Data Grid Development

Hello,
i develop the UI framework, i need to develop a data grid component to use in the wpf project and asp.net project in the same time, any idea ?

WPF and ASP.NET are two totally different technologies so this will probabably be impossible. It is a bad idea anyway. If it was possible to use the very same controls for both WPF and ASP.NET applications, Microsoft would probably have implemented
these controls already :)
You should use the built-in DataGrid control in your WPF applications and some ASP.NET control, like for example the GridView, in your ASP.NET applications.

  • Is it possible to return a data grid in sql developer from package?

    Hi, I am in need of some help in returning a datagrid rather than just a list from a package. This is my package:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY C_1
    as
    PROCEDURE COUNTING1 (C_YEARFROM IN NUMBER, C_TABLE_NAME IN VARCHAR2) is
    yearCount NUMBER;
    c_sql long;
    BEGIN
    execute immediate 'SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT SPECIES) FROM '||C_TABLE_NAME ||' WHERE year >2007' into yearCount;
    dbms_output.put_line('Distinct species count: ' ||yearCount);
    end counting1;
    end c_1;
    Is it possible to get the results of these in a table or data grid in sql developer, e.g. I would like to sort results etc rather than just a flat list? Something a bit more elegant then dbms_output.put_line?
    Thanks

    yes, I copied the wrong code into the example - what I actually want to display in a grid is the following:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE RSET_CURSOR IS
    cursor rs_cursor is select species, location from ot;
    r_c rs_cursor%rowtype;
    end;
    create or replace package rset_cursor2
    is
    procedure printSpecies;
    end rset_cursor2;
    create or replace package body rset_cursor2
    is
    procedure printSpecies is
    begin
    open rset_cursor.rs_cursor;
    loop
    fetch rset_cursor.rs_cursor into rset_cursor.r_c;
    exit when rset_cursor.rs_cursor%notfound;
    dbms_output.put_line(rset_cursor.r_c.species);
    end loop;
    close rset_cursor.rs_cursor;
    end;
    end;
    I have also just noticed the list I am getting is only including one column of data where it should include 2, have I omitted something?
    Thanks

  • SQL Developer 1.1.0.21: Issues with Data Grid and SQL syntax checking

    In this new release of SQL Dev, when I execute a SQL in the SQL Worksheet and click in the Data Grid in the Results tab and try to navigate within a record using arrow keys, the grid cell enters into edit mode by default and so I cannot use the Left or Right arrow keys to navigate the grid. I am forced to use tab key to navigate. This is counter intuitive in my opinion.
    Is there any option to change this behavior?
    Another issue that I have come across is with SQL syntax checking. In some cases, when I press F9 to execute a SQL, it shows the SQL as executed i.e. shows something like 0.0134 seconds in the toolbar and no results displayed. In reality, the SQL had some syntax error which were NOT reported. This can be frustrating since now I have to fall back to SQL*Plus or TOAD just for syntax check.
    I like the fact that SQLDev highlights the current SQL but it would be more useful if it just indicated the first line of the current sql instead of highlighting the whole sql.

    In the "Results" tab, Click Ctrl & Tab keys (at the same time) or with mouse click on any cell other than the first column (a sequence or rownum), you will be able to navigate using the arrow keys.

    The 0.0134 seconds could be the result of the most recently executed successful statement. Check the Script Output tab for errors. Use F5 (Run Script option) instead of F9.

    On the SQL statement (or code), Right Click -> Format SQL (or press Ctrl & B), proper formatting would help.
    I use version 1.0.0.15.57 and seems to be working allright.

  • SQL Developer 2.1.1 ORA-00911: invalid character in Data Grid

    Hi,
    When I try to view data in Data Grid from table that has column name in format underscoreNAMEunderscore I get ORA-00911: invalid character.
    As far as I can tell the problem is same with all 2.x versions. Version 1.5.5 works OK.
    Is there a way around the problem?
    Thank you for your help.

    I see no answers :-(
    Is there a chance this gets listed as a bug and fixed?

  • BUG in data grid and run script (V1 1467)

    Hi,
    I found a weird bug in data grid when displaying data defined as NUMBER(10,0).
    We have a table with a column defined as NUMBER(10,0). Whenever this column contains data >5000000000 the data in the row shows up as null (empty cell) in the data grid.
    I played around a bit and found that running a scrip like select * from testtab where a > 5000000000; with F5 it stops at the first number >5000000000. Running the script with F9 shows all rows correct.
    I'm running on WIN2000 using SQL Developer V1 (Build 1467).
    The error was not present in Build 1422.

