Data fetching problem in internal table

Hi All,
I have two internal table which are of type as shown below.
itab1 is of following type:
regno(255) type c,
uid type c
itab2 is of following type
regno type regno,
uid type userid,
address type add,
phno type phn.
Datas in itab2 are as follows:
100       01       india              3454534
200       01       china             34553543
300       02       us                  6464654
400       02       uk                   45654
Itab1 is populated using the uid field as key as shown below.
regno                          uid
100 200                           01
300 400                           02
100 200 are values in field regno
01 is uid.
What we have done is collected all the regno which belong to the same uid for sending a single mail to the uid person with both the regno. We are able to achieve this. For this finally we loop into itab1 and fetch the uid and send mail to him.
Now an extra requirement is to send the details of a regno (address and phno) along with the mail. The prob is in our final internal table we have a character field which will have all the regno for a uid (may be upto 20). Each regno will be of length 3.
I have to loop into tab1 and read tab2 to achieve this using uid as key. But regno will for a uid will be combined. I have fetch each regno say 100 first and get the details and then 200 and then get the details and send a mail to uid 01. Then 300 and 400 details and then a mail to uid 02.
Please explain how to get individual regno when i loop into tab1 and read tab2 so that i can fetch the details.

As per my understanding...
In itab1, instead of maintaining all the reg no in the same field(like 100 200 300 ....) againist uid 01
maintain multiple records like
regno udi
100      01
200      01
300      01 etc
(in this case the combination of regno & uid becomes the key.)
now while ur sending mail to the people, just loop the recors of itab1
in the same loop u can just write a read statement to get the remainig details(address, phone no etc..) of that regno from itab2.

What you ask is not easy but it is feasible.
We had the same request to make a case-insensitive search on a text field.
As a reference for our development we took the following example:

In short : the purpose is that first of all you build up a list of all possible values in a separate internal table.
Then use this separate internal table in the FOR ALL ENTRIES clause when you perform the select on the actual data.

Upload data from Excel to Internal table in ECC

Here I am facing a problem for uploading the data from excel sheet to internal table in ECC6.0
Main problem is we don't have any FM ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE.

I am getting problem with internal table & work area declaration.

I am working with 'makt' table ..with the table makt i need to work with styles attributes ..so i declared like this

How to transfer data from a dynamic internal table

to a non dynamic internal table itab which should have the same structure as <dyn_table>.

As stated earlier this can be done only through field symbols...
You cannot create an non dynamic internal table with ANY structure...using DATA statement
If the strucutre is defined well and good...you can create an non-dynamic internal table...
If you do not know the structure then the internal table has to be dynamic...and to be generated using field symbols
DATA: lv_ref TYPE REF TO data.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_dyn_table> TYPE STANDARD TABLE.
* You create a dynamic internal table...
CREATE DATA lv_ref LIKE (your_dynamic_internal_table).
ASSIGN lv_ref->* TO <fs_dyn_table>.
Now...do the transfer.

Hi Marcelo,
For compatibility matters is better to create internal tables with a work area separately. So yes it's better to use types. When you work with Object Oriented coding you will need to use internal tables defined with types. Also when defining tables with types is the new way of coding, the another coding is getting obsolete defined by SAP. That's why when working in ABAP with OO (Object Oriented) code you'll have to define tables with types and not the other way.

Upload data from Excel to Internal table

Hi,
I am facing a peculiar problem in uploading the data in excel sheet to internal table.
The excel file contains material number and product hierarchy number. The product hierarchy number for some material is downloaded as 5.73101E17 for the value 573100910115782000. Though I expand the sheet the display is the same 5.73101E17. When i upload the sheet using the f'n module "ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE" the value is taken as it is (5.73101E+17) into the internal table which is wrong. I tried to change the data type to type n. Then the value is uploaded as 5731011700000000.
Please propose a solution to this without having to change the format of the column from general to "number without decimals"

Data package's data coolection in one internal table of Update rule in bw

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement in bw which demands to create update routine, in which I need to find the vendor for the material, which doesn't have vendor by some business rule but, here in this case data is divided into different datapackages so here in this case material data is splited over different datapackages.
One material can have n no of records with differnt plants.
My only question is like can we collect all datapackage data in one internal table.
Ex: if there are total 5 datapckages, so in update rule can we collect all these datapackages records?
Please suggest your opinion.

Data overflow in the internal table

ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE.but the problem is if a particular field has no value in excel sheet,then its not uploaded into internal table.then next field value has come to that blank place in d internal table. what i need is if the excel sheet has a blank value for a field then a blank value is added in d inetrnal table also.
