 17410.
ODI-1226: Step SDE_ORA_RequisitionLinesCostFact.W_RQSTN_LINE_COST_FS fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1240: Flow SDE_ORA_RequisitionLinesCostFact.W_RQSTN_LINE_COST_FS fails while performing a Loading operation. This flow loads target table W_RQSTN_LINE_COST_FS.
ODI-1227: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the source ORACLE connection OLTP.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: No more data to read from socket
Hence im using my Target db as 11.2.0.3.0.
What could be the exact reason behind this issue.