    I tried the SQL you supplied (by the way, the table name helps in the INSERT statement) and then went to the DATA tab to view the data.
    Interesting results.
    Even though all of the insert statements executed successfully, only 2 of the rows had any data displaying in columns A and C. All rows had data in column B.
    Now for the real fun: by selecting one of the empty cells the "missing" data would appear. Try a commit (yeah, I know nothing has been updated, but SQL Developer doesn't know this) and check out the UPDATE statements that are generated in the log. The cells I selected are being updated with the "missing" data. Refresh the display and the data goes into hiding again.
    I don't even want to get into the dangers of a tool updating data when all you've done is to get focus on a field. I've already seen it wipe out the time portion of date/time stamps simply because the default setting for the date/time format does not include the time.
    Good start on a tool guys, but it's not quite ready for Prime Time.
    BTW...I'm using Oracle 9.i running SQL Developer on Windows 2000.

  • Bug in 1.5.1 Deleting number value in data grid

    Hello,
    it is not possible to set a number in a column to NULL by simply deleting the value
    DROP TABLE tab_test;
    CREATE TABLE tab_test(
    dat DATE
    ,num NUMBER
    ,var VARCHAR2(2)
    INSERT INTO tab_test (dat,num,var)
    VALUES (TO_DATE('01.01.2009','dd.mm.yyyy'),4,'ff');
    COMMIT;Open the table in SQL Developer and select data tab.
    Deleting the date value and commiting is ok

    Commit Successful
    Deleting the number value and commiting raises an error
    UPDATE "RVS_FE"."TAB_TEST" SET NUM =  WHERE ROWID = 'AAA6Q0AAGAABHUlAAA' AND ORA_ROWSCN = '10443975285'
    One error saving changes to table "RVS_FE"."TAB_TEST":
    Row 1: ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected NUMBER got DATE
    Rollback Successful
    Deleting the char value and commiting is ok
    UPDATE "RVS_FE"."TAB_TEST" SET VAR =  WHERE ROWID = 'AAA6Q0AAGAABHUlAAA' AND ORA_ROWSCN = '10443975285'
    Commit Successful

    Jim, I could reproduce and see the error, no change columns order.
    You can use the Marwim script's and, on the data grid, select the column DATE, delete value and commit.
    On the data grid, select the column var, delete value and commit.
    On the data grid, select the column num, delete value and commit -> get error.

  • User-Defined Type does not display values in Table Data grid

    I have a User defined Type that is a collection of one character VARCHAR2 values. In the Table Data grid it does not display the character values. I know on all our other Oracle development applications these values display. Is this a bug or is there a snippet to display these values?

  • How to put an image in a data grid in Flex Builder 2

    Hi All,
    I need to populate a data grid with some text data received
    from a web service and, in a particular column of the datagrid, I
    have to put an image depending of a specific data returned me by
    the web service.
    It seems that there is the possibility to add an image in
    data grid column with the cellRenderer properties, but this
    property is available only for ActionScript 3.
    I'm developing an application in Flex Builder 2 that run
    ActionScript 2 and cellRenderer properties is not available. Is it
    right?
    If no, I will can use this cellRenderer properties in my
    application. Please, can you show me an example?
    If yes, there is a way to insert an image in datagridcolumn
    with ActionScript 2?
    Thank you very much
    Regards

    Flex Builder 2 uses Actionscript 3.
    You will need to write a renderer for for this column.
    There are a lot of examples of datagrids with images in them.
    here is one from the livedocs

  • Data grid and copy/paste

    I am using windows and the latest build of SQL Developer. Click on a Table name > Data tab to see the data grid representing data in the table. OR....run any SQL returning a result set. Either case, select a cell. CTRL + C now works as expected, good. But the copy operation copies a TAB too for somereason. A real pain when I paste into a manual SQL block or something.
    Also, any way we can change the data grid when browsing a tables data to require a double-click to edit a cell? This would be a Good Thing(tm)
    DK

    The tab in the copy is good IF you are selecting multiple cells - if you only select a single cell, it is a painAgree completely, copying a single cell should have no additional characters at all.
    Also agree on the double click, although I would like something similar to TOAD whereby to edit a cell that already has focus only requires a single click. I like to move the selected field around using the cursor keys (I find this quicker) and then hitting either Enter or single clicking or just start typing to begin editing. Double click would still work (for those who like to double click).

