Data Grid - Complete List with no Vertical Scroll

Hi Guys,
I have a datagrid. The height and width are set to 100%. The data grid is inside an Advanced datagrid which is also set to height and width of 100%.
When each row of the advanced data grid is expanded, the data grid is displayed. It displays with a scroll bar. I want to display all the entries with no scroll. How is this achieved. Please post your comments.

are both viable says
you can also
body {
overflow-y: hidden;
however, you must understand that this might not show up the exact same in I.E. or FF...there's other work arounds with CSS, etc. but they might also cause a lapse issue.
in order to fix your cause, I would just assume you give your datagrids absolute positioning, and, w/h ratio size...

Help with a vertical scroll bar issue with a List component

hi. i have a basic <s:list> that uses an XMLListCollection as it's data provider and a very basic itemrenderer. when a row in the list is clicked a function gets the list.selectedIndex then populates some text fields with more xml data. that all works fine.. the problem i have is that the vertical scroll bar on the list seems to be "clickable" - just like a row in the list. the scroll bar scrolls normally but when it's clicked the selectedIndex becomes -1 which is not helpful b/c the value -1 is passed to the XMLListCollection.
any ideas? cheers.

thanks but still problematic...surely the <s:List> component shouldn't return a value when the scrollbar thumb is clicked? i created a very basic list (see below) and made the list dimensions short enough so that there is a vertical scrollbar and found that when the scrollbar thumb is clicked the trace(event.currentTarget.selectedIndex) returns a number. that's annoying b/c i just want a selectedIndex value for a row that is clicked not the scrollbar.
any ideas to get around? cheers

BDC: How to enter data in Table control (With wizard) using scrolling?

Using BDC, I am trying to enter the data in the table control (with wizard).
I want to know what is the specific command to scroll down in table control (With Wizard).
While recording I am getting these steps:

How to make sure override public function set data(item:Object) is called on vertical scroll

I am facing an issue with my datagrid with renderers on all its columns.I need to enable or disable the render components based on values in different columns in the row.Its works fine in most of the places .But in some places which is not visible without the scroll,it seems the set data function is not called,because of which the component will be enabled when it has to be disabled.How do i ensure it works fine all the time.

The set data is probably being called. Keep in mind that renderers are recycled so the enabled/disabled state must be fully derived from the row's data.

Issues with Timeline vertical scroll adjustment

Hello,
My timeline has just gone wiggy. The video upper half of the timeline has no vertical slider, unlike the audio slider below. FCP was functioning fine and suddenly adopted this issue. The video part of the timeline, will continue to rotate around the tracks that are in place with out stopping. If i change the size of the timeline screen it will reset. If I attempt to scroll on the video side of the timeline it just continually rolls the video timeline around - as though the tracks are infinite v1- v?. Any fixes are appreciated.

Yes you must.
Jon Chappell has written a nifty little app that allows you to back up the prefs to a safe place then to trash the ones in FCP. You can then selectively restore those user settings that might be useful.

Horizontal scrolling with a vertical scroll wheel

Recently I sadly had to ditch my mighty mouse. Good by little friend.
I couldn't justify spending 45 minutes of my day trying to clean the wheel.
I miss horizontal scrolling now. I've been told that one can get horizontal scrolling by holding the shift key, but that doesn't work for me.
Any ideas?

My apple mouse that came with my iMac G5 started sticking which was causing problems when I tried to double-click. I bought a Logitech Optical Mouse which works fine on my iMac even if it was intended to be used with a PC. I can even right-click to bring up the options you would get by ccontrol-click an apple mouse. Also the Logitech mouse is cheap compared with an apple mouse.

Hi Nikhil,
You need to develop an application for your requirements. First designe a table in the back end for the required information, then later, when one user add the data into the form or IView , you need to store the user Id into the database in order to process and validate it.
When the second user or superior as your requirement comes and open the IView , it will validate user and display either approve sheet or fresh sheet .

