Database Querry error when using # in column name
I am using the Database toolkit to work with a MySQL database.
Some of the columns in the database have names with special characters:
Batch# and Employee#. The database tools give me an error when I
try to write data to those fields. I have tried square brackets
around the column name [Batch#] but that doesn't seem to help. Is
there a way to update these fields with the Database tools?
Here is the errror:

how to resolve unresolved column error when we change column name in BMM Layer and removed alias in presentation layer
Looks like the presentation column got Alias before your BMM changes, so in your case renaming logical column and deleting alias is not good to go.

After loading Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop PC (Windows 8.1; 64-bit OS), opening and closing a previously saved pdf file, I constantly get a message pop-up that indicates a "database organizer" error.
How do I fix this?
I have read multiple responses at various forums and they do not seem to apply, or have not worked for others, with regard to the details of my version of Acrobat and Windows OS.
I'm beginning to think that the only solution is to purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro and install it on my PC, which, of course, I would prefer not to do, unless this is my only viable option.
Can this problem, specific to my version of Acrobat and Windows OS, be fixed or is the simple answer: purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro, because there is no fix for my version of Acrobat/Windows OS?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

XPath 2.0 specifications define a fn:format-date function but Oracle has not included yet in its XQuery implementation.
Easiest way to go is A_Non's solution, but if you need to format at multiple places in the query, you can declare a local XQuery function.
For example, to format to "DD/MM/YYYY" from the canonical xs:date format "YYYY-MM-DD" :
{code}
declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
let $s := xs:string($d)
return concat(
substring($s, 10, 2), "/",
substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
substring($s, 2, 4)
{code}
and an example of use :
{code}
SQL> CREATE TABLE test_xqdate AS SELECT sysdate dt FROM dual;
Table created
SQL> SELECT *
2 FROM XMLTable(
3 'declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
4 {
5 let $s := xs:string($d)
6 return concat(
7 substring($s, 10, 2), "/",
8 substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
9 substring($s, 2, 4)
10 )
11 }; (: :)
12 for $i in ora:view("TEST_XQDATE")/ROW/DT
13 return element e {
14 attribute xs_date_format { $i/text() },
15 attribute local_format { local:format-date($i) }
16 }'

Kerberos error when using a DNS name that doesn't match the Active Directory domain name
I am running into a weird issue with a new SQL Reporting Services server I built. I installed SQL Reporting 2014 on Windows Server 2012 R2 and configured Kerberos, but the site is extremely slow. After some reconfiguration and log captures I have determined
the issue has to do with the Kerberos setup but it is an exact replica of a Windows Server 2008 R2 server we currently have and it does not have these issues.
The error I see while using Wireshark is KRB Error: KRB5KDC_ERR_BADOPTION NT Status: STATUS_NO_MATCH.
When I drill down the into the error I can see the kerberos string is testprjmnmtreports14.company.com, which is the URL we are using to access the site. I made sure to add that name as an SPN for the service account that is running SQL Reporting Services,
however I still receive the error.
Then I tried configuring the site to run without a hostheader, so I accessed the site with the server name ECTSTSQLRS5 and the site works perfectly fine, no errors are reported either. So it seems I have isolated the issue down to Kerberos but I am not sure
how to resolve it. Here is some more information about my environment:
DNS/URL used: testprjmnmtreports14.company.com
Server Name (FQDN): ECTSTSQLRS5.company.int
AD Domain Name: company.int
Server Version: Windows Server 2012 R2
AD Functional Level: 2008 R2
I also have the following SPNs set for my SQL service account:
http/testprjmngmtreports14.company.com
http/testprjmngmtreports14
http/ECTSTSQLRS5.COMPANY.INT
http/ECTSTSQLRS5
As you can see I am trying to use a .com address but my AD domain is .int which I think is the issue, but I do not have the same problem on my other server that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
Has anyone see this issue before? What do I need to do to allow my new site on 2012 R2 to work with this DNS Alias?
Thanks,
BrandonHi
Quote from there; Kerberos errors in network captures
The most common scenario is a request for a delegated ticket (unconstrained or constrained delegation). You will typically see this on the middle-tier server trying to access a back-end server. There are several reasons for rejection:
1. The service account is not trusted for delegation
2. The service account is not trusted for delegation to the SPN requested
3. The user’s account is marked as sensitive
4. The request was for a constrained delegation ticket to itself (constrained delegation is designed to allow a middle tier service to request a ticket to a back end service on behalf on another user,
not on behalf of itself).