  • Who will have access to data grid

    do end user can have access to Data Grid.
    general who will have access to data grid i.e both end user and hfm developer can access to the data grid in real time.
    Can any one pls tell
    Thanx

    Access to datagrids is controlled by the "Security Class" which is selected when saving the datagrid. By default this value is [Default]. Security classes are defined within shared services, and users or groups are subsequently given rights to security classes.
    A user can access a datagrid if he has "Read" or "All" access level on the datagrid's security class.
    Different kinds of users, whether end users, power users, key users, developers etc, are given access to grids (and other hfm objects like forms, documents, reports, dimension members etc) according to the above mechanism.

  • Add Total for a Column in Data Grid Screen Based on Query

    Hi Guys , I have query based on table Payments in which I search By Start Date , End Date  and tenant person [ from drop down List ].
    How to display sum of Payments.[Amount] column in the query screen , which off-course varies for selected person.
    Omar

    The data grid doesn't support calculating aggregate functions on columns automatically, but you can write a little bit of code to show the total of the payments right beneath the data grid.
    Add a screen member called PaymentsTotal that is the same type as the column that you want to sum.
    Drag out the screen member to be underneath the data grid. You can change the sizing settings (e.g. Horizontal Alignment) so that it aligns with the data grid how you want it.
    Select the Payments collection and select Payments_Changed from the Write Code drop down.
    In the generated method, write the following code:
    partial void Payments_Changed(NotifyCollectionChangedEventArgs e)
    // Total is the name of the property in my Payment entity that I want to sum
    this.PaymentsTotal = this.Payments.Sum(p => p.Total);
    When you run the screen, the PaymentsTotal property will show the total of all of the payments that are shown in the data grid.

  • How can change the font in the script output and the data grid ?

    How can change the font in the script output and the data grid in Sql Developer?

    You can't easily unless you have the latest version (2.1.1).
    If you do have this version then changing the font in the Tools/Preferences menu under the code editor/fonts section will also change the font of the data grid.
    For details of changing the fonts in an earlier version then see Sue's post below.

  • Data Grid, how to avoid unintentional data manipulation

    Hi,
    Is there a option to avoid unintentional writing in the data grid ?
    And if not, please implement such a toggle button for Security reasons.
    Andre

    Hello K.
    thank you for interesting in and care about my mental health.
    I'm alive and kicking.
    But if I follow your logic the developers of TOAD must have a real big (mental) problem.
    They are obviously that kind of paranoid that the say:
    “Our data grid is protected always against data modification as long as the user does not explicitly put the rowid to the column list to undoubtedly make clear that they want to manipulate some data.”
    I asked them if this is really needed, because in SQL Navigator there is just a simple button to toggle between RW and R only (What I definitely prefer) .
    And the said YES – to avoid unexpected / accidentally changes.
    Do you find that still strange?
    If yes these guys must be more ill then the two of as can imagine.
    But I’m very sure that they are alive and kicking too.
    By the way - one of my questions remained unanswered:
    Did you ever analysed other tools to pick the best feature of them in order to implement they into your tool?
    If not, believe me you should. It is worth the effort.
    Otherwise it is quite possible that you will take an unfounded amount of time till you will have reached a equivalent level.
    Or do you want to be behind the others for eternity?
    If you had the task to develop an new car would it ever come into your mind to build it with without a backward gear and simply to wait until someone requests something like that.
    Some (useful) standard has been set before you came up.
    What about a little less self satisfaction and a little bit more respect.
    That’s my advice for you (also) beyond the sqldev tool .

  • Data grid performence

    Hi ,
    We are developing a real time application and using data grid
    for data rendering.
    At least 4/5 data grid rows are being updated within one
    second. For each updating data grid refresh all the visible rows
    and hence it get refreshed 4/5 times in one second. This eats very
    much CPU time.
    Can any one suggest me how I can update a particular cell/row
    without refreshing other cell/row data grid.
    Thanks
    Manish BIllore

    Hi Prakash,
    Increase the performance of the database can be related to many areas.
    If you think that your database performance is poor, please check the following topics.
    Hardware
         You need to detect if you have any hardware contation (I/O, Memory, CPU)
    Operating System configuration.
         File system/disk distribution.
         Kernel parameters as recommended by SAP/Oracle (Unix)
         Other configurations recommende.
    Oracle Profile
         Review your Oracle profile to identify possible problems in instance's configuration.
    Application
         You need to identify if the performance problem is related to all system, or only by a determined transaction or process.
    As you can see, performance its a long subject.
    If you can detail your environment and your performance problem, includding your configuration, I will try to help you.
    Regards,