FYI: Confirmed flaw with Outlook Auto-Complete lists w/Exchange Online

Ever since our organization migrated to Exchange Online we noticed a flaw with how Outlook's Auto Complete list (nickname cache) operates. We've finally gotten a confirmation from Microsoft that the following is indeed a problem:
Each entry in a user's local Outlook auto-complete cache is represented by an LDAP distinguished name.
When Exchange is hosted on-premises these entries pretty much never change.
When your organization is hosted on Exchange Online, the distinguished names for your mailboxes can change without notice due to maintenance processes (Microsoft's engineers have confirmed this to be true).
There are other ways that a mailbox's distinguished name can change (re-creating a mailbox, etc.)
Outlook's local auto-complete cache has no way (currently) to reconcile changes should any of its entries' distinguished names change in the cloud.
When the entries in the local auto-complete cache become "stale" the following may happen:
Emails to affected recipients can bounce back.
Emails to distribution groups containing members which have stale auto-complete entries can bounce back.
On occasion no NDR is even generated (BIG PROBLEM).
As noted above, we've gotten Microsoft to admit that this is indeed a problem with Outlook when combined with Exchange Online. I was told that the Outlook product team has been notified of this problem. However, in order to escalate this issue I was
asked to spread the word to other customers so they can also chime in if they've been affected.
Please supply your feedback to Microsoft and ask that Outlook be enhanced to either reconcile the local auto-complete list with the online GAL, or provide some sort of notification to the user that an auto-complete entry has become "stale" or invalid.

Hi,
There is nothing called as Outlook's local nick-name cache. This resides on the mailbox and not outlook and supports only 1000 entries only. If the entries exceeds 1000 it will not function correctly.
After the .nk2 file has been imported into your mailbox, Outlook writes a value into a hidden message in your mailbox.
To locate this property in MFCMAPI, open the
Associated Contents table of the Contacts folder. Then, select the message with
Subject = IPM.Configuration.ContactPrefs.
Then, double-click the PR_ROAMING_DICTIONARY property to see the configuration setting nickname cache import. The value to examine is
pImportedContactNickNames (True = the import has already occurred).
Since you are facing issues at this point of time, it needs to be corrected. I would appreciate if you can open phone support case with O 365 team and ask them to escalate to Exchange Level , we should be able to work with
you and correct the issue

Vertical Scroll in Dynpro Table Control

I am currently having an issue with the vertical scroll control in my classic dynpro table. When I scroll down it will scroll past the first record and then freeze. I cannot scroll back up to the first record. If I try to scroll down it jumps many records and then will not let me scroll back. I have compared the coding from this screen to one that works and cannot find any differences. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Freeze column headers in a table and enable vertical scroll bar on the rows

I have seen demos of BI Publisher running an html view of a report that displays a table of data with a vertical scroll bar on the table. The table header is always visible as you scroll down on the rows of the table. Any idea how this is achievable?

If you listen to the DataGrid's headerRelease event, the event has a property columnIndex to let you know which column the user wanted to sort. So you don't need 10 functions, just one with a switch statement, which is reasonable.

How to set the data in af:selectOrderShuttle with reorderOnly "true"

I created codes like below, but after the page is loaded, there is not any data in the list. even I added a String array(employeeMB.columns) with some value in the managed bean, nothing did I get. I am using an array collection to store a month name and a
list of the monthly sales for a list of people, which are in their
own array collection. Adding an item to the array collection looks
something like this:
myCollection.add({month:"January",salesArray:someArrayCollection});
Where someArrayCollection has the January sales for a number
of people. The point of setting it up this way is that the size of
the embedded array collection (the number of people to display)
changes depending on what geography the user selected. Simply
binding this to a data grid leaves me with two columns, one listing
the months, and the other listing all the people's sales for that
month separated by commas within the grid tile. How can I break
these out into separate columns?
I know that you can list out the DataGridColumns within a
DataGrid and specify which field the column refers to. I'm trying
to find a way to set the dataField attribute to a particular item
within the embedded array. I would think that the code would be:
dataField="salesArray.getItemAt(0)"
to return the first person's sales in it's own column, but
this doesn't work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

But I want to know:
- How do I populate a DataGrid Component? Like a List
Component? (you said they are quite the same, I assume methods to
apply are identical...)
-In the same way, I can pull out the data from a DataGrid as
I do for the List, right?

Data Grid Mania!

I need help with my data grid control. It doesn't display any
data when it gets data. It is getting data in this format:

and the component is this:

yea while i was working with VB , i was using data grids that lists the records those came from the access database.
i'm using an access database again ,but with java codes i wanna do listing. im not making an applet, but a self GUI application, and dont know how to list the records. because in applets there's paint() method.in such an example of mine there's not.
what can i do? if there is no data grid or something alike in java for self GUI applications, how can i list them as a whole in a frame?