List Views displaying error - when using Lookup column for filtering ( which are indexed )
I'm trying to filter a large list that has more items than the list view threshold. The list has a lookup column that is indexed. If I try to filter by other columns, the view works fine as long as it returns fewer than 5,000 items. However, if
I try to filter by the lookup column, I get the error about not being able to display the items because the list is too large.
The views are returning items which are less than threshold value , but still I am seeing the same issue.I Created some pages and added this filtered views to the pages it is showing below error
This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold ....
IF I navigate the view in the list it's returning zero records with out any error page . But no records.
Is there a known issue with filtering large lists by lookup column? Any other troubleshooting suggestions? Everything I'm doing here is through the web interface.Thank you for your reply. Yeah it’s default limit. But when I created view based on some filter condition on lookup column it’s not working.
For example:
Created a View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept = HR , returned 1400 items
Created another View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept=Admin , returned 3600 items
Adding this list view webparts to the page also working fine , displaying the results .
After adding one item to this list , both the views are not displaying any results. Now the count is 5001.(it exceeded the list view threshold)
The page where the list view web parts are added throwing the below error.
This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold (5000 items) enforced by the administrator.
To view items, try selecting another view or creating a new view. If you do not have sufficient permissions to create views for this list, ask your administrator to modify
the view so that it conforms to the list view threshold.

creating views for large lists.
I am experiencing this problem only with lookup columns, Choice and site columns are working fine in this same situation .

Error when using Oracle Migration WorkBench (Sql Server 2k to Oracle 8i)
I'm trying to migrate a Sql Server 2k database to an Oracle 8i schema using OMWB. After using BCP to collect metadata information on the source database, I tried to capture the source data model and got a "Capture aborted" message on the progress screen (even though then it appears a dialog window reporting "0 errors and 0 warnings", funny!). Down there is the error log OMWB generated. After reading some posts, I changed some columns of the OMWB dictionary that holds the source database name, but still got the same error. If someone can enlighten me on this toppic, I'd greatly appreciated it.

APEX 4.0 "Use Generic Column Names" not working
Hi,
I have a report which is a SQL query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query) in APEX 4.0. For this region i have selected the option "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at run time only)".
For some reason when I run the page the browser just shows the error "The requested URL /apex/f was not found on this server". This happens only for the region type "SQL query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query)" . If I choose the report region as SQL query and select the option "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at run time only)" That works fine. This happens only in APEX 4. Is it an apex 4 bug or am I missing something?
Thanks
Sashika.Hi,
Just managed to get it running. The Apex 4.0 SQL query (PL/SQL function returning SQL) works just fine. I had a small error in the query itself. In the PL/SQL function I had a referenced page item whose value in the initial run is set to null which is making the fuzz. Just adding an NVL resolved the problem. -

Multi Row Selector using Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)
Hi,
I created a tabular report which had a multi row select in it - got the deleting working fine.
Am now creating a second tabular report, but because of the SQL:
select
"ID",
"ID" ID_DISPLAY,
"RESNUMBER",
"RESDESCRIPTION",
decode(RESTYPE,'R','Right Party','W','Wrong Party'),
decode(DMCFLAG,'Y','Yes','N','No'),
decode(SALEFLAG,'Y','Yes','N','No')
from "CALL_RESULTS"
I have to select the option Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only) otherwise I cannot save the form.
My problem is I am now unable to add a multi row selector to the tabular form. If I do and run the form I get the following error - failed to parse SQL query: ORA-00904: "COL11": invalid identifier. Also when I go back and edit the form the multi row selector has been removed.
Can anyone tell me why I can't add a row selector like I previously could?
Regards
SimonArie,
I added aliases and to the decode columns, and I can now add a row selector to the form without any problems.
Thank you very much for your help.
Regards
Simon -
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dbms_crypto - avoid error when using different key in lower environment
Hello Experts,
We are using Oracle 11.2.0.2. We are planning to implement dbms_crypto to encrypt few columns. We clone the data from production to lower environment ( DEV, QC).
For the lower environments, we do not want to get the sensitive data from production and do not plan to use same key. Rather than getting an error when using differnt key, is it possible to get a different resultset back.
In other words, we want the implementation to be same across environments but want to use a diffent key in lower environment and get different result (or garbage).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
While testing this logic, I am getting following error when using differnt key to decrypt. It works fine if I use same key.
